Honeycomb Thanks

Good morning everyone! Wow! Here we are at the last day of 2012! What a very fast year it has been! Do you all have New Year's Eve plans? We generally like to just be at home and go to bed early. But this year some friends of ours invited us over to play games and snack (like I need more food). Should be a fun time! Then we can sleep in and lounge around tomorrow.

Today's card is another that shows a peek of some of the new products! This card layout was inspired by the sketch at Paper Craft Crew Challenges. I made it quite a while ago that it won't be entered into the challenge but that's o.k. I really like how this turned out! I just love Crumb Cake and Midnight Muse together!! I ran a piece of Crumb Cake through the Big Shot with the Honeycomb embossing folder. Then I stamped the greeting from Oh, Hello in Midnight Muse onto a piece of Very Vanilla. This is adhered to a piece of Midnight Muse and popped up onto the Crumb Cake piece. Then I flagged one end of a piece of Print Poetry designer paper and adhered it to the Very Vanilla piece. I added three brads and then adhered this panel to a card base of Midnight Muse. I punched a 1 1/4" circle from Midnight Muse and adhered it to the card. Then I stamped the flower using Midnight Muse and Gumball Green markers onto Very Vanilla. I cut this out and popped it up onto the circle. Thanks for stopping by and have a super safe New Year's Eve!!!

Mini Butterflies

Good morning everyone! I am pre-posting this as I am in the mountains with no internet service. I want to get this posted early so I won't forget when I get home. We will be home later today. I hope you are all having a great weekend! I can't believe tomorrow is the last day of the year! Wow!!

Today's card uses some new product that will be available to the public soon! And this card is so super simple!!! I love it! I stamped the sentiment from Sweet Essentials in Rich Razzleberry onto Whisper White. Then I tied a piece of Pool Party ribbon around this. The ribbon is new and will be available during Sale-a-Bration. This panel is adhered to a piece of Rich Razzleberry and then popped up onto a card base of Pool Party. Then I punched three 1 1/4" circles from Rich Razzelberry and adhered them to the card. Then I used the new Bitty Butterfly punch to punch three butterflies from Pool Party card stock. Each of these has a mini brad and then is popped up onto the circles. Super simple! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day! Go Broncos!!

Winter Wishes Framed

Good morning, Friends! We made it home safe and sound yesterday! We made good time, too!! It is such a long drive and it felt so good to be at home again! Now we are headed to the mountains to have one last Christmas with Pat's parents! We will be spending the night there and then come home tomorrow. And then I can enjoy being at home again - lol! Nick is looking forward to enjoying time at home with no school!

I thought I had better post this card before the Winter mini catalog expires. One last card using the Winter Memories. And I do love how this one turned out! I also have quite a few of these bronze buttons to use. However, they all will not get used up before the end of the year. So I do hope they come back in the new catalog come June! I took a piece of Crumb Cake card stock and ran it through the Big Shot with the Tulip Frame embossing folder and then cut around it. I sponged the edges with Crumb Cake ink and then adhered it to a card base of Crumb Cake. Then I stamped the image from Winter Memories in Midnight Muse onto a piece of Crumb Cake and sponged the edges with Crumb Cake. This is adhered to a piece of Midnight Muse card stock and then popped up onto the card. I threaded some linen thread through the holes of a bronze button and tied a bow on the back side. This is tied to a folded piece of Victoria crochet trim and then adhered to the card. I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of Crumb Cake in Midnight Muse and flagged one end. I sponged the edges with Crumb Cake and tucked one end behind the button. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

SFF 122812

Good morning everyone! It's Friday and we are on the road back home. :( It will be a long drive for us. While we are driving I hope that you will enjoy our newest sketch from the Sketch Frenzy Friday team. This week's sketch was created by Sharon Wheet. Take a look!

So cute! Here is what I came up with!

I decided to use some new toys! Yay!! I also went a little monochromatic with this. And I love the way it turned out! I took a piece of Primrose Petals and ran it through the Big Shot with the Honeycomb embossing folder and then tied a piece of Very Vanilla seam binding ribbon around it before adhering it to a card base of Raspberry Ripple. Then I stamped the single stamp, Just Thinking, twice  - once in Raspberry Ripple and once in Primrose Petals. From the Primrose Petals one, I cut out the entire image. Yes, the Windows framelits dies will do this for you but I don't own them - yet... From the Raspberry Ripple one I cut out the inner circle. I did find out that we don't seem to have a punch for that. Anyway, I popped up the circle onto the image and then popped up the image onto the card. Then I punched several flowers using the Boho Blossoms punch in Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals and Very Vanilla. I wadded these up and adhered them together and then punched a hole in the middle to put my silver brad through. This is adhered to the image.

