CCMC Saturday Blog Hop: Non Traditional Christmas Colors

Hello everyone! Welcome to another Saturday blog hop with the Create with Connie and Mary designers! This week we are featuring Christmas cards using non-traditional Christmas colors. I am your stop after the fabulous Debbie Henderson

I decided to go pretty neutral with my card this week.

  • Card base is Sahara Sand
  • Run another piece of Sahara Sand through the Big Shot using the Woodland embossing folder and then adhere to card base
  • Punch a circle from Whisper White using the 2 1/2" circle punch
  • Stamp the branch image from the Among the Branches stamp set onto the circle using Sahara Sand ink
  • Adhere the circle to the card with dimensionals
  • Stamp the ornament images onto a piece of Whisper White using Mint Macaron ink and cut out then adhere to branch (I used glue dots)
  • Cut the sentiment out of Basic Black card stock using the Christmas Greetings thinlits and adhere to circle (I used the fine tip glue pen)
  • Add rhinestones to ornaments
Time to send you on to see what the fabulous Connie Babbert has created! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a super day!

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop: Red and White Christmas

Hello everyone! It's time for another fun blog hop with the Create with Connie and Mary designers! This week we are featuring Christmas cards using red and white! I am your stop after the fabulous Debbie Henderson!

So I pulled up an old idea that I had done awhile back of a punch art Santa hat and tweaked it.

  • Card base is Whisper White
  • On another piece of Whisper White card stock, stamp the greeting from the Merry Everything stamp set using Cherry Cobbler ink then adhere to card base
  • Use the extra large oval punch to punch an oval from Cherry Cobbler card stock
  • Use the Word Window punch to punch the "crook" of the hat (just insert the oval into the punch a bit)
  • Use the scallop oval punch to punch the shape from Whisper White card stock then insert the scallop oval into the extra large oval punch to create the curve shape and adhere to the Cherry Cobbler hat piece
  • Punch a circle from Dazzling Diamonds glitter paper using the 1/2" circle punch and adhere to end of hat
  • Adhere hat to card with dimensionals
  • Add several rhinestones to card
Super easy and fun! Time to send you on to see what the fabulous Connie Babbert has created! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop: Small Thanksgiving Favor

Hello everyone! Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop! This week the designers are showing you all some fun and easy Thanksgiving Favors! I am your stop right after the fabulous Debbie Henderson!

Thanksgiving seems to be one of those holidays that gets overlooked as we finish up Halloween and bull right through to Christmas. I really enjoy Thanksgiving as I get to spend some very relaxing time with my family! And my mom cooks the most awesome meal. Ever! So when I went looking for some ideas to make some small favors, I had a hard time finding any with a Thanksgiving theme. Then I happened upon these super cute little pumpkins! I thought they would be a perfect addition to the place setting on the table! And they are SO super easy to make!

  • Punch 12 circles from the Happy Haunting designer paper using the 2" circle punch
  • Cut a little bit of the bottom off so that the pumpkin will sit flat (I cut about 1/4" off)
  • Fold each circle in half
  • Put adhesive on on half of the circle and adhere to the half of another circle then put adhesive on the exposed half and adhere to the half of another circle. Continue in this manner until all 12 circle halves are adhere then adhere the last two halves together to complete the pumpkin
  • Cut a leaf from Old Olive card stock using he Leaflets framelits and write on it if desired
  • Fold a strip of Old Olive card stock over a toothpick then add adhesive to adhere the card stock to the toothpick (I sandwiched my leaf between the two pieces) and insert into the center of the pumpkin
  • Tie a piece of Very Vanilla thick baker's twine around the stem
  • (Note: You can add a small amount of glue to the toothpick before inserting into the middle of the pumpkin)
It's time to send you on to see what the fabulous Connie Babbert has created! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop: Keep It Simple Fall Card

Hello everyone! Welcome to another Saturday blog hop with the Create with Connie and Mary designers! This week we are featuring more great Fall projects but keeping it simple. I am your stop after the fabulous Debbie Henderson

When I first saw the assignment for this week's hop I was instantly excited! I love simplicity and I love projects that are very simple and yet make a statement! But then I stressed myself out because I thought I would be making it too simple. So I calmed myself down and remembered that "simple" is what I do best and I didn't need to stress out. And then this happened...

  • Card base is Crumb Cake
  • Use the splotchy image from Perpetual Calendar stamp set and stamp onto the card base with Crumb Cake ink
  • Cut the leaf image from Crumb Cake card stock using the Leaflets framelits and sponge the edges with Crumb Cake ink
  • Stamp the sentiment from For All Things stamp set onto the leaf using Early Espresso ink
  • Adhere leaf to card with dimensionals
  • Thread a piece of linen thread through a gold basic metal button and tie a bow then adhere to card
Before I send you on, I want to give you a sneak peek of what's to come in the October Create with Connie and Mary mini edition! Lots of very fun projects for the fall and Christmas season! Check it out!

I hope you will plan to join us for this month's edition! Time to send you on to see what the fabulous Connie Babbert has created! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a super day!
