CCMC Spring Collection Blog Hop: Week 1

Hello everyone! The Create with Connie and Mary Spring Collection week 1 has just come to an end. The designers showcased products from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. Did you get to see them? This past week I used the Sale-A-Bration set A Happy Thing! I love the line drawing of this set! It is really fun to color with our blendabilities! Here is my card for this week's blog hop!

I used the sketch from Karen Giron at The Sweetest Thing to help me put this together.

• Card base is Soft Sky cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" then folded in half
• Cut a piece of Wild Wasabi at 3 3/8" x 3 3/4" and use the fringe scissors to fringe the end 
• Cut a piece of Whisper White at 3 1/4" x 3 1/4"
• Stamp the lemon image onto the Whisper White panel using Tuxedo black Momento ink and use the bottom leaf to stamp two more times onto the panel
• Color image in with blendabilities: Daffodil Delight and Wild Wasabi
• Outline the image with the light Soft Sky blendabilities
• Stamp the speckles image from Gorgeous Grunge onto the panel then stamp the sentiment using Tuxedo black Momento ink
• Adhere the panel to the Wild Wasabi panel and then adhere to the card using dimensionals
• Flag a piece of Best Year Ever designer paper that is cut at 2" x 1 1/4" and adhere to card
• Thread a piece of Soft Sky Painted Blooms cotton twine through a basic metal button and tie a bow then adhere to card

Good morning, Friends! It's time for another challenge from the Create with Connie and Mary team! This week we have a sketch challenge! Take a look!

And my card...

• Card base is Whisper White
• Run a piece of Whisper White through the Big Shot with the Large Polka Dot embossing folder and adhere to the card base
• Stamp the lemon image from A Happy Thing onto a piece of Whisper White using Tuxedo black Momento ink and color in with Blendabilities: Daffodil Delight and Wild Wasabi and outline using Soft Sky
• Stamp the image again onto another piece of Whisper White card stock and color the lemon using the Daffodil Delight blendabilities
• Cut the lemon out and adhere to panel using dimensionals
• Stamp the sentiment onto the panel
• Stamp the speckles from Gorgeous Grunge onto the panel using Soft Sky ink
• Cut two banners from Best Year Ever designer paper and adhere to the panel
• Cut another banner from Wild Wasabi card stock and fringe it with the fringe scissors then adhere to panel
• Tie a piece of Basic Black 1/8" taffeta ribbon around the panel and adhere to a piece of Basic Black card stock
• Adhere panel to card with dimensionals

Coastal Bird

Good morning everyone! I hope your week is off to a great start! We are starting back to school today after a nice holiday break! Not so sure we are all that excited but back to school we go! At least it will be short week and the weather looks to warm up a bit. I was able to get the laundry done and I even did some stamping! Now I need to work on finishing some Christmas gifts as my friend Sherry comes this weekend! Yeah!!!

Today's card is a quick simple card! It was kind of an experiment for me. I haven't used the blendabilities in a while and this set is perfect for them!

• Card base is Coastal Cabana
• On a piece of Whisper White, stamp the bird image from A Happy Thing using Tuxedo black Momento ink and color using Blendabilities: Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake and Wild Wasabi and outline using Soft Sky
• Stamp the sentiment on the Whisper White panel using Tuxedo black Momento ink
• Round the bottom corners using the Project Life corner rounder
• Use the dotted ribbon scallop punch to punch a strip of Calypso Coral and adhere to back of panel
• Tie a piece of Crisp Cantaloupe thick baker's twine around panel and adhere to card with dimensionals

Lemon Love

Hello everyone! I hope your holidays were very special! We had a most wonderful day! All my family has been here and I am looking forward to a nice weekend! 

I have decided to move on from Christmas to the new products in the upcoming Occasions and SAB mini catalogs! I was so excited to use them and I am excited to show you! This card actually started as one thing but I didn't like it so I took some things off and started over and this is the result.

• Card base is Whisper White
• Stamp the lemon image from A Happy Thing onto a piece of designer paper from Best Year Ever pack using Tuxedo black Momento ink and color with the Blendabilities: Daffodil Delight and Wild Wasabi
• Adhere the piece to the card base
• Use the fringe scissors to cut into a piece of Wild Wasabi card stock and tie a piece of Whisper White cotton ribbon around the panel then adhere to card
• Stamp the sentiment with Tuxedo black Momento ink and add a rhinestone