Don't forget to visit the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog to see what all the other fabulous designers did with this sketch! I hope that you will find time to play along this week! We always love to see what you do with our sketches! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

CCMC 232

Good morning everyone! Time once again for another super fun challenge from the Create with Connie and Mary team! This week we are being challenged with color! Take a look at these most beautiful colors!

Pool Party, Whisper White and Silver glimmer. Oooohh!! Aren't they so pretty!! I wasn't sure what I wanted to do but I knew I wanted to use some new toys!! So I turned to Valentine's Day. Take a look!

So I started with a piece of Whisper White and ran it through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. Then I added a strip of silver glimmer paper that was punched with the scallop edge border punch and a piece of Pool Party designer paper. I rounded the corners with the corner rounder and tied a piece of Pool Party ruffled ribbon around this before popping it up onto a card base of Whisper White. Then I stamped the lacy heart from Hearts a Flutter in black StazOn onto Pool Party. I used the coordinating framelits dies to cut it out. Then I popped it up onto the card. I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny wishes in Pool Party onto a strip of Whisper White and flagged one end. The other end is tucked behind a heart that was punched from silver glimmer paper using the small heart punch (which is also popped up onto the card).

Be sure to see what the other designers did with this color scheme by visiting the Create with Connie and Mary site. I hope you will be inspired to play along with us this week! We always love to see what you do! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

No. 1 Friend

Good morning, Friends! I hope you all had a most wonderful Christmas! We sure did! Even though we had opened all our gifts earlier in the week, we woke up to our stockings stuffed with goodies from Santa! As an adult, I still find that so much fun!! And for Nick that seems to be the best part of Christmas! I love it!! We had a big dinner and then lounged the rest of the day watching basketball games while dozing off and on. Then we finished the evening with a game. Today my nieces and nephew will be coming down and spending a little time with us before we have to leave on Friday. I have heard it has been snowing quite a bit at home!!

Today's card is a simple one using the Affection Collection stamp set. It turned out quite different than I had envisioned but it'll do. I took a piece of Very Vanilla and ran it through the Big Shot with the Honeycomb embossing folder and then adhered it to a piece of Basic Black. Then I tied a piece of Basic Black 1/8" taffeta ribbon around this and popped it up onto a card base of Primrose Petals. Then I stamped the frame image in black StazOn onto a piece of Very Vanilla. On top of this I stamped the oval burst image in Primrose Petals. I sponged this piece with Crumb Cake and adhered it to a piece of Basic Black. This panel is popped up onto the card. Then on a scrap of Very Vanilla I stamped the banner image in Pool Party and cut it out. I also sponged this with Crumb Cake and adhered it to the card. Then I stamped the word onto a scrap of Very Vanilla in black StazOn and punched it out with the Modern Label punch. I sponged this with Crumb Cake and popped it up onto the card. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! I pray that each of you has a very special and blessed day today!

My card today was created especially for today to show the reason of the season. I adhered a strip of champagne glimmer paper to a card base of Early Espresso. Then I used the Labels framelits dies to cut two sizes of frames from Very Vanilla. On the larger one I used the Festive Paper Piercing pack to pierce around the inside of the label. This is popped up onto the card. On the smaller one I stamped the image from Come to Bethlehem in Early Espresso. I also stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso. Then I sponged the edges with Crumb Cake and popped it up onto the card. I added a pearl to the star and called it done! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!!

Happy Christmas Tree

Good morning everyone! Well, tomorrow is Christmas! Are you all ready? We will be doing part two of our Christmas with my parents today. Since my sister has to work we will be going down to her place to have dinner and do gifts. Then we will go to their Christmas Eve service and then drive home. I am sad that we won't get to spend as much time with them. My brother drives home tomorrow and we will be going home on Friday. Geesh! It all goes by so quickly!! So I will enjoy today!

Today's card is another easy Christmas card. I will have to remember some of these easy ones for next year so I can get them made! This is also a good one to mail as it doesn't have any embellishments! I like the simplicity of it, too! I ran a piece of Cherry Cobbler through the Big Shot with the Chevron embossing folder and then popped it up onto a card base of Cherry Cobbler. Then I used my Ovals Collection framelits dies to cut an oval from Whisper White. This is also popped up onto the card. I stamped the tree from Scentsational Season in Gumball Green onto a piece of Whisper White and cut it out using the Holiday Collection framelits dies and popped it up onto the oval. I punched a star from silver glimmer paper using the Merry Minis punch pack and adhered it to the top of the tree. I stamped the greeting from More Merry Messages in Cherry Cobbler onto a strip of Whisper White and flagged both ends. This is adhered to the tree. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Frosty Friends Christmas

Good Sunday morning, Friends! I hope your weekend is going just great! We will be doing Christmas tonight with my brother and parents. A little unconventional but tomorrow we will drive to my sister's house to do Christmas there and then my brother has to go home on Christmas day. This is the first time that my brother's and sister's jobs have prevented us from doing Christmas all together. Yes, it's a bummer but at least we can see each other for a bit. And for that, I am very thankful!

