CCMC 237

Good morning, Friends! I'm here with the latest challenge from the Create with Connie and Mary team! This week we are being challenged with a super sketch! Take a look!

Very clean and simple! Love it! But the separate panels kind of threw me off. Here's what I did with the sketch.

I paired up this sketch challenge with the color challenge from the Create with Connie and Mary Occasions mini edition that was posted last Saturday. Love these colors together! I started by taking a piece of Real Red card stock and running it through the Big Shot using the Honeycomb embossing folder. I tied a piece of Basic Black taffeta ribbon around it and then popped it up onto a card base of Real Red. I stamped the oval image from Oh, Hello in Pool Party and then cut it out using the Ovals framelits dies. I stamped the greeting in Basic Black and then cut it apart with my paper trimmer. The four sections are popped up over the ribbon. I cut two hearts from Primrose Petals and Real Red using the Fashionable Hearts embosslit and adhered these together. I popped them up onto the card and added a pearl.

Be sure to visit the Create with Connie and Mary site to get even more inspiration for this great sketch! I hope you will be able to play along with us this week! We always love to see what you come up with! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

TSOT 103

Good morning, everyone! It seems to be another cold morning around here. And it looks like I will be the one to take Nick to school. Ugh! I really hate to get out on these cold mornings!! Lol!! Another quiet day around here. I am trying to get some stamping and stitching done while doing the never ending pile of laundry. Sounds like a great way to stay warm!!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Try Stamping on Tuesday. I adhered two different patterned papers from the More Amore designer paper pack to a piece of Basic Grey and then tied a piece of Pool Party ribbon around it from the Sycamore Street ribbon and button pack. This is then adhered to a card base of Pool Party. I carefully cut a heart from the same designer paper pack and popped it up onto the card. Then I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Basic Grey onto a strip of Naturals Ivory and flagged both ends. This is then adhered it to the heart. Super simple!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

FTL 225

Good morning everyone! I hope your week is off to a great start! It's a busy one for us around here so it is sure to go by quickly! I think I am ready for the weekend already - lol! But there is still lots to do before then so I guess I better enjoy each day as it comes! I think we have a quiet night tonight so that will be nice.

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Clean&Simple. I thought this sketch was a perfect one to use the banners in the Hearts a Flutter set. I started by adhering a strip of designer paper from the More Amore designer paper pack to a piece of Naturals Ivory. Then I stamped the three banners from Hearts a Flutter set onto Naturals Ivory in Primrose Petals, Pool Party, and Real Red and cut them out using the Hearts a Flutter framelits dies. These are then adhered to the panel and a piece of Basic Grey stitched grosgrain ribbon is tied around it. Then I stamped the outline heart image in Primrose Petals (stamping off once) and the greeting from Sweet Essentials in Basic Grey. I popped this panel up onto the card and added a heart that was cut from Pool Party using the Fashionable Hearts embosslit and a pearl. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

SSSC 176

Good morning, Friends! Another Monday. Another week. Ugh! We had a fun weekend, though! I got a lot of stitching done. Nick had a Futsal game. He loves Futsal! Even though they don't keep score, he loves being able to be active! By the way, Futsal is indoor soccer. Then yesterday he had a basketball game and that was fun! They do keep score there and his team won! He scored 6 points! Tonight it's basketball practice and soccer practice. Thankfully, not at the same time - lol! And here we are at the last of January. Wow! 2013 seems to be moving quickly already!

Today's card was inspired by a sketch at The Sweetest Thing. Karen Giron has great sketches and I haven't played along with her for quite a while. This one, however, doesn't really follow the sketch so I won't enter it. But it did jump start me. I just ended up leaving off the three panels. I couldn't make it work. I'm sure some other creative person would have been able to, but I quite like it this way, too! Super simple!! I adhered a strip of Sycamore Street designer paper that has the bottom flagged to a card base of Pool Party. Then I stamped the Just Thinking image twice onto Whisper White - once in Sahara Sand and once in Island Indigo. I cut out the entire Island Indigo image and adhered it to a piece of Island Indigo card stock. This is popped up onto the card. Then I cut the inside circle out of the Sahara Sand one and popped it up onto the other image. Then I stamped just the 'friend' part in Island Indigo onto a Whisper White strip. I flagged both ends and adhered it to the card. I added two rhinestones to finish it off. Thanks for stopping by an have a super day!

