TSSC 269

Good morning, Friends! What a great weekend it has been around here! A friend came to visit and we were able to surprise our friends Becky and Emily and extend Becky's birthday just a bit longer!! My son has spent three nights at his friend's house so my husband and I were able to have a really nice dinner last night for our anniversary which happens to be today! And today is also my father-in-law's 80th birthday! We will be heading up the mountain for a small celebration later this morning! Then tomorrow morning Nick and I will be leaving for Kansas to visit my family and have a wild Fourth of July party!! I can't believe that June is over! Just reminds me to enjoy everyday!

  • Use corner rounder to round corner and the Essentials paper piercing pack to pierce a circle around image

CAS(E) This Sketch 33

Good morning, Friends! I hope you are ready for a great weekend! It's the last one of June! Where did this month go? I just can't believe how fast time flies! Monday my son and I leave for Kansas to see family and then my husband will be joining us there on Wednesday. We are so excited!! We love to do fireworks and Colorado has banned them (and for good reason) so we like to go some place where there is no ban. Yes, I guess my son is a little pyro - lol!! This is almost as good as Christmas for him! So I do need to start thinking about getting the laundry done and the packing started! Yikes!!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch. It was last week's sketch but I really liked it! Nice and simple and I kept mine very clean as well! I love grey and yellow so I stuck with Daffodil Delight and Smoky Slate and of course, lots of Whisper White. Card details:

  • Card base is Whisper White
  • Layer is Whisper White that was run through the Big Shot with the Modern Mosaic embossing folder
  • Punch a strip of Daffodil Delight with the dotted ribbon scallop punch and adhere to back of embossed panel then pop up onto card
  • Stamp greeting from Sweet Essentials onto card
  • Stamp mosaic image from Mosaic Madness three times onto Whisper White using Smoky Slate ink, punch out with mosaic punch and pop up onto card
  • Punch three flowers from Daffodil Delight card stock using itty bitty shapes punch pack and adhere to mosaic centers
  • Add rhinestones to flower centers

Paper Players 151

Good morning, Friends! This last week of June seems to be flying by! Nick has had a lot of soccer going on and we seem to be running into town several times a day. Sure keeps one busy!! I haven't even cooked dinner at home all week! I think I might be able to tonight but now I need to figure out what we might want - lol! If I can get that figured out I can go to the store while Nick is at camp this morning and time it just right so that when I'm done shopping he's done at camp and then we go straight home so nothing spoils in this heat!! Guess I had better start thinking...

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Paper Players. Not sure how I feel about this one. I thought the sketch was unique and fun but I what I visualized didn't quite come through on this card. But here it is! Card details:

  • Card base is Basic Grey
  • Layer of Basic Grey run through the Big Shot using the Framed Tulip TIEF and then adhered to card base

Hexie Friend

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is off to a great start! Boy the wind blew yesterday! Geesh!! I looked outside this morning and noticed that we have several big branches down in the yard. Sometimes I wonder how this house doesn't blow away! I do hope it is calmer today.

Today's card was inspired by the challenge at CAS-ual Fridays. Actually it was inspired by the first card from the design team. The theme for the challenge is "over the edge". It's hard to see in the photo but my sentiment does go over the edge of the first layer. Anyway, Lorena's card was just so unique and colorful and I just fell in love with it! So off I went to try and recreate it with my Stampin' Up! supplies! Here are the card details:

  • Card base is Whisper White
  • Layer of Whisper White
  • Punch five strips using the dotted ribbon scallop punch from Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana and Pink Pirouette
  • Adhere these strips to Whisper White layer and pop the panel up onto the card
  • Punch 3/4" circle from Basic Black card stock then use the hexagon punch to punch out shape
  • Stamp sentiment from Six-Sided Sampler onto strip of Whisper White in black StazOn
  • Slip strip through the punched shape and adhere together then pop this up onto card
  • Punch flower from Calypso Coral using itty bitty shapes punch pack, adhere to card and add a rhinestone to flower center
There you have it!! A simple card! I just love the colors on this and the impact of the black! Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Freshly Made 91