Today's card uses the Frosty Friends single stamp. Such a cute stamp! There isn't much to this one but I wanted to use it for a Christmas card so here is what emerged. I took a piece of Whisper White and ran it through the Big Shot with the Northern Flurry embossing folder. Then I stamped the greeting from More Merry Messages in black StazOn. This is then popped up onto the card base of Whisper White. Then I stamped the image onto a piece of Whisper White in black StazOn and cut it out using the Ovals Collection framelits dies (these will be available in the new spring mini catalog to debut in January). I colored the image using Real Red, Old Olive, Sahara Sand, Pool Party, and Pumpkin Pie markers. Then I popped the oval up onto the card. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day! Go Broncos!!

Elegant Rejoicing

Good morning everyone! We made it to my parents' house yesterday! We are looking forward to a great time - as short as it will be! It's nice to have all the Christmas shopping/wrapping part done and to just sit back and wait for the big day! We will be going to my sister's house on Monday for our Christmas. So not too much going on until then. Just a lot of eating and playing games! And watching football (can't forget about that)!

So before I left home I wanted to make a bunch of cards to blog while I am gone. I also needed to get ahead on my design team cards. So I sat down and made a list of what could be Christmas cards and when I could start using my new products. This is one of the Christmas cards that I came up with. It uses Rejoicing With You and Elegant Eggplant. I kept it really simple. I embossed the top part of a piece of Elegant Eggplant with the Fancy Fan embossing folder and then I stamped the sentiment in Elegant Eggplant onto a piece of Elegant Eggplant. I took a strip of silver glimmer paper and punched the top with the scallop edge border punch and adhered it to hide the seam. I tied a piece of Whisper White taffeta ribbon around it and then adhered it to a piece of Whisper White. This is popped up onto a card base of Elegant Eggplant. Then I stamped the image in Elegant Eggplant onto Whisper White and cut it out. This is popped up onto the card. And there you have it! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good Friday morning everyone! It's Sketch Frenzy Friday time! This week's sketch was created by Robbie Rubala. Take a look!

Simple enough, right? Well, I struggled with what to do but here is what I finally came up with.

I decided to keep it very simple. I took a piece of Crumb Cake and cut it into three pieces. These pieces are adhered to a piece of Cherry Cobbler and then to a card base of Crumb Cake. Then I punched two Crumb Cake squares using the Postage Stamp punch and sponged the edges with Crumb Cake These are adhered to the card. I stamped the greeting from More Merry Messages in Cherry Cobbler. Then I punched two ornaments from Cherry Cobbler using the Merry Minis punch pack. These are popped up onto the squares. I tied bows using linen thread and adhered them to the ornaments. Then I added pearls and called it done!

Be sure to visit the Sketch Frenzy Friday site to see what the rest of the team did with this sketch! I do hope that you will be able to find some time to play along with us this week! We always love to see what you do with our challenges! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

CCMC 231

Good morning, Friends! I am here with the latest challenge from the Create with Connie and Mary team! This week we have a sketch challenge!

I decided to try to squeeze one more holiday card in before Christmas.

I thought it might be appropriate to make a Christmas/New Year's card. And Happy Hour is the perfect set for that! I got my color scheme from the Color Coach. I ran a piece of Baja Breeze through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder and adhered it to a piece of Whisper White. The top right hand corner of the white piece is rounded with the 1" circle punch. I added two gold brads and then popped this panel up onto a card base of Whisper White. Then I adhered a strip of Cherry Cobbler to cover the seam. I took a strip of Whisper White and used my 1 1/4" circle punch to round the top and make a sort of tag. I stamped the greeting in Cherry Cobbler onto the tag. The glasses were stamped in Baja Breeze and the champagne in More Mustard onto a scrap of Whisper White and cut out. I adhered the champagne to the inside of the glasses and popped up the glasses onto the tag. The tag is popped up onto the card. Then I tied some Cherry Cobbler baker's twine in a More Mustard button, then tied to a bit of Cherry Cobbler and then adhered to the top of the tag.

Have you visited the Create with Connie and Mary website to see the other beautiful creations? You are sure to be inspired!! I hope you will find some time this week to play along with us! We always love to see what you do with our challenges! Thanks for stopping by and have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

Christmas Lodge

Good morning everyone! Well, it did snow last night!! Finally!! I don't think we got quite as much as was predicted but there is still a little bit out there! And it is supposed to be cold tonight!! The wind did blow last night, too, and that made it seem even colder! So happy for the moisture! Nick was hoping that school would be cancelled for today but no such luck there. So today we need to spend some time getting ready to leave! Tomorrow after Nick gets out of school we are on the road headed east!!