TSOT 102

Good Sunday morning, Friends! Today Nick has his first rec basketball game! He is so excited! I am so glad that he gets to keep playing! He really loves the game! And it looks like next week the soccer team will be able to start practicing outdoors as the snow is really melting! Yep! We have been above freezing for a few days! I can hardly believe it!! But for now, it's more fog and rain. I am thankful for the moisture but it can sure leave you a little depressed. Oh, well. Spring will be here soon enough :)

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Try Stampin' On Tuesday. I don't think that I have ever played along with this challenge. Anyway, I loved the sketch and gave it a go. I thought the sketch was perfect for the Just Thinking stamp. I layered a piece of Sycamore Street designer paper to a strip of Rich Razzleberry that was punched with the dotted ribbon scallop punch. This is then adhered to a card base of Pool Party. I stamped the Just Thinking stamp twice on Whisper White, once in Pool Party and once in Rich Razzleberry. I cut out the Pool Party one and adhered it to a piece of Rich Razzleberry. Then I adhered a strip of Summer Startfruit that was flagged on one end and popped up the panel onto the card. I cut out the circle part from the Rich Razzleberry stamped image and popped it up onto the card. I added three rhinestones to the upper left hand corner and a button from the Sycamore Street ribbon and button pack that has some white baker's twine tied inside it. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Freshly Made 70

Happy day my dear Friends!! How's that for a change in my greeting - lol! It just sort of came out and I thought it was kind of nice. The weather outside is definitely frightful! It rained last night and the temperatures were below freezing so they call that freezing rain. Now everything is a sheet of ice. Yuck! I wished it had snowed instead. It is foggy and dreary and quite depressing. But I get to venture out (very carefully) and work on some stitching today! It's been a while since I worked on my project so this will be a good day to do that! I just hope the roads aren't so nasty.

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made. So clean and simple and fun! I have made more Valentine cards this year than ever! But I am really liking all the Valentine paper and stamps! So here is another one. I took a strip of Naturals Ivory card stock and adhered a strip of Basic Grey that was punched with the dotted ribbon scallop border punch. This is then adhered to a piece of Naturals Ivory card stock. I carefully cut apart a doily heart from the More Amore designer paper and popped it up onto the panel. Then I punched a heart from Primrose Petals using the Full Heart punch and sponged the edges with Primrose Petals ink. To the back of this I adhered a strip of Naturals Ivory that was stamped with the greeting from Sweet Essentials in Primrose Petals and flagged at one end. This heart is popped up onto the other heart. I added three silver brads under the greeting and popped up the panel onto a card base of Naturals Ivory. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!!

SFF 012513

Good morning, Friends! I'm so glad it's Friday! And it's time for another great sketch from the Sketch Frenzy Friday team! This week's sketch was created by Kim Innis. Take a look!

I was a total rebel with this one. I started out creating my card just like the sketch but then I found I needed to rotate the card. Here's how it turned out!

All of the elements of the sketch are still there, just rotated. I punched a strip of Raspberry Ripple card stock using the dotted ribbon scallop punch and adhered it to a piece of Print Poetry designer paper. This is adhered to a piece of Very Vanilla. I stamped the greeting from Tea Shoppe in Raspberry Ripple. A piece of Very Vanilla seam binding ribbon is tied around this and then the panel is popped up onto a card base of Very Vanilla. The tea cup is stamped in Summer Starfruit onto Very Vanilla and cut out. This is popped up onto the card. It's kind of hard to tell but I did add a few pearls to the flower centers.

I hope that you visit the Sketch Frenzy Friday page to see what the other designers did with this sketch! I know you will be inspired to play along with us this week! We always love to see what you do with our sketches! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a super day!

CCMC 236

Good morning, everyone! I am here to bring you the latest challenge from the Create with Connie and Mary team! This week we are being challenged with color! And pretty colors they are! Take a look!

Raspberry Ripple, Pretty in Pink and Lucky Limeade. Don't they just look springy and fresh? Love it! Especially since there is still quite the snow scene out my window. I wanted to do something with Valentines with these colors but then decided a different direction. Take a look!

