Today's card was the card I did with my shoebox club that met last night. This set, Word of Art, is one that demonstrators received at the Catalog Premier Party last month. I really love this set but it did have me stumped. I wasn't sure how to use it. Weird, I know. But I do like how this one turned out. I got my color combination from the colourQ challenge. Because Sage Shadow is retired, I didn't use that color. Here are the details:
- Card base is Pear Pizzazz
- Stamp the circle image from Work of Art in Pear Pizzazz several times along one edge of the card base and stamp some circles without reining
- On a piece of Whisper White, stamp the chevron image using Pink Pirouette ink and a sponge (I sponged the ink onto the stamp instead of putting the stamp directly into the ink) three times
- Adhere panel to a piece of Strawberry Slush card stock and then adhere to card with dimensionals
- Made a tag from a piece of vellum by cutting the corners and flagging the bottom
- On the back side of the tag, stamp the image in Strawberry Slush and let dry (you can blot it or use a heat tool to speed the drying)
- On the front side, stamp the words in black StazOn
- Fold a piece of Pink Pirouette ribbon in half and adhere to tag with glue dots
- Tie a piece of white baker's twine through a vintage faceted button and adhere to tag (I curled the ends of the baker's twine with my finger nails)
- Adhere tag to card by strategically placing glue dots behind the ribbon
- Stamp the heart onto a piece of Whisper White using Strawberry Slush and cut out then adhere to card with dimensionals
- Add a rhinestone to the heart
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a super day!