Good morning, Friends! I hope you all had a great weekend! Yesterday was very nice for me! I did manage to get a few cards made and a swap finished up ready to mail. Seemed like it took me a while to get my cards made. My mojo wasn't coming together as quickly as I would have liked. And it sounds like my guys had a great time fishing! They even caught a few! Now here we are at another Monday and it's time to get some things done around the house. More laundry! Ugh!!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made. I ended up turning it on it's side. And I like how it turned out! It seems like when the new In Colors come out that the other colors get a little neglected. So I found a color combination using Raspberry Ripple. Here are the card details:

  • Card base is Crumb Cake
  • Layer of Crumb Cake that has splotches stamped from Gorgeous Grunge in Crumb Cake and then sponged with Crumb Cake
  • Punch a strip of Raspberry Ripple with the scallop edge border punch and adhere to back of layer
  • Cut leaves from Old Olive using Little Leaves sizzlet
  • Stamp flower from Flower Shop in Raspberry Ripple onto Whisper White and punch out with Pansy punch
  • Adhere leaves to back of flower and pop up onto layer
  • Stamp sentiment from Petite Pairs in Raspberry Ripple onto layer and then pop layer up onto card
  • Punch a flower from Pink Pirouette with Boho Blossoms punch, adhere to flower center and add a rhinestone
  • Fold a length of Pink Pirouette taffeta ribbon in half, thread white baker's twine through a vintage faceted button and around the ribbon and tie a bow
  • Trim ribbon to desired length and adhere to card
And there you have it! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Flower Shop, Petite Pairs, Gorgeous Grunge; Paper- Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Raspberry Ripple, Pink Pirouette; Ink- Crumb Cake, Raspberry Ripple; Accessories- Pink Pirouette taffeta ribbon, white baker's twine, vintage faceted button, Boho Blossoms punch, Pansy punch, Little Leaves sizzlet, scallop edge border punch, rhinestone, sponge, dimensionals

Gorgeous Hexagons

Good morning, Friends! I hope you are all having a fabulous weekend! I was so thankful that I could sleep in! Now I'm here, blogging with a very tasty cup of coffee! Life is good!! Sounds like my men are going to go fishing today so that means I will be by myself today - yea!! I will be trying to get some stamping done and I'll probably do some stitching as well. Who knows but it will be delightful!!

Today's card was the last one I did with my stamp club. I really liked the way this one turned out! After looking and browsing blogs and websites and other pictures, I came up with my own layout for this one. Here are the card details:

  • Card base is Crumb Cake
  • Layer of Crumb Cake that has been sponged with Crumb Cake
  • Stamp spots and lines from Gorgeous Grunge in Crumb Cake onto Crumb Cake layer
  • Adhere strip of designer paper from Epic Day designer series paper pack with end flagged
  • Stamp greeting from Six-Sided Sampler in Basic Grey and add two mini brads
  • Pop layer up onto card
  • Using the hexagon punch, punch five hexagons from Epic Day designer paper and sponge edges
  • Adhere to card (three are adhered flat and two are popped up)
And there it is! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!!

Curry Flower

Good morning, Friends! I made it to the weekend! This weekend our town is hosting a Country Jam. In the 23 years that I have lived here, I have never been to Country Jam. I do like country music but not the crowds, heat and drunks. So I just try to stay away from all of that and before you know it, the festival is over and we return to our normal town! Well, this weekend, our soccer team was supposed to work the I.D. tent and there were not enough people to cover all the spots. So I got asked to help out. And being the nice person that I am :) I said yes. Thankfully we were under a nice shade tree and tent! We were away from most of the crowd and we only dealt with very few drunks. It was actually kind of fun! I had a lot of fun people watching. Wow! Very interesting people!! And today I get to spend the day stitching but tomorrow I look forward to just being lazy!!

Today's card was one that I did with my stamp club this month. I got the idea from the new catalog. I loved the layout and these colors are so fun and happy!! Here are the card details:

