Good morning, Friends! Whew!! It has just been a crazy few days around here for me! I thought I was doing good by being so far ahead of schedule but then my schedule caught up with me and all of the sudden I have NO time to finish anything up! UGH! Looking forward to seeing my friend and having good company on the road! Now to get this last load of laundry and more packing...

Today's card is one I put together last night. I have been wanting to put together some fall/Halloween cards before it's too late. I do love this little die cut ghost! I wasn't sure exactly how to use him but I kind of took a sketch I saw and made it work.

Recessed Festive Tree

Good morning everyone! I am really glad that today is a shorter day for me! I really need to get downtown to find shoes and pants! While the weather gets really nice in the afternoon, I know it is only a matter of time before it will stay colder all day. And right now all I have to wear are capris and sandals! My feet do get a little cold in the mornings! But I do have a dilemma today as the Kansas City Royals play this afternoon! UGH! What to do? I don't want to miss this game because if they win it will be another sweep! Wahoo! I guess I'll see where my car takes me after school - lol!

Today's card is another that we did at stamp club this month. As I look at this picture the colors seem "off" to me. Hmmm... That's annoying because this is a really pretty card in person.

  • Card base is Pear Pizzazz
  • Adhere a piece of All is Calm designer paper to a piece of Whisper White and use the Tree punch to punch a tree from the panel
  • Stamp the tree from Festival of Trees onto a piece of Pear Pizzazz using Garden Green ink and adhere to the back side of the cut out with dimensionals

Hello everyone! I can't believe that my fall break is over! Monday it's back to work. It was too bad that I was sick for the first part of my break. Doesn't seem fair. I didn't accomplish near what I wanted. I tried to go shopping yesterday as I need some fall clothes and shoes - mainly pants and shoes. I ended up getting shirts and no pants or shoes. Ugh! I hope it stays warm for a little longer until I am able to go shopping! I just don't know what the styles are so I need to do a little research and then come up with a plan. Today's plan is stamping! Yikes! I have club coming up on Monday and I need to get that all ready! No free time for me until that is accomplished!!

Today is the last day of Preview Week at Create with Connie and Mary! Tomorrow the winners of the blog candy will be announced and tomorrow is also the first day of the Holiday Edition! Preview Week Day 6: Crumb Tree

Hello everyone! I was up early this morning to get Nick to the bus where he is going to the east slope to play two high school soccer games! A little too early for me but I don't think I will be going back to bed or taking a nap today. I'm hoping to get a lot out of my last day of Fall Break. Back to work on Monday! I am feeling much better but still get those annoying coughing fits. I hate those!! Nick will be back tomorrow afternoon so we will enjoy our quiet home this weekend - lol!

It's day 6 of Preview Week at Create with Connie and Mary! Two more designers have been announced and are sharing their creations along with blog candy! So make sure you visit their blogs to find out how to enter to win! Since the Holiday Edition is getting ready to launch, I decided to make another Christmas card. The Festival of Trees stamp set is just so easy to use! Love the photopolymer and the matching punch! I didn't use the punch this time.

  • Card base is Crumb Cake
  • Adhere a piece of Trim the Tree designer paper to a piece of Garden Green card stock and then adhere to card base with dimensionals
  • Ink up the tree from Festival of Trees using Garden Green ink and then use an old blender pen to lift the ink off the stem of the tree and color the stem with an Early Espresso marker then stamp onto a strip of Whisper White
  • Flag the bottom of the Whisper White strip
  • Stamp the pot image onto Whisper White using Early Espresso and cut out then adhere to bottom of stamped tree
  • Stamp the greeting onto the strip using Cherry Cobbler ink then adhere banner to card with dimensionals
  • Add a rhinestone to top of tree
  • Tie a piece of linen thread through a basic metal button and adhere to card

Preview Week Day 4: Wondrous Wreath and Blog Candy!

Good morning everyone! It's Preview Week at Create with Connie and Mary and I'm SO excited to share my Preview Week project with you all! And I am also offering blog candy! More on that later in my post...

