Fine Flourish

Good Sunday afternoon to you all! Our morning started with a little snow but the sun keeps peeking through so I am still hopeful. And the temperatures look like they could warm up this week. I am hoping to spend some time in the ol' stamp room to get caught up on some projects. I have a workshop coming up and I need to get myself ready for that. And I just enjoy playing with all my goodies!

Today's card is one that I sort of took from a sketch. I got the new Fine Flourish stamp for my birthday and I am looking forward to figuring out how to best use it. That might be my focus for today - lol! Have a super day and thanks for stopping by!

Springtime?

Hello everyone! We are now mid way through the week! I am looking forward to a weekend of play. I think that I say this every week and yet, I have yet to REALLY play. It seems that something always gets in the way. If you have been following my blog at all, then you know how much I have been dreaming of more spring like weather. Which is really silly if you think about it because we are still in the middle of winter and I do live in Colorado. But still. I was hoping that the ugly snow from before Christmas would finally melt. And it did a little. But now? Yeah, it is a winter wonderland once again! It has not stopped snowing since 10:30 this morning!!! We have over 3 inches at our house and they say there is a lot more coming! So my students were praying for a snow day. And, secretly, I am too but I don't think that will happen. But then again...

Today's card doesn't describe what the weather is doing here - LOL!! But I like it anyway. I hope it's nicer where you all are. Take care and have a super evening!!

Embossed Heart

Hello Friends! I hope that you all had a great day! Mine was pretty good! It seems like the week is flying by! Nothing exciting going on right now but that's o.k.

Today's card was made from a sketch that I had. Another super simple card. To do the heart I took the Full Heart punch and punched out a heart from Whisper White cardstock. Then I used my new Scalloped Heart of Hearts embosslit and ran it through the Big Shot. The punched out heart is small enough that only the heart gets embossed. Then I ran a piece of Real Red through the Big Shot using the Scalloped Heart of Hearts embosslit again and this time it cut out and embossed. I had seen this idea used and wanted to give it a try. Too fun!! I also got to use my new Scallop Trim border punch. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Crushed Wheat

Good evening everyone! I thought I had better get my post up before I go off to bed. Not much exciting happening around here. Just trying to stay warm.

Today's card started out being something completely different. I know that I am not the only one that this happens to. In the end I suppose it turned out all right. I started with the stamped images and really liked that part. But then I couldn't figure out what to do with it. LOL! I found this sketch and thought I could make it work. I may have to try this one again sometime soon. We will see. Anyway, it is a different direction than all the hearts that I have been posting lately. Sometimes I forget about all the other stamps that I have. Thanks for stopping by and have a super evening!

Easter Blessings

Good Sunday morning, Friends! We are finally seeing some sun today! I do hope it warms up a bit. Our son was invited to spend the night at a friend's last night so my husband I took advantage of that! We went out to a nice dinner and then came home and watched a movie. It was a nice evening! We could actually talk to each other!! But today will be a day of laundry and watching football. I do hope to find some time to stamp. Now that the internet is working I am looking to find some new sketches!

Today's card is more proof of my wishing spring would come. I am sorry that the picture isn't great. I have been noticing that lately. I think I need to finally invest in one of those photo tents. I always thought that I could get by without one but I think it is time. Thanks for stopping by and have a super weekend!

Thinking Green?

Happy Saturday everyone! I hope your weekend is going just great! I know that the weather is not cooperating with some people but hopefully all is well. I thought that spring might be coming but the weather forecast for this week proved me wrong with the temperatures below freezing for the week. Yuck! At least most of the snow has finally melted! It has been here for more than a month! And it is really looking gross! It can snow in the mountains as they really need it but I am good without it. LOL!! It wasn't a great day for sports around here. Poor Nick. His teams lost their two soccer games, and their basketball game. Bummer. But here's hoping to next week.
Today's card is one of several that I made using my new Go Green stamp from the Occasions mini catalog. I LOVE this stamp! You might think that there isn't much to do with just one stamp but I came up with a few more ideas. I stuck with the Artichoke and Kraft color combination to stick with the whole 'green' theme. You know. Environmentally friendly. Well, I thought it work (lol). I wasn't sure if I wanted to post a St. Patrick's Day card right now but, hey, why not? I will try to spread the others out. Like I said, I am ready for spring!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Fancy Flower

