A Haunting Kitty

Good morning, Friends! It's only Thursday. Ugh! But if I make it through then it will be Friday! Yay!! Lol! No bike races this weekend so I will be able to get a lot of stuff done! And I need to!

Today's card was inspired by the super simple sketch at Freshly Made!

  • Card base is Crumb Cake
  • Adhere a piece of Happy Haunting designer paper to card base
  • On a piece of Very Vanilla, stamp the greeting from Haunt Ya Later stamp set using Basic Black archival ink
  • Adhere panel to a piece of Basic Black card stock
  • Tie a piece of Basic Black stitched satin ribbon around panel and adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Stamp the kitty image onto a piece of Very Vanilla using Basic Black archival ink
  • Color the kitty in using an aqua painter and Smoky Slate ink
  • Use Cucumber Crush and Watermelon Wonder to add color to the ears and eyes and use a Basic Black marker for the nose
  • Cut the kitty out and adhere to card with dimensionals
Super simple!

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop: Halloween Card - Haunt Ya Later!

Hello everyone and welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop! This week we are all making a Halloween card! I am your stop after the fabulous Debbie Henderson!

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays! I am not the gory kind of Halloween person but I love the cute Halloween images! And Stampin' Up! has some super cute Halloween stamp sets! Like this one, Haunt Ya Later. I love this set!! Here is a super simple card that I created for this hop with the help of the Freshly Made sketch!

  • Card base is Whisper White
  • Cover the front of the card base with a piece of Happy Haunting designer paper
  • On a piece of watercolor paper, stamp the cat image from the Haunt Ya Later stamp set with the Basic Black archival ink
  • Use a blender pen and Smoky Slate ink to color in the cat, Cucumber Crush for the eyes and Soft Sky for the "ground"
  • Stamp the greeting onto a strip of Tangelo Twist card stock and use the Washi Label punch on the ends of the strip
  • Adhere the strip to the top of the panel and adhere panel to card base using dimensionals
  • Thread a piece of linen thread through a silver basic metal button and adhere to card
Before I send you on to see what the fabulous Connie Babbert has created, I wanted to share a little snippet of what's to come in the next Create with Connie and Mary mini edition! You won't want to miss this!
