Love

Hello all! We are on our way home! Tell you more later.

This card layout is one I found in a magazine (I think). I just love this stamp from the new Love You Much set (available December 23). The heart in the middle of the love was stamped and then punched with the new heart punch which is part of this bundle. Too cool!! Another super easy card! Thanks for stopping by!

Friend

Happy Friday! It's a big shopping day! I am so glad to not be out there! We are still at Disneyland and will be back tomorrow.

Today's card is a layout that I copied from the most recent Cards Magazine. I also used the new Love You Much stamp set (available December 22) - I think that I had the date wrong in another post. Such a CUTE set and CUTE paper and a super CUTE new punch! Love it!! This is a super simple card and layout. I hope that you are inspired. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Thanksgiving Eve

I am pre-posting these next few days so I probably won't have a lot to say. I'm sure you all probably appreciate that!! Well, I will have a lot to say when I get back! Ha!

Anyway, I couldn't resist another Thanksgiving card. I will have one more tomorrow that I totally copied from someone else. But I just couldn't resist! I had this layout sketched so I decided to use it. I really like the way it turned out and it is super simple! I have really fallen in love with the little library clips! I hope that you all get inspired as well! Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Together

Good afternoon by blogging friends! Can you hear the proverbial fat lady singing? Well, she is!! The kids are gone and in a few short hours we will be on our way to St. George for the first leg of our trip! So I thought that I had better get a post up before I get too distracted!

I also have to thank Laura Brown. She has given me the Kreative Blogger Award! WOW! I have never received an award before! I think that I will need some instruction on what to do next - LOL! But I will wait until I get back from vacation. Thank you Laura! Be sure to check out her blog. Lots of wonderful things to see there!

This is a card that I came up with last Friday evening. My friend, Sherry, brought her new valentine bundle (that will be offered December 1). Love it!! I had to go home and order my very own, too! The greeting comes from the Happy Everything set. I punched out the birds with my scallop punch and then used my Becky's 2" scallop punch to layer with. I think I need that 2" scallop punch as well!! Very simple card. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Autumn Vine Patches

Good evening all! I am sorry to post this later but there is so much to do!! And things are kind of crazy at school right now that I didn't find the time to post there either. So, here I am!

This card layout was a sketch that I have had for quite a while. I have always wanted to try it but just hadn't quite figured out how to make it all work. So, yesterday, I sat down and kept trying and then came up with this. I think it turned out pretty nice. It's really easy to do. I think that I made my squares 1 1/8" and then I had to cut off my end pieces just a tad. Not an exact science but it does work and no one knows the difference! Yes, it's another Best Wishes & More card! Hope you aren't sick of them. I don't have anymore planned in the near future but it sure is a great set! Thanks for stopping by!

Kind Thanks

Good late morning everyone! I have been up and around for awhile but I forgot that I wanted to post this card until now. So, here I am! My family and I are leaving for Disneyland on Tuesday (right after school) and driving part way. Then we will end up in California on Wednesday. We are going to spend Thursday and Friday in the park and then come home on Saturday. We are so excited!!! This is really the first ever family vacation that we have taken - and Nick is 9! I think that it is time!! Anyway, since we won't be home on Thanksgiving, we are making our big meal today. We weren't going to do anything but we just love the food and the smell and the warm cozy feeling that you are left with (if that makes any sense). So, lots going on today.

This card came from a sketch that I had. I think that this is one of my very favorite cards! I just LOVE how this turned out! I love it when I can find a sketch that really 'works'. So, you will probably see me use it again!! I even pulled out my clips assortment! I tend to buy these things and then never use them. But it looks so great with this layout! Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by!

Pocket Silhouettes

Good morning! The weekend is finally here!! Last night I got to spend some time stamping with some really good friends, Sherry and Becky! Sherry brought her new stamp set, designer paper and punch. She let me use it, so I have some cards to show that don't use the Best Wishes & More stamp set! Aren't you excited? These cards will be coming this next week. The stamp set, designer paper and punch are bundled as a special from Stampin' Up!. I think that they will be available for customer order after the first of December (need to look that one up). Anyway, it's a bundle that I am going to order this morning! The stamp set is valentine and the punch is a set of three different sized hearts that match a stamp from the set. The paper has reds, pinks and browns in it. LOVE it!!

