I had fun with this one! It was kind of fun to use a set that I hadn't used in quite awhile, Pennant Parade. Here are the details:

  • Card base is Old Olive
  • Layer of Crumb Cake with two strips of the Season of Style washi tape and then adhered to a layer of Cherry Cobbler then adhere to card base with dimensionals
  • Use the deco labels framelits to cut the shape from Crumb Cake
  • Stamps the pot image from Pennant Parade in Chocolate Chip onto the label and stamp the greeting in Cherry Cobbler
  • Tie a piece Cherry Cobbler baker's twine around the shape
  • Use the 2 1/2" circle punch to punch a circle from Chocolate Chip and then cut it in half and adhere the halves to the back of the label shape then adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Stamp the tree image in Old Olive onto Whisper White and cut out and adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Add a rhinestone to the top of the tree and two under the greeting

Today is also the Thursday challenge from Create with Connie and Mary. This week we are being challenged with a fantastic sketch! Take a look!

I kept my card very simple and stuck pretty much to the sketch. I wanted to put a Thanksgiving greeting in there somewhere but it just didn't look quite right so I left it off. Here are the details:

  • Card base is Soft Sky
  • Layer of Sweater Weather with the top right hand corner rounded is adhered to the card base and then a strip of Chocolate Chip is adhered to the card base, too
  • Stamp the splotches from the Gorgeous Grunge set in Soft Sky onto a piece of Naturals white and round the bottom left hand corner then pop panel up onto card
  • Stamp leaf image from Wonderfall in Crushed Curry onto a piece of Naturals White and cut out then pop up onto card
  • Thread some linen thread through a Naturals designer button and adhere to card
Very simple fall card. One last one before the Christmas season starts!! Be sure to visit the Create with Connie and Mary site for more inspiration! Thanks for stopping by and may you experience many blessings this day!

Good morning, Friends! Once again I am lacking in my daily postings. I am still sewing away on Christmas gifts! My parents arrived yesterday to watch Nick play some basketball games this weekend! His birthday is on Tuesday (OMG - 14 years old) so there is a lot going on right now! But it's all good and I am happy to have at least my challenge cards posted for you all!!

Today's Thursday challenge from the Create with Connie and Mary team is a sketch challenge! Take a look!

And my card...

Love all the possibilities with this sketch! I decided to make a Thanksgiving card. Seems like we overlook that holiday. What a shame! Here are the card details:

  • Card base is Sahara Sand
  • Layer of Sahara Sand was run through the Big Shot using the Woodgrain embossing folder
  • Adhere a strip of Sweater Weather to the right hand side of layer and then adhere to card base with dimensionals
  • Stamp leaf image from Wonderfall in Tangerine Tango onto Whisper White and cut out then pop up onto card
  • Stamp greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Chocolate Chip onto a strip of Whisper White and flag the end then adhere to leaf
  • Tie a piece of linen thread through a Natural designer button and adhere to card
Pretty simple card but I love the pop of that orange against the neutral card stock! It really pops! Reminds me of the fall colors here in Colorado!! Good morning, Friends! I know it's been a while since I've shared anything. I am trying to get ahead on some of my design team commitments because I need to get going on my Christmas gifts! Yikes! I read somewhere that there are only 8 weeks till Christmas! Since I am making a lot of my gifts, I need to get sewing! So that is what I have been up to. But today is the Thursday challenge from the Create with Connie and Mary team. This week they are challenging us with color. Take a look at these beautiful colors!

Aren't they beautiful?! Love these and will be using these again! Smoky Slate, Coastal Cabana, and Real Red. Here's my card.

So I decided to go with a non-traditional Christmas card. While red is a traditional Christmas color, the others - not so much. But I love how the Smoky Slate resembles silver! I recently got this beautiful new photopolymer stamp set called Endless Wishes. I LOVE this set!! I love snowflakes anyway but the words are awesome! Here are the card details:

  • Card base is Real Red cut at 4 1/4" x 11" and folded in half
  • Layer of Smoky Slate cut at 4 1/4" x 2 1/2"
  • Stamp the snowflakes from Endless Wishes in Smoky Slate onto the Smoky Slate layer in a random pattern
  • Strip of Coastal Cabana cut at 4 1/4" x 1" and adhere to back of Smoky Slate layer then adhere to card base
  • Use the Deco Label framelits to cut a label from Whisper White
  • Stamp words from Endless wishes using Real Red and Coastal Cabana then use dimensionals to adhere to card
  • Stamp snowflake from Endless Wishes in Coastal Cabana onto Whisper White and cut out then pop up onto card
  • Add a rhinestone to snowflake center
Be sure to check out the rest of the designers' work at the Create with Connie and Mary website! I hope you will be inspired to play along with us this week!

  • Stamp greeting from Greetings of the Season in Cherry Cobbler