Good afternoon everyone! I hope you are ready for a great weekend! I know that I sure am!! I can't wait to sleep in a bit. But wait... That's right. I can't this weekend!! UGH! Nope. Nick has a soccer tournament this weekend. And, while it may be fun, we have to be there at 7:30 a.m.!!! Yikes! Not looking forward to that. And Nick was not that happy either. But we will persevere. Tonight, my friend Becky is making Sherri and Emily and I dinner! YUM!! I think that I have told you all before that she makes THE BEST chicken and noodles EVER!! And somehow, it has become a tradition for her to make them for every body's birthday. Well, I LOVE this tradition!! Can't wait!

Today's card is made from a sketch that I found. It didn't turn out quite the way I saw it in my mind but it wasn't terrible. I got my new flower punch and wanted to try it out. I also used the new Pretty In Pink corduroy button. Not much else to say about it. Thanks for stopping by!

Back On-Line!

Hi Friends! I am back on-line! Yea!! The internet guy wasn't supposed to come until Friday and he came today! Looks like everything is working great! I am so excited about that! I have really missed surfing all the super cool blogs and gathering ideas. I am looking forward to another great weekend of playing!
Today's card is a version of one I saw while blurfing. I added a few things here and there and came up with this. It's o.k. Not my favorite but it works. I do like the way it shows off the designer paper. Gotta go! Dinner with Becky and then card class! Yea! Some more ideas to use!! Thanks for stopping by!

Triple Heart

Hello, Friends! Did you miss me yesterday? Well, our internet decided to blink out on us and so we have NO internet access and it is very frustrating! There is a guy who will be coming out to check out what's wrong but that won't be till Friday! Yikes!! I do have more cards to show you all but I wanted to wait and show those till after Valentine's Day as they are for St. Patrick's Day. I might give you a peek at one of them. So, if I am sporadic in my postings this week, at least you will know why.

Today's card is a favorite of mine. I know that there really isn't that much to it but that's what I like. Simple, quick and easy! I stamped the hearts stamp onto Kraft and then used the three heart punch to punch them all out at once. The punch does not allow for a border but I thought that was o.k. in this case. I glued two of the hearts down onto the card itself and the third got a brad with a dimensional. Too fun!

Heart to Heart Friend

Good Sunday morning, everyone! I hope your weekend is going great! Yesterday Nick had his first basketball game and it went really well! We don't keep score but I bet we won or came really close! They played great!! Then he played an indoor soccer game in the evening and they did win that one! So, I told him that was a great birthday present for me. In a short while we will be going out for breakfast. Yum!!

Today's card is one that I took from Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch. This sketch is actually last week's sketch and I did it a while ago but I am just now getting it put up. I really liked the way it turned out and it is super easy! Thanks for stopping by and have a relaxing day!

Mambo Heart

Good morning, Friends! Ahhhh! It's the weekend! Last night I went out with several of my friends that I work with and we went to Olive Garden for dinner. We got there at 6:00 but had to wait for a table for about 40 minutes. I tell you this because we didn't leave until close to 10:30!! Did we have a great time or what??? We laughed and cried and laughed a whole lot more! I ate my entire plate and then had dessert. It was so much fun! And, yes, today is my birthday. My mom made me the most beautiful card! Love it, Mom, thanks! So what am I doing today? Well, Nick has a basketball game at 12:30 and then an indoor soccer game this evening. My husband said we could go eat after that. I am also thinking that breakfast tomorrow morning would be super! So a while back I said something about how I might like to have an iPod touch. Well, my husband remembered that and guess what I got for my birthday? Yep! My son is SOOOO jealous!! He has been working to get one of his own but he tried to convince me that daddy bought this so we could "share". Yeah, right! I don't think so!! Above all, I just hope I get time to play in my stamp room!