I went in a springy direction! I stamped the oval image from Oh, Hello in Pretty in Pink onto Whisper White and the words in Raspberry Ripple and then cut it out with the Ovals framelits dies. I also cut an oval out of a piece of Whisper White and then ran it through the Big Shot again using the Honeycomb embossing folder. The stamped oval is adhered to a card base of Whisper White. The embossed piece has a piece of Raspberry Ripple stitched satin ribbon tied around it. Then the panel is popped up over the stamped image. I cut two stems from Lucky Limeade using the Little Leaves sizzlet. These are adhered to the card. I used the Beautiful Wings embosslit to cut butterflies from Raspberry Ripple and Pretty in Pink card stock. I layered two of them together, popped it up onto the card and then added a rhinestone!

Be sure to visit the Create with Connie and Mary site to see what the other designers did with these fabulous colors! I hope that you will be inspired to play along with us this week! We always love to see what you do with our challenges! Thanks for stopping and have a super day!

FTL 224

Good morning, Friends! UGH!! It is getting harder to wake up! We all really need the weekend to get here so we can sleep in! I know that Nick will sleep till noon or later this weekend! That drive back from Vegas did us in! I need to get myself awake and alert as I am doing a hand piecing class tonight! I am really excited about that! And this afternoon I must go into town and make my final decision about what fabric I am going to use. I can't believe I have waited this long to decide. So much beautiful fabric to choose from! At least I have it narrowed down between two different ones.

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Clean&Simple. I think I have made more Valentine cards than ever this year! I am having so much fun with the Hearts a Flutter stamps and framelits dies! And the More Amore designer paper is SO beautiful and fun to work with! For this card I took a piece of More Amore designer paper and adhered it to a card base of Pool Party. Then I carefully cut apart a heart from the same paper collection. Behind the heart is a banner from the Hearts a Flutter stamp set that was stamped in Real Red onto Very Vanilla and cut out with the Hearts a Flutter framelits dies. I popped this up onto the card. Then a heart was cut from Real Red using the same framelits dies. Behind this heart is a strip of Very Vanilla with the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamped in Basic Grey. I popped this up onto the bigger heart and added a rhinestone. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Mojo 276

Good morning, Friends! Well, it's back to the deep freeze! I did not want to come out from under the blankets this morning. A few more hours of sleep would have been nice, too. But I must get back to the regularly scheduled program around here - lol! I can tell you that Nick is certainly not ready to get back to it all, either! But we must press onward. A haircut for me today and then I need to get caught up on laundry and some stamping.

Today's card was inspired by the Mojo Monday sketch from a few weeks ago. I actually made this card for a swap. I thought it was a great way to use those heart doilies that come with the More Amore designer paper! For this card I took a piece of Basic Grey and punched the side with the scallop edge border punch. To this I adhered two pieces of More Amore designer paper and then this panel is popped up onto a card base of Pool Party. Across the panel I adhered a strip of Real Red card stock that has the end flagged. Then I carefully cut a heart from the More Amore designer paper and stamped the greeting from Made for You in Basic Grey. This is popped up onto the card. I punched a heart from Real Red and popped it up on the bigger heart and added a pearl. Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

CAS(E) This 11

Good morning, Friends! It really doesn't feel like a Monday because we have been out of town. Today we head home. It was a disappointing tournament but I believe that everyone had fun! I know I did! From the warmer weather (60's) to frigid (below 20). Oh joy! I have enjoyed this weather! Now I am really ready for spring - lol!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at CAS(E) This. I loved the unique way of using the squares. I adhered a piece of More Amore designer paper to a card base of Naturals Ivory. A piece of Naturals Ivory is popped up onto the card. Then I cut four squares from Naturals Ivory and arranged them onto the card. Some are popped up and some are adhered to the panel. The greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes was stamped in Basic Grey. I punched three hearts from Naturals Ivory using the small heart punch and adhered them to three squares. I used the Fashionable Hearts embosslit to cut hearts from Real Red and Primrose Petals card stock. I picked one of each and adhered them together and then popped them up onto the card. I added a small pearl and called it done! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

FMS 68

Good morning, Friends! Ahhhh!! So nice to sleep in a little! The game didn't turn out like we would have wanted. We got killed! This is the first time that we have played outside since October. We have to practice inside in a gym because of all the snow that is still on the ground. And we played a team from California who is apparently ranked high and can practice all year long. Get the picture? Anyway, I hope that we can be a little more competitive today. We'll see. At least we won't have to worry about any games on Monday so we can leave early and get home at a decent hour. Two more games today!

