Good Sunday morning everyone! I must have really over done it yesterday. My day ended with a lot of pain in my head. So I called it a day early and went to bed. This morning I don't feel great either. My husband thought that this might come and go. Gee, I was just hoping it would go!! Lol! So today I had better just take it easy and watch some football with a few naps in between. That doesn't sound like a bad day!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at iSpy. Such an easy sketch! I love it! I stamped the greeting in Cherry Cobbler onto a piece of Very Vanilla and rounded the top corner with my 1 1/4" circle punch. Then I adhered this to a piece of Cherry Cobbler and popped up the panel onto a card base of Gumball Green. Then I stamped the tree from Scentsational Season in Gumball Green onto a piece of Very Vanilla and cut it out using the Holiday Collection framelits dies. This is popped up onto the card. Then I used the Holiday Collection framelits dies to cut the star from the bronze glimmer paper and that is adhered to the card. Very simple!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning everyone! It looks to be a great weekend around here! I just want to thank everyone for your well wishes with my shingles! Your nice comments mean so much to me!! I am SO happy to report that I am doing much better! The rash is starting to get crusty and gross but I think that means it is going to go away very soon so that's what I am happy about - lol! And, while I still have pain, it's not unbearable and something I can deal with. Also, I am up and about and can do things like I normally do! So yesterday I stamped three cards!! I did get a little dizzy and some of the cards I am not totally thrilled with but they will do for now. I tried playing along with various challenges and I feel like I came up short but, again, it was a start and it felt good to get back into the craft room! Yea!!! No soccer games this weekend so I can really rest up! Because the next four weeks we travel!! 

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made. Again, I am not sure that it turned out like I would have wanted but I really like the way the leaf came out!! I got this new leaf set and matching die and a new embossing folder earlier this week but was too sick to play with it. The colors around our area are SO beautiful right now! In fact, this weekend is Color Sunday! Anyway, I wanted to make my leaf resemble the colors that are going on right now. So I took a piece of More Mustard card stock and cut my leaf. Then I inked up the matching stamp from the Wonderfall stamp set with More Mustard and used a sponge to sort of dab off some of the ink. Then I used sponges and Early Espresso and Raspberry Ripple inks to sponge around and on top of the leaf. I ran the leaf through the Big Shot with the Woodgrain embossing folder. Then I took a spray bottle with water and spritzed the leaf until all the colors ran together! I love that part!! And this is what I got!! It's also cool because when the leaf dries, you can sort of "shape" the leaf and that's what I tried to do with dimensionals and glue dots. But back to the card... So a piece of Early Espresso is adhered to a card base of More Mustard. On top of this I adhered a strip of the new bronze glimmer paper (absolutely gorgeous) and then stamped the greeting from Perfectly Penned in Early Espresso. I adhered my leaf with dimensionals and glue dots and then added a bronze button with some linen thread. I called it done! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

The Sketch Frenzy Friday team has made some great changes and we are excited to bring them to you all this week! Before I tell you about them let's look at the great sketch that was created by Maria Vanerform!

A wonderful clean sketch! And I needed that with my shingles and all! Something I didn't need to think too much about. So here is my card...

I got some new toys the other day and they have had to sit on my desk because I am just unable to do a whole lot right now. I was tired of being in bed all day and I wanted to play with my toys. So to my craft room I went! I stamped the little gingerbread dudes from the Scentsational Season set three times on Very Vanilla and then cut them out with the Holiday Collection framelits dies. The two outer dudes are adhered to a piece of Crumb Cake and the middle one is popped up. This panel is adhered to a piece of Early Espresso. I wrapped a piece of Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon around a piece of Crumb Cake and then adhered this to a card base of Cherry Cobbler. I popped up the panel of gingerbread dudes onto the card. Then I stamped the greeting from Sweet Essentials in Early Espresso. Finally I added a hear that was punched from Cherry Cobbler using the owl builder punch and added a rhinestone.

Good morning, Friends! Welcome to another great challenge from the ladies at Create with Connie and Mary! This week we are being challenged with color! Take a look at these fantastic colors!

Cherry Cobbler, Pink Pirouette and Baja Breeze. So pretty!! They don't look like fall colors but I thought they could work for Christmas. So that is the direction I went. Take a look...