So, today's card is one that I came up with after looking at many blogs and seeing different ideas I liked. I decided to put some together and here is what was produced! I rather like it and I like the fact that I can use my In Colors. I feel like I haven't used them in quite a while. And with Valentine's coming up, I will be using a lot of hearts!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super weekend!

Love You Much

Good morning, Friends! I am so glad that it is finally Friday! I am looking forward to a great weekend. And I have some new toys to play with as well. Last night I had a wonderful time with some great stamping friends! We had to postpone our Christmas party because of bad weather last month. So, last night we made up for it with good food and LOTS of fun! We also celebrated my birthday (which is tomorrow). The ladies were so very thoughtful and I got some very nice things!!! But the funniest thing was that we had a white elephant gift exchange. We were supposed to bring the ugliest stamp set we could find and wrap it and bring it to exchange. We each drew numbers and that's what we got. Well, wait till you see the stamp set I got! Oh My!! Yeah! Thanks, Alison!! Then we said that we had to make a card with the set we got for show and tell at our next month's meeting! I will have to work hard to come up with something!! But it was so much fun and I haven't laughed like that in a long time!! Thanks, my shoebox friends, for a wonderful time!!

Today's card comes from a layout that I found in the Wishes book from Close To My Heart. I thought it all turned out pretty cute. And it is easy to do! Thanks for stopping by and have a super Friday!!

Embossed Butterflies

Good morning, Friends! I hope that your week has gone by wonderfully! I know that many of us are looking forward to the weekend and it's almost here!! I am just excited that the sun is shining for a while and is finally melting some of the snow. I want to get rid of this dirty looking snow! I am starting to get spring fever!! It seems like it will never get here. I know. Be patient. :)

Today's card is another that I copied from the Stampin' Success magazine that demonstrators get. I just got the latest one yesterday and it, too, is filled with many great samples! Can't wait to try some of them out! The card in the magazine was made with the butterfly punch but I wanted to try it with the Beautiful Wings embosslit. I used the same colors but changed the greeting and the ribbon. I really love how it all turned out. And it got me to use my Bermuda Bay cardstock! I haven't used that color in quite a while. I really like it so I need to use it more. Anyway, thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Vintage Vogue

Hello, Friends! We are going to be starting that downhill slide to the weekend! Yea!! I am looking forward to finding some time to play with my new toys. And, now that my computer disk drive is working and I have downloaded My Digital Studio to it, I am looking forward to playing with that, too! And I can do that in front of the t.v. while watching the football game! Sounds like a great weekend!

Today's card is one that I got from the Stampin' Success magazine. This is a magazine that only demonstrators can get. It is filled with great ideas for your business as well as your creativity. In the latest issue I saw this card and just loved the layout and colors. They used an entirely different stamp set so I did change that part of it. I really liked how this turned out. Thanks for stopping by!

Scripted Hearts

Hello, Friends! I hope your week is going super! Not a whole lot happening right now. I just have a few minutes before lunch to get this post up so I thought I would take advantage.

This card is really super simple! A layout that can be used over and over for many different occasions! You all will probably see it many more times from me, too!! Can you tell that I am in love with the Occasions mini products? And I got some new toys to play with! Can't wait to have some time!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

More Scraps

Good afternoon/evening! I hope you all had a fabulous day! Mine wasn't too bad. I am getting ready to leave to have dinner with some close friends of mine. So I have to make this quick.
Today's card is one that uses up your scraps of paper. It goes together really quick and easy! Love it!! I know that you can't tell, but I used a very thin strip of the Bashful Blue designer paper for the button. Can't have a naked button!! LOL! I think that the card that I took the inspiration from was a Christmas card. Very versatile card! Give it a try. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Happy Birthday, Mom!

