CPS 275

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week got off to a great start! I ended up wasting the day yesterday. I did get two loads of laundry done but that was it. I need to focus a little better today. I do have a hair appointment this morning and then I need to make a stop at the quilt shop. I have two discounts left on my card that I have to spend today or lose them. Yesterday, while Nick was at soccer practice, I made a quick stop at Joann's and got some yarn and a crochet hook to try my hand at that. Geesh! What is up with me? I hope I can get it mastered as I do have a very cute little blanket that I would like to make that incorporates charm squares and crocheting!

Today's card was inspired by an older sketch at CPS. Another very simple one. And this stamp set is perfect for those clean and simple cards! I took a piece of Summer Starfruit to the Big Shot and ran it through with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. This is adhered to a piece of Elegant Eggplant and then popped up onto a card base of Baja Breeze. Then I stamped the image from Lean on Me in black StazOn onto a piece of Whisper White. I rounded the four corners with the corner rounder and watercolored the image with a blender pen and Summer Starfruit, Baja Breeze, Blush Blossom and Crumb Cake. Behind this panel I added a piece of Elegant Eggplant that has two end corners rounded. I punched holes for three silver brads and the popped this up onto the card. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Melon Flower

Good morning, Friends! Well, we made it home yesterday afternoon. I was totally wrong about the whole "one more game and we would be on the road home" thing. The boys lost their first game but they did have a second game that they did win. And that meant they had a third game which they won as well! So we ended on a pretty good note there! Nick had a blast and gave it his all!! And we all got a little bit too much sun. I am feeling the effects of that now. I must remember the sun block for this weekend! So it's a day of laundry and crafting. And boy is it humid around these parts! Ugh!!

Today's card is a simple one. I adhered a strip of Twitterpated designer paper that has one end flagged to a piece of Whisper White. I stamped the greeting from Sweet Essentials in Melon Mambo and popped this panel up onto a card base of Whisper White. Then I stamped the flower from Mixed Bunch in Melon Mambo onto Whisper White and punched it out with the Blossoms punch. I used the same punch to punch out a flower from Old Olive. I cut two petals from the Old Olive flower and adhered them to the back of the flower to act as leaves. The flower is popped up onto the card. I stamped the flower center in Basic Grey and cut this out. This is popped up onto the flower. Then I added a grey button with some white baker's twine to the flower center. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Mixed Bunch, Sweet Essentials; Paper- Whisper White, Old Olive, Twitterpated designer paper; Ink- Melon Mambo, Basic Grey; Accessories- Blossom punch, neutrals buttons, white baker's twine, dimensionals

Cajun Kindness

Good Sunday morning everyone! We are still in Vail. The boys lost both games yesterday but played really well! The teams we lost to were exceptional! This is the first 3v3 tournament our boys have participated in so I think they are doing very well!! It's a great warm-up for our team tournament next weekend. Can't wait to get out of town again!! Today they have one game this morning and if they win they can keep playing. Otherwise we will be home early! Works for me - lol!!

Today's card was inspired by a card I saw on the Hero Arts blog. Mine looks way different as I used all Stampin' Up! products. I pulled out a set I haven't used in quite a while, Delicate Doilies. I stamped the doilies onto a Sahara Sand card base with Sahara Sand ink (I stamped off once before stamping onto the card). Then I took a piece of Sahara Sand and stamped the largest doily in Sahara Sand. I added a piece of Sahara Sand designer paper that I had scalloped the edge of using the scallop edge border punch. Behind this panel I added two strips of Cajun Craze that had been punched with the dotted ribbon scallop punch and popped this up onto the card. I stamped the smallest doily in Pacific Point onto Whisper White card stock and punched it out with the 1 1/4" circle punch. I added an antique brad and popped this up onto the card. I stamped the greeting from Sweet Essentials in Cajun Craze on a strip of Whisper White and flagged both ends. I popped this up onto the card as well. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Delicate Doilies, Sweet Essentials; Paper- Sahara Sand, Cajun Craze, Whisper White Neutrals designer paper stack; Ink- Sahara Sand, Pacific Point, Cajun Craze; Accessories- antique brads, dotted ribbon scallop punch, 1 1/4" circle punch, scallop edge border punch, dimensionals

Window Friend

Good morning, Friends! I hope your weekend is off to a great start! We are in Vail this weekend for a 3v3 soccer tournament. A lot of Nick's soccer team is doing this which means that there are two teams. Yesterday they played each other. Of course you want your son's team to win but it was hard to not cheer for the other boys, too. Anyway, we did lose to them. Then the boys played another game and that one ended in a tie. So two more games today and then we see what tomorrow brings. At least they are having fun. And the weather is perfect!! I even had to wear a jacket - WOW!!! I love it!!