Today's card was inspired by last week's sketch at Freshly Made. A very simple layout and I tried to keep my card that way as well. A piece of Whisper White card stock was run through the Big Shot with the Chevron embossing folder. I stamped the chevron pattern image from Oh, Hello in Sahara Sand onto Whisper White and used the Ovals framelits dies to cut it out. I stamped the greeting in Rich Razzleberry And then adhered it to the card. I flagged the end of a strip of Sahara Sand card stock and adhered this to the card. Then I tied a piece of Rich Razzleberry stitched grosgrain around this and popped this panel up onto the card. Then I stamped the flower in Rich Razzleberry and Lucky Limeade markers onto Whisper White and cut it out. This is popped up onto the card. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Clean&Simple 223

Good morning from Las Vegas! We got here pretty early yesterday and checked in and rested a while before seeing the rest of the team. Then we drove down to the strip and the guys rode the roller coaster at New York New York. We walked around a little and then had pizza and headed back to the hotel. Nick and my husband tried to see a movie but ended up back at the hotel and the kids just played arcade games. So much activity around here! And lots of different events going on this weekend! It's crazy! But we are having fun and we only need jackets!! We figured it was almost 40 degrees warmer here! SO nice!!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Clean&Simple. Not a lot of stamping on this one and that makes it really simple!! I adhered a piece of Sycamore Street designer paper to a card base of Island Indigo. Then I stamped the sentiment from Made for You in Island Indigo onto a panel of Whisper White and adhered two strips of Tangerine Tango that were punched with the dotted ribbon scallop punch. This is adhered to the card. I punched a scallop circle from Island Indigo and a Whisper White circle. These are adhered together and popped up onto the card. I used the Elegant Butterfly punch to punch one from Pool Party and the Bitty Butterfly punch to punch one from Summer Starfruit. These are adhered together with a brad in the middle and then popped up onto the card. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

SFF 011813

Good morning, Friends! We are headed off to Vegas for the weekend! Nick has a soccer tournament there. Should be lots of fun! I did want to stop in and show off the newest challenge from Sketch Frenzy Friday! This week's sketch was created by Jennifer Weide. Take a look!

Circles, circles, and more circles! Love it!! Doesn't it look FUN?? And what a fun time to work in some different patterns of designer paper! Take a look at what I came up with!

I used the Sycamore Street designer paper to help me create this card. I also used Summer Starfruit and Tangerine Tango card stock to help balance it out. The circles are punched with the 2 1/2", 1 3/4", 1 3/8, 1 1/4", and 1" circle punches. The two smaller circles are popped up onto the card (card base of Whisper White). I punched a butterfly from Rich Razzleberry with the Elegant Butterfly punch and a butterfly from Summer Starfruit with the Bitty Butterfly punch. These are layered with a brad through the center and then adhered to the card. I stamped the sentiment from Sweet Essentials in Rich Razzleberry onto the card. Easy!

Be sure to check out what the other designers did with this fun sketch by going to the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog! I do hope you will play along with us this week! It is always so much fun to see what you all come up with! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

CCMC 235

Good morning, Friends! Another Thursday and another fabulous challenge from the Create with Connie and Mary team! This week we are being challenged with a wonderful sketch! Take a look!

I love this sketch! So clean and simple and so many possibilities! Sometimes that makes it even hard for me to narrow down my ideas of what I would like to do. But here is what I finally came up with.

I am really getting into making Valentine's cards. I love the More Amore designer paper and the Hearts a Flutter stamp set and matching framelits dies! So that's what I went with here. I adhered a piece of More Amore designer paper to a piece of Very Vanilla card stock. Then I tied a piece of Pool Party seam binding ribbon around this and added an antique brad. I popped this panel up onto a card base of Very Vanilla. I stamped the heart from Hearts a Flutter in Primrose Petals (stamping off once) onto Very Vanilla and then stamped the greeting from Sweet Essentials in Basic Grey. This is layered onto a piece of Basic Grey card stock. This is popped up onto the card. Finally I punched a heart from Primrose Petals using the small heart punch and popped it up onto the card and added a pearl.

