CCMC 241

Good morning everyone and welcome to another fun challenge from the team at Create with Connie and Mary! This week we are being challenged with this really fun sketch! Take a look!

This sketch is SO versatile! Those squares could easily be any shape! I had a lot of different ideas but in the end I stayed very true to the sketch and came up with this!

This is a super simple card! I punched three squares from the Sycamore Street designer paper pack with the Postage Stamp punch. These are adhered to a piece of Whisper White. Then I tied a piece of Island Indigo ribbon around it and then popped up the panel onto a card base of Whisper White. I stamped the greeting from Friendly Phrases in Island Indigo onto a scrap of Whisper White and used the Postage Stamp punch to punch it out. I adhered this to a square piece of Island Indigo and popped it up onto the card. Then I punched two flowers from Pool Party and Rich Razzleberry using the Itty Bitty punch pack. These are adhered to the squares and a rhinestone is added to each. Easy!!

Be sure to visit the Create with Connie and Mary website to see what the other designers created! I know you will be inspired and I hope that you will be able to play along with us this week! We just love to see what you come up with! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

PaperCrafts Sketch

Good morning, Friends! I seem to be feeling oh so much better! I am so glad that this didn't last longer than it did. I still have a little cough but not the sinus pressure. I do hope that next week I can get back to my normal exercise routine. I have missed that! And I hope that I will find my creative mojo! Being sick has left me in a creative slump.

Today's card was inspired by a sketch that was in the recent issue of PaperCrafts magazine. Super simple! I embossed a piece of Crumb Cake with the Honeycomb embossing folder and adhered it to a card base of Midnight Muse. Then I flagged the bottom of three strips of Print Poetry designer paper and adhered them to the card. I stamped the greeting from Oh, Hello in Midnight Muse onto Very Vanilla and used the Ovals framelits dies to cut it out. I stamped the flower image in Crumb Cake (stamping off once) and then sponged the edges of the oval in Crumb Cake. This is popped up onto the card and two pearls were added. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Paper Players 134

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is off to a fabulous start! I know those in the midwest are snowbound! Wow!! Here we did get a little snow last night but Nick is really jealous of those kiddos who get another day off - lol! I just hope that all this snow will start to help with the drought situation that we will be facing this summer. I am starting to feel better and better as the days go by (slowly). I hope today is another good day. I tried to do some stamping yesterday but only got this card done. Well, I did get another one done but I want to see if I can make it a little more exciting. We will see if I have it in me today - lol!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch challenge at The Paper Players. A very clean and simple sketch! And I think that I held to that with my card. I stamped the outline image from Oh, Hello in Sahara Sand onto a card base of Whisper White and the "hello" part of the greeting in Rich Razzleberry (I must have gotten some ink on my hand so I tried to cover it up with the white gel pen). Then I used the Ovals framelits die and cut the smallest oval from Pool Party and popped it up onto the card. I stamped the flower in Rich Razzleberry and Lucky Limeade onto a scrap of Whisper White and cut it out. This is popped up onto the oval. Finally I threaded some white baker's twine through a button from the Sycamore Street ribbon and button pack and adhered it to the oval. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Wisteria Tea

Good morning, Friends! Another Monday, another week! They just seem to fly by! And this is the last week of February! Wow! I am excited to see that the sun is coming up much earlier now! Yea!! Spring is on the way!! While it was colder last week and we are starting off cold this week, the temps will be getting warmer by the end of this week! My head cold seems to be getting better but I did wake up with a screaming migraine. Ugh! Looking forward to being done with this!! I hope to have it nipped with the drugs and coffee - lol!

Today's card was inspired by my Pinterest board. I had seen cards with the flowers in the tea cup and new I could recreate that, too! So off to work I went. On a piece of Very Vanilla I stamped the flowers from Tea Shopped in Lucky Limeade and Wisteria Wonder. Then I took another piece of Very Vanilla and ran it through the Big Shot using the Designer Frames embossing folder. I cut around the frame and then cut the middle of the frame out, too. I popped the frame up over the stamped image. I tied a piece of Wisteria Wonder ruffled ribbon around the panel and popped it up onto a card base of Very Vanilla. Then I stamped the tea cup in Wisteria Wonder and cut it out. This is popped up onto the card. I added a pearl to the flower center. I stamped the greeting in Wisteria Wonder onto Very Vanilla and punched it out with the Word Window punch. This is attached to the ribbon with the Vintage trinkets. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!!