  • Card base is Whisper White with bottom corners rounded
  • Coastal Cabana layer with top corners rounded
  • Strip of Crushed Curry punched with dotted ribbon scallop punch and then adhered behind Coastal Cabana layer.
  • Stamp greeting from Perfectly Penned in Coastal Cabana and then pop up panel onto card
  • Strip of Pumpkin Pie designer paper from Polka Dot Parade pack, flag bottom and adhere to card
  • Stamp flower from Mixed Bunch in Crushed Curry onto Whisper White, punch out with Blossom punch and pop up onto card
  • Stamp flower center in Pumpkin Pie and punch out with 3/4" circle punch
  • Add a brad to flower center and pop up onto card
And there it is! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Mixed Bunch, Perfectly Penned; Paper- Whisper White, Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry, Polka Dot Parade designer paper; Ink- Crushed Curry, Coastal Cabana, Pumpkin Pie; Accessories- Blossom punch, 3/4" circle punch, dotted ribbon scallop punch, corner rounder, silver brad, dimensionals

FTH 22

Good morning, Friends! It's "hump" day! Lol!! I just love that GEICO commercial where that camel goes around asking everybody at the office what day it is today. Have you seen that one? I love the voice of that camel! He just makes me laugh every time! Silly, I know. So now whenever I think of Wednesday as being "hump" day I hear that camel! Looks like I still have laundry on the agenda. And I need to get some more stamping done. With Nick out of the house, I should be able to get a lot done!!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Designed to Delight. They post a new sketch twice a month and I still managed to miss the deadline. Oh well. I still like how it turned out! Here are the details:

  • Pear Pizzazz card base
  • Pear Pizzazz layer run through the Big Shot with the Adorning Accents edgelits, then sponged
  • Gingham Garden designer paper layer
  • Sentiment from Morning Meadow stamped in Pear Pizzazz onto Very Vanilla then layered to Island Indigo with two mini brads then popped up onto card
  • Image from same set stamped in Island Indigo onto Very Vanilla then cut out and popped up onto card.
Fairly simple card! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Honeycomb Hex

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is off to a fabulous start! Yesterday Becky and I went to Montrose to check out a quilt store. Turns out we drove all that way to find out it is closed on Mondays. Bummer!! I was really looking forward to seeing it! So we had a nice lunch and then stopped in Delta on the way home and managed to find a few things to buy. Guess we will have to plan another trip to see it! Today I will be focusing on the laundry and working hard to get that caught up! I have let it get out of hand - yikes!

Today's card was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest. I stamped the splotches from Gorgeous Grunge in Smoky Slate onto a piece of Smoky Slate and sponged the edges in Smoky Slate. This is popped up onto a card base of Smoky Slate. Then I ran a piece of Pistachio Pudding through the Big Shot with the Honeycomb TIEF. This is adhered to the card. I stamped the image from Six-Sided Sampler in Strawberry Slush onto Whisper White and cut around it. This is adhered to a hexagon that was punched from Smoky Slate using the hexagon punch. I popped this up onto the card. The sentiment is stamped onto a strip of Whisper White using Smoky Slate and then adhered to the card. I added a rhinestone to finish it off! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Fab Friday 19

Good morning, Friends! Wow! Another Monday has rolled around! I want to shout out a "Happy Birthday" to my good friend, Becky!! She and I will be heading out to Montrose to check out the quilt shop later this morning. Should be a fun adventure! I haven't had a chance to get there yet so this will be new for me! I hope we find something fun and exciting - lol!

Today's card was inspired by last week's sketch at Fab Friday. It is definitely a fun one so I don't know why it took me so long to do something with it! Anyway, I took my colors from the Color Coach. I thought they were really pretty! Sahara Sand, Wisteria Wonder and Pool Party - love it!! I ran a piece of Wisteria Wonder through the Big Shot with the Woodgrain TIEF and then adhered it to a card base of Sahara Sand. Then I punched a circle from Pool Party with the 2 1/2" circle punch. I don't even know why I did this, because you can't even see it, but I added some splotches (stamp from Gorgeous Grunge) onto the circle by using Pool Party ink (stamping off first). I just thought it needed it and in real life you can see them - lol! Then I sponged the edges of the circle with Pool Party ink. The circle is popped up onto the card. Then I stamped the flower from Flower Shop in Wisteria Wonder onto Whisper White and punched it out with the Pansy punch. This is popped up onto the card. I stamped the greeting from Four You in Sahara Sand onto a strip of Sahara Sand and flagged one end. This is popped up onto the card, too. Finally, I added a vintage faceted button with some white baker's twine tied in it. Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

Layered Doilies

Good morning, Friends! And Happy Father's Day to all those special guys in our lives! We have already started our day off just super as we slept in! Ahhh!! That was really nice! It's cloudy and overcast so it is not quite as hot as it has been. Just wish we could get the rain that we really need! We will be going out for a nice dinner at one of Pat's favorite places - yum! Can't wait for that! Then we have to watch the NBA finals!!

