iSpy 11

Good morning, Friends! Another week to start! I can't believe this is the last of April! Wow!! The time has really flown by! I think it really seems that way because we are always so busy on the weekends and when we come home it's time to start another week. One more traveling weekend and then we have some at home. Ahhh! Nothing exciting happening today. Just some laundry and maybe a hunt for a new sewing machine. Since I am knee deep in fabric, I need to find a new one so I can keep sewing together my quilt! We'll see.

Today's card is one that I did for a recent swap I was in. I used the sketch at iSpy Sketches for this one. It's an older one but I really liked the simplicity of it and these are some of my favorite colors! The images are from Kindness Matters. I stamped the sentiment in Calypso Coral onto a piece of Whisper White and adhered that to a piece of Calypso Coral and then popped up the panel onto a card base of Whisper White. I stamped the butterflies using my Baja Breeze, Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight markers onto a piece of Whisper White and adhered it to a piece of Baja Breeze. I added three mini brads to the butterflies and a bit of Calypso Coral ribbon. This was adhered to a strip of Daffodil Delight with both ends flagged and then popped up onto the card. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

iSpy 12

Good Sunday morning, Friends! I hope your weekend is going super! Another early morning here. The boys have a soccer game and then we head home. At least we will be getting home earlier this weekend and will have some time before the weekend fully comes to a close. Might have to take a nap.

Today's card was inspired by an older iSpy sketch. I love the banners peeking out from the main panel. I kept my card very simple. I took three strips of Newsprint designer paper, flagged the ends, and then sponged them with Crumb Cake before adhering them to a Crumb Cake card base. Then I stamped the image from My Friend in black StazOn on Very Vanilla and sponged the edges with Crumb Cake before adhering it to a piece of Basic Black. This panel is popped up onto the card. Then I stamped the sentiment in black StazOn onto a strip of Very Vanilla. I flagged the end and glued it to the main panel. I added a button from the Regals collection and a rhinestone in the middle. And there you have it! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

LNS 170

Good morning, Friends! It's an early one for us around here as we are heading to Denver for another round of soccer games. Actually, they play in Denver this afternoon and then we head to Colorado Springs for the night as they have an early game on Sunday. So I will be making this quick!

Today's card is for the Late Night Stampers Challenge. The challenge was to find a card on Pinterest and copy it. I found 'this' card on Pinterest and used Stampin' Up! supplies to recreate it. I love all the rounded corners and shapes used on this one! My card base is Whisper White with various squares of Island Indigo, Whisper White and Pool Party designer paper squares adhered to it. I rounded the corners of the squares with my 1" circle punch. I like how the circle punch gave the corners a little more curve than my regular corner punch would have. The greeting is from Friendly Phrases and is popped up on the card. I added a punched flower from Island Indigo using the itty bitty shapes punch pack and some rhinestones. What a super fun layout! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good Friday morning, Friends! I am excited to show you the latest challenge at Sketch Frenzy Friday! This week's sketch was created by Jennifer Weide. Take a look!

Very clean and simple and holds so many possibilities! Here is what I came up with.

I started with a card base of Pear Pizzazz. Then I took a piece of Blushing Bride and ran it through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice embossing folder. I sponged the edges with Blushing Bride and added two brads to opposite corners. Then I adhered it to the card. Then I took a piece of Whisper White and stamped the leaf image from Fabulous Florets in Pear Pizzazz. I adhered this to a piece of Early Espresso and popped up the panel on the card. I stamped the flower on a scrap of Whisper White in Blushing Bride. I cut it out and popped it up onto the card. The last thing I did was to stamp the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Early Espresso on a strip of Whisper White and flag one end. This is adhered to the main panel.

Time to go see what Jennifer has come up with! Click 'here' to visit her blog. Be sure to visit each of the designer's blog to see what they did with this sketch. I do hope that you will find time to play along with us this week! Upload your creation to the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog so that we can all take a look, too! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

CCMC 199

Good morning everyone! I hope your week is going great! Only one more day till Friday!! So it is time for another super fun challenge at Create with Connie and Mary! This week we are being challenged with color. Take a look!

