Good Friday morning! I get to sleep in this morning as yesterday was the last day of the first quarter of school. And today means that the teacher is getting all the grades together. Oh joy! Next week will be parent/teacher conferences. But I don't want to think about school. I want to show you the newest sketch from the Sketch Frenzy Friday team! This week's sketch was created by Sharon Wheet. Take a look!
What a beautiful clean and simple sketch! I needed that! Here's what I came up with!
I just got the set Greetings of the Season. Such a nice selection of greetings and I thought this sketch would be perfect for one of them. Since I wanted to use snowflakes, I picked the word stamp "Peace on Earth". I took a piece of Whisper White to the Big Shot and used the Northern Flurry embossing folder to emboss it. This is popped up onto a card base of Whisper White. Then I took another piece of Whisper White and used the Labels framelits dies to cut the label shape. I stamped the greeting in Elegant Eggplant and popped this up onto the card. Finally I added two snowflakes that were cut from silver glimmer paper using the Snow Flurry die. A super simple but elegant card.

ReplyDeleteDeb, I just loved how you popped the main panel off the card. That is just so clever and creative! Bravo! I really do love the snowflakes SU! has, and using the silver glimmer paper was the perfect touch. I think that using elegant eggplant to stamp your sentiment also gives the card a bit of elegance. Love the idea! Great card! and I'm sure you have inspired folks to play along with us!