But now back to the present card... I really love how this card turned out. VERY simple. I found a sketch that I wanted to try and this set seemed to fit just right. I wanted the Not Quite Navy to be my base card but if you know me at all, you know that I don't like my brads (or ribbon) to show on the other side of the card. So, to remedy that I made the inside card a "tad" smaller to cover up the back side of my brads. I'm sure that has been thought up by much more clever people than I but I thought that I was brilliant! Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Ready For Snow?

Well, maybe not yet. And it doesn't look like there will be any chance of snow here for quite a while. The temperatures are quite pleasant at the moment and it looks like it will stay that way. But I couldn't resist the title.

This card layout is similar to one I have done fairly recently. I really like the simplicity of the layout and that's why I chose to use it again (and possibly and again and again). A very simple layout. The hardest or most tedious part is cutting out the snowflake. But it just looks so much cuter with it cut out. And, I even used Pacific Point! That is a color that is so hard for me to use. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! It's finally Friday!!!

Autumn Vine Hi

Good afternoon! I am posting much later than usual due to the fact that we have had an usual lunch time. We got served a Thanksgiving dinner at lunch. It was so yummy!! I am so full now and could really use a long nap. But no such thing right now as I have to keep these kids going for another hour. Right now they are reading so I thought I would sneak in a post.

This is a card layout that I have used before. I just changed the paper and the colors. It's really easy and pretty self-explanatory. I hope that it inspires you! Thanks for stopping by!

Wishing You...

Good afternoon! I hope that your Wednesday is going great! Mine is going pretty good so far! My son's birthday is today!! I can't believe that it's been nine years!! YIKES! We have a lot of fun stuff planned for this evening. And, he is so excited as he will not have any homework tonight. He was so sweet today. He wanted donuts for his class treat so we got a box of assorted and a box of glazed. He was so excited to give his extras out to the other teachers. So, he came to my room first with my very favorite donut!! Now wasn't that sweet? He saved my favorite donut just for me!!! Sometimes he can be so darn sweet. Don't get me started on the other times!

On to the card... Another Best Wishes & More card! Tired of it yet? I hope not! I still have a few more!! But I am glad that I am getting all this use out of this set. I saw this card layout somewhere and just had to try it out. This was my version. It's a 3 x 6 card. These sizes can be so fun! A pretty simple card... Thanks for stopping by!

Hawaii Best Wishes

Good afternoon! I only have a few minutes but wanted to make sure I got my post in for the day!

I really liked the way this card turned out! I think that I got this card sketch from Splitcoast, but now I can't rightly remember. Anyway, it did come from a sketch. Anytime that I find a card sketch or a card layout that I really like, I sketch it into my sketch pad and try to use it at some point. Again, I was trying to stay away from Christmas so I found myself using the Best Wishes & More set. Love it!! I hope that you are inspired by it as well. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Autumn Thank You

Good morning! Here I am posting on my blog when I should be grading papers and filing. I kind of got behind so now I am just procrastinating even further. Yeah, not good. So, I guess I will make this short and get back to work!

This layout came from one of Beate's sketches. She had posted it a while ago but I hadn't gotten around to doing anything with it. So, yesterday, while I was at Becky's, I decided to try it. And, here is my result! I rather like it. I hope that you like the Best Wishes & More stamp set because you are going to get a load of this set this week! I love that set! It is so versatile and I guess that's why I used it so much. I was also trying to stay away from Christmas cards for a little while longer. Anyway, I hope that you are inspired to try the layout! Thanks for stopping by!