Today's card is another of those that I did trying to get my mojo back up and going. I wanted to make as many Christmas cards as I could before the holiday came and went. So I pulled out the Christmas Lodge set and tried to come up with something a little different. I adhered a piece of designer paper from the Festival of Prints pack to a piece of Cherry Cobbler and then to a card base of Very Vanilla. Then I adhered a piece of Always Artichoke to the top of these panels. Then I stamped the tree in Always Artichoke onto River Rock and sponged the edges. This is popped up onto the card. I stamped the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler onto a strip of vellum and flagged both ends. This is adhered to the top layer. Looks like I could have done a better job of getting that centered. Maybe next time - lol! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Silent Tree

Good morning everyone! I hope your week is off to a great start! It seems as if we could get a "real" winter storm around our parts tonight! Woohoo!! We need the moisture SO bad and snow would be great for our ski resorts, too! And it would be great if it came tonight and tomorrow so that it would be done when we are ready to travel on Thursday! I sure do hope we have some white stuff on the ground when we wake up tomorrow! I did get some stamping done yesterday. Although, it did take me quite a while to get the mojo back in gear. Geesh! So I am hoping to finish that all up today and then move on to some sewing.

Today's card was one that I did yesterday while trying to push my mojo out of the box. Again, it is one of "those" cards where I couldn't figure out what else to do with it. So I layered a bit and called it done. I had seen where the words were just stamped without the other images and I thought that it looked really nice. So that is what I thought I would try here. I stamped the words from Evergreen in Gumball Green onto Very Vanilla and then adhered it to a piece of Gumball Green card stock. Then I took a small piece of designer paper from the Festival of Prints pack to make a tree stand. To the top I added a silver brad. This panel is popped up onto a piece of Very Vanilla that was run through the Big Shot using the Fancy Fan embossing folder and then adhered to a piece of Cherry Cobbler. Then I popped up the entire front of the card onto a card base of Very Vanilla. Very simply stated. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Winter Wishes

Good morning everyone! Is it really Monday all over again? Ugh! I am not ready for another Monday!! But this week will be short and "that" I am ready for!! I do have a lot that has to be done before then but if I stay focused, I can do it!

Today's card was one that did not turn out like I had planned. And then when I tried to to anything else to it, it just got worse. Ever have one of "those" days? So I stopped and just let it be. And then I went - well this looks just a like a card I made a few months ago. Oh well. It is what it is. I apologize and promise you, I will do better. I stamped the image from Winter Memories in Not Quite Navy onto a piece of Crumb Cake. Then I ran it through the Big Shot with the Northern Flurry embossing folder. I sponged the edges with Crumb Cake ink. Then I took a strip of Vellum card stock and stamped the sentiment in Not Quite Navy ink and wrapped it around the panel to adhere it. Then I ran a strip of Not Quite Navy through the Big Shot using the Tasteful Trim die and adhered it to the Vellum. I popped this panel up onto a card base of Crumb Cake. Then I added a few pearls to the snowflakes and called it done as I couldn't make anything else work. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Snow Buddy

Good morning, Friends! I hope your weekend is going just super! We decided to have our Christmas a little early as we will be leaving later this week and thought we should enjoy our gifts before we left! This will give us a few days to enjoy them and also be able to clean up the Christmas decorations before we leave. We are weird that way, I know. Seems wrong but since we won't be here... And I like to be able to come home to a house that is already picked up. Anyway, that's what we did last night and it was FUN!! We all were surprised and are enjoying our gifts! We will be packing the rest of the week and leaving town on Thursday.

Today's card was the last of the cards we did at stamp club this month. I loved how this turned out! I adhered a strip of Sahara Sand to a card base of Pool Party. Then I stamped the greeting from Snow Much Fun onto Whisper White using black StazOn. I rounded the one corner using the 1" circle punch. I punched a strip of Rich Razzleberry using the dotted ribbon scallop punch and adhered it to the back of the Whisper White piece. I wrapped a piece of Pool Party ruffled ribbon around this and then adhered this panel to the card. I stamped the image in black StazOn onto a piece of Whisper White and punched it out with the 2 1/2" circle punch. Then I colored it in with Pool Party, Rich Razzleberry, Tangerine Tango and Sahara Sand markers. This is adhered to a scallop circle of silver glimmer paper that was cut using the Perfect Pennants die and then popped up onto the card. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Affectionate Friend

Good morning, Friends! Ahhh!! The weekend is here! I was so glad to be able to sleep in! I haven't been sleeping well the last few nights so the sleep is really nice! It is really crummy looking outside. Cold and rainy. Not a lot of rain, mind you but there is a little moisture out there and we will take all we can get!! The mountains are covered in clouds so I am praying they are getting tons of snow!! My husband just built a fire and I have my computer and coffee so it is looking to be a great day!!