Today's card is one that was inspired from a card that I pinned from Pinterest. Of course I had to change the colors and stamps. I stamped the floral image from My Friend in Gumball Green and So Saffron onto Very Vanilla. And then I stamped the sentiment in Gumball Green. I cut apart the panels and arranged them onto a piece of Gumball Green. I tied a piece of Gumball Green stitched satin ribbon around this and popped it up onto a card base of So Saffron. I added to rhinestones to finish it off! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

SFF 072712

Good Friday morning everyone! I'm back with the challenge from Sketch Frenzy Friday! This week's sketch was created by Patrice Herrera. Take a look!

Another fun sketch to try out! I changed it up just a bit and came up with this!

I took a piece of Daffodil Delight and ran it through the Big Shot with the Argyle embossing folder then adhered it to a piece of Early Espresso and then to a Whisper White card base. Then I took three strips of Early Espresso designer paper, flagged one end of each and adhered them to the card. Then I stamped the balloons Up, Up & Away in Island Indigo and Cherry Cobbler and the balloon basket in Early Espresso onto Whisper White and cut them out. These are popped up onto the card. I stamped the greeting in Early Espresso onto Whisper White and punched it out with the 1 1/4" circle punch. This is adhered to a 1 3/8" punched circle of Island Indigo and then popped up onto a scallop circle of Cherry Cobbler. This is popped up onto the card. I finished this off by punching a flower from Daffodil Delight with the itty bitty shapes punch pack and adding a rhinestone.

Click 'here' to continue through the tour to see what the rest of the design team has done with this fun sketch. I hope that you will be inspired and will play along with us this week! CCMC 211

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is going just super! I can't believe we are at the end of July already! Where did it go?? And here we are at another Thursday challenge from the ladies at Create with Connie and Mary! This week we have a sketch challenge. Check it out!

So I stuck pretty much to the sketch and came up with this.

I stamped the silhouette image from Serene Silhouettes in Soft Suede onto a 3" Very Vanilla circle. I sponged the edges in Soft Suede and then popped it up onto a doily that was cut with the Delicate Doilies from Soft Suede card stock. This is popped up onto a piece of Pool Party. I stamped the greeting from Made for You in Soft Suede. Then I punched two strips of Soft Suede with the dotted ribbon scallop punch and adhered this behind the Pool Party panel. This is popped up onto a card base of Very Vanilla. To finish it off, I added a vanilla button with a bit of Pool Party ruffled ribbon.

I hope you will play along with us this week and use your Stampin' Up! products to make a project using the sketch provided. Be sure to upload your creation to the Create with Connie and Mary site so that we can all take a look! We just love to see what you do! While you're there, be sure to check out what the rest of the design team did with this sketch. Thanks for stopping and have a super day!

Retro 21

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is going great! It sure does seem to be flying by!! I am really glad that I was able to sleep in a little. It seems like I have been getting up so darn early for one reason or another. But not today! Later this morning I am taking a class with some other friends on how to weave a basket! I am pretty excited about this! It's something new and different!

Today's card was inspired from the sketch challenge at Retro Sketches. A super simple layout and card! And something a little different! I took a piece of Midnight Muse and used my 1 3/4" circle punch to round the top. I flagged the bottom and then punched a hole at the top to thread some crochet ribbon through. I used a bit of linen thread to tie a bow around that. This is popped up onto a card base of Crumb Cake. Then I took a piece of Summer Starfruit to the Big Shot and used my Delicate Doilies sizzlet to cut a small doily. This is adhered to the tag. The Very Vanilla piece is cut with the Apothecary Accents framelits. I stamped the sentiment from Tea Shoppe in Soft Suede and then sponged the edges with Crumb Cake. I added two silver brads before adhering it to the card. Then I stamped the tea cup in Pool Party on a scrap of Very Vanilla and cut it out. This is popped up onto the card. Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!!