I thought these colors would look great with the mitten set but I don't own that one so I went in the direction of a Christmas ornament. I found my Delightful Decorations set and used it to stamp the ornament in Pink Pirouette onto Whisper White and then I punched it out with the ornament punch. Then I stamped the center part in Cherry Cobbler and punched it out with the 3/4" circle punch. This is popped up onto the ornament with a rhinestone in the star center. On the back of the ornament I added some linen thread for a "hanger". The ornament is then popped up onto a snowflake that I die cut out of Baja Breeze card stock with the Snow Flurry die. The snowflake is then popped up onto a Whisper White panel that is layered onto a piece of Cherry Cobbler. This panel is then popped up onto a card base of Whisper White. Lots of popping up - lol!!

Good morning everyone! I hope you are all doing well. I have to confess that I am not. Yesterday before we left my friend Sherry's house I was not feeling very good and my eye was almost swollen shut. A five hour drive home and I slept most of the way. My stomach wasn't upset or anything but I just felt awful and my head hurt!! Poor Becky! I was just an awful passenger. I went to the doctor right when I got home and he has diagnosed me as having shingles. What??? Anyway, I am up this morning trying to do what I normally do and it is very hard. :( But I will try to press on...

My card today was inspired by last week's challenge at The Paper Players to use banners on a clean and simple card. And here's mine! I stamped the jar Perfectly Preserved in Early Espresso onto a panel of Very Vanilla then the stem in Lucky Limeade and then the flowers in Island Indigo. I pierced a circle around the flowers with the paper piercing essentials pack. I added three banners made from the Orchard Harvest designer paper and popped this panel up onto a card base of Very Vanilla. Then I stamped the greeting by inking just the words with an Island Indigo marker. Finally, I added three rhinestones. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!

Good morning everyone! Wow! Another week and the last week of September!! Can this really be? I am going to be making this really short as we are heading home today. Time to get back to reality and my routine. Oh what fun we had!! You are the best, Sherry!!

Today's card was inspired by last week's sketch at iSpy. I layered a piece of designer paper from the Orchard Harvest pack onto a card base of Crumb Cake. Then I cut three strips from Early Espresso and adhered them to the card. The a strip of Crumb Cake was adhered with the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamped in Early Espresso. Then I took a piece of Very Vanilla and embossed it with the oval Designer Frame embossing folder and cut it out. This is popped up onto the card. I stamped the ear of corn from Perfectly Preserved onto Very Vanilla using Lucky Limeade, More Mustard and Cajun Craze markers. This was cut out using the Cannery framelits dies. Good morning, Friends! Today is our last full day here at our good friend's house. Boo :( But we have a full day of stitching planned! And I am excited to get a lot done! We had a most awesome time at the quilt show yesterday and even spent some time visiting a few of our favorite quilt and wool shops! Of course I spent way too much money but I love everything that I purchased! I won't get to most of them this year but they will be waiting for me next fall! The two big kits that I got are more fall oriented. Who knows? I may be so excited that I can't wait and I end up starting soon! And we can't forge that the Broncos play today! Go Broncos!!!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made. This sketch was a little challenging. I did start over a few times before I was happy. Still not sure about it but at least I don't hate it - lol! I layered strips of the designer paper from the Orchard Harvest pack onto a panel of More Mustard and then onto a piece of Early Espresso and then popped the whole thing up onto a card base of More Mustard. Then I punched a Very Vanilla circle with the 2 1/2" circle punch and stamped the pear from Perfectly Preserved in More Mustard and the stem in Early Espresso. This is layered onto a scallop circle of Early Espresso that was cut from the Perfect Pennants die. This is popped up onto the card. Then I stamped the second pear in Lucky Limeade and the stem in Early Espresso onto a scrap of Very Vanilla and cut it out using the Cannery framelits dies. I popped this pear up onto the card. CASology: Week 11

Good morning, Friends! Are you ready for a great weekend? I am visiting my good friend Sherry this weekend! We are going to the big quilt show today! Becky and I brought along all our fun stitching to do and I am looking forward to a great visit and crafting time! The weekend will go by really fast so we are going to enjoy every minute!