Today's card is another that my club did this month. A simple "grunge" type card that seemed to be a hit. I stamped the frame image from Affection Collection in black StazOn onto a piece of First Edition designer paper. Right over the top of that I stamped the oval image in Summer Starfruit. Then I stamped the word in Crumb Cake and sponged the dsp in Crumb Cake before adhering it to a piece of Basic Black. I wrapped a piece of Crumb Cake seam binding ribbon around this and popped it up onto a card base of Crumb Cake. Then I stamped the main word in black StazOn onto a piece of Crumb Cake and punched it out with the Modern Label punch. I sponged the edges with Crumb Cake and popped it up onto the card. I added two pearls and called it done! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning everyone! Are you glad it's Friday? I hope you are glad for another Sketch Frenzy Friday challenge! This week's sketch was created by Patrice Herrera. Take a look!

I apologize for the blurriness. When I uploaded the sketch to my post, it was really small. So I tried to enlarge it and it became blurry. But I think you can still see the main elements. I had fun with my card! Take a look!

I decided I wanted to use my new set, Affection Collection. I guess I wanted to take a break from Christmas cards. I will get back to them, I am sure but I thought I would have some fun with a totally different look! I took a piece of First Edition designer paper and gave it a rough look with some sponging and distressing. I tore the corner away and adhered a piece of Crumb Cake to the exposed corner which was sponged, too. I stamped the word with Crumb Cake. before adhering the panel to a piece of Basic Black. This panel is then adhered to a card base of Crumb Cake which was sponged with Crumb Cake. I Then took a piece of Crumb Cake and rounded the top with the 1 3/4" circle punch. I flagged the bottom end. And then I - you guessed it - sponged it with Crumb Cake! I used Crumb Cake ink to stamp the image in a random pattern and then I stamped the word in black StazOn. To the top of my tag I folded a piece of Crochet trim and adhered it to the top. Then I threaded some linen thread through the holes of a bronze button and tied a bow to the back side of it before adhering it to the trim. Then I popped the tag up onto the card. I stamped the wing/heart image onto Very Vanilla using black StazOn and cut it out. I also stamped it again using Cherry Cobbler and cut out just the heart. Again, all of these are sponged. I popped up the Cherry Cobbler heart onto the the first one and then popped up the whole image onto the tag.

More fabulous inspiration can be found on the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog! Be sure to check it out! I do hope you will be able to play along with us this week! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

CCMC 230

Good morning, Friends! Create with Connie and Mary have another fabulous challenge for us this week! They are challenging us with color. Take a look!

This week Connie and Mary want us to use the beautiful and most elegant combination of Very Vanilla and Champagne glimmer paper! Love it! And here is what I created!

I kept my card very simple and let the colors speak for themselves. I love that this would be a super card to mass produce for the holidays! I have several layers of Very Vanilla so let me take you through them. The top layer was run through the Big Shot using the Holiday Collections framelits dies. This is then popped up onto a piece of Champagne glimmer paper. Then this adhered to the second piece of Very Vanilla that was run through the Big Shot using the Fancy Fan embossing folder. I then adhered this to the third layer of Very Vanilla. The third layer was scored with the Simply Scored tool 1/8" from the edge to create a "frame". I also stamped the sentiment from More Merry Messages in Soft Suede at the bottom. Finally, I popped all of this up onto the card base of - you guessed it, Very Vanilla!

Find more inspiration using these fabulous colors by visiting the Create with Connie and Mary website. I hope that you will play along with us this week and show us your fabulous creations using these great colors! We always love to see what you do! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Wonderful Cocoa

Good morning everyone! We are trying to send our son back to school this morning. He is still complaining of a sore throat but I think he will make it. I don't want him to get too far behind in his school work. Especially now! So here's hoping that his day goes well. I need to get some stamping and sewing done, too. I have kind of fallen behind myself.

Today's card is another that we did in stamp club this month. A super simple one. I stamped the steam for the cocoa from the Scentsational Season stamp set in Sahara Sand onto a piece of Whisper White and then layered this onto a piece of Early Espresso. Then I stamped the cup in Pool Party and cut it out using the Holiday Collection framelits dies. I colored in the cocoa part of the cup with the Early Espresso marker. This is popped up onto the panel. Then the panel is popped up onto the card. I took a strip of designer paper from the Festival of Prints pack and flagged one end. The other end was tucked behind the panel. Then I stamped the greeting from Sweet Essentials in Early Espresso. The last thing I did was to add a rhinestone to the snowflake. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Happy Hour Birthday

Good morning everyone! Well, I guess we have a sick child. He stayed home yesterday and slept the entire day! He woke up for a few hours in the evening to eat a little and then pretty much slept until we made him go back to bed. And that is where he's at right now. It seems to be in his head and his throat hurts and he complains of being achy. So sleep will be the best thing right now. And because he is staying home, I got to sleep in a little, too! Woohoo! I just don't want to get any of that!!