Winter Ice Skates

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week has started out super! Nick had soccer camp last night and it got rained out. There was lightning in the area so they decided to call it short. He was bummed but it was safer that way. On the way home we could tell that it had dumped buckets in parts of the town but at our house.... NOTHING! UGH! We really need some rain, too!!! I am hoping for some today. We will see. Right now I have a headache and I am hoping I can get rid of that so I can get some things done around here.

Today's card was one I was thinking of doing for a swap. But I decided to go in a different direction so I am posting this one now. This is a sneak peek of what will be in the upcoming Holiday mini catalog! I love this image of the ice skates from the Winter Memories stamp set. The other images are beautiful, too! For my card, I took a piece of Always Artichoke and ran it through the Big Shot with the Fancy Fan embossing folder and then rounded the corners on one end. I adhered this to a piece of River Rock and pierced a scallop border with the help of the Essentials Paper Piercing pack. This is glued to a card base of Always Artichoke. Then I added a strip of Cherry Cobbler and a snowflake that was cut from silver glimmer paper using the new snowflake die. I stamped the sentiment on a strip of Very Vanilla in Always Artichoke and flagged one end. The other end is tucked behind the snowflake. I stamped the skates onto watercolor paper with black StazOn ink and watercolored the image with various inks. Then I cut them out. I added a silver brad and popped them up onto the card. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

FTL 199 - Happy Birthday, Sherry!!

Good morning, Friends! Home again, home again! Now to get some laundry done, grocery shopping, stamping, sewing... Oh and Nick spent the night at a friend's house and I will need to run them to the rec center in a little while... Then he has soccer camp later tonight... I hope I get a lot done - lol!! We had a great weekend, though! We will be on the road again this weekend. I'm so thankful that we get to to this! It can get tiring but it is so much fun and a great way to spend time together as a family!!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch from Clean&Simple. It was their sketch from last week. Last Wednesday we celebrated our friend's birthday, which is actually today - Happy Birthday, Sherry!!! This is the card that I gave her. I started with a strip of Whisper White that was flagged at the bottom. Then I punched two strips of Midnight Muse with the dotted ribbon scallop punch and adhered them behind the strip. This panel is popped up onto a card base of Whisper White. On scraps of Whisper White I stamped the cupcake bottoms from Create a Cupcake in Midnight Muse and the tops in Summer Starfruit, Primrose Petals, and Baja Breeze. These were all punched out with the cupcake builder punch. I popped these up onto the card. Then I punched flowers from Summer Starfruit, Primrose Petals, and Baja Breeze using the itty bitty shapes punch pack. I added a rhinestone to each flower center. I stamped the greeting on a strip of Whisper White in Midnight Muse and flagged both ends before adhering it to the bottom cupcake. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Perfectly Romantic

Good morning, Friends! We are heading home soon. The tournament was a great one even though it didn't end the way we would have liked. We won our first game yesterday 10-5 but lost the second game 5-2. So that meant we didn't advance to the championship. The boys played exceptionally well and had a great time! And it was fun to watch!! So now we head back home to get back to our routine. And Nick will be focusing on soccer. His summer is quickly coming to a close.

Today's card was inspired by one I saw in the recent Stamp It magazine. I liked how they stamped directly onto the designer paper. I love that effect but don't remember to do it. So I took a piece of designer paper from the Twitterpated pack and stamped the greeting from Perfectly Penned in Basic Grey. This is adhered to a piece of Whisper White and then to a piece of Basic Grey. I popped this panel up onto a card base of Whisper White. I added a strip of Riding Hood Red that has one end flagged. Then I stamped the floral image from Bordering on Romance in black StazOn onto a piece of Whisper White. I stamped this image twice and colored it with Baja Breeze, Island Indigo, Wild Wasabi and Riding Hood Red. I cut one image out completely and then on the second one I cut just the three big flowers. I added three brads. These are popped up onto the card. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Perfectly Penned, Bordering on Romance; Paper- Whisper White, Riding Hood Red, Basic Grey, Twitterpated designer paper; Ink- Basic Grey, black StazOn, Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red, Island Indigo, Wild Wasabi; Accessories- silver brads, dimensionals