Hello, Friends! I hope that you all are having a fantasitc weekend! Mine has been relaxing. I think I might even have some time to stamp today! I did stamp a couple of cards yesterday but I wanted to watch the football games. And then Nick had an indoor soccer game. And they lost again (9-4). It really should have been (8-5) but I won't go into all of that. They played hard and I really thought that when we scored our first goal within the first minute that we were going to win. We will just keep trying!

Today's card was not made specifically for my mom but it is her birthday today!! Happy Birthday, Mom!! Yes, I am a terrible person. I just don't seem to get my cards actually 'mailed' out! I find that I can give them to people but mailing them is hard for me. Weird, I know. Anyway, I really liked how this card turned out. And it is super simple! I love how a card like this really shows off the background papers. And the new Beautiful Wings embosslit is just too fun! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Well Scripted

Good morning, Friends! I am so excited that it is Saturday! I got to sleep in and I am drinking a cup of coffee and surfing blogs and getting ready to stamp a little! What could be better? And there are playoff games today! And then later this evening, Nick has another indoor game. Last night's was really fun! They did lose (6-4) but for a while it looked like they would at least go out with a tie. But in the last two minutes of the game the other team scored two more goals. Bummer. But it was still fun!
Today's card is just a fun one to do. I love how it shows off the designer paper. I mean, who would want to cover this all up? I don't know if you can tell or not, but the paper has glitter on it. It is our new Sending Love specialty designer paper. The paper is double sided and the other side does not have glitter on it. It is really hard to 'want' to cover up the pretty glitter side. But I have done it. This is just a super simple card for any occasion. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Last One (For Now)

Hello, Friends! It's Friday! And that's a good thing. I am excited to have some more time to stamp. I tried to start a card last night but just got too tired. So, I am hoping to be able to finish it up this weekend. Our sports season has started up once again and won't end until the middle part of June or July. Wow! Tonight we have basketball practice and our first indoor soccer game. I say 'our' but it is my son who does all the work. I just get to enjoy it!

So, today's card is the last one I have with the Le Jardin Boutinque set. This card started with no real purpose and then it just sort of came together. I LOVE it when that happens. It certainly doesn't happen all that often. I thought that this would be a perfect masculine card. I also used the Solid Stripe stamp that is in the Occasions mini catalog. I am in LOVE with that stamp!! Wait till you see some of the other things I have done with it. The Solid Stripe stamp is stamped in VersaMark and looks like it is embossed. This truly is a super simple card but packs a big punch! I think this is one of my favorites. Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

Sympathy

Good morning, Friends! I hope that you are having a great week. Nothing real exciting going on right now and I guess that is a good thing!

I do hope that you are not too tired of this stamp set yet. I had a lot fun making a bunch of cards using this set. And since I was borrowing it I thought I had better make good use of it! I made a sympathy card. I haven't needed one for quite a while and that is a good thing. For this card I made it so that it could go both masculine and feminine. I really liked how it turned out. The hardest part was cutting out the leaf but I like the way it looks cut out and popped up. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Thinking of You

Wow! Thanks for all your support and your encouraging comments! You all are so wonderful!

I wanted to share this card that I made with the same stamp set as yesterday. Again, I don't know if the name is correct as I am making this post while at school. This stamp set is a really nice one for elegant cards and even masculine cards. This card was not one of my favorites but it still turned out nice. This didn't come out at all like I had envisioned. I am sure that many of you can relate to that!! Anyway, it is a very simple card. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

New Look!

Good morning everyone! Well, it's back to school for me and many other teachers and students. It sure is hard to get back into the routine but here we go anyway. So what do you all think about my new blog look? I thought with the new year I would work on getting a new look. I used the My Digital Studio to make my blog header. I am still working to tweak a few things but I am liking the overall look so far! If you haven't worked with the My Digital Studio let me tell you how much fun it is! I can't wait till I have more time to really play with it.