Last night I had stamp club with a bunch of very fun ladies! Love those girls!! Anyway, this is one of the cards we made. I had always liked this Happy Hour stamp set but didn't get it right away. Then it went on sale during the Holiday Extravaganza and I quickly ordered it! Also, I wanted to stay away from doing holiday cards at the workshop because of Christmas being so close. This set is very versatile and can be used for a number of different occasions. So this is a birthday card. I adhered several pieces of designer paper from the Festival of Prints pack onto a piece of Island Indigo and then adhered this to a card base of Sahara Sand. Then I stamped the glass in Island Indigo onto a piece of Very Vanilla. The umbrella is stamped in Cherry Cobbler and the greeting in Early Espresso. This is adhered to a piece of Early Espresso. A small piece of Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon is taped to the back side and then the panel is popped up onto the card. I added several rhinestones to the bubbles and then a bigger rhinestone is off to the side. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Snowflake Blessings

Good morning, Friends! Another week is here - ugh! I'm not ready (yes, I am whining - lol). But here it is. So I guess I will rejoice and be glad!! After I have some coffee and wake up a bit - lol! I am excited as I get my haircut and I have a workshop! That will be fun! Nick is sure acting like he is getting sick. Not cool! He has basketball tryouts this week. And with the end of the quarter coming up, he has a projects that need finishing and tests that need taking. I am hoping that he can make it all day. I know the crud is going around. Ugh!!

Today's card was inspired by one that I have saved on my Pinterest board. I stamped the sentiment from More Merry Messages in black StazOn onto Whisper White. Then I attached this to a piece of silver glimmer paper that was punched with the scallop edge border punch. This is popped up onto a card base of Wisteria Wonder that has a piece of Pool Party designer paper adhered to it. Then I cut two snowflakes using the Snow Flurry die - one from silver glimmer paper and one from Whisper White. I punched a hole through both and inserted a Pool Party brad. These are popped up onto the card.

An Inspiring Day - Affection Collection

Good morning, Friends! Welcome to the RemARKably Inspiring blog tour! This month the RemARKable stampers group are going to show you all some great projects using the stamp set, Affection Collection. What a beautiful stamp set that is very versatile! I was excited to purchase this set but once I got it, I had some difficulty in trying to figure out how to use it - lol! I am more the clean and simple stamper and this set calls for the more shabby chic style. I love and very much respect those stampers who can easily do the shabby chic!! You all are my heroes!! So I went searching and studying the style of shabby chic. Then I went to work and this is what emerged! And I quite like it!

I took a piece of the First Edition designer paper and stamped images from the Affection Collection stamp set in black StazOn, Crumb Cake and Pool Party. Then I sponged the edges with Crumb Cake and roughed up the edges with some tearing and distressing. This is adhered to a piece of Basic Black. Then I wrapped a piece of Victoria crochet trim around this that was tinted with some Crumb Cake ink and a sponge. I popped this up onto a card base of Crumb Cake that was also sponged with Crumb Cake ink. I stamped the banner in Pool Party onto Very Vanilla and cut it out. This is tucked under the bronze button that is tied with some linen thread. Then I stamped the "friend" in black StazOn onto Primrose Petals and punched it out with the Modern Label punch and sponged it with some Crumb Cake ink and popped it up onto the card. The last thing left to do was to add two pearls and call it done!

Time to send you on to the beautiful blog of Tamra Davis! I know you will be inspired by what she has to share! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

FTL 219

Good morning, everyone! Oh it felt SO good to sleep in this morning! I know I am getting a much later start than usual but I so needed the sleep! I feel so rested and ready to start my day! And I do have a lot that I would like to do today!! I still need to get some more stamping done. So that is what I will probably focus on. Later this evening, Nick will have his first indoor soccer game. It's not really games that they do but rather just a chance to get out there and play. We will be going to Las Vegas in January for a tournament so that is something to look forward to!!

Today's card was inspired by last week's sketch from the Clean and Simple blog. I also tried to use some colors that I hadn't touched in quite a while. I took a piece of Whisper White and ran it through the Big Shot with the Northern Flurry embossing folder. Then I adhered it to a strip of Chocolate Chip then to a piece of Pool Party that was punched with the scallop trim punch. Then I popped up the entire panel onto a card base of Chocolate Chip. I stamped the image from Snow Much Fun in black StazOn onto a piece of Whisper White and colored him in with Chocolate Chip, Wild Wasabi, Pool Party and Pumpkin Pie markers. I carefully cut him out and popped up onto the card. Then I stamped the sentiment in black StazOn onto a strip of Whisper White and flagged the end. This is tucked behind the image. The last thing I did was to add a few rhinestones to the snowflakes. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!!