Moving Forward at Midnight

Good morning everyone! I hope you are all having a super weekend! We arrived in South Jordan/Draper, Utah yesterday and the boys played two baseball games. They won both soundly (17-1 and 16-3)!! Woohoo!! Way to go!! We play two more today and then if we are the number one seed in our pool, we will play another game later tonight. Here's hoping they play as solidly as they did yesterday!! So fun to watch!

Today's card is one that I did for a recent swap I participated in. I just love this bike image in this set, Moving Forward. I got the color combination from the Color Coach. I wasn't too sure about putting these colors together but I think they look great! I punched two strips of More Mustard with the dotted ribbon scallop punch and adhered them to the back of a Whisper White panel and popped it up onto a card base of Midnight Muse. Then I flagged an end of a strip of Rich Razzleberry designer paper from the Polka Dot Parade dsp pack and adhered it to the Whisper White panel. I stamped the image from Moving Forward in Midnight Muse twice. One was punched out with the 2 1/2" circle punch and the other was used to cut the basket out. I stamped the flowers in Rich Razzleberry and then adhered the cut out basket over that. I added a flower that was punched with the itty bitty shapes punch pack from More Mustard. I added a mini brad and then adhered this to a scallop circle of Midnight Muse that was cut with the Perfect Pennants die. This is popped up onto the card. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

SFF 072012

Good Friday morning!! I am happy to bring you this week's challenge from the talented ladies at Sketch Frenzy Friday! This week's sketch was created by Maria Vanderform. Take a look!

I thought this to be a very interesting sketch and was excited to try something new (new to me)! Here's what I did!

I took a piece of Crumb Cake and stamped the border from Summer Silhouettes in Crumb Cake and the leaf image in Old Olive. This is adhered to a card base of Crumb Cake. Then I took another piece of Crumb Cake and punched a 2 3/8" scallop circle. I stamped the sentiment from Sweet Essentials in Rich Razzleberry. I added a border of Crumb Cake that was run through the Big Shot with the Fancy Fan embossing folder. I tied a piece of Rich Razzleberry stitched grosgrain ribbon around this and popped it up onto the card. Then I stamped the flower in Rich Razzleberry onto Whisper White and cut it out. This is popped up onto the card as well. I added a button with a rhinestone in the center and two other rhinestones.

FMS 44

Good morning, Friends! Are you looking for the Create with Connie and Mary challenge? It is Thursday but there is not a new challenge for this week. Connie and Mary along with several others from the design team are at the annual Stampin' Up! convention. So they are running the color challenge for another week. You can find all the information 'here'. There is still plenty of time to play along!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch from Freshly Made. I haven't played along with any challenges for a while and decided it was time to get back to it. So I jumped in with this fun sketch! And I kept it very simple!! I punched a 2 3/8" scallop circle from Crumb Cake and sponged the edges with Crumb Cake. This is popped up onto a piece of Crumb Cake that has a circle pierced using the Essentials Paper Piercing pack. Then I stamped the sentiment from Made for You in Raspberry Ripple. This panel is popped up onto a card base of Crumb Cake. I then added a butterfly from Raspberry Ripple with the Beautiful Wings embosslit and a stem from Old Olive with the Little Leaves sizzlet. My finishing touch was to punch a flower from Pretty in Pink with the itty bitty shapes punch pack and add a pearl. I just love these colors together! Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!!

One-Eyed Mummy

Good morning everyone! I hope your week is going just great! I didn't seem to get very much done yesterday. I guess I had better get in gear today as we will be leaving for a baseball tournament early on Friday. Should be a fun weekend! Tonight several of us are getting together to celebrate a friend's birthday. I am looking forward to that as we haven't seen her for a while! Becky is making her chicken and noodles! Yum!!!