Today's card is not one of my favorites but I did like how it turned out. My friend Becky bought this set and let me borrow it. I really like the images in this set and have a few other cards to share with you in the coming days. I will put the stamp set name in the recipe but I cannot promise you that I will spell it correctly because I am at school and don't have my catalog with me. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Sweet Pea Scraps

Good morning, Friends! I hope your weekend was refreshing! I know mine was. Now I need to get my mind focused on school and the whole routine once again. It is really hard for me this year. But we will get through this. I am making this post a little quick as I will be joining some of my wonderful co-workers for coffee in a bit. Good thing, too. It is one foggy freezing morning!!

For today's card I copied a similar layout. And what's great is that you can use some of those pesky scraps of designer paper that you have lying around. They card I saw used Christmas paper. I used our new Sweet Pea designer paper. I just love the colors in this pad. So the only thing stamped is the greeting. A flower from the Flower Trio punch with a brad, some scallops and yummy satin ribbon and there you have it! Clean and simple! Thanks for stopping by!

Friends

Good Sunday morning everyone! I can't believe that Christmas break is almost over. While I don't have to be at school tomorrow (teacher work day), I am mourning the fact that I will have to get up early and start the routine all over again. We have really enjoyed this Christmas break! We packed it full and had so much fun being together as a family! And not only does school start this week but so do the sports. And, yes, I am excited about that but it has been nice to be lazy. I told my son that it will be the sports that will make the time seem like it is going by faster. I hope that's true! Why do I wish my time away like that? I think I need to remember to enjoy each moment. For me I am just sad that I won't have all day to stamp. I have really loved that! And in a while I will be stamping with my good friend, Becky! I haven't seen her in a while and I am looking forward to it. I am sure that we will have the Bronco game on as well. I hope they don't embarrass themselves again.

Well, I hope that you all enjoyed the LOVE tour! I had fun participating in that. And I want to keep that excitement going with this card. This card is not one of my favorites that I made this week but it's not terrible. There is nothing difficult about it. I do love this new Vintage Vogue set and I have some other cards that I have made that I am happier with so make sure to stop by to see what else I have come up with. I have lots more to show you! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Day 3 of RemARKable LOVE Blog Tour

Welcome back, everyone, to the final day of the LOVE blog tour. I am so sad that this is the final day. I have really enjoyed seeing all the other creations. I hope that you all have fallen in LOVE with some great products and are ready to place your orders from the new Occasions mini catalog and receive SAB product for FREE!!

As I was playing with my new toys, I found some more new product that I am in LOVE with! This card is a very simple and easy card. If you haven't noticed yet, I love the clean and simple designs. It is also very versatile. When you purchase the Well Scripted stamp set you will have a greeting for any occasion. I LOVE the font of this stamp set! And that is the only thing that is stamped on this card! Easy! The rest is layered with Sweet Pea designer paper. Yep! I LOVE designer paper!! I own so much designer paper that it would take me years to use it all up! To finish this card up I used the new Beautiful Wings embosslit (another new LOVE) with a vintage brad and some luscious Chocolate Chip satin ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope that you will come by again! I have lots more to show you!! Have a super weekend!

Day 2 of RemARKable LOVE Blog Tour

Happy New Year everyone! My family and I were very blessed to be able to spend the evening (and early morning) with friends! We haven't done that in quite a while and it was really FUN! We ate a very nice meal and then a yummy dessert and then snacked the evening away with some very fun games! At midnight we toasted to a new year with some sparkling cider. So, my new year is already off to a great start! Tomorrow afternoon we are all going to go sledding.

Here we are with Day 2 of the LOVE tour! I was able to get some quality stamping time done today. I had a great time stamping projects using my new toys! I do LOVE these stamps and accessories! Today I am sharing a card made with I {Heart} Hearts set. I LOVE this new set! And when I was making this card, I found it super easy to make the row of Pink hearts because of the new clear mount stamps! I also wanted to use my new Sending Love specialty designer paper. I LOVE the glitter on this paper! This card is pretty straight forward and simple. And you gotta LOVE that!! Be sure to stop by tomorrow for the last day in the LOVE blog tour. I will be showing off some more things that I just LOVE from the Occasions mini catalog! Right now, though, be sure to click on the link below to continue on with the LOVE tour! Have a super day!