Bitty Butterfly Trio

Good morning, Friends! I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend! I am feeling a little better this morning. Thank you so much for your kind words yesterday! They really made my day! It was nice to be alone yesterday. And it sounds like Nick had a great time skiing! He kept saying it was the best day ever! I started to feel much better as the day went on and was even able to accomplish some hand sewing. Then I went to Nick's Futsal game and that was o.k. but by the time I got home I was spent. So more cold medicine and off to bed. This morning is better and I hope it continues!! Nick has a basketball game this afternoon so that should be fun!

Today's card was inspired by a card I saw on a display board from Leadership. Love the bright fun colors! A piece of the Sycamore Street designer paper is adhered to a card base of Sahara Sand. Then on another piece of Sahara Sand I stamped the greeting from Friendly Phrases in Rich Razzleberry. I tied a piece of Rich Razleberry stitched grosgrain ribbon around it and popped it up onto the card. Then I used the Bitty Butterfly punch and punched three butterflies from Tangerine Tango, Rich Razzleberry and Summer Starfruit. I used the itty bitty punch pack to punch flowers from the same colors. I adhered the flowers to the butterflies, punched a hole through them and added a mini brad. Then I adhered them to a strip of Whisper White that had the bottom flagged. This strip is then popped up onto the card. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Friendly Phrases; Paper- Sahara Sand, Tangerine Tango, Rich Razzleberry, Summer Starfruit, Whisper White, Sycamore Street designer paper; Ink- Rich Razzleberry; Accessories- Rich Razzleberry stitched grosgrain ribbon, Bitty Butterfly punch, itty bitty punch pack, mini brads, dimensionals

Little Silhouette

Good morning, Friends! Well, it's now official. I am sick. Ugh! I thought I could make myself keep doing what I always do, then I wouldn't come down with what everyone else had. I don't believe it's the flu but it is definitely a head and chest cold. Yuck! Right now I have a huge headache so I am trying hard to not cough. Looks like I will be spending most of the day in bed. Meanwhile, my husband took my son skiing. All by myself - :)

Since I haven't been feeling well it has been kind of hard to be creative. So I went to my Pinterest board and found some cards that I could use for inspiration. This is one of them. Love the simplicity! I took three pieces of different shades of blue - Island Indigo, Baja Breeze and Pool Party - and ran them through the Big Shot using the Honeycomb embossing folder. These are then adhered to a piece of Whisper White and then popped up onto a card base of Whisper White. Then I ran a piece of Basic Black through the Big Shot using the Little Leaves sizzlet. This is adhered to the card. The greeting from Sweet Essentials is stamped in black StazOn onto a strip of Whisper White and flagged at one end. I put an Island Indigo brad through the other end. This is then popped up onto the card. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good Friday morning, Friends!! Sketch Frenzy Friday has a fantastic sketch for you all to try! This week's sketch was created by Sharon Wheet. Take a look!

Love the simplicity of this sketch! So I kept my card really simple, too. Take a look!

I punched a strip of Basic Black with the dotted ribbon scallop punch and adhered it to the bottom of a piece of designer paper from the Print Poetry collection. This is then adhered to a card base of Very Vanilla. I punched a circle from Crumb Cake using the 2 1/2" circle punch and stamped the word image from By the Tide in Crumb Cake (I stamped off once before stamping on the circle). The edges are sponged with Crumb Cake ink and the circle is popped up onto the card. Then I stamped the shell in Primrose Petals and carefully cut it out. This is popped up onto the card. The words are from Sweet Essentials and stamped in black StazOn onto a strip of Very Vanilla. I flagged one end and popped up the other end onto the circle. Then I added a vanilla button with some linen thread and adhered it to the card.

Good morning, Friends! It's the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday challenge! This week we have a color challenge. Take a look at these wonderful colors!!

Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Basic Grey. Aren't these colors just wonderful?! I do love grey and yellow together anyway and then adding a pop of that bright pink is just delightful! Take a look at how I put them together!

I stamped the swirl image from Everything Eleanor in Basic Grey onto a card base of Basic Grey. Then I added a strip of Basic Grey designer paper with one end flagged. I stamped the label image in Daffodil Delight and then the greeting from Perfectly Penned in Basic Grey onto Whisper White and cut it out. This is popped up onto the card. Then I took a piece of Melon Mambo card stock to the Big Shot and used the Beautiful Wings embosslit to cut a butterfly. I added a mini brad and adhered it to the card. Finally I added three pearls to the label.

