You still can and you will have access to ALL of the cards and their project sheets complete with instructions and measurements! You will see my projects on Tuesday! Be sure to visit the Create with Connie and Mary website to sign up! I hope to see you on the "other" side - lol!

Good Sunday morning everyone and HAPPY EASTER! What a wonderful day today is!! I love Easter and what it truly means! And for me it means victory over death! What a great thing to celebrate! We will be celebrating with family and of course the Easter bunny has to come and bring a little something along with hiding a few eggs. Even my 13 year old is looking forward to that - lol! My sister-in-law says you are never to old to hunt for eggs! I have to agree with her. My son said that as you get older you can get more creative with the hiding spots!! Hmmm... I feel a challenge coming on - lol!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch challenge at CAS(E) This Sketch. And since I don't have any Easter stamps (sad, I know), I tried my best with what I had. On a card base of Primrose Petals I stamped the swirl stamp from Everything Eleanor in Primrose Petals. Then I layered a strip of designer paper from the Tea for Two dsp pack that has the end flagged. I rounded the two bottom corners of a piece of Basic Grey and adhered that to the card. On Very Vanilla I stamped the label in So Saffron and cut it out. I stamped the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Basic Grey and added three mini brads. This is popped up onto the card. Then I stamped the flower twice onto Very Vanilla in Primrose Petals and cut them out. One flower is adhered flat and the other is popped up. And there is my Easter card! May you all have a very blessed Easter! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Teeny Tiny Wishes, Everything Eleanor; Paper- Primrose Petals, Basic Grey, Very Vanilla, Tea Two designer paper; Ink- Primrose Petals, Basic Grey, So Saffron; Accessories- mini brads, corner rounder, dimensionals

Good morning, Friends! Wow! It's Friday already! This week really flew by! I can't believe spring break is over. But before Nick goes back to school, we are going to have one last bit of fun! We are headed to a Nuggets game!! Woohoo! Today The Sketch Frenzy Friday team reveals a new challenge! This week's sketch was created by Patrice Herrera. Take a look!

What a fun sketch! So many great elements to embellish! Here is what I came up with!

I really like how this came out! I cut a circle from Crumb Cake using the 3" circle die. I started by cutting a strip of Cajun Craze and adhering it to a piece of Not Quite Navy. Then I stamped the coral image from By the Tide in Crumb Cake and sponged the edges. I cut part of the circle off and then adhered it to the panel. I used the Modern Label punch to punch the shape three times and adhered just part of the shape to the edge of the card. I cut away the unwanted parts and punched holes to insert Very Vanilla brads. I stamped the sentiment from Made for You in black StazOn and then popped up the panel up onto a card base of Crumb Cake. Then I stamped the fish in Not Quite Navy onto Very Vanilla and cut it out. This is popped up onto the card.

Be sure to visit the Sketch Frenzy Friday team for more inspiration! I hope you will play along with us this week! We always love to see what you do with our challenges! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

CCMC 245

Good morning, Friends! It's time for the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday challenge! This week we are being challenged with a sketch. Take a look at this fabulous, very versatile sketch!

I just love the simplicity of this! I had the hardest time trying to figure out how I would use it for this week's challenge because there are SO many possibilities!  I changed by mind three times - lol! Here is what I finally decided on.

I am really loving the fun bright colors in the Sunshine and Sprinkles designer paper! I took a piece of the designer paper and ran it through the Big Shot using the Cloudy Day embossing folder. This ended up being a little tricky as I wanted the clouds to go the right direction and I could only get half the paper in the folder. That part was fine. I thought I could just put the rest of the paper in the folder and run it through again but I ended up having to put more of the paper into the folder causing the middle part to get double embossed. No big deal. With this designer paper, you can't even tell! Cool! So the dsp was adhered to a piece of Whisper White and then a piece of Melon Mambo 3/8" striped organdy ribbon was tie around this. I popped this panel up onto a card base of Whisper White. I stamped the sentiment from Rain or Shine in Basic Grey onto a strip of Whisper White and flagged one end. This is adhered to the card. I cut a piece of Whisper White with the Labels framelits dies and then pierced around the inside of it with the Festive paper piercing pack. Then I stamped the handle of the umbrella in Basic Grey. The label is popped up onto the card. I stamped the top of the umbrella in Melon Mambo onto a scrap of Whisper White and cut it out. This is popped up onto the card. I used the itty bitty shapes punch pack to punch a flower from Daffodil Delight and adhered it to the umbrella and added a rhinestone.

