Vellum Banner

Good morning, Friends! Thank goodness it's Friday! I'm looking forward to a very fun weekend! There are still a few more projects that I need to complete this weekend but that shouldn't take a lot of time. Looks like it snowed a little around here. No snow day for the school kids, though, but it's moisture that we needed! In fact it could all be melted by this afternoon. That's the kind of snow that I like this time of year - lol! I will be glad to be indoors most of the day today!

Today's card was inspired by my Pinterest boards. I always forget about using vellum. It's so pretty! Here are the card details:

  • Card base is Whisper White
  • Round the top left hand corner of the card base with the 3/4" circle punch
  • On a layer of Whisper White stamp the heart image from Perfect Pennants in Pink Pirouette and Blushing Bride inks
  • Round the top left hand corner with the 3/4" circle punch and adhere to card base with dimensionals
  • Stamp the greeting from Perfect Pennants in black StazOn onto a piece of vellum and cut out using the Banners framelits
  • Put a little adhesive at the top of the vellum and adhere to card
  • Adhere a strip of Blushing Bride over the vellum where the adhesive was placed
  • Stamp the heart image again onto a piece of Whisper White using Blushing Bride ink and cut out
  • Adhere heart to card with dimensionals
  • Add a rhinestone to the heart
There you have it! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!!

Washi Hearts

Good morning, Friends! Is another week really starting? And was there a weekend in between - lol? I guess ready or not here is Monday! At least it looks to be a quiet week with the normal practices but that's about it. I was able to get a lot of quilting done on my plus quilt and I should finish it up today. Then I need to quilt my snowman quilt and get the binding sewn on both. But that may have to wait till next week? We will see. Have to figure out the rest of my schedule first…

He made dinners, desserts, served us and cleaned up so that we could focus on sewing and quilting! Now how wonderful is that?! Thank you Larry!! I am really excited about them! So I will be on the road today. Looks to be great weather once again!
