CCMC 314

Good morning, Friends! The ladies at Create with Connie and Mary have a fabulous new challenge for you this week! And it's a color challenge! Take a look!

Tangelo Twist, Bermuda Bay and Basic Grey. Beautiful bright colors! Here's how I used them...

The Tangelo Twist reminds me of the beautiful sunsets we get here in Colorado so I went with my favorite stamp set right now, Kinda Eclectic.

  • Card base is Tangelo Twist
  • Run a piece of Basic Grey through the Big Shot using the Chevron embossing folder and adhere to card base
  • Stamp the sun image from Kinda Eclectic onto a piece of Whisper White and cut out with the Circles framelits then adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Stamp the sentiment onto a piece of Whisper White using Basic Grey and Tangelo Twist markers then flag one end and use the Project Life corner rounder to round the bottom right hand corner
  • Use the dotted ribbon scallop punch to punch a strip from Bermuda Bay and adhere to the back of the flagged piece then adhere panel to card
  • Stamp the butterfly image onto Whisper White using Bermuda Bay ink and punch out with the Elegant Butterfly punch and adhere to card
  • Punch a butterfly from vellum using the bitty butterfly punch and adhere to stamped butterfly
  • Add a Bermuda Bay candy dot to butterfly
Find more inspiration at the Create with Connie and Mary site! I hope you play along with us this week! We love to see your beautiful creations! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Hello everyone! I think I could have slept a little longer but I thought I had better get myself moving! I'm hoping the coffee kicks in and perks me up! I am also hoping that my mojo kicks in today and I can stamp more than one card! That seems to be all I can muster these days. We had an awesome rain last night! Lots of flash flooding going on in the area. We are doing fine and we definitely need the rain. So nice to have the cooler temps, too!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch and color challenge at The Challenge. I thought tees colors were very interesting together and was anxious to try it out! I also just got this set and was eager to try it out, too!

  • Stamp the Hardwood background onto a piece of Cajun Craze using Early Espresso ink then sponge edges with Cajun Craze ink and adhere to card base with dimensionals
  • Stamp the stem image from Choose Happiness onto a piece of Old Olive using Old Olive ink and sponge edges using Old Olive ink
  • Punch a strip using the dotted ribbon scallop punch and adhere to Old Olive panel then adhere to card
  • Cut a circle from Crisp Cantaloupe using the Circles framelits
  • Stamp the flower image onto the circle using Cajun Craze ink

Riding four wheelers, driving the jeep and he has been getting ride is motorcycle a bunch! I'm glad. Nice to get some fun in before the summer ends!

It is supposed to rain again today and I hope Fruita gets the majority of it this time! We need it badly! We will be heading to the ranch today to see the family. So I hope it's cooler up there. I do love sitting out on the porch with the breeze blowing a bit and just watching the beautiful scenery! Wondering if I should take something to work on...

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made. Such a simple sketch. I love it! I will be using this one more often! So many possibilities! I thought that my card turned out to be more on the masculine side.

Angled Sunflower

Good morning, Friends! It's Friday! Pat's brother and his family are in the area and we will be spending time with them this weekend as we don't get to see them but once a year. His sister will also be there so it will be good to see the family. Nick also has another doctor's appointment today. We also need to go school supply shopping one of these days. But I think I can do that next week.

Today's card was inspired by another sunflower card I saw. I didn't have the exact same supplies but I thought I could do with what I have and I so super like this one! I just love sunflowers anyway so this was right up my alley!! And the Dotty Angles stamp set really helped bring some texture to it!

  • Card base is Whisper White
  • On a piece of Crumb Cake stamp the sentiment from Really Good Greetings in Early Espresso then adhere to card base with dimensionals
  • Punch the flower part from Crushed Curry using the 2 3/8" scallop circle punch and then use paper snips to clip each petal

  • Adhere the leaves to the Crumb Cake panel using glue dots in the center of the leaves (so they will fold up a bit)

Blooming Celebrate

Good morning everyone! I was sure hoping we would have gotten some rain last night. It got really dark around here and then the storm just went to the south. Ugh! Nick has soccer camp again today and I get a haircut! Yes! Finally! I didn't have much motivation to stamp yesterday so I hope I will find some when I get back from all my errands.

Today's card started out from a sketch but then evolved into this. I really enjoy coloring with the blendabilities and this flower! So fun! And the sentiment is from a new hostess set called Really Good Greetings. This hostess set will be in the upcoming Holiday mini catalog.

  • Card base is Whisper White
  • Stamp the flower image from Blended Bloom onto a piece of Whisper White using Tuxedo Black Momento ink and color with the Blendabilities: Pumpkin Pie and Coastal Cabana

  • Adhere flower to panel with dimensionals and then adhere to a piece of Coastal Cabana using dimensionals
  • Stamp the greeting from Really Good Greetings in Tuxedo Black Momento ink
  • Tie a piece of Whisper White cotton ribbon around panel and adhere to card base

Birthday Greens

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is off to a great start! Nick is doing soccer camp this week and that means I will need to send him off in a short while. Then I have the day to get some things done. Yesterday I did manage to get the laundry done! So maybe my stamping mojo will find me today? We will see...

For today's card, I started out using a sketch but I didn't like all the sketch components so I scrapped that and this is what came about. I really wanted to put Pistachio Pudding and Garden Green together. I just love how they look together! This is really simple!