Be sure to check out the Create with Connie and Mary website to see what the rest of the designers did with this sketch. I hope you will be inspired to play along with us this week! We always love to see what you come up with! While you are there be sure to check out their Create with Connie and Mary 2013 Spring Edition! Retro 46

Good morning, Friends! It's another cold morning that I wanted to stay under the blankets! My husband informed me that it is warmer than yesterday at 0. Wow!! So many frozen pipes around the area. I am so thankful that everything seems to be working great around here! Need to get the laundry going so we can start packing. And it does happen to be my birthday but for me it is still Wednesday. I love my family and they will find a way to make it special :)

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Retro Sketches. I loved that I could use some of my favorite papers from More Amore! I punched a strip of Basic Grey with the dotted ribbon scallop punch and adhered the papers to that then to a piece of Naturals Ivory. Below that I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Basic Grey. I tied a piece of Basic Grey stitched grosgrain around this and rounded the bottom right hand corner before popping it up onto a card base of Naturals Ivory. Then I cut a heart from Primrose Petals using the Hearts a Flutter framelits dies and sponged the edges with Primrose Petals. This is popped up onto the card and a pearl was added. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Fab Friday 09

Good morning everyone! Oh my goodness it is freakin' cold out this morning!! My phone says -8 but I think it's worse than that! Actually, with the wind chill it is. We are headed to Las Vegas this weekend and it is only 27 there right now! Yesterday, Nick's school had no power or water for the first part of their school day. Everything was back to normal late morning so we will see how it is for them today. I am so thankful for our wood stove and no frozen pipes so far! I was able to get some stamping and sewing done yesterday but it is cold in that room, too! I had to take several breaks to come upstairs and warm up. Looks like it will be the same for today.

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Fab Friday. A super clean and simple card! I stamped the outline image from Oh, Hello in Sahara Sand onto a card base of Whisper White. Then I cut an oval from Island Indigo using the Ovals framelits dies and adhered it to the card. On top of this is a strip of Sycamore Street designer paper that was flagged at one end. Then I stamped the oval image in Sahara Sand onto Whisper White and the greeting in Island Indigo right over that. I used the Ovals framelits dies to cut this out and popped it up onto the card. Finally I added a button from the Sycamore Street ribbon and button pack with some white baker's twine tied through it. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

STB 1 - Feminine

Good morning, Friends! I am having a hard time waking up this morning! Ugh! I kept thinking that it was Sunday and I could sleep in a little. But I realized I was wrong and now I am downing the coffee to help me get going - lol! Looks like I need a day to do some stamping. I have quite a few cards I need to make and then I also have a swap to get ready for. I want to have all this done as we will be leaving for Las Vegas on Friday! Yea!! We are all looking forward to that!

Today's card was inspired by a new sketch challenge blog called Seize the Birthday. Each week they will have a new sketch and alternate between feminine and masculine birthdays. For the first week they have started with feminine. Ladies first!! Anyway, this is what I came up with. A flagged strip of Sahara Sand is adhered to a flagged strip of Sycamore Street designer paper and then to a piece of Island Indigo that was run through the Big Shot with the Honeycomb embossing folder and then to a card base of Island Indigo. Whew!! The flower from Mixed Bunch is stamped with Tangerine Tango onto Whisper White and punched with the Blossoms punch. I also punched two leaves from Lucky Limeade with the Blossom Petal builder punch. These are adhered to the back of the flower and then popped up onto the card. I punched a 3/4" circle from Island Indigo and adhered this to the flower center. I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Island Indigo onto a strip of Whisper White and flagged the end. This is tucked behind the Pool Party button with White baker's twine which is adhered with glue dots. The button is from the Sycamore Street ribbon and button pack. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

An Inspiring Day - Hearts a Flutter

Good morning, Friends! I hope you are ready to be inspired by the RemARKable Stampers! This month we are featuring the Hearts a Flutter stamp set! If you are a regular visitor of my blog, you know that I love this stamp set!! And today I have a super simple card to show you using this set! Take a look!

The Raspberry Ripple piece is adhered to a card base of Crumb Cake. On another piece of Crumb Cake I stamped the outline heart image three times using the help of my stamp-a-ma-jig. Below the hearts I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Raspberry Ripple. Then I stamped the solid heart image onto a piece of Very Vanilla in Raspberry Ripple and cut it out. This is popped up onto the panel and the panel is then popped up onto the card. Super easy!!

Continue on through the tour by clicking the image below to see what Tamra Davis has ready to show you! So glad you stopped by! Have a great day!