Be sure to visit the Create with Connie and Mary website to see what the other designers did with this sketch! There are SO many variations of this sketch!! Too fun!! And while you are there be sure to sign up for the Card "Create"tions for All Occasions edition! I am so excited to be a part of this design team!

Today's card was inspired by Mary Jo's lunchtime sketch challenge. It was an easy sketch and that is just what I needed with the busy day I had yesterday! I was glad to be able to make it a masculine card, too! I adhered a piece of Print Poetry designer paper to a card base of Midnight Muse. Then I stamped the coral image from By the Tide in Crumb Cake onto a piece of Crumb Cake. I also stamped the sentiment from Made for You in Midnight Muse and then I sponged the edges with Crumb Cake ink. I added three brads and popped this piece onto the card. Then I stamped the fish in Midnight muse and cut it out. This is popped up onto the card. Done! I told you it was easy!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! Have you been to the Create with Connie and Mary website to see Mary's Card "Create"tions preview? Wow! She even has a project sheet for you to download! I am so excited for this edition! I do hope you will join us as I am positive that you will love all the projects that the designers are working up just for our subscribers!

I have to say that Nick is really taking FULL advantage of his spring break! I have hardly seen him since last Thursday! But I am so glad for him! I am so happy that he has such wonderful friends to get together with and that they enjoy doing physical outdoor activities as much as he does! No couch potato, t.v. watching, video games, "I'm bored" kid here! Love that about him! For me, I finally get my hair cut and colored today! Yea!! I always love to have that done! Then I need to shop for some necessary items to finish a few birthday gifts and then home to get some stamping done!

Today's card was inspired by the Seize the Birthday challenge. I also did this card for a recent swap that I participated in. Love the fun bright colors on this! And it's fairly simple to put together! I punched a strip of Island Indigo with the dotted ribbon scallop punch and adhered it to the back of a piece of Summer Smooches designer paper. This is adhered to a piece of Whisper White. Then I tied a piece of Daffodil Delight seam binding ribbon around this. The sentiment from Friendly Phrases was stamped in Island Indigo and then the panel was adhered to a card base of Island Indigo. I stamped the flower from Mixed Bunch in Daffodil Delight and punched it out with the Blossom punch. The flower center was stamped in Island Indigo and fussy cut with the paper snips. I added a brad and popped this up onto the flower. I punched two leaves from Lucky Limeade using the Blossom Petals builder punch and adhered them to the back of the flower. The flower is popped up onto the card. I added two rhinestones to the greeting - just because :) Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

O.k. now to today's card!