Today's card was inspired by the challenge at CASology. The cue word is white. This is my kind of challenge as I love to use a lot of white space on my cards! So I used my Snow Flurry die for this. I cut all three snowflakes out using Whisper White card stock. I layered the two smaller ones together with a silver brad. These are popped up onto the bigger one. Then I flagged both ends of a strip of silver glimmer paper and adhered this to a card base of Whisper White. I popped the snowflakes up onto the card. At the bottom I stamped the greeting from Sweet Essentials in Basic Grey. Done! A super easy and elegant card! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good Friday morning everyone!! I am so excited it's Friday!! I get to go see my friend across the mountains this weekend! It's been a while and I can't wait!! But Friday also means that Sketch Frenzy Friday has a new challenge! This week's sketch is provided by Kim Innis. Take a look! 

And my card...

Not much stamping on this one! I haven't played a lot with this new Snow Flurry die but it is glorious!! And with the glimmer paper it really shines!! This card is really simple! I adhered a piece of Very Vanilla to a card base of Cherry Cobbler. Then I adhered a piece of Gumball Green with an end flagged. Then I adhered the largest snowflake from the Snow Flurry die that was cut from the silver glimmer paper. Next came a circle that was punched from Cherry Cobbler and then the two smaller snowflakes that I attached together using a silver brad. These are popped up onto the circle. Then I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Cherry Cobbler and tucked in between the snowflake layers. A fun, bright and festive card!

Good morning everyone! It's time for the Thursday challenge from the Create with Connie and Mary team! This week we are being challenged with a sketch! Take a look!

And my card...

I wasn't sure if I was completely happy with this but I decided to go with it. I had seen some cards done with this set where the image wasn't colored. And I thought that it was a great way to show off this stamp! Cause sometimes you just don't want to have to color it all in, right? :) And because I didn't color in the image, the card came together very quickly! I took a piece of Very Vanilla and ran it through the Big Shot with the Apothecary Accents framelits die. Then I stamped the image from Winter Memories in Always Artichoke to the left. I cut off the other end of the frame and adhered it to a card base of Always Artichoke. Then I added a strip of Cherry Cobbler. For my two accent pieces I cut two snowflakes using the Snow Flurry die from silver glimmer paper. The smaller one is adhered to the card with a rhinestone in the center. And the bigger one is popped up onto the card. I stamped the sentiment in Always Artichoke onto a strip of Very Vanilla and flagged one end. This is adhered to the snowflake.

Good morning, Friends! We made it to the middle of the week! For some reason we were all really tired last night! Even Nick put himself to bed and that rarely happens! I was able to get some stamping done and some laundry done. Today it's more laundry and stamping but I also hope to get some of Nick's quilt top done. I am making good progress but just need to keep going. Tomorrow night it will be all about packing as Becky and I leave Friday morning!!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Retro Sketches. I thought it was something a little different and held so many possibilities! No surprise that I pulled out the Googly Ghouls! Don't worry. I didn't use him for the next two days - lol!! I cut squares from Rich Razzleberry, Lucky Limeade and Pumpkin Pie and used the 3/4" circle punch to round the corners (one corner on each). The I adhered the top two to a piece of Basic Black. The bottom one got stamped with the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in black StazOn. I also added a little piercing. This is popped up onto the panel. Then I stamped the bat in black StazOn onto a piece of Whisper White and cut him out. He, too, is popped up. Then I popped up this panel onto a card base of Basic Black and added two googlies. Simple!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Celebrating FMS 25

Good morning, Friends! Wow! Another week is upon us! And we are on the downhill side of September! I have noticed that the days are getting a lot shorter, too. Today I have to take my car in to get it serviced. It's under warranty and we want to make sure it is all in good working order for all the trips we will be making in the next few weeks for sports. But I didn't want to sit at the dealership while it was being worked on so Becky is going to come and get me and take me back to her place so we can work on some of our stitching projects while it is being worked on. Now that sounds like fun!! 

