Good morning, Friends! Today is Thursday and that means another challenge at Create with Connie and Mary! Today's challenge is a color challenge. The colors to use for this challenge are Pacific Point, Bashful Blue, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi and Basic Black. I have to be honest. Anything with Pacific Point really scares me. Not because it is a bad color. It is just so bold and bright and I am not sure how to use it properly. So I decided to use it VERY sparingly!! And you may think that I cheated a little on this card. But I did use ALL the colors for this card and I really like the way it turned out! It is hard to use that many colors on a card at the same time because they might fight for attention. But I think that I got it right on this one.
For this card I used the same technique that we did at convention with this same set. I took my Bashful Blue and colored the flowers on the stamp. Then I took my Pacific Point markers and just scribbled a little on top of the Bashful Blue. Then I colored the leaves and stems with the Daffodil Delight marker and went over the top of that with my Wild Wasabi marker (just a hit a miss motion). Then I took a spray bottle of water and just misted the stamp and stamped it onto watercolor paper. I accented with a little Basic Black paper and button. And there you have it! All five colors!! So don't forget to stop by Create with Connie and Mary and see the other design team submissions to give you even more inspiration. Then come up with your own and post it! I look forward to see how everyone else uses these great colors!