Sahara Sand, Night of Navy and Peach Parfait are the colors of choice for this week's challenge. Aren't they pretty? And it's time to use up the Peach Parfait as it will be going away this year. I have enjoyed using this color, too! It looks really good with the others. Take a look at what I came up with.

I took inspiration from a challenge at CASE Study that was posted quite a while ago. A very clean and simple card! My card base is Sahara Sand to which I adhered a strip of Sahara Sand designer paper from the Neutrals stack. Then I took another piece of Sahara Sand and stamped the image from Just Believe in Sahara Sand and the greeting in Night of Navy. I punched a strip of Night of Navy card stock with the dotted ribbon scallop punch and adhered it to the back of the panel and popped it up onto the card. Then I took a piece of Peach Parfait and ran it through the Big Shot with the Beautiful Wings embosslit. I added a mini brad before adhering it to the card.

I do hope you will visit the Create with Connie and Mary site to get more inspiration from all the fabulous designers! Then be sure to create your own project using these colors and upload it so we can all see! We love it when you play along! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

FMS 31

Good morning everyone! I hope your week is going great! Mine seems to be flying by but what else is new - lol! It is just a reminder that I need to enjoy every moment! Thankfully, it won't be a really busy day today. I should have time to get some stamping done and time to get more fabric cut for my quilt!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. This one didn't turn out quite like I had pictured it should but I couldn't figure out what else to do. So here it is - lol! My card base is Whisper White. I cut down another piece of Whisper White and adhered two pieces of Lucky Limeade designer paper. Then this panel is adhered to the card base. I took a piece of Island Indigo to the Big Shot and ran it through using the Perfect Pennants die. I punched a 2 1/2" circle from Whisper White and glued it to the scallop circle. This is popped up on the card. Then I stamped the pennant from Pennant Parade in Island Indigo and punched it with the Pennant Builder punch. I stamped it again in Daffodil Delight and cut out just the center part. I glued this to the punched piece and added two mini brads in the top corners. This is popped up on the circle. Then I stamped the word in Island Indigo on a strip of Whisper White and flagged both ends. This is adhered to the pennant. I had a baby boy in mind when I made this so I didn't want to add ribbon to the card. But maybe baby boys don't mind ribbon? Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Mojo 238

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is off to a great start! It's always nice to get Monday over with! Nothing exciting happening this week around here. I found some time to get some stamping done yesterday. Still need to catch up on a few things but then I think I am going to dive into some fabric that came in and start on my first quilt! I am so excited to do one! I will keep you updated on my progress. I am doing a "Fun and Done" quilt. I did square up my fabric yesterday so I will start cutting and getting it ready for sewing! Yea!!

Today's card was inspired by the Mojo Monday sketch! What a fantastic sketch they had this week! I love all the squares! I punched 12 squares from Whisper White with the 1 1/4" square punch and then ran them through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. Then I rounded opposite corners on each before I adhered them to a piece of Whisper White. I wrapped a piece of Wisteria Wonder ruffled ribbon around this and popped the panel up onto a Whisper White card base. Then I punched a piece of Whisper White with the 2 1/2" circle punch and stamped the stem from Fabulous Florets in Lucky Limeade. This circle is adhered to a piece of Wisteria Wonder that was cut with the Perfect Pennants die and then this is popped up onto the card. I stamped the flower in Wisteria Wonder onto a scrap of Whisper White and cut it out. This is popped up onto the stem. Then I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes onto a strip of Whisper White, flagged one end and tucked the other behind the flower. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Good morning, Friends! It's hard for me to believe that this is the last week of April! Wow! Where does the time go? It was a L O N G drive home yesterday! The boys didn't play well. Bummer. It was really quiet in our car! Now it is quite a fight to get him going this morning! Thankfully, this will be the last weekend for a late night ride home. Only three more games. It's been a quick season! Also, I promised you the link to the fabric organizer that I made last week for the Control Freaks blog tour. I finally found it and you can find it 'here'. Thanks for being patient with me on that one.