Retro 45

Good morning everyone! Are you ready for a great weekend? It is supposed to be seriously cold this weekend but we plan on staying indoors by the fire for most of it - lol! Actually, today I will be taking a class on Crazy Quilting! I am so super excited about this! Something different. The class is supposed to go most of the afternoon but my friend and I are leaving early as the Broncos are playing this afternoon and, well, we do have priorities! Lol!! Seriously! The Broncos are a big thing around here and we just can't miss it!! That is another super exciting thing going on today!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch from last week at Retro Sketches. I also used it for our shoebox club this month. Super simple and I do love how it turned out! First I adhered a piece of Primrose Petals to a card base of Very Vanilla. Then I took the Occasions Paper Piercing templates and pierced the heart. I adhered two strips of designer paper from the More Amore pack with the ends flagged and stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Primrose Petals. I popped this panel up onto the card. Then I cut a heart using the Hearts a Flutter framelits dies and Primrose Petals card stock. This is popped up onto the card and a pearl was added. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day! GO BRONCOS!!!

SFF 011113

Good morning, Friends! It's finally Friday!! And time for another sketch challenge from the Sketch Frenzy Friday team! This week's sketch was created by me!! I made it pretty simple! Take a look!

And here's my card!

I stamped the greeting from Up, Up, and Away onto a strip of Whisper White with Midnight Muse and Rich Razzleberry markers. I flagged the bottom and adhered it to a piece of Pool Party that was stamped with the cloud image in Pool Party. This is then adhered to a piece of Summer Starfruit and then to a card base of Whisper White. On a scrap of Whisper White I stamped the balloon in Summer Starfruit, the basket in Midnight Muse and the banners in Rich Razzleberry. I cut these out and adhered them together then popped them up onto the card. I punched a heart from Rich Razzleberry using the small heart punch and popped it up onto the balloon. Finally, I added a rhinestone.

Good morning, Friends! It's time once again for a fabulous challenge from the Create with Connie and Mary team! This week's challenge is a color challenge. Check it out!

Pink Pirouette, Midnight Muse, Whisper White. Great colors but none that I had put together. But take a look at how great they go together!

Love the way this one came together! A super easy card, too! I took a strip of Whisper White and flagged the bottom. Then I ran it through the Big Shot with the Adorning Accents hearts folder and embossed the bottom part of the banner. Then I stamped the sentiment from Sweet Essentials in Midnight Muse and tied a piece of Pink Pirouette 3/8" taffeta ribbon around it before popping it up onto a card base of Midnight Muse. Then I stamped the heart image from Hearts a Flutter in Midnight Muse onto Pink Pirouette card stock and cut it out with the Hearts a Flutter framelits dies. This is popped up onto the white panel. A small heart was punched from Whisper White card stock with the small heart punch. This is popped up onto the pink heart with a rhinestone.

Check out the Create with Connie and Mary website to see what the rest of the design team did with these fabulous colors! I hope you will be inspired to play along with us this week! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Valentine Flutter

Good morning, Friends! We are half through another week! I hope it is going well for you all! It's still cold around here and we have another good chance for snow on Friday. I hope so!! We sure could use it! The mountains more so but it is so nice to have the moisture! I didn't get as much stamping done yesterday as I had planned but I did get some a sewing project done and another one started. I really need to spend some time updating that blog, too. I like to take my pictures outdoors but that won't happen for a while - lol! So it will be more of the same for today and then a quiet evening at home.

Today's card was inspired by one I saw on the Hero Arts blog. Pretty simple with lots of layers. I adhered a piece of Basic Grey that was run through the Big Shot with the Honeycomb embossing folder to a piece of Naturals Ivory and then to a piece of Primrose Petals and then to a card base of Naturals Ivory. Then I adhered a strip of More Amore designer paper. On top of this I adhered a strip of Basic Grey and a strip of Naturals Ivory that has the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamped in Basic Grey. Each of these strips were cut at an angle on one end. Then I stamped the heart image from Hearts a Flutter in Basic Grey onto Primrose Petals and cut it out using the Hearts a Flutter framelits dies. This is popped up onto the card. Then I punched a heart from Pool Party using the small heart punch. I added a pearl and called it done! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

More Amore Banners

Good morning, Friends! This is the only part of school being in session that I hate - getting up early. Ugh! But I do appreciate that I have to get up and get going. Back to the full routine of homework, various practices and early mornings. And we start living for the weekends - lol! So I am hoping that I can get some stamping done today. I also am looking forward to start some sewing projects, too! Becky and I have a class coming up on Crazy Quilting! I am really looking forward to that one, too!!