Daisy Spotlight

Good Sunday morning! I hope that you all had a great weekend! It sure went by fast!! I will be spending my day doing laundry and then it's off to Becky's to try and get some more cards done!!
I can't remember if I shared this card with you all or not. I have run out of ideas for the moment and then I came across this card. This is one I did at the shoebox club that I am in. I got it from someone else but I loved how it turned out. The flower is one of our new brads. These flowers come with a brad that you put in the center to attach it to the card. But, instead of doing that, I knotted my ribbon and poked both ends down through the center and wrapped that around my card. Just a different way of doing the flowers. I stamped the Upsy Daisy stamp twice - once in Kiwi Kiss and once in Not Quite Navy. I used my large circle punch and punched out the Not Quite Navy one and popped it up on the Kiwi Kiss image. Kind of a spotlight technique. Anyway, I hope that it inspires you! Have a great day!

Valentine's Card

Good morning my friends! I just want to say "Thank You" to everyone for all your wonderful comments! You are the best! I feel so blessed to have many people out there looking at my blog and enjoying what they see. Thank you!!!

This card layout started out to be a copy of a card that I saw in a PaperCrafts magazine. However, not having the same supplies as the card in the magazine, I had to change a few things and the more I changed the more it didn't look like the card that I was copying. Here is my result. I liked the way it turned out. I also really like this stamp. It is in the Holiday mini catalog. On this card I used the greeting 'Happy Valentine's Day' but I think that it could be an anniversary card as well. The dandelion has tiny hearts on it that are blowing away. On this stamp there are the words 'Wishing you a happy heart', but I chose to cover those up and just use the dandelion. Anyway, I did like the simplicity of this card. I hope that it inspires you! Take care and have a great weekend!!

Best Wishes Autumn Vine

Good afternoon! It's finally Friday! This seems like a really long day already and I am only half way through! Just a little further. I know that I can make it. Somebody can shoot me now. I am going to do a craft with the kids this afternoon (after a big test). We are going to make turkey candle holders. No, it's not stamping related but it sure turned out cute! I will post a picture of it early next week. Next Thursday our school makes a Thanksgiving meal for the entire school (FREE). Everything is donated including the help. It's always a fun time and I thought these candle holders would be a great decoration to the tables.

Anyway, enough of that. On to the card! This card layout is another of Becky's. Surprised? Thankfully, I will be going to her card class on Monday and getting some more ideas. I am running out. I did like the way it turned out. I hope that it inspires you! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Fancy Flower

Hello everyone! Another quick post since I will have recess duty in a few minutes. Oh joy! So I am trying to stuff my lunch down my throat and type at the same time.

Today's card started with a layout that I got from my friend, Becky, at on of her card classes a few months ago. Well, it ended up looking nothing like her card which is fine because I really like this one. It's just funny how that happens sometimes. Anyway, it is a simple card. I purposefully stamped the stem off the cardstock so that I flower would look like more three dimensional. I hope that you are inspired as well! Thanks for stopping by!

Garden Tea

Good afternoon! I am posting really quick. Our class won a contest and so we are going to have an ice cream party right after they get back from recess. So, not much time to eat, set up and post (as I already had to do lunch duty).

This layout was one that my friend, Becky did at one of her classes last month. Of course she used different paper and colors. But the layout is pretty much the same. It's a pretty simple card and self-explanatory. I do hope that it inspires you, too! I do hope to get home early tonight and post a color inspiration challenge card but we will see... Thanks for stopping by!

Leafy Thank You

Good morning! I have a bit of time this morning to get a quick post up.

When I was at my friend, Becky's, house on Sunday, I decided to copy some of her card class layouts. This is one of her layouts. I really like this Autumn Vine paper from the Holiday mini catalog. And, since I am trying to stay away from Christmas cards for a while, I wanted to do something that went along with the season. Well, it is a season of giving thanks and that's what I went with. I am sure that I will be back to posting Christmas cards again very soon! But I do want to use up some of this other paper, too. Anyway, it is a pretty simple and self-explanatory card. Not too much to tell. Thanks for stopping by and thanks for all your wonderful comments! You are the best!!