My card today was inspired by the sketch at My Favorite Things. I finally used something other than white as my card base - lol!! My card base this time is Island Indigo. This I layered a piece of the Summer Smooches onto two strips of Lucky Limeade that were punched with the dotted ribbon scallop punch. I inserted two silver brads before adhering it to the card base. Then I stamped the image from Bright Blossoms onto Whisper White in Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade and Tangerine Tango. This panel is popped up onto the card. I stamped the floral bunch on a scrap piece of Whisper White in Tangerine Tango and cut around it. I popped this up onto the panel. Then I stamped the greeting from Bring on the Cake in Island Indigo and adhered it to the panel. Quick and Easy!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Razzleberry Smooch

Good morning, Friends! I hope you are having a fabulous weekend! It's been another busy one for us. Nick will have another soccer game later this afternoon and then we will be on our way home once again to start another week! They tied their game yesterday! That is exciting as that team hasn't lost or tied yet this season! Hopefully they will play that well today!! We also got to watch the Rapids play last night against the Galaxy. That was an exciting game, too! The boys thought it was way cool to see Beckham and Donovan! The Rapids lost but it was still fun and exciting!

Today's card was inspired by a card a friend of mine did at our last shoebox swap. I really liked her layout and decided to give it a go with Stampin' Up! products. My card base is Whisper White. To that I adhered a piece of the Summer Smooches designer paper that has the two side corners rounded. Then I adhered a strip of Lucky Limeade that was punched with the scallop edge border punch. Then I took a strip of Whisper White and stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Rich Razzleberry and flagged one end. This is glued to the top of the scallop piece. Then I took a piece of Whisper White to the Big Shot and ran it through with the Designer Frames embossing folder. I cut this out and stamped the vase from Bright Blossoms in Rich Razzleberry, Lucky Limeade and Daffodil Delight. I popped this up onto the card and added a button from the Brights Collections and a rhinestone. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Retro 7

Good morning everyone! I hope your weekend is off to a great start! We will be starting our Saturday off with a soccer game (on our home turf) then immediately following that, we all get in our cars and drive to Denver to watch the Colorado Rapids play a game and then we spend the night there and play a game in Denver on Sunday before driving home. It will be another late night on Sunday. But it will be another fun weekend, too. Here's hoping that the boys play as well as they did last weekend!! I promised you the tutorial for the little fabric organizer that I made for the Control Freaks blog tour and I still need to find where I got it. I am looking but my internet doesn't want to help me out right now. Please be patient. Thanks!!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Retro Sketches. I am late in getting it into the challenge but it was still fun to play along! Last week when I was making up cards for the week, I had a fun time playing with the new Summer Smooches line! So you will be seeing a lot of cards with these products! My card base is Whisper White with two panels of Island Indigo card stock adhered to it. Then I took another piece of Whisper White and used the scallop punch to punch the bottom and adhered this to the card. I took another piece of Whisper White and ran it through the Big Shot with the Designer Frames embossing folder. I cut this out and stamped the vase from Bright Blossoms in Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade and Daffodil Delight. I popped this up onto the card. I stamped the flower onto a scrap of Whisper White in Tangerine Tango, cut it out and popped it up onto the card. Then I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Island Indigo onto a strip of Whisper White and flagged one end. I attached this to a strip of Island Indigo that was punched with the dotted ribbon scallop punch and then adhered it to the card. Then I took a button from the brights collections and added a silver brad to the middle and adhered that to the card. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Smoochin' With the Freaks!