Today's card was inspired by the challenge at CAS-ual Fridays. The challenge is to make a card with NO stamps. Yikes! But then I remembered this beautiful paper from the Occasions mini catalog that had this quote on it. I thought I would never be able to use that part of the paper. I love the quote and I love the look of the writing but how to use it? This challenge is perfect! And it could be used for a wedding or anniversary card. Doesn't have to be Valentine's! I cut the More Amore designer paper to size and layered it onto a piece of Primrose Petals then popped it up onto a card base of Basic Grey. Then I took a piece of Primrose Petals to the Big Shot and used the Hearts a Flutter framelits dies to cut a scallop heart. Then I used the smaller heart framelit die and cut it out. This heart "frame" is popped up onto the card. I used the small heart punch and punched a heart from Primrose Petals. This is adhered to the card and a rhinestone was added. I guess you can make a card with no stamps! Give it a try!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! I thought that spring was here! What happened? Oh my goodness it is SO cold right now! And there's talk of snow? Ugh! Spring break has officially begun but it doesn't feel like it. I hope that it will warm up next week. And my flowers were starting to peek up out of the ground! I will be staying warm today, though. I am excited to be going to an all day stitching! Today is Breakfast Club at Laura's Home and that means a great day to work on stitching! She is also having her open house today! Can't wait to see all the wonderful things she will be offering this quarter!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made. A wonderful simple sketch! A piece of Tea for Two designer paper was punched with the scallop trim punch and adhered to a card base of Very Vanilla. Then I took another piece of Very Vanilla and punched the flower using the Blossom punch. I sponged the edges of the flower using Calypso Coral ink and then stamped the sentiment from Friendly Phrases in Early Espresso. I tied a piece of Calypso Coral ruffled ribbon around this and popped the panel up onto the card base. I like to make sure that I get plenty of dimensionals right around the flower so that it really stays popped up. Then I took some linen thread and a vintage faceted button and created loops using glue dots to help hold everything in place. This is adhered to the flower center. Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

Good morning everyone! I am so glad it's Friday!!! And it's the start of Spring Break around here! Woohoo! It's also time for another great challenge from the Sketch Frenzy Friday team! This week's sketch was created by Maria Vanderform. Take a look!

Lots of fun layers and possibilities! Here is what I came up with!

I took a piece of Tea for Two designer paper and stamped the sentiment from Oh, Hello in Early Espresso and then tied a piece of Very Vanilla seam binding ribbon around it. This is adhered to a piece of Very Vanilla and then popped up onto a card base of Very Vanilla. Then I took a piece of Very Vanilla card stock to the Big Shot and ran it through with the Designer Frames embossing folder and then again with the Labels framelits dies. This is popped up onto the card. On a scrap of Very Vanilla, I stamped the flower image with So Saffron and Lucky Limeade markers. I carefully cut it out and popped it up onto the card.

Be sure to visit the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog to see what the other fabulous designers did with this sketch! I hope you will be inspired and will play along with us this week! We always love to see what you do with our sketches! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

CCMC 244

Good morning, Friends! I hope you are ready for another fabulous challenge from the Create with Connie and Mary team! This week we are being challenged with color. Take a look!

Not Quite Navy, Marina Mist and Daffodil Delight. Beautiful! I love to experiment with color. I thought these colors might be good for a more masculine card and this is what emerged.

I had seen a sample similar to this in the Occasions mini catalog and thought I could recreate it. I don't know if I am completely happy with it but it works. Being sick this week has really thrown me off. I am glad to be on the mend and stamping on a regular basis again! For this card I embossed a piece of Whisper White with the Honeycomb embossing folder, Then I adhered a piece of Daffodil Delight to the back and popped the panel up onto a card base of Not Quite Navy. Then I ran scraps of Not Quite Navy, Marina Mist, Polka Dot Parade designer paper, Summer Smooches designer paper and Sunshine and Sprinkles designer paper through the Big Shot using the Honeycomb embossing folder and cut out several hexagons. I adhered some of these hexagons flat and some I popped up. I tried to put them on in a random manner (no thinking needed - lol). Then I stamped the sentiment from Friendly Phrases in Not Quite Navy onto a strip of Whisper White and flagged one end. I added two silver brads and popped it up onto the card.

Be sure to visit the Create with Connie and Mary website to see what the other designers did with these colors! Lots of great inspiration! I hope that you will play along with us this week! We always love to see what you do with the challenges!

Before I sign off I would like to announce that I am a designer for the Create with Connie and Mary Card "Create"tions for All Occasions! I am so excited! Here are the details!

Birthday Flower

Good morning, Friends! I love my guys when they let me sleep in! It felt SO good! I am feeling much better and especially since I got to sleep in! And now they are off at school and work and I can drink my coffee and blog in peace. Ahhh!! So today, since I am feeling better, I had better find some mojo and get back to work! I am really hoping to get a lot done today. Next week is spring break and I want to be able to not worry about all this other stuff - lol!