Good morning, Friends! I hope that you are all having a fabulous week! We seem to have a little "bug" going around our family the last few days. Nick had it a couple of weeks ago ending with a need for more asthma medicine. Geez that stuff it expensive!! But he is doing so much better now. But now my husband seems to have some chest congestion and I am starting to feel a scratchy throat. Time to get serious and fight back - lol! Sure hope it's minor. Today I am excited to have the second class for hand piecing! Yup! I am making a small wall hanging quilt completely done by hand! It's the way my grandmother did it and I am so excited to learn it! I don't know if I will do a lot like this but it's good to learn and I want to keep trying it!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Splitcoast. This is actually last week's sketch but I did this card for a swap, too. I wanted something very masculine. I stamped the coral image from By the Tide in Summer Starfruit (stamping off once before stamping onto the card stock) onto Summer Starfruit and then sponged the edges in Summer Starfruit. Then I adhered a strip of Midnight Muse and wrapped some linen thread around this a few times. I stamped the greeting from Made for You in Soft Suede and then adhered the panel to a card base of Soft Suede. I stamped the coral image again in Soft Suede onto a piece of Very Vanilla and sponged the edges in Soft Suede. This is adhered to a piece of Soft Suede and then popped up onto the card. I stamped the fish in Midnight Muse onto Very Vanilla and cut it out. This is popped up onto the card as well. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! I was really upset that I didn't get this card posted yesterday as I had it done. I just didn't have it photographed. I don't like using my light tent anymore as the photos just don't come out as good as I think they should. I like to take my photos in the afternoon by the window and the natural light really makes everything come out better! But I forgot to take the photo on Sunday. Sunday was a very weird day. Anyway, I tried to take the photo yesterday as the sun was coming up in the morning but that wasn't any good either. It just has to be early afternoon. So no post yesterday. But that's they way it all goes!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made. And because I didn't get my post up yesterday, I am too late to enter it in the challenge. Oh well. I hope you all will still enjoy it! I took a piece of Naturals Ivory and cut a 3" circle using the die. Then I sponged Baja Breeze ink around the edges and stamped the coral image from By the Tide in Not Quite Navy. This is adhered to a card base of Naturals Ivory. Then I flagged one end of a strip of Not Quite Navy and adhered this to the card. I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Not Quite Navy onto a strip of Naturals Ivory and flagged one end before adhering it to the other strip. Then I stamped the shell in Baja Breeze onto a scrap of Naturals Ivory and cut it out. This is popped up onto the card. I added a silver button with some linen thread tied through it. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good Sunday morning, Friends! I hope you are all having a super weekend! We had a beautiful day around here yesterday. This morning it is looking a little cloudy so we will see what the weather does. But Nick is excited as he has two basketball games today! And that should be really fun! Then he really does have some serious homework to finish before tomorrow when we start the week all over again!

Today's card was the final one we did at our stamp club this month. I used the Fall-To-Layout at Clean&Simple. A very simple card! I adhered a piece of So Saffron to a card base of Perfect Plum. Then I stamped the stem of the Boutique Blossom in Wild Wasabi onto a piece of Whisper White. Then on a scrap of Whisper White I stamped the flower in Perfect Plum and again in So Saffron. I cut the middle part of the flower out from the So Saffron and adhered it to the cut out flower of the Perfect Plum. Then the flower is popped up onto the panel. I stamped the greeting from Friendly Phrases in Perfect Plum. Then I used the Essentials Paper Piercing pack to added some details to the corners of the panel. This is then popped up onto the card and a rhinestone was added as well. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! I hope you are all ready for a super weekend! It was so very nice to sleep in and wake up to a really sun shining day! I do hope it warms up a bit! I can really start to tell that spring is not too far off! Nick has some projects that I hope he finishes off this afternoon. Then there is basketball games to watch on t.v. and then later this evening, Nick has two Futsal games to play. Should be lots of fun!!

Today's card was another one we did at stamp club this month. I used the sketch on Splitcoast to help me with this one. I stamped the coral image from By the Tide on a piece of River Rock designer paper in Always Artichoke and then sponged the edges in River Rock. This is adhered to a piece of Not Quite Navy and then to a card base of Always Artichoke. Then I used the Ovals framelits to cut an oval from Always Artichoke and sponged the edges with Always Artichoke. This is popped up onto the card. I stamped the shell in River Rock onto Very Vanilla and cut it out. This is popped up onto the oval. The little anchor is stamped in Not Quite Navy onto Very Vanilla and punched out with the 1" circle punch. I added a mini brad to it and adhered to to the shell. The greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and is stamped in Always Artichoke onto a strip of Very Vanilla with one end flagged. I tucked this behind the circle. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!!