Hello everyone and welcome to another Control Freaks blog tour! Did you come from Sandy's blog? Wow! She is always so creative and clever! Love her work!! If you just happened upon my blog or are a follower, never fear because when you click on the button below you will move on to the next blog on the tour and eventually you will end up where you began! This month the Control Freaks are showcasing the new Summer Smooches product line! This line of products will be available till the end of April and then be available when the new catalog comes out in June! So get ready to be inspired!! (please note that if you are visiting before the 20th not all the links may be up and working; so come back on the 20th when you will be able to go through the entire tour without a hiccup!)

So my first project is a card. I used the sketch at Sketch Frenzy Friday to make this card. It is a very clean and simple card (just the way I like 'em)!

I started with a card base of Whisper White and adhered a piece of the Summer Smooches designer paper. Then I stamped the image from Bright Blossoms in Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade and Daffodil Delight onto a piece of Whisper White. I stamped the tulip in Island Indigo onto a scrap piece of Whisper White and cut it out. This is popped up onto the panel and a rhinestone is added. I wrapped a piece of Island Indigo ruffled ribbon around the panel and tied a clear button on with a piece of white baker's twine. This panel is popped up onto the card. I stamped the greeting onto a strip of Whisper White and flagged one end. This is adhered to the stamped panel.

My second project was made with the new Summer Smooches designer fabric. I LOVE this new fabric! The colors are so vibrant, cheery and FUN!

I found a tutorial on how to make a fabric organizer. What a super easy and fun project! And it is very useful! If you will come back later this weekend, I will post a link to the tutorial so that you can make them, too! My sewing is not perfect but I am getting better - lol! I am thinking that I need to make more of these to organize my silverware in my kitchen!

I hope you enjoyed seeing my Summer Smooches projects! It is time to send you on to see all the wonderful creations that LeeAnn has made! You will not be disappointed!! Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

Good morning everyone! It's a great day for another challenge with the Create with Connie and Mary team! Check out this super fun sketch!

So many fun possibilities with this one! I wanted to do something fun and bright and cheery so here is what I came up with!

My card base is Whisper White. I adhered a piece of designer paper from the Summer Smooches pack and then rounded the bottom corners. I ran a strip of Real Red through the Big Shot with the Tasteful Trim die and adhered it to the card. I stamped the clouds from the Up, Up and Away set in Island Indigo onto the card and the balloon in Real Red, the basket in Island Indigo and the tail in Daffodil Delight onto scrap paper and cut them out. I ran a piece of Island Indigo through the Big Shot with the Labels framelit and a piece of Daffodil Delight with the Lots of Tags sizzlet. I glued the Label framelit to the card. I stamped the greeting onto a piece of Whisper White with Island Indigo and punched it out with the extra large oval punch and glued it to the Daffodil tag. This is popped up onto the label. The balloon is attached to the oval and tag. As a finishing touch I punched out a flower from Daffodil Delight with the itty bitty punch pack and added a rhinestone.

Make sure that you visit Create and Connie and Mary to see what the other very talented designers did with this sketch! I hope to see your creation linked up sometime this week! I always look forward to see your interpretations!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Framed Smooch

Good morning, Friends! Boy am I tired!! I slept well but last weekend is starting to catch up to me. Ugh! Two more days until another crazy weekend - lol! I hope that we won't get home as late as last weekend. It looks like the weather will be a lot warmer and much nicer! I didn't have my act together either and didn't have anything ready to post. So yesterday I sat down and started creating! It took me a while to get my mojo going but I did come up with some cards! I played a lot with my new Summer Smooches line. These products are available till the end of this month! And don't forget to look at the retired list! It is out as well. I am only losing 41 sets this year. I didn't think that was too bad!