Today's card was inspired by one in the new catalog. I don't have the set that they used so I substituted the Delicate Doilies. I haven't used this set in a long while and thought it was time! I used my Color Coach to help me with the colors on this. So I started by embossing a piece of Crumb Cake with the Chevron TIEF and then adhering it to a card base of Crumb Cake. Then I stamped the largest doily from Delicate Doilies in Melon Mambo onto Whisper White and punched it with the 2 1/2" circle punch. This is popped up onto the card. The second doily is stamped in Rich Razzleberry and punched with the 1 3/4" circle punch and then popped up onto the card. The third doily is stamped in Crisp Cantaloupe and punched with the 1 3/8" circle punch. I put a silver brad into the center before popping this up onto the card. Then I stamped the sentiment from Four You in Rich Razzleberry onto a strip of Crisp Cantaloupe and flagged the end. The other end is tucked behind the doilies! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Delicate Doilies, Four You; Paper- Crumb Cake, Crisp Cantaloupe, Whisper White; Ink- Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Crisp Cantaloupe; Accessories- Chevron TIEF, 2 1/2" circle punch, 1 3/4" circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, silver brad, dimensionals

Smoky Hex

Good morning, Friends! It's another fabulous and hot day here! Lots of fires being reported in our state of Colorado. I just recently heard about one that is on our side of the mountains (the Western Slope). Sure hope we get the much needed rain soon! Nick spent the night with a friend last night so I will pick him up today and then we need to do a little Father's Day shopping!

Today's card uses some new product that I had fun experimenting with. I wanted to see how easy it was to line up the stamps without a stamp-a-ma-jig. And I managed quite nicely! First I adhered a piece of Basic Black to card base of Smoky Slate. Then I used the hexagon punch to punch out the shape from a piece of Smoky Slate. I sponged the inside edges of the punched shape. Then I stamped the outline hexagon image from Six-Sided Sampler a few times around the punched shape in Smoky Slate. I also stamped it onto another scrap piece of Smoky Slate. I figured out where the scrap piece would go and adhered that to the Basic Black. Then I tied some 1/8" Basic Black ribbon around the panel and popped it up onto the card. I stamped the greeting in black StazOn and added a flower that was punched from Strawberry Slush with the itty bitty shapes punch pack. This is adhered to the card and a rhinestone added. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

SFF 061413

Good morning, Friends! Thank goodness it's Friday! And here I am with another fabulous sketch from the Sketch Frenzy Friday team! This week's sketch was created by Sharon Wheet! Take a look!

I had a made a card earlier this week pretty similar to this so I decided to use the same idea but switch it up a bit and here is what evolved!

I'm having fun with that lobster! And I thought it would make a great Father's Day card! On a piece of Crumb Cake I stamped the coral image from By the Tide in Crumb Cake and then the whole piece got sponged with Crumb Cake. I put a piece of Washi tape down and then adhered the panel to a card base of Crumb Cake. I stamped the coral image again onto a piece of Very Vanilla in Crumb Cake and made it lighter by stamping it off the card stock first. This panel is also sponged with Crumb Cake and then popped up onto the card. I stamped the lobster in Calypso Coral and cut it out. It is popped up onto the card. Then I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Basic Grey onto a strip of Very Vanilla and flagged one end. This is adhered to the lobster. I stamped the anchor image in Pool Party onto Very Vanilla and cut around the circle. I added a mini brad and popped it up onto the other side of the greeting.

Be sure to check out the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog to see what the other designers did with this sketch! I hope to see your creations uploaded to the site this week, too! We sure do love to see what you all do! Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

Good morning, Friends! I am excited to show you this week's Create with Connie and Mary challenge! It's a color challenge! And take a look at these beautiful colors!

Island Indigo, Summer Starfruit, and Early Espresso! And here is what I came up with!