Good morning everyone! And TGIF! I am so ready for the weekend! But it has been a good week! Looking forward to some stitching time tonight with some great friends! Today the Sketch Frenzy Friday team is inviting you to play along with our newest sketch. This week's sketch was created by Robbie Rubala. Take a look!

Great sketch! My card ended up being a little like yesterday's card but I did change the colors and stamps. Here's what I created!

I adhered a piece of Sycamore Street designer paper to a card base of Whisper White. Then I took another piece of Whisper White and used the Adorning Accents edgelits to scallop the side of the card stock. I stamped the stem of the Boutique Blossom in Gumball Green and on scraps of Whisper White, I stamped the image twice more - once in Rich Razzleberry and once in Summer Starfruit. I cut the middle of the Summer Starfruit out and the whole flower from Rich Razzleberry. These are adhered together and then popped up onto the card. The panel is then popped up onto the card. Then I stamped the sentiment from Sweet Essentials in Rich Razzleberry onto a strip of Whisper White and flagged one end. This is adhered to the card and a rhinestone was added.

Be sure to visit the Sketch Frenzy Friday website to see what the other talented designers did with this sketch. I hope you will be inspired to play along with us this week! We always love to see what you do with our sketches! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

CCMC 239

Good morning, Friends! It's Thursday and the Create with Connie and Mary team has a great challenge for you all to try!! This week we are being challenged with a sketch. Take a look!

A very clean and simple sketch that is just right up my alley!! I was so super excited for this one that I had a hard time trying to figure out what to do! So many ideas and they were all getting muddled together. So I sat down and used the color challenge (Tangerine Tango, Whisper White and Lucky Limeade) at Splitcoast to help me focus. And here is what I came up with!

I kept my card pretty clean and simple - just like the sketch. I adhered a strip of the Sycamore Street designer paper to a card base of Whisper White. Then I embossed a panel of Whisper White with the Honeycomb embossing folder and popped it up onto the card base. A strip of Tangerine Tango is adhered to this. Then I stamped the leaf from Just Believe in Lucky Limeade onto a Whisper White circle that was cut using the Circles #2 die. This is adhered to a scallop circle of Lucky Limeade that was punched with the 2 3/8" scallop circle punch and then it is popped up onto the card. Then I stamped the greeting in Tangerine Tango onto a strip of Whisper White and flagged the end. This is then adhered to the card. Finally, I took a flower button from the Brights collection and tied some white baker's twine through it and adhered it to the card.

Be sure to visit the Create with Connie and Mary website to see more inspiration from the very talented design team! I hope you will play along with us this week! We always are inspired by your creations!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Fab Friday 11

Good morning, Friends! This week seems to be going fairly quickly around here! And we don't even have a lot that is on our calendar. It's kind of nice! Tonight will be another quiet evening of watching basketball games. Love that! And Nick can spend some time working on his research project. I need to get some stamping done but other than that I am hoping to do a little stitching. Haven't done that in a while.

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Fab Friday. This is also a card that my stamp club did this month. I wanted to try the chalkboard technique and this is what I came up with. And I kind of like it! Lots of steps to this but it is pretty easy. First of all, I adhered a strip of Summer Starfruit to a card base of Marina Mist. Then I stamped the Hello, Hello single stamp image onto Basic Black card stock using VersaMark ink and then emboss it using white emboss powder. Then I stamped the image again right over the embossed one but just off-set using white craft ink. Then I took a tissue and rubbed the ink off the embossed image and tried to smear it and make it look like eraser marks on a chalkboard. To make the white lines I used a ruler and a white watercolor pencil. I sponged the edges with Basic Black ink to give it a little shadow. Then I punched a strip of Real Red with the dotted ribbon scallop punch and adhered it to the top of the Basic Black piece before popping it up onto the card. I added a strip of Real Red designer paper from the Polka Dot Parade designer paper pack that has both ends flagged. Finally, I added several rhinestones for a little bling! I hope you give this fun technique a try! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Hello, Hello; Paper- Basic Black, Marina Mist, Real Red, Summer Starfruit, Polka Dot Parade designer paper; Ink- VersaMark, Basic Black, white craft; Accessories- white emboss powder, rhinestones, white watercolor pencil, dotted ribbon scallop punch, sponge, dimensionals