Eastern Greetings

Good afternoon! It's only Monday and I am already feeling behind the eight ball! But, I did want to get a post up to let you all know that I did find some stamping mojo while at my friend, Becky's, house. It started out kind of slow but then started up and went pretty strong! I got a good week's worth of cards done! And the best part? Well, Becky told me that her daughter was wanting some cards to be able to send to people that she knows. And I said, "Well, count me in!" I was getting concerned about what to do with so many cards.

Today's card is from a sketch that I found on Splitcoast Stampers. This one is not Christmas. I tried really hard to stay away from Christmas and just focus on the season at hand. Christmas will be here soon enough. No need to hurry it along! Anyway, I really like the way it turned out and it was pretty simple! The most tedious part was cutting out the flowers. I do hope that you can find some inspiration from this layout as well. Thanks for stopping by!

A Pretties Card

Good Sunday morning everyone! I was in a panic this morning as I did not have anything to post. And I really want to keep up with this by posting everyday. I know that may seem insane but it does keep me stamping and that is what I love to do! But I think that my stamping mojo is on a temporary vacation as I am having a hard time knowing what to do. I don't even know which stamp set to use or colors or nothing. I am just at a loss! I am going to Becky's later today (after the laundry is done) and, hopefully, I will find my mojo there. We will see. If you don't hear from me for a while it's because I am looking for it!!

This card is a layout that I had done a looooong time ago. I did not like the card but I did like the layout. So, I switched it all up and here is what came up. It's not bad. And, it is very simple! Instead of stamping and cutting out a flower I dusted off my pretties kit and picked some flowers from there. Much simpler!! Well, I hope that you get inspired today! Thanks for stopping by!

Calendar Topper

Good Saturday morning to you all! It felt so good to sleep in! And it feels even better to have to not rush off to a soccer game or a volleyball game! I can just relax with my stamps and a cup of coffee! The bad news, well, my hard work of stamping so many cards for the blog has caught up with me. I had nothing for today! So, I went on a hunt. And here's what you all get to see for today. Tomorrow I plan on going to Becky's for the better part of the day and getting more cards done! And I do hope to be able to participate in Kristina's color challenges from now on (but we will see). Thank you all for your wonderful and kind comments! I just love reading them over and over and over... Really, you guys are the best!!

I am in a shoebox club. We are a group of 6 ladies that like to get together once a month and stamp. Each of us makes one project (card or some small item) and then cuts and provides the supplies to make that card or item for all the other ladies to make. There are no rules as to what you have to use so I get a lot of variety of items. I just love that! Anyway, on of the ladies had these calendars made for something else but she had some extra for us and asked if we wanted to do calendar toppers. What a great idea!! We each drew for our months and I got June and December. I wasn't too worried about December but what to do with June? So, I just got out my most favorite stamp set and came up with this. Everyone seemed to really like it. I hope you do to. When I get December's done I will post that one, too. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Merry Christmas Label

Hello everyone! I do have to make this one quick as the kiddos will be coming in from recess any second.

Today's card is a big possibility for my Christmas card! I found this layout somewhere and adapted it to this. I do love the way it turned out! And it is really simple! I think I am going to try a variety of ways to make up this card and with different colors. Thanks for stopping by and thank you all for your wonderful comments about my color challenge card. You are the best!!

Ski Slope Snowflake

Hello everyone! I hope that you are all having a great day so far! The air is crisp here and the kids are coming in from being outside with rosy cheeks. I have a little bit of time before my rosy-cheeked kiddos come in. So, here I am posting!

This card's layout was copied from somewhere. I can't remember exactly but I really liked the card that I saw. Mine, well, not so much. It's o.k. and it'll do for the blog but it's not my favorite. This is really simple and I do love the colors from the Ski Slope designer paper (found in the Holiday mini catalog). Nothing much to have to explain so enjoy your day!

Color Inspiration #29

Hello again! I have really missed being able to participate in Kristina's color challenge each week. But today I found some time to quickly put together this card for this challenge. This one was really hard for me but this is what I came up with. These bright colors are out of my comfort zone. So, I took a layout that I have already done before and switched the colors around. I am always glad to get some ideas for the Pacific Point color as that is a tough one for me to use. Check out what others have done with the colors here.