Today's card was inspired by a sketch at Freshly Made. They are celebrating their one year anniversary and have asked those that play along to pick a past sketch to use. Well that is very hard because they are all so wonderful!! In fact, yesterday's post was one of their past sketches. I just couldn't choose one! This is the card I did with my shoebox club last week. A super simple layout and it uses my favorite Halloween stamp set, Googly Ghouls! I adhered a piece of Basic Black to a card base of Lucky Limeade. Then I took a piece of Pumpkin Pie and pierced several circles on one side and tied a piece of Basic Black taffeta ribbon around the other. This is popped up onto the card. I stamped the mummy in black StazOn onto a piece of Whisper White and cut him out and popped him up on the card. Then I stamped the 'boooo' onto a piece of Whisper White in black StazOn and punched it out with the oval punch. This is adhered to the Pumpkin Pie panel. Good morning, Friends! I hope you are all having a super weekend! It looks to be another fine day around here! I love football Sundays! There is always something to watch! Nick's soccer game didn't go the way we would have liked. But the boys played very well! And Nick played great, too! Couldn't tell he was on crutches just a few days ago - lol! They are always so much fun to watch!

Today's card is for the challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. They are celebrating their one year anniversary and so the challenge is to pick a past sketch and use it for your creation. Well, that was really hard for me as they have SO many wonderful sketches to choose from!! I picked FMS 13. I also decided NOT to use my Googly Ghouls set - lol! Although you will be seeing a few more cards done with that set. So I picked another favorite set, Perfectly Preserved! This set is perfect for fall and the colors in the Orchard Harvest designer paper is perfect for fall, too! This is a very simple card. I punched two strips of Early Espresso card stock with the dotted ribbon scallop punch and adhered them to the back of a piece of Orchard Harvest designer paper. This is adhered to a card base of Cajun Craze. Then I stamped the ears of corn from Perfectly Preserved onto Very Vanilla using Lucky Limeade, Cajun Craze and More Mustard markers. Then I cut them out using the Cannery framelits dies. The two outer ears are adhered to the card and the middle one is popped up. Then I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Early Espresso onto Very Vanilla and punched it out with the Word Window punch and popped it up onto a piece of Very Vanilla that was punched with the Modern Label punch. This is adhered to the card. I added two rhinestones to finish it off! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! I hope you are ready for a great weekend!! Looks like it will be a nice one around here! In a little while I will be heading out to an open house of a new little wool store in town! Our wool teacher has decided to open her own studio and sell her own designs (along with others) and she will be selling other items that one needs when stitching! I am so excited!! Then after I do a little shopping, Nick has a soccer game! We weren't going to let him play because of his foot but he has made a remarkable recovery so we decided that he has to talk to his coach and together they can decide. He says he feels perfectly fine. Now I just tease him because he had to put us through all that drama for just a 24 hour injury. Geesh!!

Today's card was inspired by the Nacho Average Challenge. It's a great sketch this week and I knew it was perfect for my Googly Ghouls! So I took a piece of the Pumpkin Pie designer paper from the Polka Dot Parade pack and flagged one end. To the back I added two strips of Lucky Limeade that had gone through the Big Shot with the Tasteful Trim die. This panel is adhered to a Basic Black card base. Then I stamped the mummy in black StazOn onto Whisper White and cut him out. He is popped up onto a tag from the Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kit and that is popped up onto the card. Then I stamped the 'boooo' in black StazOn onto a strip of Pumpkin Pie and flagged both ends. I also popped this up onto the card. Finally, I added my gogglies! Good morning everyone! Well, it is day three of the swollen ankle (on my son) and it seems that he is doing extremely well!! Yea!! I really think that the splint along with icing it did it wonders. While it is still really bruised, he can walk on it and is pain free! I am so relieved and so is he! I still am not sure about him playing in the soccer game this weekend but I will let that be between him and his coach. 

Today is Friday!! Yea!!!! And Sketch Frenzy Friday has another wonderful sketch for you!! This week's fabulous sketch was created by Jennifer! Take a look!

And my card:

So I took a brief (and I mean brief) break from my Googly Ghouls to play a little with the Perfectly Preserved set. I absolutely love this set, too! The coordinating framelits and designer paper make a great card every time! I adhered a piece of the Orchard Harvest designer paper to a piece of Raspberry Ripple card stock and then to a card base of Crumb Cake. On top of this I adhered a piece of Early Espresso card stock and on top of that I popped up a piece of Crumb Cake that I sponged with Crumb Cake ink. On Very Vanilla card stock I stamped the jar in Early Espresso, the lid in Island Indigo, the apple in Raspberry Ripple and the stem in Lucky Limeade. I used the Cannery framelits to cut them all out. The jar is popped up and the lid has Early Espresso baker's twine wrapped around it several times. I also tied and Early Espresso button on. The apple is popped up on the jar as well. Pretty simple!!

