Winter Ice Skates

Good morning everyone! I hope that your weekend is off to a great start and that you get to do something fun! Nick got to spend the night at a friend's house last night; one of Pat's friend's came into town last night and they are hanging out today; I think that tonight we are all going to a baseball game; I think I get the house to myself most of today so I plan to finish up some projects... Sounds like it will be a full but fun day!! Speaking of getting projects finished up... I have a new blog called My Sewing Notions. Not many projects posted yet but as I finish them I will be posting them. It is not stamping related at all but for those of you who like to sew or quilt, it might be something to check out. I just finished my first quilt! I am so excited about that! And I love how it turned out! Anyway, I just thought I would share. :)

Today's card is one that I did for a recent swap that I participated in. I love this image from the Winter Memories stamp set. I layered a piece of Crumb Cake card stock to a piece of Cherry Cobbler to a card base of Gumball Green. Then I added three strips of Cherry Cobbler that had the ends flagged. I stamped the image from Winter Memories in black StazOn onto watercolor paper that was die cut with the 3" circle die. I used various inks to watercolor the image with an aqua painter. I sponged the edges with Crumb Cake and popped it up onto the card. Then I stamped the greeting in black StazOn onto a strip of Very Vanilla and used the Word Window punch to round each end of the strip. This is adhered to the circle. Then I took silver glimmer paper and ran it through the Big Shot with the Snow Flurry die. I used the two smaller snowflakes and layered them with a silver brad before popping them up onto the card. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!!
