Ferny Pumpkins

Good morning, Friends! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! It was gorgeous around here! Looks like it will be pretty nice around here for the next few days. I am happy to not be a part of that Polar Vortex! Looks like two full weeks of work and then we get our Thanksgiving break! Woohoo!! I can do this!

Today's card is a fall one. I just love the pumpkins and leaves in this set! So I made a simple fall card.

  • Card base is Whisper White
  • On another piece of Whisper White, stamp the ferny leaves image from Fall Fest using Mossy Meadow - some were stamped without reinking
  • Stamp the pumpkins onto another piece of Whisper White using Tangelo Twist and Mossy Meadow inks and cut out using the Fun Fall framelits
  • Adhere pumpkins together then adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Stamp the greeting from Good Greetings using Early Espresso ink
  • Use the Project Life corner rounder to round the top right hand corner
  • Adhere panel to card with dimensionals
  • Thread a piece of silver baker's twine through a basic metal button and tie and bow then adhere to card
Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Happy Halloween!!!

Good morning, Friends! The last day of October. Hmmm... I think I am in denial that it is getting so close to Christmas! Yikes! So much to do!! And today is Halloween! Wow! My school kiddos are so excited! I have been hearing about it all week - lol! We will see how much I can accomplish at school. The weather here will be super nice for our little trick-or-treaters! I think that's why I am in a little bit of denial. Oh and don't forget to turn those clocks back this weekend! I really don't like it getting dark so early. But I guess I will deal with it - lol!

Today's card was a quickie that I put together last night. I had to have a card for Halloween!!

  • Card base is Whisper White
  • Run a piece of Basic Black through the Big Shot using the ghost die from the Fun Fall framelits
  • Lay the Basic Black panel onto the card base and stamp the face from Fall Fest using Tuxedo black Momento ink then adhere the black panel to the card with dimensionals
  • Cut the word bubble from Whisper White card stock using the Word Bubbles framelits
  • Stamp the "boo!" onto the word bubble using the Skinny Mini Alphabet and Tuxedo black Momento ink then adhere the word bubble to the card with dimensionals
  • Adhere three rhinestones to the card
Thanks for stopping by and have a super scary Halloween!!

Starry Ghost

Good morning, Friends! Whew!! It has just been a crazy few days around here for me! I thought I was doing good by being so far ahead of schedule but then my schedule caught up with me and all of the sudden I have NO time to finish anything up! UGH! I can't wait to get out of town and have nothing to do but sew! I haven't touched my sewing machine since this past summer! I miss it! Looking forward to seeing my friend and having good company on the road! Now to get this last load of laundry and more packing...

Today's card is one I put together last night. I have been wanting to put together some fall/Halloween cards before it's too late. I do love this little die cut ghost! I wasn't sure exactly how to use him but I kind of took a sketch I saw and made it work.

  • Card base is Crushed Curry
  • Use the Confetti Stars punch to punch across the top of a piece of Basic Black and adhere to card base with dimensionals
  • Use the fringe scissors to fringe the edge of a piece of Old Olive card stock
  • Stamp the greeting from And Many More onto the Old Olive panel using Tuxedo Black Momento ink
  • Tie a piece of Basic Black 1/8" taffeta ribbon around the Old Olive panel and adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Use the Fun Fall framelits to cut a ghost out of Whisper White then stamp the face using the image from Fall Fest with Tuxedo Black Momento ink
  • Adhere ghost to card (I doubled the thickness of dimensionals at the top of the ghost)
Pretty simple! And a fun Halloween card! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day! Don't forget that we are into week 2 of the Create with Connie and Mary Holiday Edition! Lots of fun happening!!