Today's card was inspired from the latest Stamp It magazine. I am also showing a sneak peek of a stamp set from the new and upcoming Holiday mini catalog. I just loved this little Halloween set and it was the first on my list. My card base is Lucky Limeade with a piece of Basic Black that went through the Big Shot with the Spider Web embossing folder. Then I cut a piece of Lucky Limeade designer paper and rounded opposite corners. I added a piece of Pumpkin Pie patterned paper from the Polka Dot Parade designer paper pack and flagged one end. I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes before popping this panel up onto the card. Then I took some sticky strip and added my Basic Black taffeta ribbon. I stamped the mummy on a scrap of Whisper White in black StazOn and cut him out. He is popped up onto the card. My finishing touches were to add a few rhinestones and a googlie. The gogglies are new in the Holiday mini catalog and are meant to go with this set. Just love those!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Silhouette Friends

Good morning, Friends! I was glad that I could sleep in a little. It seems like I am having a hard time falling asleep so I am glad for a little extra in the morning. And Nick is trying to get a few extra 'z's in the this morning, too. My friend Becky let him have a ball of yarn and some knitting needles to practice some knitting. I had to re-learn as well so that I could help him. I think it was the blind leading the blind - lol! We just need to keep practicing! But he was so excited!! Need to do some stamping today so it should be a fun day!!

Today's card is another that was inspired by the recent magazine that I keep talking about. It is a great magazine!! I also love this new set, Summer Silhouettes! I stamped the border image in Crumb Cake onto Crumb Cake (with the help of my stamp-a-ma-jig). Then I tied a piece of Calypso Coral around it. This panel is popped up onto a card base of Calypso Coral. Then I cut a label from Crumb Cake using the Labels framelits and my Big Shot. I stamped the flower in Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral and the greeting from Sweet Essentials in Basic Black. This is popped up onto the card. I added three random rhinestones. Easy peasy!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Thank You Silhouettes

Good morning, Friends! I can't believe that we are starting another week! And we are on the downhill side of July? Time sure does seem to fly by! We have three busy weekends ahead of us and then school will be starting again. But don't tell my son! He is focused on having a super summer - lol! Yesterday I worked on knitting a cool spiral scarf. It turned out really neat! And it was pretty easy! I did have to start over quite a bit but once I got the hang of it, it went really fast! Now my son wants to learn to knit, too!

Today's card is another that was inspired by the recent Stamp It magazine. Another super simple one, too! I stamped the border image from Summer Silhouettes twice (with the help of the stamp-a-ma-jig) in Crumb Cake onto a piece of Crumb Cake card stock. Then I stamped the leaf image in Old Olive. I rounded the two side corners of the panel and the card base of Crumb Cake with the 1" circle punch and then adhered the panel to the card base. Then I stamped the flower in Raspberry Ripple onto a scrap of Very Vanilla and cut it out. I popped it up onto the card and added a rhinestone. Then I stamped the sentiment from Made for You in Raspberry Ripple onto a strip of Very Vanilla and flagged one end. This is tucked behind the flower. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Basically Moving Forward

Good morning, Friends! I hope your weekend is going great! My friends and I had a great time yesterday at the quilt show! It wasn't huge but there were some awesome quilts displayed! Wow!!! There are some very talented people out there! The person we went up there to see had an awesome booth, too! She was debuting her new patterns there! I didn't buy any right now as I have quite a few projects I can be working on, but I am looking forward to getting some of her patterns! They are really nice!!! Lunch and a few shops later we came home and called it a day! Very fun!!

Today's card was one that I did for a recent swap I participated in. The color scheme came straight from the Color Coach. I ran a piece of Whisper White through the Big Shot with the Chevron embossing folder and adhered it to a card base of Whisper White. Then I added a piece of Basic Grey. I tied a piece of Basic Grey stitched grosgrain ribbon around a piece of Summer Starfruit and adhered that to the card. The scallop circle is cut from Primrose Petals using the Perfect Pennants die. I punched a 2 1/2" circle from Whisper White and stamped the bike image from Moving Forward in Basic Grey. The flowers are stamped in Primrose Petals and then I stamped the basket part again and cut it out to adhere it over the first stamped one. I punched a flower from Summer Starfruit with the itty bitty shapes punch pack and adhered it to the bike tire with a mini brad. This circle is adhered to the scallop circle and then popped up onto the card. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Summer Friend

Good morning everyone! I hope you are having a great start to your weekend! There are lots of clouds out right now so I do hope we get some much needed rain!!! Last night all it did was sprinkle and make it very humid. And it's humid right now so bring on the rain!! I am getting ready to go to a quilt show in a nearby town with some wonderful ladies! I have never been to one and I am quite excited to see what it's about!