Good morning everyone! Thank goodness it's FRIDAY!! It's time for another challenge from the Sketch Frenzy Friday team. This week's sketch was created by Maria Vanderform. Take a look!

Pretty simple and straight forward. And I had fun creating with this one! Here is what I did with it!

I started out by stamping the greeting from More Merry Messages in black StazOn onto a piece of Always Artichoke. Then I tied a piece of Crumb Cake seam binding ribbon around this and popped it up onto a card base of Always Artichoke. Then I stamped the image from Snow Much Fun in black StazOn onto a piece of watercolor paper and watercolored the image with a variety of ink pads and an aqua painter. Then I used the scallop edge border punch on the side. I adhered this to a piece of Cherry Cobbler and then popped this up onto the card. Finally I added a strip of champagne glimmer paper.

For more inspiration visit the Sketch Frenzy Friday site to see what the other designers did with this sketch. I hope that you will play along with us! We always love to see what you do with our sketches! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

CCMC 229

Hello everyone! It's time for another Thursday challenge from the Create with Connie and Mary team! This week we have a sketch challenge! Take a look!

Such a fun sketch and I had a great time creating my card! I tried my very best to get away from the traditional Christmas colors and here is what I came up with!

I was still able to use the Festival of Prints and picked a fun print! So I started by adhering a piece of the Festival of Prints paper to a piece of Island Indigo and then tied a piece of Crumb Cake seam binding ribbon around this. This panel is then popped up onto a card base of Crumb Cake. I punched a 1 3/4" circle from Crumb Cake and then ran it through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder. This is adhered to a 2 3/8" scallop circle of Cherry Cobbler. Then I used the Essential Paper Piercing pack and punched an outline around the Crumb Cake circle. This is popped up onto the card. Then I stamped the image from Scentsational Season in Early Espresso onto Very Vanilla and used the Holiday framelits dies to cut it out. This is popped up onto the circle. I stamped the greeting from More Merry Messages in Early Espresso onto a strip of Very Vanilla and flagged the end. I tucked the other end behind the image. Then I added a heart that was punched from Cherry Cobbler with the Owl builder punch and a little rhinestone.

Be sure to visit the Create with Connie and Mary website to see what the other designers did with this fabulous sketch! I hope you get inspired and find some time to play along with us! We always love to see what you come up with! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

CAS(E) This #7

Good morning, Friends! It was a little hard for me to get up this morning. I am looking forward to the weekend when I can sleep in a little! As I look forward to the weekend, I realize that I will be a little busy and I there are things that need to be done before that. So that means I had better get focused and make sure those things get done before that!!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch. I am too late to play along but I really liked how this card turned out! I actually tried an experiment! First I took a strip of Crumb Cake and used my Whisper White craft pad to swipe the edges. Then I adhered a strip of Island Indigo that had been punched with the scallop edge border punch. This is adhered to a card base of Crumb Cake. This I stamped the greeting from Snow Much Fun in black StazOn and added two strips of designer paper from the Festival of Prints (the bottom strip has a corner rounded). Then I stamped the image in black StazOn onto a scrap of Crumb Cake and used a blender pen to color him in. Here is my experiment... I used the blender pen with my Whisper White craft pad to color his body!! I really like the way it came out!! Probably not new to you all but I was excited!! Anyway, I used Early Espresso, Island Indigo, Pool Party and Pumpkin Pie to color him in. Then I carefully cut him out. He is popped up onto the card and a rhinestone is added to his hat. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Snow Much Fun; Paper- Crumb Cake, Island Indigo, Festival of Prints designer paper; Ink- black StazOn, Early Espresso, Island Indigo, Pool Party Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White craft pad; Accessories- scallop edge border punch, corner rounder, blender pen, rhinestone, dimensionals

Festive Rejoice

Good morning, Friends! What a busy day yesterday turned into! I got a lot of laundry done and even some stamping and sewing. But I still have a lot to do!! And I am always finding more - lol! But at least our evenings are a little more calm at the moment. No sports activities for a while. We get to enjoy time together at home. I can definitely tell that Nick is restless - lol!