Good morning everyone! I hope your week is going great! If you keep up with my posts you will have read about my son and his little accident. I did take him to the doctor and there was nothing broken nor did they find a fracture. So that is good news. However, the doctor did put a splint on and has him walking on crutches for a little while. If it doesn't heal then we go back next week to see what else can be done. So rest and ice is the order for him! We will see how well he rests - lol!! By the way, thank you all for your nice comments about his recovery! I do appreciate them all!!

And I seem to have Halloween on the brain. Especially with the cutest Halloween set ever! Here is what I came up with!

I used the sketch at Retro Sketches and the Googly Ghouls stamp set to help me create this card. I adhered a piece of Summer Smooches designer paper to a card base of Tangerine Tango. Then I adhered I piece of Whisper White to a longer piece of Lucky Limeade and then to a piece of Rich Razzleberry. I wrapped a piece of Rich Razzleberry stitched grosgrain ribbon around this and then popped up this panel onto the card. I stamped 'Frankie' in black StazOn onto a piece of Whisper White and cut him out. Then I colored him with a Lucky Limeade marker and popped him up onto the white panel. CASology: Week #10

Good morning, Friends!! It is SO nice to wake up to the sound of rain! Love the clouds and the rain!! especially when we haven't seen hardly any of it this summer! And the temperatures are cooler and you can feel fall in the air! I love fall! And I love that I got to sleep in a little. Nick fell at school yesterday afternoon and hurt his ankle really bad. Really bad! We decided to let him sleep in a little this morning and then I will look at it and make a decision as to if I take him back to school or to the doctor. I am praying nothing is broken or fractured or too serious! He can't seem to put any pressure on it and I even had to wheel him out of the school in a wheelchair! It was really swollen so I hope that it went down. I also hope that it doesn't hurt so bad today. I'll wake him up in a few hours and see. This is his real first injury!

Today's card is for a new challenge that I am excited to participate in. It is called CASology. They are looking for clean and simple cards. And you all know how I love the clean and simple! Their cue word this week is 'sky'. Well, I have been making quite a few cards with this super cute Googly Ghouls set and went with it again as you do see bats in the sky!! I also tried hard to stick with a one layer card as that is the challenge for the LNS group. I stamped the 'boooo' onto a Whisper White card base in black StazOn and then I stamped two bats onto the card as well. I stamped a third bat onto a scrap of Whisper White and cut him out. I used my Basic Black marker and a ruler and drew a sort of frame around the inside of my card. Then I popped up the third bat and added gogglies! I like simple but these one layer cards are a little more difficult for me! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is off to a great start! We are just settling into our weekly routine around here! I got four loads of laundry done yesterday and need to get two more done today. No problem - right? Lol!! Rain is forecasted for today and tomorrow and I really hope it does! We need it SO badly!! And rain would be a nice diversion from the hot and dry that it has been ALL summer long! The colors are turning up in the mountains. My friend Becky went up there last week and took some awesome pictures! Down in the valley, I noticed a few trees were starting to turn color as well. Fall is definitely coming!! Yea!!!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at iSpy. This is not my usual style and it seems kind of busy to me. But I love these papers from the Orchard Harvest designer paper pack. The colors and patterns remind me of fall! So I followed the sketch to be able to use these papers. I layered squares of the Orchard Harvest designer papers onto a piece of Crumb Cake and then popped up this panel onto a card base of Crumb Cake. Then I stamped the apple from Perfectly Preserved in Raspberry Ripple and the stem in Lucky Limeade onto Very Vanilla. These were cut out using the Cannery framelits. I popped this up onto a 1 1/4" circle of Crumb Cake that was adhered to a 1 3/8" circle of Raspberry Ripple and then adhered to a scallop circle of Early Espresso. This was then popped up onto the card. Then I stamped the sentiment in Raspberry Ripple onto a scrap of Crumb Cake and punched it with the small oval punch and adhered a strip of Early Espresso. I popped this up onto the card. Then I strung some linen thread through an Early Espresso button and tied a bow before adhering it to the card. Finally I added a rhinestone to the apple. Good Sunday morning, Friends! I hope you all have had a wonderful weekend! The boys tied their soccer game yesterday. That team was a tough one and one that we had lost to late last spring in a tournament. So we were happy with a tie. I am happy to report that we have played three games and haven't lost any - lol! Tied two and won one! Nick played great! He was goalie and made some amazing saves. He got new goalie gloves and they helped him do his job! Today I get to go to the quilt shop and spend the afternoon stitching and then the Broncos play this afternoon! I am anxious to see how our new quarterback - Peyton Manning - will do!

