Soft Snow Wishes

Good morning everyone! Are you all as ready for the weekend as I am? Nick has a bike race this weekend so that will be fun but I am really ready to sleep in a little! I haven't been as focused as I would have liked but I hope that changes. My motivation is at an all time low. After I come home from work, I am ready for bed! Lol!!

Today's card was one I did for a recent swap I was in.

  • Card base is Whisper White
  • Adhere a piece of Basic Black to the card base
  • On a piece of Whisper White, adhere a strip of Season of Cheer washi tape to the very left hand side then adhere panel to card
  • On another piece of Whisper White, stamp the two largest snowflake images from Flurry of Wishes stamp set using Soft Sky ink
  • Adhere panel to card with dimensionals
  • Use the Lots of Labels framelits to cut the shape from Whisper White and stamp the greeting using Momento ink
  • Adhere label to card with dimensionals
  • Stamp the smaller snowflakes image onto a piece of Whisper White and punch them out using the Snow Flurry punch
  • Adhere the smallest snowflake to the label
  • Add a small iced rhinestone to snowflake center
Pretty easy card! Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop: Halloween Treat/Favor

Hello everyone and welcome to another fun Saturday blog hop! The Create with Connie and Mary designers are showing you all some fun little treat projects for Halloween! I am your stop after the fabulous Debbie Henderson!

I found a great tutorial from Becky Roberts that showed how to make these fun little file folder treat holders! It's the perfect size to hold a little chocolate! I didn't have any candy to put in it. We try not to have any candy around the house as I tend to eat it all - yikes! So this one is empty but I look forward to finding a special treat to put inside!

  • Cut a piece of Happy Haunting designer paper at 3" x 5" then score at 2 1/4" x 2 1/2"
  • Use the Envelope Punch Board and the paper trimmer to create the file folder tabs on each side of the paper
  • Cut a spider web doily into fourths and adhere to the front of the treat holder
  • Wrap a piece of Very Vanilla thick baker's twine around the holder and tie a bow
  • Stamp the spider image from Howl-o-Ween Treat stamp set using Basic Black archival ink onto a piece of Very Vanilla and cut out using the Boo to You framelits
  • Stamp the greeting from And Many More stamp set onto a strip of Very Vanilla using Basic Black archival ink and flag one end then adhere to back of spider and adhere to treat holder
Super easy and a fun treat to give anyone! I might think about doing this for my students! Time to send you on to see what the fabulous Connie Babbert has created! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Soft Sky Flurry

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is going swell! I had an extra long weekend! I took part of Thursday off so that I could drive to Winter Park to see my son race his last BME! I also took Friday off and then, of course, we had Monday off AND I had Tuesday off for an elementary planning day. So it's back to work for me today! Not overly thrilled but it will be nice to get back into a routine again. I was beginning to think that I could get used to being at home again, lol! Only two more weeks and then we get our fall break! Doesn't feel much like fall around here when it is still so very hot outside! Ugh! So ready to be done with that!

Today's card was an experiment. I needed to come up with a swap card and this one did not make the cut. But I still liked it and wanted to show it off.

  • Card base is Whisper White
  • Cut a smaller piece of Whisper White and adhere a strip of Season of Cheer washi tape down the side of the panel
  • Adhere to a piece of Soft Sky card stock and then to the card base
  • Stamp the snowflake images from the Flurry of Wishes stamp set onto another piece of Whisper White card stock and then adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Stamp the sentiment onto a piece of Whisper White using Basic Black archival ink and punch out using the Note Tag punch and then punch a hole in the top using the 1/8" hole punch
  • Thread a piece of silver baker's twine through the hole and tie a knot
  • Adhere tag to card with dimensionals
  • Stamp the smaller snowflakes onto a piece of Whisper White and punch them out using the Snow Flurry punch
  • Adhere the smaller snowflake to the tag
  • Add an iced rhinestone to snowflake center
Before I sign off I want to leave you with a snippet of what's to come in this month's Create with Connie and Mary mini edition! We are having fun using the new goodies from the Holiday mini catalog! So many great ideas for you to see and use for the upcoming holidays! You won't want to miss it!
