CCMC 279

Good morning, Friends! And Happy Thanksgiving! We are visiting my family in Kansas and we are all here for the weekend! I love it! I hope you all are having a fantastic day! Today is also the Thursday challenge from Create with Connie and Mary. This week we are being challenged with a fantastic sketch! Take a look!

And my card...

I kept my card very simple and stuck pretty much to the sketch. I wanted to put a Thanksgiving greeting in there somewhere but it just didn't look quite right so I left it off. Here are the details:

  • Card base is Soft Sky
  • Layer of Sweater Weather with the top right hand corner rounded is adhered to the card base and then a strip of Chocolate Chip is adhered to the card base, too
  • Stamp the splotches from the Gorgeous Grunge set in Soft Sky onto a piece of Naturals white and round the bottom left hand corner then pop panel up onto card
  • Stamp leaf image from Wonderfall in Crushed Curry onto a piece of Naturals White and cut out then pop up onto card
  • Thread some linen thread through a Naturals designer button and adhere to card
Very simple fall card. One last one before the Christmas season starts!! Be sure to visit the Create with Connie and Mary site for more inspiration! Thanks for stopping by and may you experience many blessings this day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Wonderfall, Gorgeous Grunge; Paper- Soft Sky, Chocolate Chip, Naturals White, Sweater Weather designer paper; Ink- Soft Sky, Crushed Curry; Accessories- corner rounder, Naturals designer buttons, linen thread, dimensionals

  1. I love how you kept your card simple without a sentiment. And I love the "splotches". I never know what to call them!

  3. As usual...I adore the simple elegance of your cards. You can do SO much with just a few items like the sprinkled background and small twine in the button! It definitely is a skill! Great job with the sketch challenge this week!