Today's card was one that I copied from the Stampin' Success magazine. Actually, the focal point is really the only thing that's the same. I just thought it was so cute! I ran a piece of Very Vanilla through the Big Shot with the Woodgrain embossing folder and added a strip of Tea for Two designer paper with both ends flagged. This is then popped up onto a card base of Very Vanilla. Then I punched a scallop circle from So Saffron and curled the edges slightly. To the back of this I added some leaves of Lucky Limeade that I punched using the 1 3/8" circle punch. This is popped up onto the card. On a piece of Very Vanilla I stamped the sentiment from Made for You in Early Espresso and punched it out with the 1 3/8" circle punch. This is adhered to the center of the scallop circle. Then I added a small vintage faceted button with some linen thread tied through it. A sweet happy spring card! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

CAS(E) This Sketch 19

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is starting off better than mine. I heard last night that the tree pollen is really high right now and I am feeling just miserable! I am sure it's allergies but I sure feel like I might have a fever, too. I am so congested! And, of course, I have a lot to do today - ugh! My husband let me sleep in so I am hoping that after a shower and some coffee I might feel a little better. I just hate not being able to breathe through my nose! I'm sure I will be taking a nap or two today :)

Today's card was inspired by the sketch challenge at CAS(E) This Sketch. Another super clean and simple sketch with lots of possibilities! I took a piece of Whisper White and used the Festive paper piercing pack to pierce a frame and then popped this panel up onto the card base of Whisper White. On scraps of Whisper White I stamped the Boutique Blossom three times - once in Old Olive (to cut out the stem), then again in Summer Starfruit (to cut out the center) and then finally in Rich Razzleberry (to cut out the flower). I adhered the stem to the back of the flower and the flower center to the flower then popped up the flower onto the card. Then I stamped the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Rich Razzleberry onto a strip of Whisper White and adhered it to the card. I thought it needed a little bling so I added several rhinestones to the flower center. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Wish Big

Good morning, Friends! Another week is upon us! As you know, we were in Denver over the weekend. We drove over on Saturday and the weather became an issue. We eventually made it but it was slow going for quite a while. The game was Sunday morning and they played quite well! They lost in overtime and it was a heart breaker! They had the game in hand. Ugh! I am really happy with how they played! So after the game on Sunday we went to the mall because Nick needed some track spikes. We spend some time getting those and then we have lunch. We get out on the road (and it has been very windy the whole day) and begin our journey home. I get a text from the team mom about how incredibly horrible the roads are ahead of us. Ugh! We continue hoping it gets better. Then we get a call from another parent letting us know that Glenwood Canyon is closed because of a semi accident. Ugh!! We still continued our journey home. Turned out that we went through the snow storm/blizzard, sliding down the mountain at times, watching others slide as well and seeing many cars off the road. It was awful!! And then we had to take a detour to get around Glenwood Canyon that was 3 times as long turning our 4 hour trip into a 7 1/2 hour trip! So we let Nick sleep in this morning and will take him to school after a little while. What a nightmare! And we couldn't even take home a win - lol! But Nick is really excited about his track spikes - lol! So glad the sun is shining today. But it does seem that I have another head cold or allergies. Whatever it is, I am miserable! I still hope I can get some stamping and sewing done today. We will see...

Today's card came from an idea that Judy shared at our recent Shoebox event. She made these cute candles from designer paper! I switched it up a bit as I wanted to use a sentiment from Stampin' Up! So this is how mine turned out! Super simple!! I adhered a piece of Sunshine and Sprinkles designer paper to a card base of Whisper White. Then I stamped the sentiment from Word Play in Basic Grey onto a piece of Whisper White. I added two silver brads and a rhinestone before popping this up onto the card. Then I cut a piece of designer paper for the candle and cut the top at an angle. This is popped up onto the card. I punched the flame from Daffodil Delight using the Bird builder punch (the wing part) and sponged the edges with Daffodil Delight ink. This is also popped up. Super Simple! Thanks for stopping by! Have a super day!!

