Good morning, Friends! It's Thursday and that means another challenge at Create with Connie and Mary! This week's challenge is to get inspired by this really FUN cake! Take a look...

There is a whole lot going on here and it was hard for me to focus but here is what I came up with...

I took the colors, the flowers and the diamond pattern as my inspiration for this card. I used the same color of cardstock for the diamonds as the card and then sponged that same color onto the edges of each diamond. I got the diamonds from a punch that I had purchased from another store - a non SU punch. But I really like the look of the diamonds. I used the basic pearls because of the pearls around the cake and the colors that I saw were Blushing Bride, Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz, and Cherry Cobbler. And even though the cake seems to be sort of whimsical, it is still elegant and that is what I was going for on this card.
