(Heart) Friend

Happy Saturday everyone! Sorry it has been a while since my last post. I had cards ready and everything! I guess I was just too lazy to get to my computer and type away. But now it's Saturday and we just got back from a wild game of basketball. It's so fun to watch kids try to figure it all out. I know it will come together for them.

Today's card is from a layout that I took off of Becky. So easy and versatile! Valentine's Day will be here in just two short weeks! Hard to believe! And now January is over as well! Wow! Spring is coming! The snow is finally melting around here. Also, Stampin' Up! is having their annual Sale-A-Bration. It will start tomorrow and run through March (I think). I know, I'm bad. But my priorities are elsewhere at the moment. I will try to show a few SAB cards in the near future. I have made some up ready to show. I hope I have more energy. I also got my box of new goodies that I am hoping to have time to play with soon. I would say tomorrow but it is the Superbowl!! We are having a small get together here at our house. So, no playing with stamps tomorrow. Oh well. I hope you all have a great weekend! And thanks for stopping by!

Bird Thanks

Good Sunday morning to you all! When I woke up it was extremely foggy but the sun is breaking through and it looks to be a halfway decent kind of day! Yea!! We really need things to dry out here. Yesterday on our way to our son's soccer game, we almost got stuck in our own driveway! My husband had to give us a little push! Yikes! I am ready for the snow to completely melt. This rain thing just makes things so messy and yucky! I suppose that spring will come when it's ready.

Today's card is a layout that I copied from Becky. She used it in her last card class. Very simple and versatile. That's why you will see it used more often! I have used this Best Wishes & More set to death! Well, that is I have used all the stamps but this bird. I just don't like birds. We have so many of them around our house and they poop everywhere and eat the dog food and are just plain annoying! I even had one attack me when I was getting my mail! Yea, I don't like birds. But here he is on a thank you card. Ha!! Anyway, I hope that the layout inspires you. Love the colors in the Urban Garden! And the Kiwi Kiss satin ribbon is so yummy!! Thanks for stopping by and have a restful day!

Daisy Friendship

Good morning all! I can't say it's a lovely day outside because it really isn't. It rained last night and now it's foggy. The rain is melting the snow and making a HUGE mess around here! Yuck! It is supposed to do this for a while. Just let you all know... the dinner I had last night was absolutely AWESOME!! Thanks, Becky! I do wish I could eat so much more because it is so incredibly good! Then there was chocolate cake! I had to bring some of that home to Pat and he dove into that right away! Becky also made her world famous Graham Cracker ice cream YUM!! I had to bring some of that home for Nick. That's his favorite! We had to have a little snack before bed. He he!! Anyone else hungry?

Today's card was inspired from somewhere and I can't remember and it's not coming to me. It might be the catalog... Hmmm... Oh well. If you find it, you all can let me know!! Pretty simple card! I am sorry that the picture is so weird. I had to use my other camera and it flashed on me so this is what came up. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Wishing You...

Good evening! I am doing a very quickie post as I am going to my friend Becky's house to play!! I came home, too, to see if my new goodies had arrived. No sign of them yet but the UPS man might be running late. Who knows. Anyway, Becky is making me her world famous Chicken and Noodles and Chocolate Cake!!!!! I am THE luckiest person tonight!! Ooooo! I can't wait!! And hopefully my goodies will come in the next few minutes so that I can take them with me!

Today's card layout came from somewhere I am sure. Can't rightly remember right now. I think from a magazine? Oh! I remember! It is from the new catalog. Well, it was inspired from the new catalog. The card in the catalog was a Christmas card. I just love this stamp from Happy Heart! Very simple card! Give it a try! Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!!

Pun Fun

Hello everyone! Friday is almost here!!! I finally was able to get some time to post during my lunch break. I still need to download the pictures from my other cards so that I can post from my computer at school. I am so excited! I just found out that my NEW stamps have shipped. I am expecting them tomorrow!!! That's one great thing about living where I do. Once my orders are shipped, it only takes one day to get to me!! Can't wait to play and show some new stuff!