Kiwi Christmas

Hello everyone! Sorry about the 'cheesy' title but I am running out of things to say! Did you know that today is Donut Day? Neither did I. Our second grade teacher, and a good friend of mine, told that to us today in staff meeting. And she was nice enough to bring donuts in to help celebrate! So, that's what I am doing right now. The kids are in music and I am breathing!

Today's card is a BIG possibility for my Christmas card. I really like how this turned out and this could work for so many different patterned papers!. I just chose to use the new Frosty paper from the mini catalog. I really like the paper because it is so different but it is hard to find uses for the tangerine color during the holiday season. But this is what I came up with. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!! Weekend is almost here!

Happy Election Day!

Good evening fellow bloggers! I have to make this short. So much to do!! I hope that you all got out and voted today! This is a very important day for all of America!

I was going through some of my old cards the other day when I stumbled upon a card with this layout. I really liked the card and thought that I could re-use the layout using different papers, colors, embellishments, etc. And here is what happened! I really like the way it turned out! I like the different colors. Not the traditional Christmas colors. Another possibility for my Christmas card... Thanks for stopping by!

A Happy Heart

Good afternoon everyone! I hope that your November is off to a great start. I think that I heard on the radio this morning that there is 51 more days till Christmas? Is that right? Oh my! I guess I had better get to thinking about what I need to do before then! I guess it's so hard for me to believe because the weather has been so incredibly warm!

Today's card is a real switch from what I have been doing and showing. This set, A Happy Heart, is from the Holiday mini catalog which you can order from until January. I really like this set. You can use it for Valentine's Day or make anniversary cards with it or just to say I (heart) U. In this card I paired the set up with the Bella Rose designer paper. I got the layout idea from a book from Close To My Heart. It's different and I think that I like the way it turned out. I made this card so long ago that I hope I give you all the right ingredients. Thanks for stopping by!

Embossing Floders

Good Sunday morning everyone! Well, my volleyball season is officially over!! Ahhhh! Now it's back to the normal kind of crazy. Let me tell you what happened yesterday (so sorry if you don't want to know lol). Our school has two teams. The 'A' team which is made up of 7th and 8th graders who have played for at least one year (most of them two). Then there is the 'B' team which is made up mostly of 6th graders and for most of them it is their first year. So, with two teams there are two coaches (although I do not like being called a coach, I am just a 'helper'). Because of how the two teams placed and and the results of their pre-tournament games, both teams had to play at the same time yesterday. Guess what that meant? Yep! I had to coach. Well, I took over the 'B' team. I cannot even begin to describe how well they played!! It was so exciting!! They beat the top two teams in two games to go to the championship!! That's right! We went undefeated to the last game. Then things turned around. And, while I really hate to lose, I can't complain about how well they did. We ended up taking 2nd in the tournament and third in the season! It was so exciting!!

O.k. enough about that. On to the card. This is a card I did a while ago. In fact, I think that there is another card that is very close to this one. I actually used printed paper from Close To My Heart. I had gotten these really cool embossing folders and wanted to try them out. Now that I have my way cool Big Shot I can use some of these things. It's pretty self-explanatory and simple. I hope that it inspires you! Have a great day!!

More Snow Swirled

Happy November everyone! I can't believe how quickly this year is going! Christmas will be here before I know it and I am not sure that I will be ready - YIKES! I have had so much fun making Christmas cards for swaps and for the blog. Maybe by the time Christmas comes I will have enough to mail without having to make new ones! Ha ha!! The only thing about cards like this one is that big knot. I am not sure how that would make it through the mail. But, I do have people that I will probably just give a Christmas card to instead of mailing so maybe I could use it for that instead?

Anyway, it is another snow swirled Christmas card. I really like this set. However, last Sunday I did come up with a few other Christmas ideas that use the Big Shot. I can't wait to show you those! So, stay tuned! Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend! I am off to Delta for a volleyball tournament - oh joy!! Who knows how late we will be. I just pray that the teams play their best.