Today's card was inspired by one I saw in the recent PaperCrafts Magazine. This is a super simple card and has no layers! However, it did take quite a few tries to get the vase of flowers centered and straight - lol! I did have to resort to a Stamp-a-ma-jig for help. I colored the image from Bright Blossoms with Rich Razzleberry, Lucky Limeade and Daffodil Delight and stamped it onto my card base of Whisper White. Below the image I stamped the greeting from Friendly Phrases in black StazOn. Then I used a ruler to draw a frame around it with my Basic Black marker. I added a Rich Razzleberry button and put a rhinestone in the middle. And that's it! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Extreme Birthday

Good early morning everyone! Well, it seems so much earlier than usual. We got home pretty late last night. The roads weren't that bad but the visibility wasn't great. The snow and rain kept us from going too fast. And then it got dark. And then it started to rain and snow again while it was dark and we had to go pretty slow again because it was hard to see when the snow is blowing toward you. But we made it home safe and sound and went right to bed. Now it is time to start another week. And Nick is going really slow this morning. Some of his soccer buddies get to stay home from school and sleep in. So he is mad at us. Yes, we are mean. The price you pay to play sports...

Anyway, on to the card. Today's card was inspired by one I saw in the recent issue of PaperCrafts Magazine. I used this card for this month's shoebox swap. It's a truly super easy card and I love how it came out! My card base is Sahara Sand and I stamped the splatter stamp from Extreme Elements in Sahara Sand. Then I took a strip of Sahara Sand and rounded the top by using the 1 3/4" circle punch. I stamped the greeting from Happiest Birthday Wishes in black StazOn and flagged the bottom. I sponged the edges with Sahara Sand ink and added a jumbo eyelet to the top. This is popped up onto the card. Then I stamped the car from Need for Speed in black StazOn onto Whisper White card stock and colored it in with the Poppy Parade marker. I cut it out and adhered it to the tag while popping the back end up. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Flighty Butterfly

Good Sunday morning everyone! I hope your weekend is going great! I know that a lot of people in the mid west didn't get a lot of sleep last night because of all the storms. Wow! I will need to check in with my family today to see how they faired. We are in Denver and they got a lot of rain. The boys still were able to play their game yesterday. We will see about today. And it looks like the mountains probably got snow so going home will be interesting...

Today's card was another that I did with my stamp club this month. This is a very simple card and I really like this unique layout. I also tried some different colors together. My card base is pool party. I took two strips of Concord Crush and rounded the ends with the 1" circle punch. I added two silver brads and adhered them to the card base. Then I stamped the sentiment from Flight of the Butterfly in Concord Crush onto a piece of Whisper White. This is popped up onto the card. I stamped the butterflies onto a scrap piece of Whisper White - the solid one in Pool Party and the little one in Concord Crush. I cut them out, layered them and put a brad through them. These are popped up onto the card as well. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Scrappy Hello

Good morning everyone! I hope you are having a fabulous start to the weekend! We will be leaving for Denver shortly so I need to be quick about this one. Hope the weather holds out for us!

Today's card was one I did for my stamp club this month. I got the idea for this card from the recent PaperCrafts magazine. The card in the magazine used various cuts of ribbon on the side and just a sentiment on the main panel. I changed it up a bit. My card base is Soft Suede to which I added various scraps of Pocketful of Posies that were flagged on one end. Then I adhered a piece of Night of Navy. For my focal panel I stamped the floral image from My Friend in Soft Suede onto Crumb Cake. The sentiment is stamped in Night of Navy. This panel is popped up onto the Night of Navy. Then I added a flower that was punched from Poppy Parade with the itty bitty punch pack and a rhinestone. A super easy card!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

SFF 041312

Good Friday morning everyone! Time for another great sketch challenge from the Sketch Frenzy Friday team! This week's sketch is provided by Angela Walters. Take a look!

Lots of possibilities with this one! I had a hard time trying to figure out what I wanted to do. But here is what I finally came up with.

I wanted to try something with the white gel pen on Crumb Cake card stock. So I got out the Bordering on Romance set and gave it a go! I stamped the image in VersaMark onto Crumb Cake and embossed it in black. Then I used my white gel pen and Cherry Cobbler and Pear Pizzazz markers to color it in. I stamped the sentiment from Friendly Phrases in black StazOn toward the bottom of the panel and sponged the edges with Crumb Cake. I added a piece of Basic Black narrow taffeta ribbon. My card base is Crumb Cake. I added three panels of Crumb Cake that have the edges sponged, too. The focal panel is popped up onto the card. Finally, I added rhinestones to the flower centers.