Seize The Birthday #5

Good morning, Friends! Well I sure didn't want to get out of bed this morning! Ugh!! Felt so good to stay under the warm blankets. But here we are trying to get our son ready for school. And it's only Tuesday - lol! We will be ready for the weekend!! I had a great stamp club last night! And I am excited to share the cards we made. I think that everyone liked them!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Seize the Birthday. A super simple one! This is one of the cards we did at club last night. Bright and fun! I adhered a piece of Sycamore Street designer paper to a piece of Sahara Sand card stock and then wrapped a piece of Island Indigo ribbon from the Sycamore Street ribbon and button pack. Then it is popped up onto a card base of Island Indigo. Then I stamped and the Just Thinking stamp in VersaMark and heat embossed the image with clear emboss powder. I cut around the image and popped it up onto the card. I stamped the image again in Island Indigo onto Whisper White and cut the inside circle out (don't tell anyone, but a 2 1/4" circle punch will punch it out; Becky had one and we used it at the club - lol). This circle is popped up onto the image. Then I added a Tangerine Tango button from the Sycamore Street ribbon and button pack with some white baker's twine threaded through it. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

CAS(E) This Sketch 14

Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend and are ready for another week! Nick's team won both of their basketball games yesterday! The second one ended up being very close and it all came down to the last seconds! Very exciting! He is still coughing so it is a good thing that tonight is a quiet night for him and he can stay home and watch KU play K-State! Wish I could, too but I have my stamp club tonight. That will be fun, too!! Looking forward to seeing everyone again!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at CAS(E) This. A simple sketch that was really fun to work with! I stamped the oval image from Oh, Hello in Pool Party onto a piece of Pool Party card stock. Then I inked just the 'thanks' with Island Indigo and stamped it onto the panel. I tied a piece of Tangerine Tango ribbon from the Sycamore Street ribbon and button pack around this and popped up the panel onto a card base of Pool Party. Then I stamped the flower in Tangerine Tango and Lucky Limeade and stamped it onto Whisper White. I carefully cut it out and popped it up onto the card. Then I added a few rhinestones for some sparkle!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

PCCCS028

Good morning, Friends! Looks like it snowed again last night. Not as much as the night before but there is some white stuff out there. Yesterday's snow melted off before the day was over. And now we have more but that's o.k. We really need the moisture and to have it all melted off by the end of the day means that it isn't getting as cold as it was just a month ago! And I love how the days are getting just a little longer! I feel spring coming on!! Today we are headed out for breakfast and then Nick has two basketball games! Looking forward to that! His cough is getting a little better but still needs those inhalers. So glad it wasn't anything more serious.

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Paper Craft Crew Challenges. I kept this one pretty simple. Two corners of a piece of Sycamore Street designer paper are rounded and then adhered to a card base of Sahara Sand. Then an oval that was cut from Island Indigo using the Oval framelits dies was cut and and adhered to the card. I stamped the oval image from Oh, Hello in Summer Starfruit onto Whisper White and cut it out with a smaller oval from the Oval framelits dies. The greeting is stamped in Island Indigo. This is popped up onto the card. On top of this I adhered a strip of Pool Party with the end flagged. Then I cut I butterfly from Tangerine Tango using the Beautiful Wings embosslit. This is adhered to the card. Finally, I added a button from the Sycamore Street ribbon and button pack with some white baker's twine tied through it. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Oh, Hello; Paper- Sahara Sand, Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango, Pool Party, Whisper White, Sycamore Street designer paper; Ink- Summer Starfruit, Island Indigo; Accessories- Ovals framelits dies, Beautiful Wings embosslit, Sycamore Street ribbon and button pack, white baker's twine, corner rounder, dimensionals

CAS Challenge #9 and #11

Good morning, Friends! I hope your weekend is off to a great start! Nick stayed came home early from school on Thursday and stayed home yesterday. Last night he started feeling better and I do hope that he feels even better today! I really hate it when he's sick! I just want to make it all go away! He just has the coughing and sinus stuff. Now it's just mostly coughing. I woke up with a migraine and I am hoping that goes away quickly. Plus it snowed again overnight. Just when the last of our snow from December was finally melting. Now it's all white again. So I am glad that we have a quiet day around here and can just cozy up to the fire and take it easy!