Today's card was inspired by a card I saw on the Hero Arts blog. I thought the layout was fun. I seem to be using the more traditional Christmas colors for most of my Christmas cards. That's o.k. but I would like to try and change it up a bit. Might have to work on that this morning. For this card I took a piece of designer paper from the Festival of Prints pack and adhered two strips of Gumball Green that were punched with the dotted ribbon scallop punch. This panel is then adhered to a card base of Very Vanilla. Then I used the Apothecary Accents framelits dies to cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler and adhered this to the card. I stamped the sentiment from Rejoicing with You in Cherry Cobbler onto a piece of Very Vanilla and adhered this to the frame. Then I stamped the image in Cherry Cobbler onto Very Vanilla and cut it out. I popped this up onto the card. Finally, I added two pearls to the frame. Pretty simple!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Cocoa Cheer

Good morning, Friends! Well, I am not ready to start another week. It was really hard for me to get up this morning and it is really hard for me to keep my eyes open while typing this. But I must go on - lol! Lots to do today. Still need to keep sewing and then there is the endless pile of laundry. At least the Broncos won yesterday! That was fun!!

Today's card was inspired by one I had saved on my Pinterest board. A super clean and simple layout. Love it! I stamped the sentiment from Sweet Essentials in black StazOn onto a piece of Whisper White. Then I stamped the steam from the Scentsational Season in Sahara Sand. I rounded the top right hand corner with the 1 1/4" circle punch and tied a piece of Raspberry Ripple stitched satin ribbon around it. I used the scallop edge border punch to punch a strip of Old Olive and then adhered it to the back of the Whisper White panel. This panel is then popped up onto a card base of Whisper White. Then I stamped the cup in Raspberry Ripple onto a scrap of Whisper White and cut it out by hand. This is popped up onto the card and a rhinestone was added to the middle of the snowflake. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Noel Squares

Good morning everyone! I hope your weekend is shaping up to be a great one! Looks like another warm sunny day here. Normally that would make me happy (and it probably does for a lot of people around here) but my husband just showed me a picture of what one of our lakes looks like right now. NOT good!! You can walk right out into the middle of it! Yikes!! If we don't get a real winter around these parts we are going to be in a serious drought condition!! I am even afraid that our ski resorts are not going to have any snow for skiing. It's starting to get scary!! I really hope it snows a lot!!!

Lately I have been in a sort of creative slump. I have been doing so much sewing because I just haven't felt very creative. But I really needed to get some stamping done so I turned to my Pinterest boards and found a few to "alter". This is one of them. This didn't turn out quite like I had planned but it will work. I punched a strip of Cherry Cobbler with the dotted ribbon scallop punch and adhered it to the back of a piece of Crumb Cake. This is then adhered to a card base of Crumb Cake. Then I punched five Cherry Cobbler squares using the 1 3/8" square punch. To each of these I adhered squares of patterned paper from the Festival of Prints pack that were punched with the 1 1/4" square punch. These squares are popped up onto the card. Then I stamped the sentiment from Greetings of the Season in Cherry Cobbler. I added a star that was punched from champagne glimmer paper using the Merry Minis punch pack and put a pearl on top. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Greetings of the Season; Paper- Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Festival of Prints designer paper, champagne glimmer paper; Ink- Cherry Cobbler; Accessories- dotted ribbon scallop punch, 1 1/4" square punch, 1 3/8" square punch, Merry Minis punch pack, pearls, dimensionals

Happy Hour Christmas

Good morning everyone! And happy December! The last month of the year and only 24 more days till Christmas!! There is only two presents under our tree. Yikes! I had better get going if I plan to have something for everyone on my list - lol! Last night I worked on one of my gifts to some friends of ours. Not too much more and it will be done. I have four more in the works. And then there is all the shopping that must be done, too. Starts to add up and feel a little overwhelming. I need to remind myself to just enjoy each day as it comes. :)

Today's card was quickly made for posting purposes - lol! I had just gotten this stamp set, Happy Hour. It was on the Online Extravaganza that Stampin' Up! had last week. I had been wanting this set and thought it was a great time to get it at a discount! And it just came so I put this together using the card from page 178 of the catalog. I stamped the greeting from Happy Hour in black StazOn onto the printed paper from the Festival of Prints pack. And it is very hard to see, especially from the angle that the picture was taken. This is adhered to a card base of Very Vanilla. On top of this is a strip of Early Espresso that has the bottom flagged. Then I cut a piece of Very Vanilla using the Apothecary Accents framelits dies. I adhered a strip of champagne glimmer paper with both ends flagged to this and then popped up it up onto the card. I stamped the glass in Early Espresso onto Very Vanilla and cut it out. I popped this up onto the tag. I stamped the inside of the glass in Cherry Cobbler and cut this out. This is adhered to the glass. Then I used the Gumball Green and Cherry Cobbler markers to stamp the holly. I also cut this out and adhered it to the glass. Then I added a small rhinestone to the holly berry. Lots of cutting on this one but it did come together fairly quickly. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!