Wisteria Friends

Good morning, Friends! We are in Denver for a soccer game. We drove over yesterday in a serious winter storm! It started out cloudy at our house then got rainy and then turned to snow and the roads just got nastier as we went. But we made it and it looks to be another gray kind of day. The wind is supposed to blow. I just hope it doesn't get too nasty before we play. Then Nick wants to stop at the sporting goods store before we head back. We will see...

Today's card started out from one I had seen on the Hero Arts blog but then I had some other ideas and this is what I came up with. And I rather liked it! Not much to it but I thought it was a nice spring card. I know it's St. Patrick's Day but I didn't have another card for that so this is the one that is being posted - lol! Anyway, on a piece of Naturals White I stamped the sentiment from Friendly Phrases in Basic Grey and tied a piece of Wisteria Wonder ruffled ribbon around it before popping it up onto a card base of Naturals White. Then I took another piece of Naturals White and ran it through the Big Shot with the Flower Garden embossing folder. I punched a strip of Wisteria Wonder with the dotted ribbon scallop punch and adhered it to the back. This is popped up onto the card. Then I punched a butterfly from Wisteria Wonder with the Elegant Butterfly punch and a butterfly from Pink Pirouette with the Bitty Butterfly punch. I adhered the two together and popped them up onto the card. Then I added a rhinestone. Soft and simple! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Bunny Card

Good morning everyone! Wow! I didn't know that I could sleep this late! The whole family did - well, it's not that unusual for Nick but for my husband it is very unusual! And then I just kept sleeping, too! Must have needed it, though. It felt so good! We will be heading to Denver a little later as Nick has a soccer game tomorrow morning. We are hoping to spend some time shopping up there to try and find Nick some track spikes. Yep! He is doing Middle School track and that starts next week. Nothing like keeping busy! It also looks like it could rain - and it is supposed to. I hope so as we need the moisture! Love spring rain!!

Today's card is one that I did with my shoebox club. Such a fun group of ladies!! I had seen this bunny in the Archiver's newsletter that I get and thought that I could recreate it using Stampin' Up! products. The dies they used were more egg shaped but I was determined to use the Oval framelits dies. And this is how it turned out. Pretty cute!! I also used some punches. The card part is the largest oval that isn't scalloped. I folded a 4 1/4" x 11" in half and then ran it through the big shot using the largest oval. Just make sure to slide the die over the folded part so it leaves the folded edge. This is sponged with Sahara Sand. His hears are the two smallest dies - the smallest one being used for the inside of his ears. The inside part was cut from Marina Mist and then ran through the big shot again with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder and then sponged with Marina Mist. The bigger ones are sponged with Sahara Sand. I adhered the two parts of the ears together and then to the card. The feet are punched with the large oval punch and sponged with Sahara Sand. I added two feet to the front and two to the back so the card would stand. On the back is a little bunny butt punched with the Boho Blossoms punch and sponged with Sahara Sand. The bunny cheeks are punched with the small oval punch and then sponged with Marina Mist. I added some "freckles" on his cheeks with a Sahara Sand marker. Then I ran some linen thread through a Marina Mist button to make whiskers and adhered it to the card. The eyes are large rhinestones colored with a black sharpie. And there you have it! I thought these would be so cute for Easter or even a baby shower! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- none! Paper- Whisper White, Marina Mist; Ink- Sahara Sand, Marina Mist; Accessories- Oval framelits dies, Large Oval punch, Small Oval punch, Boho Blossoms punch, Subtles designer buttons, linen thread, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, rhinestones, black sharpie, sponge

SFF 031513

Good morning, Friends! Are you as happy as I am that it's finally Friday? Woohoo! The Sketch Frenzy Friday team has a fabulous new sketch for you all to try! This week's sketch was created by Jennifer Weide. Take a look!

After seeing the sketch, I had an idea of what I wanted to try. Then I looked in the folder and saw that Tammy had the same idea (and she has a fabulous card!). So I tried really hard to make mine different than hers. Here's what I came up with!