Today's card was inspired by two challenges at CAS-Colours and Sketches. I used their recent color challenge of Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla and Perfect Plum and combined it with a past sketch challenge from a few weeks ago. Very simple card! I adhered a piece of the Print Poetry designer paper to a Very Vanilla card base. On top of that I adhered a strip of Very Vanilla that was flagged at the bottom. Then I cut a heart from Perfect Plum card stock using the Hearts a Fluter framelits dies. I sponged the edges with Perfect Plum ink and popped it up onto the card. I threaded some linen thread through a Crumb Cake button and adhered it to the heart. Then I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Perfect Plum onto a strip of Very Vanilla and flagged the end. This is tucked adhered to the heart and tucked under the button. Thanks for stopping by and have a most fabulous day!

SFF 020813

Good morning, Friends! It's Friday and time for another fun challenge from the Sketch Frenzy Friday team! This week's sketch was created by Patrice Herrera. Take a look!

A super simple and fun sketch! There are lots of possibilities with this one and I decided to go outside of my box a bit. I did a little experiment and I guess it turned out o.k.

I took four squares of designer paper from the Sycamore Street designer paper pack and rounded opposite corners. I tried to give them a little dimension by curling the edges with a bone folder and then I popped up just the outside ends with dimensionals onto a piece of Whisper White. This is then adhered to a piece of Rich Razzleberry and then popped up onto a card base of Whisper White. I punched a 1 1/4" circle from Summer Starfruit and sponged the edges with Summer Starfruit before adhering it to the center of my "flower". On top of this I adhered a silver designer button with a piece of Rich Razzleberry stitched grosgrain ribbon threaded through it. Below the panel I stamped the greeting from Sweet Essentials in Rich Razzleberry.

CCMC 238

Good morning everyone! I'm here today with the latest challenge from the Create with Connie and Mary team! This week we are being challenged with color! Take a look!

Aren't these great spring-like colors?! I am so excited that our temperatures have warmed up slightly and that the snow is melting! But our driveway is sure a muddy mess! Anywho, these colors were so fun to work with! Take a look at my creation!

I did end up keeping my card very simple! And oh, how I do love this Oh, Hello stamp set! I seem to be using it quite a bit! Hope your not too tired of it! But for this card I started out by embossing a piece of Island Indigo with the Honeycomb embossing folder and then tied a piece of Calypso Coral ruffled ribbon around it. This is then popped up onto a card base of Island Indigo. Then I used the Ovals framelits dies and cut an oval from Whisper White. I stamped the greeting from Oh, Hello in Island Indigo and popped it up onto the card. I stamped the flower with the Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade markers and carefully cut it out. This is then popped up onto the oval. I added three small rhinestones for some bling!

Be sure to visit the Create with Connie and Mary website to see the fabulous creations from the rest of the design team! So many great ideas! I hope that you will inspire us with your creation by playing along this week!

CCMC-002 and CC412

Good morning, Friends! My husband made it home safe and sound yesterday! Sounds like the flights were uneventful which makes for safe and easy traveling! So thankful for that! And Nick was glad to have his dad home, too! A quiet evening at home watching some basketball was really nice! Today I really need to get back to doing the laundry and getting some stamping done. I have a workshop coming up next week and need to start thinking about that. And I haven't stitched in quite a while. We do have another quiet evening around here so I should be able to get some of that done tonight!

Today's card was inspired by two challenges! I recently got By the Tide stamp set with my birthday discount! I thought it would make some nice masculine cards. I used the sketch at CCMC-002 (Create with Connie and Mary Spring Edition Challenge) and the color challenge at Splitcoast Stampers. These colors are right up my alley - Crumb Cake, Basic Black and Very Vanilla! And I thought these colors were perfect for masculine cards! So I took a piece of Crumb Cake designer paper and sponged the edges with Crumb Cake. This is layered onto a piece of Basic Black. Then I added three metallic brads and layered this panel onto a card base of Crumb Cake. I used the 3" circle die to cut a circle from Very Vanilla and stamped the image from By the Tide in Crumb Cake. I also sponged the edges of the circle with Crumb Cake and then popped it up onto the card. I stamped the fish in black StazOn onto Very Vanilla and cut it out. It, too, is popped up onto the circle. Then I stamped the greeting from Sweet Essentials in black StazOn onto a strip of Very Vanilla and flagged one end. I tucked this under the fish. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!