Click 'here' to visit Jennifer's blog to see what she did with this sketch. Be sure to visit each of the designer's blogs to get inspired. I hope you will be able to find some time to play along and enter your creation at Sketch Frenzy Friday. We always love to see what you do! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

CCMC 197

Good morning everyone! I'm here with the newest challenge from the super talented ladies at Create with Connie and Mary! I hope you will play along with us this week! This week we are being challenged with color. Take a look at these fabulous colors!

Concord Crush is a color that I haven't used much and we only have until May 31st to use it! That's right! The first set of In Colors (Poppy Parade, Concord Crush, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, and Peach Parfait) will be retiring at the end of May! So I was glad to be able to use some Concord Crush. Here is what I came up with.

I found an older sketch to use with the challenge colors. I started with a card base of Confetti White and added a strip of Marina Mist that went through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. Then I took a square piece of Certainly Celery and rounded the four corners before cutting it in half. I popped this up onto the card base. Then I stamped the image from Lean on Me in black StazOn onto a 2 1/2" circle punched from Confetti White and colored it in using a blender pen and Marina Mist, Certainly Celery and Concord Crush inks. I adhered this to a scallop circle that was die cut using the Perfect Pennants die and Concord Crush card stock. I added three mini brads and popped it up onto the card.

I do hope you will check out all the other design team member's creations! You can find them at the Create with Connie and Mary website. Don't forget to upload your creations to the website so that we can all take a look! We love to see what you come up with! And don't forget to use your Stampin' Up! supplies! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Retro 6

Good morning everyone! I hope your week is going great! It seems to be going really fast around here! I can't believe that we are in the middle of another week and almost half way through this month! Today is supposed to be windy. Oh joy! My sinuses are already throwing a party!! But I do hope this next front brings lots of rain because we so desperately need it!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Retro Sketches. I also did this one at this month's stamp club. I LOVE this cupcake set and coordinating punch! And the colors in the Just Add Cake designer paper are so fun together! I took a piece of Just Add Cake designer paper and adhered it to a piece of Poppy Parade. This panel is popped up onto a card base of Whisper White. Then I cut a piece of Poppy Parade using the Perfect Pennants die. I punched a circle of Whisper White with the 1 3/4" circle punch. These two are adhered together and popped up onto the card. Then I stamped the cupcake bottom from Create a Cupcake in Wild Wasabi and the top in Blushing Bride. These are punched out with the cupcake builder punch. I popped these up onto the circle. Then I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of Whisper White and tucked it behind the cupcake. My finishing touch was to add a flower that was punched from So Saffron with the itty bitty shapes punch pack and add a rhinestone. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning everyone! I hope you are having a great start to the week! I had a great workshop last night with some fabulous ladies! We laughed a lot and created some fun cards! It looks like I need to get some laundry done today.

Today's card was inspired by a sketch from iSpy Sketches. I loved the circle elements and thought it would be perfect to show off the new Summer Smooches line. This is a special that Stampin' Up! is running for this month and most of the new products will be in the new catalog!! I took a piece of Whisper White that was cut down and adhered a piece of the Summer Smooches designer paper to the top part. To the bottom I stamped the greeting from Curvy Verses in Rich Razzleberry. I added a strip of Daffodil Delight card stock and then popped the entire panel up onto a card base of Whisper White. Then I stamped the leaves and flowers from Bright Blossoms onto a scrap piece of Whisper White in Lucky Limeade and Rich Razzleberry and punched them out with the 1 1/4" circle punch. These are adhered to circle that were punched from Rich Razzleberry with the 1 3/8" circle punch. I popped these up onto the card and added a little rhinestone to each. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend! We sure did and the weather was just perfect for about anything you might want to do! We attended a wonderful church service where one of our nieces was baptized and then had an awesome dinner with family! It was great to chat and catch up on the happenings around us! Then we came home and relaxed. Now it's Monday and time to get back to it!