I used the CAS(E) This Sketch from last week to help me make this! So with all the new stuff I got I had to go and use an "old" stamp - lol!! I stamped the flourish from Everything Eleanor in Early Espresso onto Early Espresso and then punched the bottom using the scallop edge border punch. I added a strip of Island Indigo and then tied a piece of Summer Starfruit around this before adhering it to a card base of Very Vanilla. Then I stamped the label image onto Very Vanilla using Summer Starfruit and fussy cut it out. I used the flourish stamp again and "strategically" stamped it onto the label with Early Espresso. The label is popped up in just the right place onto the card. I stamped the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Early Espresso and flagged the end. This is adhered to the label. Then I stamped the bird in Island Indigo and fussy cut this out, too. It is popped up onto the card.

Be sure to see what the other designers did with these fabulous colors by visiting the Create with Connie and Mary site! I hope to see all your wonderful creations uploaded there this week! TSSC 266 and LNS 224

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is going great! It's just been plain HOT around here! And yesterday the wind blew. Yuck!! Hot wind is not fun and can make one grumpy. But I was lucky enough to be indoors with air conditioning and stitching all day long with some very wonderful ladies! Today is more of the same so I think that I will try to get the laundry done and maybe some stamping? I have a headache right now so I am trying to get that under control.

Today's card was another that we did at Stamp Club this month. I really love how this turned out! I used last week's sketch from Mary Jo's Lunchtime challenge and the LNS challenge to make a masculine card. I also challenged myself to use this lobster from By the Tide. This image did not "speak" to me when I got this set but I wanted to find a way to use it that wasn't so "in-your-face". I think I didn't like it so much because it was so big. But I am very happy with this! To start with I ran a strip of Smoky Slate through the Big Shot using the Chevron TIEF and then sponged the edges with Smoky Slate before adhering it to a card base of Smoky Slate. Then I used a stamp from the Gorgeous Grunge set (LOVE this set) and stamped the spots in Smoky Slate. This is then adhered to a piece of Calypso Coral that was punched on the side with the scallop edge border punch. I popped up this panel onto the card. Then I took a small strip of Soft Sky and flagged the bottom and adhered it to the card. I stamped the circle image from By the Tide in Smoky Slate onto Very Vanilla and fussy cut around it (I didn't want all the space around it that the punch leaves behind) and added a mini brad. This is popped up onto the card. I stamped the lobster image in Calypso Coral onto Very Vanilla and fussy cut around this (at my workshop a lot of the ladies just stamped this directly onto the Very Vanilla and it looked beautiful, too). This is popped up onto the card. Lots of cutting but I thought it turned out to be a very elegant masculine card! No greeting on this as it could be used for lots of occasions! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

CAS(E) This Sketch 30

Good morning, Friends! I have been wanting to post since Sunday but my phone (which is what I use to take all my pictures) and my computer would not talk to each other. I was having trouble downloading my pictures onto my computer. So I need to retake some pictures and try again. No big deal but that's why I was MIA for a couple of days. Yesterday really warmed up! Oh my!! But it is summer so I guess we had better get used to it! Today is more of the same but I get to go stitch at Laura's today and I am so excited! I love to spend time with the ladies there and chat and work on projects! Too fun!!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch from last week at CAS(E) This Sketch. I stamped the greeting from Four You in Island Indigo onto a strip of Whisper White. Behind this strip I adhered three pieces of Gingham Garden designer paper that were flagged at the bottom. This is then adhered to a piece of Whisper White that was embossed with the Woodgrain TIEF. This panel is popped up onto a card base of Whisper White. I stamped the flower image from Flower Shop in Daffodil Delight onto a piece of Whisper White and punched it out with the Pansy punch I added two leaves that I punched from Pear Pizzazz using the 1 1/4" circle punch. The brad is from the discontinued In Colors (it was the only thing I had for my flower center). The flower is then popped up onto the card. Clean and simple! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Mosaic Coastal

Good morning, Friends! Are you all ready for a great weekend? I'm not quite sure what's on the schedule for us today but I do hope it's relaxing and that we can stay cool! I do need to get some stamping and sewing done so I should stay pretty cool! I feel like the summer is already going by way too quickly! I also need to make a goal to update my sewing blog. Geesh! I haven't given that any attention in almost a year! And I do have a lot of projects to share! Guess I had better get on top of that!