Today's card is for two challenges! Yep! I got really inspired this time - lol! I used the sketch from Freshly Made and the colors from Pals Paper Arts. I thought the colors would be great for Halloween and the sketch is a fun on to use the Googly Ghouls with. The colors are Lucky Limeade, Elegant Eggplant and Pumpkin Pie. So I used the scallop edge border punch to punch the length of a piece of Elegant Eggplant card stock and adhered a piece of Lucky Limeade dsp to that. Then this panel is adhered to the card base of Lucky Limeade. Then I stamped frankie in black StazOn onto a piece of Whisper White and colored him with a Lucky Limeade marker. I cut him out and popped him up onto a panel of Whisper White which is then popped up onto the card. Then I stamped the 'boooo' in black StazOn onto a strip of Pumpkin Pie and flagged one end. I tucked this behind frankie and added my gogglies! Cute!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! Are you all ready for a great weekend? We have a soccer game later this morning and then the rest of the day is free!!! Whatever will we do? Well, there is a lot that needs to get done around here - lol! So it will be nice to be at home. I hope to get some more sewing done. But no special plans for us today. Here's hoping that the boys win their soccer game today!! Woohoo!!

Today's card was inspired by the color challenge at Nacho Average Challenge. The colors are Wild Wasabi, Early Espresso and Raspberry Ripple. I used Crumb Cake for my neutral and I have to say that I do love the way this one turned out! This stamp set, Evergreen, is one I had to have right away but hadn't gotten it out yet, so I decided to ink it up using these colors. This might be a contender for my Christmas cards this year! I stamped the solid part of the tree in Wild Wasabi - I stamped off lightly before stamping it onto the Crumb Cake panel. Then I stamped the words in Early Espresso. You may not be able to read the words but they are the words from Silent Night. Then I stamped the detail part of the tree in Wild Wasabi without stamping off. I did use my stamp-a-ma-jig to get everything straight. Then I sponged around the edges in Crumb Cake. This panel is adhered to a piece of Early Espresso and I added two strips of Wild Wasabi that had the ends flagged. I popped this up onto a piece of Raspberry Ripple that had gone through the Big Shot with the Fancy Fan embossing folder. And all of this is adhered to a card base of Crumb Cake. Finally I added a rhinestone to the top of the tree. Great colors together!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning everyone!! It's time for another challenge from the team at Sketch Frenzy Friday! This week's sketch was created by ME!! It's a simple one! Take a look!

And my card!

Yep!! Another Halloween card with the Googly Ghouls set! This is such a cute set!! And I love the googlies that go with it! So for my easy card I ran a strip of Basic Black card stock through the Big Shot with the Tasteful Trim die. This is adhered to a piece of Whisper White panel. Then I stamped the 'boooo' stamp in black stazOn. I adhered this to a piece of Basic Black and then popped this up onto a card base of Lucky Limeade. Then I stamped little frankie in black StazOn onto Whisper White and then colored him with a Lucky Limeade marker. I cut him out and popped him up onto the card. And we can't forget those googlie eyes!! Love those!!

Good morning, Friends! It's Thursday and time for another challenge from the ladies at Create with Connie and Mary! This week we are being challenged with a sketch. Take a look!

And my card...