I adhered a piece of Sunshine and Sprinkles designer paper to a card base of Melon Mambo. Then I punched a flower out of a piece of Daffodil Delight with the Blossom punch. I purposefully didn't punch the whole flower. Then I carefully sponged the inside edges with Daffodil ink and drew some dashes with a Basic Grey marker to try and define the flower shape. I stamped the sentiment from Sweet Essentials in Basic Grey. Then I tied a piece of Melon Mambo 3/8" striped organdy ribbon around this and popped it up onto the card. Finally I added a flower that was punched from Melon Mambo using the Boho Blossoms punch. This is adhered to the flower center. I tied a piece of white baker's twine through a vintage faceted designer button and added it to the flower center.

Be sure to visit the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog for more wonderful inspiration! I hope you will join us this week for some fun by uploading your creation to the site! We always love to see what you do with our sketches! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, everyone!! I hope you are having a fabulous week! It's time for the Thursday challenge at Create with Connie and Mary! This week we are being challenged with a sketch. Take a look!

Isn't this just fabulous!!!! Love the clean and simple design! And, yes, Mary loves those square cards - lol! I rarely make square cards so I used the main idea of this sketch and added it to a regular card. And I think it turned out rather swell!

The images in the Lean on Me set are just the sweetest! And I can seriously use them for so many occasions! And they make the easiest cards, ever! So for this card I cut a piece of Marina Mist with the Scallop Squares Duo die and used the larger one. This was adhered to a card base of Naturals White. then I stamped the image from Lean on Me in black StazOn onto a piece of Naturals White and colored it in with a blender pen and markers. I colored the markers onto a stamp case and "lifted" the color using my blender pen. Worked perfectly! The colors I used were Basic Grey, Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist, Pacific Point, Lucky Limeade, Melon Mambo and a little Blush Blossom. This was adhered to a piece of Basic Grey and then popped up onto the scallop square. Then I adhered a strip of Sunshine and Sprinkles designer paper that has the end flagged. Finally I added a button from the Brights Collection with some white baker's twine tied through it.

Be sure to check out the Create with Connie and Mary website for more wonderful inspiration using this fabulous sketch! I hope you will play along with us this week! We always love to see what you do with our challenges! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

TSSC 254

Good morning, Friends! Well, it looks like the allergy monster has hit my son. Ugh!! And right during testing week. Ugh!! How can he do his best when he is constantly sneezing and blowing his nose? Ugh!!! I want to let him sleep it off but he really needs to be at school and he wants to be at school... I guess we will try it. He asked if he could come home right after testing and my husband said yes. I on the other hand will be visiting with my friend that I haven't seen in quite a while!! And I am so excited! We have lots to catch up on!

Today's card was inspired by the Mary Jo's lunchtime sketch. I wanted to try out my new stamps! For this card I embossed a piece of Whisper White with the Cloudy Day embossing folder. To the bottom part I adhered a piece of Sunshine and Sprinkles designer paper. This panel is then popped up onto a card base of Whisper White. Then I stamped the greeting in Basic Grey onto a strip of Whisper White and flagged one end. This is adhered to the card. On a scrap of Whisper White I stamped the umbrella pole in Basic Grey and the top in Melon Mambo. I carefully cut this out and adhered them together before popping it up onto the card. I punched a flower from Daffodil Delight using the Itty Bitty punch pack and added a rhinestone. Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

