Blooming Vellum

Good morning, everyone! I think that I am getting back to the land of the living. Ugh! My allergies have taken over and I can't seem to get rid of them! I have been really sick. We came home Sunday evening from the basketball tournament and I went straight to bed. Today I feel like I have dried up a bit but I still have the raging migraine. I hope that I will be able to get rid of that soon. So very miserable!! And I hope that it doesn't hurt as bad so I can get back to doing some stamping! I've gotten some new goodies that I want to play with! By the way… our boys lost to the other Fruita team (there were enough Fruita boys to make two teams) in the semi-finals. Bummer!! But it was a very fun weekend!

Today's card was an experiment. I wanted to see what this stamp would look like embossed on vellum and then sponged with color behind it. I think it came out o.k. Not my favorite but it's not terrible. Here are the details:

  • Card base is Crumb Cake
  • I adhered a piece of Fresh Prints designer paper to a piece of Whisper White (both the same size) together
  • Stamp the flower image from Blooming Kindness onto a piece of vellum that has been flagged at the bottom using VersaMark and emboss with white emboss powder
  • On the back of the vellum piece, use a sponge dauber and Coastal Cabana ink to apply color
  • Adhere the vellum piece to the dsp by using mini brads in the top corners
  • Tie a piece of Crumb Cake 3/8" taffeta ribbon around the panel and then adhere to card base with dimensionals
  • Stamp the greeting from Blooming Kindness in black StazOn onto the card
Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!