Today's card was inspired by one I saw in a Stampin' Success magazine. This is a magazine that demonstrators get once every two months. It is filled with all kinds of ideas for your business as well as beautiful projects. This magazine was a few months old but I still got the idea for this card from it. Love how you can swap stamp sets and colors and get a new card!! Anyway, This card features some new goodies! So I am in LOVE with the new In Color Coastal Cabana! SO pretty! I used the new Color Coach to come up with the color combo on this. I stamped the long image from Mosaic Madness in Coastal Cabana onto a piece of Coastal Cabana card stock and then the sentiment from Four You in Coastal Cabana right under that. Above the image I used the Essentials paper piercing pack to pierce a line of holes. Then this panel is popped up onto a card base of Coastal Cabana. Then I stamped the mosaic image onto a piece of Very Vanilla using the new Smoky Slate ink (LOVE this color, too). I punched it out with the mosaic punch. This is popped up onto the card. I stamped the small mosaic image in Calypso Coral and fussy cut this out. This is adhered to the larger mosaic with a glue dot and a pearl is added to the center. A super easy card with beautiful colors! Thanks for stopping by and have a glorious day!!

SFF 060713

Time again for another challenge at Sketch Frenzy Friday! This week's sketch was created by Robbie Rubula. Take a look!

Such an interesting sketch that had me perplexed at first. Then I saw my washi tape and a light bulb went off! Take a look!

I am really loving the washi tape!! That stuff is SO much fun! And so easy to use!! So I used the Gingham Garden washi tape and adhered the three strips diagonal onto a piece of Whisper White card stock. I stamped the sentiment from Create a Cupcake in Night of Navy and then adhered this panel to a piece of Night of Navy (looks like black). This panel is then popped up onto a card base of Whisper White. On another piece of Whisper White I stamped the cupcake bottom in Night of Navy and the top in Daffodil Delight. I punched these out using the cupcake builder punch and popped them up onto the card. I stamped the flower image using Melon Mambo and Pear Pizzazz markers and cut it out. This is adhered to the cupcake top and a rhinestone is added to the center.

Be sure to visit the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog for more incredible inspiration! I hope you'll play along with us this week! We sure do love to see what you all come up with! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

CCMC 255

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is going great! It's time again for another fabulous Thursday challenge at Create with Connie and Mary! This week we have a sketch to use! Check it out!

Another clean and simple sketch! So FUN!! Here is what I came up with!

I stuck pretty much to the sketch. I also thought it would be a great opportunity to use some new patterned paper. So I cut a piece of the Gingham Garden designer paper and adhered it to a card front of Island Indigo. Then I flagged a piece of Daffodil Delight and ran it through the Big Shot using the Honeycomb embossing folder. This is popped up onto the card. I stamped the greeting from Sweet Essentials in Island Indigo onto a piece of Whisper White. This is punched using the oval punch and then adhered to a piece of Island Indigo that was punched with the scallop oval punch. I adhered this to the Daffodil Delight panel. Then I punched a butterfly from Melon Mambo using the Elegant Butterfly punch. I added a flower that was punched from Night of Navy with the itty bitty shapes punch pack. A mini brad is holding them together and then is popped up onto the card.

More inspiration can be found at the Create with Connie and Mary website! I do hope you will play along with us this week! It's always so much fun seeing your creations! Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

MFTWSC 123

Good morning, Friends! I hope you are all having a super week! We had a great time with my parents this past week! They left yesterday morning and it's been pretty quiet and a little somber :( We always hate to say goodbye. But we will be seeing them again in about three weeks so that is something to look forward to! Yesterday I got my order from Stampin' Up! with my first order from the new catalog! Woohoo! I can't wait to find some time to play with all the new goodies! And there is still lots more I want to get - lol! A little at a time...

Today's card was done with a new set that I got with the pre-order. I also made this card for a recent swap I was in. The layout came from a sketch at My Favorite Things. A super simple card! I embossed a piece of Island Indigo with the Modern Mosaic embossing folder and adhered it to a card base of Whisper White. Then I stamped the greeting from Bring on the Cake in Island Indigo onto a piece of Gingham Garden designer paper. This is adhered to a piece of Melon Mambo and then the panel is popped up onto the card. I stamped the mosaic image from Mosaic Madness in Island Indigo twice onto Whisper White and punched it out with the mosaic punch. These are popped up onto the card and rhinestones are added to the centers. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!