Today's card was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest. A nice simple layout! I pulled out some Naturals Ivory card stock for this one. I bought a package of the Naturals White and Ivory not too long ago and have used it so rarely. I did started this card on Very Vanilla but switched to the Naturals Ivory and I like the texture of it a lot better for this. What do you think? I stamped the heart from Hearts a Flutter onto Naturals Ivory card stock in Primrose Petals (I stamped off once before stamping on the card stock). Then I stamped the sentiment from Sweet Essentials in Basic Grey. Then I added three strips of More Amore designer paper that were flagged on the bottom. This panel is then popped up onto a card base of Naturals Ivory. I added two rhinestones and called it done! Super simple!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Retro 44

Good morning, Friends! Another week has rolled around. And this is a week that a lot of parents have been waiting for - lol! School will be back in session tomorrow! Yea!! Nick is not that excited at all but I guess he will need to suck it up! I will be glad for the regular routine once again. And he will be starting basketball and soccer practices so that will be another plus. He has thoroughly enjoyed his break but I think even he is ready for the routine as well.

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Retro Sketches. This didn't come out like I had envisioned but I liked it. And it's super simple! I stamped the outline image from Oh, Hello in Crumb Cake onto a piece of Crumb Cake (I did stamp off once and that makes it a little hard to see in the photo). Then I rounded the corners and sponged the edges with Crumb Cake. I stamped the greeting in Early Espresso and adhered this panel to a card base of Crumb Cake. On the side, I adhered a strip of Print Poetry designer paper. Then I stamped the flower onto Very Vanilla using Raspberry Ripple and Gumball Green markers. I cut it out and popped it up onto the card. Finally, I threaded a bronze button with linen thread and tied it to a piece of Victoria crochet trim. This is adhered to the card with glue dots. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! I hope your weekend is going great! It's another COLD one around here! My husband said it was -8 this morning! The sun will come out but the inversion is what is making it so cold around here. And the snow doesn't melt very fast, either. But there are more play-off games today so no need to go outside - lol! Plus I need to make some more cards for the blog. I had better get to work on that today as well!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Paper Craft Crew Challenges. And can I just say that I love the way this one turned out? This is image is just SO adorable!! I took a piece of the More Amore designer paper and flagged one end. This is adhered to a piece of Primrose Petals. I tied a piece of Very Vanilla seam binding ribbon around this and added an antique brad. A piece of Pool Party was run through the Big Shot with the Designer Frames embossing folder. I cut the frame out and sponged it with Pool Party ink. I cut a piece of Very Vanilla card stock to fit just inside the frame and stamped the image from Greeting Card Kids in black StazOn. I colored the image with Pool Party, Primrose Petals and Daffodil Delight inks and a blender pen. This is adhered to the frame and then popped up onto the card. I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in black StazOn and popped up the panel onto a card base of Primrose Petals. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning everyone! I hope you are having a super weekend! Last night Becky, Emily, Sherry and I got together to celebrate our Christmas and Emily's and my birthdays. It was SO much fun! Since Sherry moved away, we have to be a little more strategic about when we do these things. She was in town this weekend so that is why we did it all now. It was so great to see her and get caught up on everything. And Becky made her famous chicken and noodles and graham cracker ice cream - YUM!! Thanks girls!! I had the best time and I LOVE all my gifts! You are the best!!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Paper Craft Crew Challenges. I used a piece of Print Poetry designer paper and adhered it to a piece of Raspberry Ripple that was punched along the bottom with the scallop edge border punch. This is then adhered to a piece of Primrose Petals that was run through the Big Shot with the Honeycomb embossing folder. A piece of Raspberry Ripple stitched satin ribbon was tied around it before it was adhered to a card base of Very Vanilla. Then I stamped the greeting from Oh, Hello in Raspberry Ripple onto Very Vanilla and punched it out with the Decorative Label punch. This is popped up onto the card. A butterfly was punched from Summer Starfruit using the Bitty Butterfly punch. I added a metallic brad and adhered it to the card. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good Friday morning everyone! I hope your New Year is off to a super start! I can't believe that Nick will have to go back to school on Tuesday! Wow! This break really went by fast!! I am looking forward to having some time at home to myself, though! Today the Sketch Frenzy Friday team has another wonderful sketch for us! This week's sketch was created by Tammy Fite. Take a look!