Today's card was inspired by one I saw in a recent Samp It! magazine. In fact, I made several cards that were inspired by that magazine. The card I saw had a stamped background but I decided to used designer paper instead. The designer paper is from the Summer Smooches collection and is adhered to a piece of Daffodil Delight and then popped up onto a card base of Island Indigo. Then I cut a strip of vellum card stock and flagged one end and adhered it to the card. For my focal point, I stamped the greeting from Friendly Phrases onto a piece of Whisper White that I had cut with the Apothecary Accents framelits in Island Indigo. Then I used my Essentials Paper Piercing pack and pierced an oval around it. As a finishing touch I punched a flower from Daffodil Delight with the itty bitty shapes punch pack and added a rhinestone. Very easy!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Friendly Phrases, Paper- Island Indigo, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Vellum, Summer Smooches designer paper; Ink- Island Indigo; Accessories- Apothecary Accents framelits, Essentials Paper Piercing pack, itty bitty shapes punch pack, rhinestone, dimensionals

SFF 071312

Good morning everyone! Happy Friday! Yea for the weekend!! Sketch Frenzy Friday has a new sketch for you! This week's sketch is provided by Kim Innis. Take a look!

Lots of fun elements on this one! I just noticed that I left one element out on the right side of the card. But this is what I came up with.

I cut some designer paper from the Summer Smooches collection and adhered it to a piece of Whisper White. I wrapped a piece of Rich Razzleberry stitched grosgrain ribbon around that. I adhered this to a panel of Rich Razzleberry and then popped it up on a card base of Whisper White. For the focal point, I used the Apothecary framelits to die cut a piece of Whisper White. I stamped the greeting from Friendly Phrases in Rich Razzleberry and then used the Paper Piercing Essentials pack to pierce inside the die cut. This is popped up onto a circle of Rich Razzleberry that was cut with the circles #2 die and then popped up onto a card. I punched a flower from Rich Razzleberry with the itty bitty punch pack and added a rhinestone.

Time to click 'here' to move on to Jennifer's blog to see what she did with this sketch. I hope you take some time this weekend to create a project using this sketch. Be sure to upload it to the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog so that we can all see! We just love to see what you do with our sketches! Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!!

CCMC 210

Good morning, Friends! Are you ready for another great challenge from the ladies at Create with Connie and Mary? This week they are challenging us with color! Take a look!

The colors of choice are Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Pool Party and So Saffron! Aren't they pretty!! Here's what I came up with!

A super simple card! I kept it simple so I could get all the colors to work together. I started by stamping the border image from Summer Silhouettes in So Saffron along the bottom of a Whisper White panel. Then I stamped the stem in Old Olive and the flowers in Cherry Cobbler. The greeting from Made for You was also stamped in Cherry Cobbler. Then I tied a piece of Pool Party seam binding ribbon around the panel and rounded the top two corners. I felt like it still needed a little something else so I took my Paper Piercing Essentials pack and used my piercer to pierce a circle around the flower to sort of highlight it. Then this panel is popped up onto a panel of cherry Cobbler which is adhered to a card base of Whisper White.

Be sure to visit the Create with Connie and Mary website to get more inspiration from the other fabulous designers. Then create your own project using the fabulous colors! We always love to see what you do! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

A Colorful Pattern

Good morning, Friends! Nick and I made it home on Sunday. Had a little delay but nothing major. It's good to be home again but I am missing the family. Can't wait to see them all again!! I wanted to post this card yesterday but our switch went out and I couldn't access the internet all day! We finally discovered the problem after dinner and quickly made a run to Best Buy to get another one. It appears to be up and working again! Yea!! I'm glad that was the only problem! Now it's time to get back to stamping! I should have some goodies coming today! Now to find some time - lol!!