Today's card was inspired by a sketch at My Favorite Things. This was an older one but still fun to use!! I started with a card base of Whisper White and added a piece of Summer Smooches designer paper and then a strip of Rich Razzleberry card stock. I used the Bright Blossoms stamp set for this card. I cut three panels of Whisper White and stamped the stem in Lucky Limeade. I stamped the vases in Tangerine Tango on scrap card stock and cut them out and adhered them onto the panels. I stamped the flower bunch in Rich Razzleberry onto scrap pieces and cut them out, too. These are popped up onto the three panels and the three panels are popped up onto the card. I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Rich Razzleberry, flagged the ends and then adhered it to the card. My finishing touch was to added a rhinestone to each panel. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good Friday morning everyone! Time for another great challenge at Sketch Frenzy Friday! This week's sketch is provided by Tina Munzke. Take a look at this fun sketch!

Lots of fun elements on this one! I had a lot of ideas for this but this is what I finally came up with!

I kept my card very simple, just like the sketch. I stamped the leaves from Summer Solstice on a strip of Whisper White in Lucky Limeade. Then I stamped the leaves again on scrap paper and cut them out. I cut a strip of Lucky Limeade card stock with the Tasteful Trim die and adhered it to the stamped strip. Then I tied a piece of Lucky Limeade ruffled ribbon around this and glued it to a card base of Whisper White. The cut out leaves are popped up over the stamped leaves. Then I stamped the sentiment from Sincere Salutations in Lucky Limeade in the bottom left hand corner of the card.

I hope you will find some time to play along with us this week! Be sure to upload your creation to the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog so that we can take a look, too! CCMC 196

Good morning everyone! I'm here with the latest challenge from the ladies at Create with Connie and Mary! This week we are being challenged with a sketch. Take a look at this fun sketch!

Lots of fun elements on this sketch! I had fun trying to figure out what to do. Take a look at my creation!

I knew that I wanted to use the new Summer Smooches promotional products. I took a card base of Tangerine Tango and added a piece of the Summer Smooches designer paper and then a strip of Lucky Limeade that was run through the Big Shot with the Tasteful Trim die. Then I stamped the image from Bright Blossoms with Tangerine Tango, Lucky Limeade and Daffodil Delight markers onto a 1 3/4" Whisper White circle. The upper blossom was stamped in Tangerine Tango, cut out and then popped up. This circle is adhered to a Tangerine Tango circle that was die cut with the circles #2 die. I used the doily sizzlet die to cut the doily out of Whisper White. I then clipped away part of the doily to make a smaller doily. I popped the circles up onto the doily and then popped the doily up onto the card. I stamped the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes onto a strip of Whisper White and flagged one end. This is adhered to the circle element. I tied a piece of Lucky Limeade ruffled ribbon to a paper clip and then the clip is fixed to the circle element. I added three rhinestones and called it good - lol!

Make sure to visit the Create with Connie and Mary website to see what the other fabulous designers did with this fun sketch! SSC 249

Good morning, Friends! I can't believe that the week is going by this quickly! I hope yours is going great! Nothing special going on around here at the moment so I will expect to get some crafting done today (even though I should probably clean my house - lol).