I had to laugh when I uploaded my card to the challenge folder. I was one of the last to upload and when I saw all the other designer's cards, there were a few of us that had the same idea! I adhered a piece of Pumpkin Pie designer paper from the Polka Dot Parade pack to a card base of Lucky Limeade. Above that I stamped the 'boooo' image from Googly Ghouls in black StazOn. Then I took a piece of Basic Black card stock and ran it through the Big Shot with the Web embossing folder and then ran my white StazOn pad over the embossed to highlight the web. This is popped up on the card. I stamped the mummy image in black StazOn onto a piece of white card stock and cut him out. He is popped up onto the card. I added a Lucky Limeade strip. My final addition was to add the googlies to the card. I did leave off the ribbon as I just couldn't make it work for me.

A Single Flower

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is going super! I know that it is going by quickly! It helped having Monday off but I feel like my whole schedule is off, too! Yesterday I had a couple of appointments so I didn't get anything done. Well, I did get two cards stamped and that was a miracle as I really had to squeeze that in! And that is why I haven't posted the last two days. I just was out of sorts - if you know what I mean. But today I feel confident that I will be back on track! I have laundry to do, too (joy).

Today's card was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest. The layout is exactly the same with pretty much the same colors. I stamped the stem from Summer Silhouettes in Old Olive and the blossoms in Raspberry Ripple onto a panel of Whisper White. I rounded opposite corners on this panel and popped it up onto another panel of Whisper White that also has the same corners rounded. This is then popped up onto a card base of Whisper White. I stamped the greeting from Sweet Essentials in Raspberry Ripple and adhered it to the top panel. Finally, I added three rhinestones to the flower blossoms. Pretty simple!! Canned Apple

Good morning everyone! Wow! It was so nice to sleep in a little this morning! I slept so soundly last night! Ahhh!!! That hasn't happened for quite some time. Not too much going on today and that sounds great to me!! Just a lot of relaxing. Watching some sports on the t.v. and maybe a little crafting in between! I hope that you all are enjoying your weekend, too!

Today's card is one that I created for a recent swap that I participated in. I just love the way this one turned out! And you all know how I feel about the Perfectly Preserved set - lol! I also just love these colors together!! So the for the base part of my card I adhered a strip of the Orchard Harvest designer paper (flagging the bottom) to a piece of Crumb Cake to a piece of Island Indigo and then popping the panel up onto a card base of Crumb Cake. This I adhered a strip of Raspberry Ripple on top of this. I stamped the images from Perfectly Preserved in Early Espresso, Island Indigo, Raspberry Ripple, and Lucky Limeade onto Very Vanilla and cut them out using the Cannery framelits dies. I adhered them together and then popped up the jar onto the card. I punched a flower from More Mustard using the Boho Blossoms punch and a circle from Early Espresso using the itty bitty shapes punch pack. This is adhered to the jar with a bitty button and some Early Espresso baker's twine. Finally, I added the greeting that was stamped in Island Indigo onto Crumb Cake and then punched with the small oval punch. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!!

Winter Ice Skates

Good morning everyone! I hope that your weekend is off to a great start and that you get to do something fun! Nick got to spend the night at a friend's house last night; one of Pat's friend's came into town last night and they are hanging out today; I think that tonight we are all going to a baseball game; I think I get the house to myself most of today so I plan to finish up some projects... Sounds like it will be a full but fun day!! Speaking of getting projects finished up... I have a new blog called My Sewing Notions. Not many projects posted yet but as I finish them I will be posting them. It is not stamping related at all but for those of you who like to sew or quilt, it might be something to check out. I just finished my first quilt! I am so excited about that! And I love how it turned out! Anyway, I just thought I would share. :)

Today's card is one that I did for a recent swap that I participated in. I love this image from the Winter Memories stamp set. I layered a piece of Crumb Cake card stock to a piece of Cherry Cobbler to a card base of Gumball Green. Then I added three strips of Cherry Cobbler that had the ends flagged. I stamped the image from Winter Memories in black StazOn onto watercolor paper that was die cut with the 3" circle die. I used various inks to watercolor the image with an aqua painter. I sponged the edges with Crumb Cake and popped it up onto the card. Then I stamped the greeting in black StazOn onto a strip of Very Vanilla and used the Word Window punch to round each end of the strip. This is adhered to the circle. Then I took silver glimmer paper and ran it through the Big Shot with the Snow Flurry die. I used the two smaller snowflakes and layered them with a silver brad before popping them up onto the card.