  • Card base is Garden Green
  • On a piece of Pistachio Pudding, stamp the greeting from Age Awareness in Garden Green and cut out with the Starburst framelits
  • Tie a piece of of Crisp Cantaloupe twine around the starburst cut out and adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Stamp the additional sentiment onto a strip of Whisper White using Pistachio Pudding ink and adhere to card
Easy peasy!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

CCMC Summer Edition Week 3

Good morning, Friends! Create with Connie and Mary Summer Edition has come to the end of week 3. This past week we shared card sets! And there were SO many awesome ideas! I hope you didn't miss it! Don't worry, though. You can still sign up and get ALL the ideas that have been shared along with the downloadable tutorials!

At the end of each week we have a special challenge for the public side and this week we have a sketch. Take a look!

I'll be honest. This sketch had me stumped a bit. I wanted to use the stamp set that I used this past week for the theme: Card "Create"tions - All Occasions. For my card set I used the Honeycomb Hello stamp set. I had a lot of fun using it but the only way to see my cards is to be a subscriber! Here is what I came up with for the sketch challenge...

  • Card base is Hello Honey
  • Adhere a piece of Moonlight designer paper onto the card base
  • Layer a piece of Whisper White onto the card
  • Use the Hexagon Hive thinlit to cut the hexagon shapes from Basic Grey card stock
  • Use Basic Grey ink to stamp the dots image from Honeycomb Hello onto the shapes
  • Adhere the hexagons onto the card
  • Adhere a strip of Lost Lagoon to card
  • Use the hexagon punch to punch the shape from Hello Honey
  • Stamp the greeting onto the punched shape using Basic Grey ink then adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Punch a flower from Lost Lagoon using the itty bitty accents punch pack and adhere to card
  • Add a rhinestone to flower center
Be sure to see what the rest of the design team did with this sketch by visiting the Create with Connie and Mary site! And don't forget to sign up for the Summer Edition! I hope to see you there! Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

Blooming Goodness

Good morning, Friends! Are you looking forward to a great weekend? I know I am! I hope that I will be able to sleep in a little bit this weekend. I am also looking forward to seeing my friend, Sherry! She will be here this evening and then tomorrow we are going to a quilt show and then see a new quilt store! I haven't done any quilting in so long I'm not sure if I even remember how - lol! I am also going to do some stitching tonight with Becky. I'm hoping my arm will be able to cooperate! But in the meantime, I do need to get some stamping done! Maybe I will multi task and try to get some laundry done, too.

Today's card was the only one that I was able to accomplish yesterday. It felt good to color again!

  • Card base is Whisper White
  • Adhere a piece of Moonlight designer paper to card base that has the top left hand corner rounded with the Project Life corner rounder

    Armadillo Friend

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is going super! Mine seems to be going but I have nothing to show for it - lol! I need to get myself into gear! I hurt my arm pretty badly while I was gone and it has made it hard to do some things. And I am slow at others. It's not healing as fast as I would like it to so I don't seem to have the motivation to do anything. But as this is my last card in the "pile" for my blog, I had better at least give it a try! I do hope it won't bother me to badly while I am stamping. I guess I had better let the doctor check it out to make sure it will heal up. Ugh!

Today's card is one of my favorites! I just love these little critters from the Little Buddy Birthday set!

    • Card base is Rich Razzleberry
    • On the left hand side of the card base, stamp the dots from Dotty Angles using Rich Razzleberry ink
    • Adhere a piece of Soft Sky to the card base
    • Make a tag from Whisper White card stock and scallop the bottom of it with the scallop edge border punch
    • Stamp the greeting from Little Buddy Birthday onto the tag with Tuxedo Black Momento ink
    • Tie a piece of Mossy Meadow stitched satin ribbon through the tag
    • Stamp the armadillo onto a piece of Whisper White using Tuxedo Black Momento ink and color him in with Old Olive blendabilities and Blushing Bride (for his nose) then cut out
    • Before adhering the pieces onto the card, stamp the balloon onto the Soft Sky panel using Soft Sky ink
    • Adhere the armadillo to the tag and then adhere elements to card with dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

    Life in the Moonlight

Good morning, Friends! Well, I am finally home! Nick and I landed at DIA on Wednesday. Pat met us there to take us to Kansas for the 4th and we drove home on Sunday. Nick got his braces off yesterday and I have been just sitting on the couch trying to figure out where I am - lol! Thankfully my head cold was just a short time but now I have a cough that is extremely irritating!!! Would love to get rid of that!! I need to take Nick to the doctor today and start on that massive pile of laundry! And I guess I should try to see if I can still stamp a card! It's been quite a while since I have had to - lol!

Today's card was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest. I loved the simplicity and that was exactly what I needed!

    • Card base is Whisper White
    • Completely cover the front of the card base with a piece of Moonlight designer paper
    • Adhere a strip of Basic Grey to the card
    • Flag the end of a strip of Hello Honey and adhere to card with dimensionals
    • Stamp the sentiment from Perfect Pennants onto a piece of Whisper White using Basic Grey ink and punch out with the 1 3/4" circle punch then adhere to card with dimensionals
    • Punch a flower from Lost Lagoon using the itty bitty accents punch pack and adhere to card
    • Add a rhinestone to flower center
Super simple! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!