Today's card was inspired by one I saw on CASE Study. Of course, I am using different stamps and colors but I am using the idea of a repeating image. And for all I know, she may have use designer paper. Anyway, with the help of my stamp-a-ma-jig, I took the image from Summer Silhouettes and stamped it repeatedly onto Crumb Cake card stock using Gumball Green, Midnight Muse and Raspberry Ripple. Then I wrapped a piece of Midnight Muse stitched satin ribbon around it. I punched a piece of Midnight Muse with the dotted ribbon scallop punch and adhered it to the side. This panel is popped up onto a card base of Crumb Cake. Then I stamped the greeting from Sweet Essentials in Midnight Muse along the side. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

SFF 070612

Good morning everyone! Are you glad it's Friday? I hope so because Sketch Frenzy Friday has another great sketch for you this week! This week's sketch was created by Jennifer Weide. Take a look!

Such a great clean and simple sketch! And that was perfect for me as I was trying to get myself ready for vacation! So here is what I came up with!

I kept my card clean and simple as well! I stamped the border image from Summer Silhouettes in Crumb Cake onto a piece of Crumb Cake card stock. Then I stamped the stem in Old Olive and the little towers in Midnight Muse. The flower part is stamped several times to make it appear a little more "full". Then I stamped the greeting from Made for You in Midnight Muse. Then I took a stencil from the Essentials Paper-Piercing pack and pierced a circle around the flower to highlight it. I thought that turned out pretty cool! You will be seeing that a lot more! Those stencils make it super easy to do!. Then I wrapped a piece of Midnight Muse around the panel. I popped this up onto the card which is made up of a base of Crumb Cake and a piece of Midnight Muse that has been run through the Big Shot with the Fancy Fan embossing folder. I added a butterfly of Midnight Muse that was run through the Big Shot with the Beautiful Wings embosslit and two rhinestones.

CCMC 209

Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a great 4th!! It's time again for this week's challenge at Create with Connie and Mary! This week we are being challenged with a sketch. Take a look!

What a fun sketch! So versatile and simple! I know that I will use this one again! Since I had the stamp set, Moving Forward, already out on my desk, I decided to use it here. So this is what I came up with.

I used my Color Coach to come up with these colors. The front of my card base is Marina Mist and I ran it through the Big Shot with the Chevron embossing folder. Then I added a piece of Summer Starfruit. On top of this I added two strips of designer paper from the Polka Dot Parade designer paper pack. Both of the ends of the strips had the ends flagged before adhering. Then I took a piece of Whisper White and stamped the image from Moving Forward in Marina Mist. I added a strip of Real Red card stock and then three silver brads before popping up this panel onto the card.

Be sure to visit the Create with Connie and Mary website for more inspiration! Then create your own project using this sketch. Remember that we are a SUO (Stampin' Up! Only) challenge. I can't wait to see what you come up with! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Pennant Party Hats

Good morning, Friends! I hope you are having a great week! My son and I are in Kansas visiting family. We got here on Sunday and will on the next Sunday. We are having a great time so far and today my brother and sister with her kiddos will be here, too! We had to come to Kansas to do any kind of fireworks as they are banned in Colorado (which is a good thing). So my son, the pyro - lol, is very excited! It is extremely hot here!

Today's card is one that I copied from the catalog. I really like how this came out! Such a fun card! I stamped the three pennants from Pennant Parade in Summer Startfruit, Primrose Petals, Midnight Muse and Baja Breeze. These were punched out with the Pennant builder punch and popped up onto a piece of Whisper White. Then I stamped the little stars in Primrose Petals, Summer Starfruit and Baja Breeze onto Whisper White and cut them out (this part was a little tedious). These are carefully adhered to the top of the party hats. Then I stamped the greeting from Sweet Essentials in Primrose Petals. I adhered the Whisper White panel to a piece of Midnight Muse and popped the whole panel up onto a card base of Whisper White. The final touch was to add three little rhinestones! Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!