Seize The Birthday 9

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is off to a great start! I had a "Monday" yesterday. That's all I have to say about that. Glad it's over and I can move on to Tuesday - lol! I did get some stamping done yesterday. Still have more to do as I get ready for the new Card "Create"tions Edition coming up for Create with Connie and Mary. So excited about that! Check out my side bar for more info. More of the same today. At least we will be home earlier. Nick starts his testing today - well all the kids do. Week of testing. He is looking forward to it as it will be a distraction from the regular routine. I told him to hang on for two more weeks and then it's Spring Break! Yea!!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Seize the Birthday. This week was to make a feminine birthday card with the sketch. I love how this site will help keep you up on making birthday cards! Such a great idea! I wanted to try a technique I had been seeing around. For this card I first took a piece of Island Indigo and ran it through the Big Shot using the Argyle embossing folder. This is adhered to a card base of Crumb Cake. Then I took a piece of Crumb Cake and stamped the greeting from Made for You in Island Indigo. This is popped up onto the card. Above the greeting a piece of Island Indigo is adhered down. For the focal point I took a piece of Crumb Cake and embossed the image from Bordering on Romance in white using the VersaMark pad. Then I used markers and a blender pen to color it in. The colors I used were Pool Party, Island Indigo, Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo, So Saffron, Certainly Celery and Old Olive and I outlined the image with a Crumb Cake marker. This panel is then sponged with Crumb Cake and popped up onto the card. I added three rhinestones to the flower centers. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

CAS(E) This 18

Good morning, Friends! Another week. It's that time of year when the days will be flying by! Nick's sports are taking off once again. Soccer every day and then next week he will be doing Middle School track. He is really excited for that! And he has decided that he does not want to play baseball. I'm glad for that as there is no time! Yesterday's soccer scrimmage went very well! And the weather was so beautiful! A little chilly but the sun was shining and starting to warm things up nicely. Pat and Nick went mountain biking and had a super time! Love this time of year!

Today's card was inspired by the challenge at CAS(E) This Sketch. I know that this is a sketch that I will most likely use again! So many wonderful possibilities! I stamped the image from Everything Eleanor in Sahara Sand onto a card base of Sahara Sand. Then I stamped the greeting from Friendly Phrases in Rich Razzleberry onto a strip of Whisper White. I adhered this to a strip of Sycamore Street designer paper that was punched with the scallop edge border punch. I tied a piece of Pool Party ribbon around this and adhered it to the card. Then I tied some white baker's twine through two buttons from the Sycamore Street ribbon and button pack and adhered them to the card. Very simple! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Mojo 283

Good Sunday morning! Did you remember to set your clocks ahead? We did and even went to bed an hour earlier. Doesn't seem to make a difference - lol! But it looks like the sun is going to be shining today! We had a nice rain and it sounds like the mountains had some snow so all is good! Nick will have a soccer game this morning and then I am off to spend the afternoon stitching! I did get my Crazy Quilt pillow done yesterday and I LOVE it!! I hope to have some pictures up on my other sewing blog later this week. It really turned out wonderful!!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Mojo Monday. It looks like I stamped my sentiment a little crooked - ugh! Oh well. I started by taking a piece of Crumb Cake and running it through the Big Shot with the Woodgrain embossing folder and then adhering it to a card base of Crumb Cake. Then I took a piece of of Print Poetry designer paper and adhered it to the card. I stamped the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Midnight Muse onto a piece of Summer Starfruit and added two brads. This is adhered to the card. Then I used the 2 1/2" circle punch to punch a circle from Crumb Cake. I stamped the coral image from By the Tide in Crumb Cake and sponged the edges. This is popped up onto the card. I stamped the fish in Midnight Muse onto Very Vanilla and cut it out and popped it up onto the card. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

FMS 76 & PPA 154

Good morning, Friends! I hope your weekend is going swell! Nick had the day off yesterday so he was able to hook up with a friend and have some fun! I then was able to get some sewing and stamping done. Loved that! Especially since the weather turned icky. Today is more of the same weather wise. So thankful that the mountains are getting snow! And I love the rain! Spring is really here!! Still a little cooler than I'd like but it's not snowing - lol!! Today will be a very nice day to do more sewing and stamping!