Today's card is one I did while playing with my friend, Emily. She has this Pun Fun set. I have always wanted it but never bought it. And then it was supposed to be retired but ended up in the new catalog so I decided to play with hers. I don't know if you can tell from the photo but I stamped the bird on the Whisper White then on Baja breeze designer paper (twice- once for his belly and once for the body). And then one more time on Whisper White for the beak. Yeah, this is not for the faint of heart!! I wouldn't make very many of these but it was fun to try it once. I guess that's why there is not much of anything else on this card ha ha!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

New Catalog Card

Hello everyone! I hope that you all haven't given up on me. Things have been a little crazy around here. Tis the season of taxes! Thank God for my friend Kim who helps us out with the business taxes. I don't really know what we would do without her!! Thank you, Kim!!! You're the best!! On top of that, we are remodeling our bedroom. Yes, this is very exciting but we had to move everything out of our bedroom plus the bedroom that we are adding on to ours (we knocked out a wall between the two rooms). We added a french door and a window. Then knocked out a closet and built out the other closet for a more "walk-in" type closet. LOVE it!!!! Well, I will love it when it is all finished!! Can't wait!!! But until then we have our clothes in many other rooms of the house and we have to sleep on the sleeper sofa. Yeah, that's interesting!! Knowing the end result is worth it!! I will try to get some pictures. I know my mom will be curious!!!

Enough of the excuses. On to the card! This is a card layout I found in the NEW Spring/Summer Stampin' Up! catalog. I wonder if you all can guess which one it is? And, I tried a new color combination. It is actually the colors from the Bella Birds designer paper collection. I have ordered some new things and I can't wait to get them! Probably next week. So be sure and stay tuned! Thanks for stopping by! I do love and cherish your comments! Thanks again!!

Simply Breezy

Good Sunday morning! I thought the sun would be shining a little more than it actually is. It's not snowing. Could be the inversion. Yuck! I don't like the inversion. I was really hoping that the sun would shine and finally melt our driveway and the road. It has been snow packed and an ice sheet since the last snow at Christmas! But the snow is good for the mountains and it sounds like the skiing has been awesome!

Today's card came from inspiration from the catalog. A very super simple card!! I now realize that the stamped sentiment is hard to see but there is one there beside the flower. It says, "A note of thanks." Anyway, I got to use my new Felt Fusion II flowers! Love them!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Happy Birthday Mom!!

I know. This is not a birthday card. But I thought it might be appropriate anyway. As in, "Thanks for being such a great mom!" Since I know she will be reading my blog I thought I had better wish her a very happy birthday!

I had made this card while visiting her over Christmas. I found a card in the catalog and thought that I could copy it! Of course I had to use different stamps and colors but the layout is pretty much the same. I really liked how this one turned out! I used the Sweet Stems set again. Boy I can't wait to see what is in the new catalog!! I am getting more excited for it now!! I really need to start looking and getting my list together!! Ha!!

I had some play time with Becky, Emily and Sherry last night. Emily brought her Sale-A-Bration stamps and paper and let me play with those! Thanks, Emily!! I did come up with a few that I will be showing this next week. Sale-A-Bration starts February. For every $50 in merchandise, you purchase you can pick one Sale-A-Bration set for FREE! And that's the only way to get these stamps (and the special designer paper and the ribbon bundle).

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!!

Birthday Stems

Good afternoon! It must be cold outside. A few of the students are coming back in to get coats (of which they should have been wearing in the first place) or complaining that they can't feel their ears. Glad I don't have to go out! The sun keeps peeking in and out. The snow is starting to melt but it sure is taking a while!! I really don't mind it right now. After all, it is winter! But if it is still around come March, you might hear me whining a bit more!