Super simple and super cute!! I wanted to create something with my new toys so here is what I came up with!

I have to say that I really like how this came out!! I kept is simple, just like the sketch! I took a piece of the beautiful new designer paper from the More Amore designer paper pack and adhered it to a card base of Basic Grey. Then I took a piece of Very Vanilla and stamped the greeting from Made for You in Basic Grey. To the back of this I adhered two strips of Primrose Petals that were punched with the dotted ribbon scallop punch and then adhered this to the card. I stamped the scalloped heart from Hearts a Flutter in Basic Grey onto a piece of Primrose Petals and cut it out using the Hearts a Flutter framelits dies. I popped this up onto the card and added a Basic Grey button that was threaded with some linen thread.

Be sure to visit the Sketch Frenzy Friday home page to see what the other designers did with this fabulous sketch! I hope that you will be inspired to play along with us this week! Be sure to upload your creation to the blog so that we can all see! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! It's the first Thursday of the New Year! And it's the first Thursday challenge from the Create with Connie and Mary team! This week we have sketch challenge. Take a look!

This is a little different for me. But here's what I came up with.

I used some new products from the spring mini catalog! So much fun to play with new toys!! I flagged a strip of designer paper from the Print Poetry paper stack and adhered it to a piece of Crumb Cake. Then I took three strips of Midnight Muse card stock and ran them through the Big Shot using the Honeycomb embossing folder. These are adhered to the card. I stamped the flower image from Oh, Hello three times onto Very Vanilla using Gumball Green and Midnight Muse markers. I cut these out and popped them up onto each strip. Then I inked up just the 'thanks' using the Midnight Muse marker and stamped it onto the Crumb Cake piece. I added three metallic brads and adhered this panel to a card base of Midnight Muse.

Be sure to visit the Create with Connie and Mary site and see what the other designers did with this sketch. I do hope that you will be inspired to play along this week! Upload your creation to the website so that we can all see! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Wonderful Hearts

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is going super! We totally enjoyed a full day of relaxing and watching football! It was pretty cold yesterday and so we kept the fire going and made a big pot of soup to graze on most of the afternoon. Today I need to get myself going as I have a few things that I must finish up before Friday and one of them I have not even started on - yikes!! I also need to get to stamping again. All the cards I stamped before Christmas vacation are used up. Now I need to find the mojo and start all over again.

So today's card was one that I whipped up late yesterday afternoon. I didn't have any left in the folder to show for today so I turned to Pinterest for inspiration. This one truly took my minutes to make! I stamped the hearts from Hearts a Flutter in Real Red onto Whisper White and punched them out using the Postage Stamp punch. Then I popped them up onto another piece of Whisper White. I stamped the greeting from Sweet Essentials in Real Red at the bottom and tied a piece of 1/8" Real Red taffeta ribbon to the top. I popped this panel up onto a card base of Real Red and added a rhinestone to each heart. Done!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Control Freaks Spring Swap Card

Happy New Year everyone!! My 2012 year went by so fast that I pray I may enjoy each day as it comes in this new year. I really don't want to wish it all away. I don't really make resolutions because I never seem to keep them. I just want to keep doing what makes me happy and enjoy being with my family! I stayed awake long enough to see the new year in and then we came home. So thankful that we could sleep in this morning! Now I am looking forward to the Rose Parade and the Rose Bowl football game. No real plans. Just time relaxing with family!!

Today's card is one that I did for the Control Freaks Spring mini catalog swap. I just got them all back yesterday and figured it was safe to show you all. I just love this set and had fun making this card! I took a piece of Very Vanilla and ran it through the Big Shot with the Honeycomb embossing folder and adhered it to a piece of Primrose Petals and then to a card base of Very Vanilla. Then I stamped the oval image from Oh, Hello in Primrose Petals onto Primrose Petals and cut it out using the Ovals Collection framelits dies. This is adhered to the card. Then I stamped the greeting in Gumball Green onto Very Vanilla. I adhered a piece of Print Poetry designer paper to the bottom of this piece and tied some Primrose Petals stitched satin ribbon around it. This is adhered to a piece of Gumball Green and then popped up onto the card. I stamped the flower using Primrose Petals and Gumball Green markers onto Very Vanilla and cut it out. This is popped up onto the card. Thanks for stopping by and here's to a super New Year!!