For my preview project I am featuring 4 cards and a gift bag to hold them in. I decided to put my cards and envelopes in this bag so that I could give them to a friend who loves to give handmade Christmas cards but doesn't have the time to make them. The bag is super simple as it uses the new Polka Dot Tag a Bag Gift Bags! And it is held closed by using the cute little clothespin from the Trim the Tree Tag a Bag accessory kit found in the Holiday mini catalog! All my cards use the same colors and designer paper pack so that your supplies are limited. And the cards are easy to create because Stampin' Up! has made these stamps as photopolymer sets which are super easy to line up and create gorgeous images! I created all Christmas cards here but by changing the colors you can create wreaths for any season! Don't forget that this set comes as a bundle and you can get the matching framelits to make cutting them out a breeze! The framelits also come with two die cut words to help make your projects even more elegant! Love this set! Can you tell - lol! Preview Week Day 3: Christmas Wish

Hello everyone! Well, I think that I am finally starting to feel much better! My voice still has not come back fully but I don't feel like I need to cough as much either. I still get really tired but I am trying to accomplish a lot during my week off! So I do hope that I am on the mend quickly!! Nick has a soccer game today and I am so glad that I can get to the game on time! Usually I have to wait till after school and then I show up at half time. Which has been fine but I'm looking forward to seeing the whole game! And the weather looks to be great, too!

It is Day 3 of Preview week at Create with Connie and Mary! Today I am showing another card that uses the Festival of Trees stamp set along with the coordinating Tree punch. I have also used the All is Calm designer paper and washi tape. With products like these you can't go wrong making beautiful holiday cards and projects! So don't delay! Sign up for the Holiday Edition now!

  • Card base is Whisper White
  • Adhere two pieces of All is Calm washi tape to a piece of Whisper White card stock

Preview Week Day 2: Festival of Trees

Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! Mine would have been better if I hadn't been feeling so icky. Pat took Nick to Colorado Springs to do a bike race and they were gone for Saturday and Sunday. I did manage to get some stamping done but not as much as I would have liked. I was able to watch the Broncos win - woohoo!! AND I was able to watch the Royals win!!! That is so exciting!! So that made for a great weekend! I seem to have more of my voice back this morning. We are up early as I have to take Nick to the dentist and the orthodontist. Got to get this all in during our Fall Break! Tomorrow we sleep in!

As you may know, it is Preview Week at Create with Connie and Mary! Today Mary has a beautiful project to share with you including a FREE tutorial! So be sure to check out the Create with Connie and Mary site to learn how to win blog candy!! My card today shows a very wonderful set from the Holiday mini! I just love this set with matching punch! Preview Week Day 1: White Christmas

Good morning, Friends! I'm still here and I hope that I am on the mend. Thankfully we are on fall break right now so that I can take time to get well. I still have yet to find my voice. And the coughing is a real pain! Depending on what I am like tomorrow, I may have to visit the doctor. Ugh! The temperatures have dropped a bit and reminded me that I really don't have any appropriate teaching clothes for this time of year so I will need to take some time to go shopping. Not one of my favorite things but it needs to get done! Lots to do this week! Hope I can keep up!

This week is Preview Week at Create with Connie and Mary! They are gearing up for the Holiday Edition! If you need some great ideas for Christmas or winter, then you need to sign up for this edition! CCMC 323

Hello everyone! Sorry I've been so quiet here lately. It's not from lack of trying or of anything fun to use. My job has been taking a bit of getting used to and now I seem to have gotten a nasty head cold. Between my son's soccer games and bike races I have not been creating as much as I would like. And the things that I have been working on are for a special edition coming soon!! Still need to finish up some details but I am really excited about the upcoming Create with Connie and Mary Holiday Collection 2014! Preview Week starts Sunday! But for now we have our regularly scheduled Thursday challenge! This week it's a sketch!

Such a fun and interesting sketch! I was trying to keep with the fall theme, so here's what I created...

  • Card base is Cajun Craze
  • Adhere a piece of Color Me Autumn designer paper to the card base at an angle
  • Flag the end of a strip of Color Me Autumn designer paper and adhere to card
  • Flag the end of a strip of Early Espresso card stock and adhere to card
  • Cut a circle from Whisper White using the Circles framelits
  • Make a "mask" of the rolling hill from a post-it note and adhere it to the circle then stamp the tree image from Holiday Home on the far left using Early Espresso ink
  • Before removing the "mask", take a Basic Black marker and draw the hill using the post-it note as your guide then remove the "mask"
  • Stamp the second tree using Early Espresso ink
  • Color the hill using Old Olive blendabilities
  • Stamp the leaves image several times using Crushed Curry ink and then again using Cajun Craze ink
  • Stamp the greeting using Old Olive ink
  • Adhere circle to card with dimensionals and add three Early Espresso candy dots to circle
Be sure to see what the rest of the design team has done with this fabulous sketch by visiting the Create with Connie and Mary site! And be sure to check out the Early Bird pricing on the upcoming Create with Connie and Mary Holiday Collection 2014! I hope to see you there! Thanks for stopping by!