Today's card is one that I made over the break. I think that I got the layout idea from the recent Stampin' Up! catalog. Although, I can't remember which one. Pretty simple. I did cut out the stem of flowers and that was a little tedious but everything else was a cinch!! A layout with many possibilities! Hope you are inspired! Thank God it's Friday!!!! Play day tonight and sleep in tomorrow!! Yea!!! Have a super weekend!

Sweet Stems

Good morning/afternoon! I was just told that I may have to go out for recess duty. Yuck! I don't like going out when it is so cold and snowy! But I will do what I am told. At least the sun is shining and it might be warmer than what I think. Anyway, I wanted to get this done before I went out.

This is a card that I made a while ago. I have used this layout before and just love how it turns out! For this card I used a stamp set that will be out in the new Spring/Summer catalog! I just love this set of four stamps! They are small and petite but they make a very elegant card! The next few will be stamps from this set so bear with me. I hope that it inspires you as well! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Heartfelt Thank You

Good morning! My, my!! There is sure a wild buzz going around about the new catalog that will be coming out! I am so excited! I can't wait to see what they are all talking about! I mean, they are describing what they see but it is different when you finally get to see it all in real life! I will keep you all posted as well! We can't order from it until the 19th anyway but that date is coming up fast!

This is a card that I did at my mom's over the Christmas holiday. I copied a layout from my friend Becky. Super easy and so many possibilities! I hope that you are inspired as well! Take care and have a great day!!

Is Love In The Air?

Well, maybe not just yet. But it will be here soon! So I will be doing a few Valentine cards to hopefully get us all in the mood!

This is a card that I did while at my mom's over Christmas break. I went through the catalog and took my inspiration from a few of my favorite layouts. It might could use a little something? I am not sure. I do like the way it turned out but I can't help but think that I could add something to it. And I am not sure about the brad in the middle of the heart. Like I said, I thought it could use something but I am not sure that the brad was it. Anyway, I felt it best to quit while I was ahead. Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Silouhettes

Good Sunday morning! I think that the sun may actually shine today! Yesterday a front came and blew our inversion out of the valley and it is clear again! Will it be warm enough to melt our snow? Don't know yet. Still got tons of it! My husband had to go out and blade our driveway because we kept getting stuck! It is still plenty cold!!

Today's card is one that I did while at my mom's house over vacation. She had copied a card from the catalog and I thought it was so cute! Now why hadn't I seen that card before? LOL!! So, I took inspiration from her and came up with this! It is very simple! The photo makes it look like I used Kraft cardstock. I actually used So Saffron but now I think that the Kraft would have been just as pretty! I also used Kiwi Kiss but I wanted to use Old Olive. So, again, lots of possibilities! I hope that you all have a wonderful week! I will see you tomorrow!

Friend To Friend

Good morning! Well, my vacation is officially over. Now it's just the weekend. Bummer. But I guess it had to end sometime. It will be good to see all my co-workers! And my students will be excited to tell all about their vacation. Anyway, playtime is over.

Today's card layout is one that I copied from Becky. She had done this layout at her Christmas party card class. So super easy and quick! This layout really is versatile and has many possibilities! Now that I look at it, I think that it would have been really cute to put one of those mini library clips with a piece of Riding Hood Red ribbon on the vanilla panel with the words. Yep! So many possibilities!! I hope that you are inspired! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend!!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! Yes, I am officially back! Back from vacation and back from - well - who knows where?! I hope that you all hadn't given up on me. Even if I did find time to stamp I wasn't finding time to post anything. It feels good to get back into it. I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday season! I know that I sure did and I am just not ready for it to end. Monday is a work day at school and that's exactly what I will be doing - working!

Today's card is one that I copied from my friend, Becky. She had a fabulous Christmas card class party at her house last month and we made some really cute cards! I took them to my mom's house over vacation and this is what I came up with while there! I did a secret elf exchange with some other demonstrators and my elf gave me the new Felt Fusion Too flowers. LOVE them! I just had to use them! Anyway, this is my version of Becky's card. Have a great day and enjoy the weekend. I hope it's warmer where you are!