Today's card was inspired by a sketch at Stamping 411. I loved the simple design and that the squares could be any shape you wanted. I left them square but I had some other ideas, too. May have to try those some time. I do apologize for my photo. I thought when I had edited it, I had lightened it up but I guess I didn't. The two colors I used were Whisper White and Concord Crush. I punched squared of Concord Crush using the 1 3/8" square punch and then using the postage stamp punch I punched squares from Whisper White. I layered these together and adhered them to my card base of Whisper White. Then I stamped three butterflies from Flight of the Butterfly stamp set in Concord Crush and punched them out with the 3/4" circle punch. I added a mini brad to each one and then popped them up onto the squares. Then I stamped the sentiment in Concord Crush onto a strip of Whisper White and flagged one end. This is attached to the final square. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Retro 5

Good morning everyone! I hope your week is off to a great start! My morning seems to have started with a headache. Ugh! I hate it when that happens! My sinuses are really bad right now. With the wind and all the dust and pollen in the air, I don't stand a chance! And poor Nick with his allergies! So far he seems to be holding his own. I hope that keeps up!

Today's card was inspired by a sketch at Retro Sketches. I thought this sketch was really fun! And one that could be used in so many ways!! I will definitely be trying this one again! I started with a card base of Crumb Cake and then added my circle elements in Basic Black and Lucky Limeade. I used the 1 1/4", 1" and 3/4" circle punches. Then I took another piece of Crumb Cake and rounded all four corners with the corner rounder. I stamped the splatter from Extreme Elements in Crumb Cake and sponged the edges in Crumb Cake, too. I stamped the ATV from Need for Speed in black StazOn and then stamped it again on a scrap piece of Crumb Cake. I added some highlights with the Lucky Limeade marker and cut it out. This one is popped up right over the other one and the panel is popped up onto the card. Then I took a strip of Lucky Limeade designer paper and stamped the greeting from Happiest Birthday Wishes in black StazOn. I glued this to a piece of Basic Black card stock and added three brads then popped it up onto the card. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Upscale RS 2

Good Monday morning everyone! Time to get back to the regularly scheduled week of school, work, and practices (and a few appointments in between). We had a very fun weekend! I need to get some laundry done, grocery shopping and some stamping done, too. It's going to be hard to focus as a new wool appliqué project just came in the mail!! And then tonight is the NCAA championship game!!! Go Jayhawks!!

Today's card is one that I did for a recent swap I participated in. I used an older sketch from Retro Sketches. A very simple layout and a simple card! I got the colors from the color coach and used the Lean on Me stamp set. I stamped the image in black StazOn onto Confetti White card stock and colored it in with ink pads and a blender pen. I used Lucky Limeade, Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo and a little Blush Blossom. I added three mini brads to complete this panel. This is popped up onto a panel that consists of a layer of Island Indigo, Confetti White and a strip of Island Indigo designer paper that was flagged at one end. And this all was popped up onto the card base of Confetti White. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

SSSC 155

Good morning everyone! I hope you are having a great weekend! Don't be fooled today -lol! Nick's team has another soccer game and I hope they fool the other team by winning!!! Their team lost yesterday 1-0. It was such a bummer as they played so exceptional! The other team's goal was a result of a penalty kick. Everyone was so proud of them! I am not one who really gets into April Fool's Day. So I hope it's just another beautiful fun day!

Today's card was inspired from Karen Giron's sketch challenge. I got the colors from the Color Coach - thought they were great masculine colors! I started with a card base of Sahara Sand and added a piece of Sahara Sand designer paper from the neutrals pack. Then I took a smaller piece of Sahara Sand and stamped the splatter from Extreme Elements in Sahara Sand and sponged the edges. Then I stamped the car from Need for Speed in black StazOn. This is adhered to a piece of Not Quite Navy. I added three strips of poppy parade which had their ends flagged and a brad in the corner. This panel is popped up onto the card. In the bottom right hand corner I stamped the sentiment from Perfectly Penned in black StazOn. Then I stamped the car onto a piece of Sahara Sand and added some color with a Not Quite Navy marker. I cut the car out and popped it up right over the other car that was stamped. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Need For Speed, Extreme Elements, Perfectly Penned; Paper- Sahara Sand, Not Quite Navy, Poppy Parade, Neutrals designer paper pack; Ink- black StazOn, Not Quite Navy, Sahara Sand; Accessories- metallic brads, sponge, dimensionals