Today's card was inspired by two challenges! The sketch at Freshly Made and the color challenge at Pals Paper Arts. I wasn't sure about these colors but the design team has such beautiful cards that I wanted to try it myself. And I am glad I did! I do like the way this came out! I adhered a piece of Crumb Cake to a piece of Calypso Coral designer paper and then tied a piece of Calypso Coral ruffled ribbon around it. This is then adhered to a card base of Calypso Coral. I punched three pieces of Crumb Cake with the Postage Stamp punch from Crumb Cake and sponged the edges with Crumb Cake. These are adhered to squares of Calypso Coral that were punched with the 1 3/8" square punch. I popped these up onto the card. Below the squares I stamped the greeting from Tea Shoppe in Raspberry Ripple. On a scrap of Very Vanilla I stamped the tea cups in Calypso Coral and cut them out. These are popped up onto the squares. I used the Itty Bitty punch pack to punch flowers from Raspberry Ripple and adhered them to each tea cup. A pearl is added to each flower center. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

SFF 030813

Good Friday morning everyone!! Woohoo!! I'm always ready for the weekend - lol! And it looks like we will have a quiet one around here. Sketch Frenzy Friday has a new sketch for you all to try this week! It was created by me!! Take a look!

I saw a card at a stamp store on one of my visits to see a friend and I took a picture. I loved the simplicity of it and decided it would be perfect for a Sketch Frenzy Friday sketch! So here you go! This is what I came up with.

I adhered three strips of designer paper from the In Color stack - Calypso Coral, Pool Party, and Island Indigo. The ends were flagged and I tried to give them some dimension by curling them as well. Then I used the Apothecary Accents framelits dies to cut the shape from Very Vanilla. I stamped the greeting from Bring on the Cake in black StazOn and used markers to color in the letters - Calypso Coral, Pool Party and Island Indigo. I cut a piece of Basic Black to layer behind and added two Island Indigo brads. This panel is popped up onto the card.

Be sure to visit the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog to see what the other designers did with the sketch! I hope that we see your wonderful creations on there this week, too! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

CCMC 242

Good morning, Friends! It's time to reveal another great challenge from the Create with Connie and Mary team! This week we are being challenged with color! Take a look!

I love these colors! Three of the newest In Colors - Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals and Summer Starfruit!! Very fun!! I kept my card simple by using Mary Jo's sketch and came up with this!

I adhered a piece of Print Poetry designer paper to a piece of Raspberry Ripple. I love how the designer paper has two of the challenge colors right in it! This panel is then adhered to a piece of Very Vanilla and then popped up onto a card base of Very Vanilla. I then adhered a strip of Raspberry Ripple card stock with the end flagged and then a strip of Very Vanilla with the end flagged. On the Very Vanilla piece I stamped the greeting from Sweet Essentials in Raspberry Ripple. I used the Beautiful Wings embosslit to cut a butterfly from Summer Starfruit and popped this up onto the card. Then I took a Very Vanilla button and tied some linen thread through it. This is then adhered to the butterfly. Super simple!

Be sure to visit the Create with Connie and Mary website for more great inspiration! I hope to see you all playing along with us this week! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Starfruit Tea

Good morning, Friends! What a beautiful day we had around here yesterday! And there should be more of that today! I also have my last hand stitching class today! My classes are ending which means it's time to pick some new ones to take - lol! I just love to learn new things about quilting! Looks Like I will need to wait until the spring schedule comes out which shouldn't be too long.

Today's card started out to be for a sketch challenge but I just couldn't make anything work so ended up doing my own thing and this is what came out! I adhered a piece of Print Poetry designer paper to a piece of Very Vanilla and then tied a piece of Midnight Muse stitched satin ribbon around it. This panel is popped up onto a card base of Very Vanilla. Then I stamped the sentiment from Tea Shoppe in Midnight Muse onto a circle of Very Vanilla that was cut using the Circles #2 die. This is adhered to a scallop circle that was punched from Midnight Muse using the 2 3/8" scallop circle punch. This is popped up onto the card. On a scrap of Very Vanilla I stamped the tea cup in Summer Starfruit and cut it out. This is popped up onto the circle. I added a flower that was punched from Midnight Muse using the Itty Bitty punch pack and a pearl. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!
