Baroque Happiness

Good Saturday morning! I am really sorry that I haven't posted in quite a while. I was using all my free time at school to catch up on grading, lesson plans, meetings, etc., etc. And then I got sick. Well, not sick enough to stay home (although some might have - and maybe I should have anyway). I have had migraines for several days now. At first I thought it was from allergies but now I don't know. I got 12 hours of sleep last night and I feel pretty good right now. My son has a soccer game this morning so we have that to do. I will see how I feel after that. I really want to get some stamping done! I thought that I would last weekend but I ended up cleaning out drawers and doing like 9 loads of laundry!!! UGH! Tomorrow I have a Close To My Heart party to go to. I am looking forward to getting some more clear blocks as I have been collecting quite a few clear stamps!! I got some new ones from Verve. OOOOOHHH!! I can't wait to play with those!!

O.k. On to the posted card. Yeah, not my favorite. I tried a sketch and this was the result. I don't completely hate it but I certainly don't love it. So, it will do. Anyway, I will let you form your own opinions. Or better yet, why don't you make a card using this layout and show me how to use it for "good"!!! Have a great weekend!

Inspired By Nature

Good Sunday morning everyone! Another beautiful sunny day! Not too hot and not too cold! I hope that you all have enjoyed your weekend. I am hoping to do more stamping today and get some more cards ready for the blog. I just realized that I only have two more left!! And I have a lot of really cool toys to play with so today will be a multi-tasking day of laundry and stamping! WooHoo!! I also need to get my 100 cards done for a swap that I am in. My goal is to get them mailed out early this week. Shouldn't be a problem because I have them about half done (the more difficult have is done).

Today's card comes out of a sketch that I have had around. The circle actually is supposed to go on the other side of the card but mine ended up where it is. I just love this stamp set! It was one of the first ones that I picked out from the catalog and then I realized that we got it FREE at convention!! I was so excited! I find that the best way to ink up this stamp is with sponge daubers and ink pads. It makes for a softer look and I just love it. Do you notice the little library clip? I bought those last year during the holiday mini catalog season. And I did not use a one! I was so thrilled when I saw them in the big catalog! So, my goal is to find ways to use them! They are so cute! I hope that you are inspired today! Thanks for stopping by!

Clean & Simple

Good Saturday morning! Ihave to make this quick. Our son has his first soccer game this morning and we are supposed to be there early to set up. And we haven't gotten him out of bed yet!! YIKES! One thing about our son... he LOVES his sleep! He has never been one of those kiddos who wakes up at the butt crack of dawn (thank you, Lord!).
Today's card is one that I came up with by combining sketches and pictures. Actually, I think that I just kept playing until this emerged. It seemed like it still needed something but my friend, Becky said she thought it was fine the way it was. I might have punched out some flowers with my Three For You punch and then popped those up. That would have been cute, too! Anyway, here is what the final result was and I like it fine. Have a great weekend! Talk more later!

Bella Rose Butterfly

Good afternoon all! What another great day here in Western Colorado! And it's Friday! I just sent the kiddos outside and I have a tiny bit of "free" time to get my post out.
Today's card came from a sketch that I had lying around. I have been wanting to make a card with it for some time and finally came up with something. I really liked the way this card turned out. And it was fairly easy! I know that most people would not liketo cut out the butterfly but I just love the way it looks when it's cut out. This is a 3 x 6 card that fits wonderfully in our small open end envelopes. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Breezy Butterfly

Good afternoon my blogging friends! I am running late today. I was busy grading and posting at lunch time and I was trying to catch up so that I wouldn't have to do it at home! And guess what? I did it!! I am so excited! It's times like this that make me think that the kiddos are catching on!

Well, today's card is not a Best Wishes card! Aren't you excited? But it is another Kind Thoughts card. I just love this set! Do I love too many sets? Probably. Oh, well! This card was inspired by a sketch that I had seen. A very easy card to do and so versatile! I hope that it inspires you all as well!

Upsy Daisy

Good afternoon! It is so pleasant here in Grand Junction, CO today! I just love these nice cooler temperatures! It sure puts me in a good mood. We had a GREAT chapel service at school today and now I am eating lunch. I won't tell you what it is because you will probably be grossed out but it fills my tummy for now. Anyway, I hope that you are all doing great and love my card!

Today's card was inspired by one that Becky did at her card class last month. And what a super simple card this is. I just LOVE this set! It is a brand new one and is on sale this month!! Bonus!!! So be sure to get yours before time runs out! This card also showcases our new ribbon and our new large oval punch. Have a great day and I will see you at lunch time tomorrow!

Tango Happiness

Good afternoon! It's another fun-filled day at school! Actually, things are starting to fall into place and it seems like the students are starting to figure out what they need to do. I hope that keeps up! I have a feeling that this month may get a little long.
So are you all sick of seeing the Best Wishes set? I told you it was versatile! Don't you all think that you need this set? Well, sure you do!! This card is super easy to do. The flowers take some time cutting out but other than that it is easy to put all together. I used the new Baja Breeze ribbon and the new circle punch. And these are just a few of my favorite things...
Enjoy your day and see you tomorrow!

Fancy Flowers

Good Afternoon my blogging friends! I made it back from Ouray a couple of hours ago but I have been placing my Stampin' Up! order. Today is the first day that demonstrators can order from the new and upcoming Holiday mini catalog! There are some very wonderful things in there and I didn't want to waste any time!! I also needed a few things from the main catalog and so, once again, I spend way too much money! Oh, well. At least I will have some fun!!

Today's card probably was inspired from something but I can't remember what. I made this card two Sundays ago while at Becky's. I do like the way it all came together. I used my new brads (LOVE these) and the new ribbon and paper. A fairly easy card to put together. I also used my new Fancy Flowers stamp set. I did have to use the stamp-a-ma-jig to do the flower but it was easier than messing up a million times!! I hope that you all had a fabulously long weekend! I know I did! Take care and I will see you on my lunch hour at school!