Mojo 279

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is off to a fantastic start! Pat comes home today!! Yea! Nick and I have been managing just fine but we do miss daddy! Another quiet evening at home. Need to enjoy these as it will get quite busy in another month or so as the soccer season gets into full swing. I get to have a nice lunch with a friend I haven't seen in quite a while. I also need to get some stitching and stamping done. And there is always laundry...

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Mojo Monday. Love the sketch and I think my card turned out o.k., too! Something a little different. I took my colors from the Sycamore Street designer paper. First off I embossed a piece of Summer Starfruit with the Honeycomb embossing folder and adhered it to a card base of Island Indigo. Then I stamped the banner image from Oh, Hello several times on Whisper White using Rich Razzleberry, Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango and Summer Starfruit markers. I also used the stamp-a-ma-jig to help me place each one. Then I cut it out and popped it up onto the card. A strip of Rich Razzleberry was adhered to the banner piece. Then I stamped the greeting onto Whisper White in Island Indigo and used the smallest oval framelit die to cut it out. This is popped up onto card. I added a butterfly that was cut from Tangerine Tango using the Beautiful Wings embosslit and a rhinestone. Thanks for stopping by and have a most wonderful day!

Freshly Made 71

Good morning everyone! It felt so good to sleep in this morning! Nick spent the night at a friend's and Pat is out of town so that meant I had the house all to myself! I watched basketball games and stitched and ate junk food - lol! Today Nick has a basketball game and then we will come home to watch the Super Bowl! I don't really care who wins but I like to see the commercials!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made. So many possibilities with this one!! For my card I made a tag from Basic Grey card stock by rounding the top with the 2 1/2" circle punch and flagging the bottom. Then I punched two strips of Real Red with the dotted ribbon scallop border punch. I adhered these to the back of a piece of More Amore designer paper and then to the tag. The tag is popped up onto a card base of Naturals Ivory. To the top of the tag I added a piece of Victoria crochet trim that was tied with some linen thread and an antique brad. Then I carefully cut a Real Red doily heart from the More Amore designer paper and popped it up onto the card. I added a greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes that was stamped in Basic Grey onto a strip of Naturals Ivory and flagged one end. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!!

CAS(E) This 13

Good early morning everyone! I couldn't sleep so I thought I would just get up, have some coffee, and blog a bit! Really stinks when you have the weekend to sleep in a bit and you can't. Ugh! I guess that just means that I will need a nap this afternoon - lol! I will be taking my son out for pancakes later this morning. And then a little shopping. He really needs a few things. Seems he won't stop growing!!

Today's card was inspired by the challenge at CAS(E) This. Love their challenges for the great clean and simple sketches! The only hard part about this one was trying to get a decent picture. I took a piece of Whisper White and stamped the oval image from Oh, Hello in Sahara Sand and the greeting in Island Indigo. I rounded the two left hand corners with the 3/4" circle punch and added a flagged strip of Sycamore Street designer paper. This is popped up onto a card base of Whisper White. Then I took a piece of Pool Party and Island Indigo and ran them through the Big Shot with the Beautiful Wings embosslit. I layered two of them together with a brad and then adhered them to the card. Wow! That was easy - lol! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

SFF 020113

Good morning, Friends! It's finally Friday!! I am looking forward to a relaxing weekend!! Love to be able to sleep in! I hope you are ready for another great challenge from the Sketch Frenzy Friday team. This week's sketch was created by Maria Vanderform. Take a look!

Cute sketch isn't it!! It was fun to think of all the possibilities with this but here is what I did come up with!

A very easy card! With the help of my stamp-a-ma-jig, I stamped the flags in Crumb Cake onto Crumb Cake card stock. I sponged the edges in Crumb Cake and adhered it to a card base of Crumb Cake. Then I stamped the oval image from Oh, Hello in Summer Starfruit onto Very Vanilla. I stamped the greeting in Midnight Muse and punched it out with the 1 3/4" circle punch. This is popped up onto a scallop circle that was punched from Midnight Muse using the 2 3/8" scallop circle punch. Behind this I adhered a folded piece of Gumball Green stitched satin ribbon. This is then popped up onto the card. Finally I added two rhinestones.

Be sure to visit the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog for more inspiration! I hope that you will be able to play along with us this week! We always love to see what you do with our challenges! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!
