FTL 302

Good morning, Friends! Well this week was quite an adjustment for me! I am still trying to figure out when I will have the energy and time to stamp a few cards. I ended up only doing one card between Wednesday and today. I have just been too tired by the time I get home and have to make dinner. So I am looking at the weekend as a possible answer. I got some new goodies and am looking forward to playing with them!! Nick's Back-to-School night was last night and it was great to meet all his teachers! I really like them and think that if Nick will put out his best effort, he will do very well!! So excited about that! I get to meet with some first grade teachers about getting started with some kiddos! I'm excited to get started!!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Clean&Simple. I really needed a simple card and this works!!

  • Card base is Pistachio Pudding
  • Use the scallop edge border punch to punch the side of a piece of All Abloom designer paper then adhere to a piece of Pistachio Pudding
  • Tie a piece of Island Indigo 1/4" cotton ribbon around panel and adhere to card base with dimensionals
  • Stamp the greeting from He There onto a piece of Whisper White using Island Indigo ink
  • Use the Apothecary Accents framelits to cut out the greeting and adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Punch a flower from Strawberry Slush using the itty bitty accents punch pack and adhere to card
  • Adhere a rhinestone to flower center
Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

FTL 226

Good Sunday morning, Friends! I hope you are all having a super weekend! We had a beautiful day around here yesterday. This morning it is looking a little cloudy so we will see what the weather does. But Nick is excited as he has two basketball games today! And that should be really fun! Then he really does have some serious homework to finish before tomorrow when we start the week all over again!

Today's card was the final one we did at our stamp club this month. I used the Fall-To-Layout at Clean&Simple. A very simple card! I adhered a piece of So Saffron to a card base of Perfect Plum. Then I stamped the stem of the Boutique Blossom in Wild Wasabi onto a piece of Whisper White. Then on a scrap of Whisper White I stamped the flower in Perfect Plum and again in So Saffron. I cut the middle part of the flower out from the So Saffron and adhered it to the cut out flower of the Perfect Plum. Then the flower is popped up onto the panel. I stamped the greeting from Friendly Phrases in Perfect Plum. Then I used the Essentials Paper Piercing pack to added some details to the corners of the panel. This is then popped up onto the card and a rhinestone was added as well. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Boutique Blossom, Friendly Phrases; Paper- Perfect Plum, So Saffron, Whisper White; Ink- Perfect Plum, So Saffron; Accessories- Essentials Paper Piercing pack, rhinestone, dimensionals

FTL 225

Good morning everyone! I hope your week is off to a great start! It's a busy one for us around here so it is sure to go by quickly! I think I am ready for the weekend already - lol! But there is still lots to do before then so I guess I better enjoy each day as it comes! I think we have a quiet night tonight so that will be nice.

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Clean&Simple. I thought this sketch was a perfect one to use the banners in the Hearts a Flutter set. I started by adhering a strip of designer paper from the More Amore designer paper pack to a piece of Naturals Ivory. Then I stamped the three banners from Hearts a Flutter set onto Naturals Ivory in Primrose Petals, Pool Party, and Real Red and cut them out using the Hearts a Flutter framelits dies. These are then adhered to the panel and a piece of Basic Grey stitched grosgrain ribbon is tied around it. Then I stamped the outline heart image in Primrose Petals (stamping off once) and the greeting from Sweet Essentials in Basic Grey. I popped this panel up onto the card and added a heart that was cut from Pool Party using the Fashionable Hearts embosslit and a pearl. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Hearts a Flutter, Sweet Essentials; Paper- Naturals Ivory, More Amore designer paper; Ink- Primrose Petals, Pool Party, Real Red, Basic Grey; Accessories- Basic Grey stitched grosgrain ribbon, Hearts a Flutter framelits dies, Fashionable Hearts embosslit, pearl, dimensionals

FTL 224

Good morning, Friends! UGH!! It is getting harder to wake up! We all really need the weekend to get here so we can sleep in! I know that Nick will sleep till noon or later this weekend! That drive back from Vegas did us in! I need to get myself awake and alert as I am doing a hand piecing class tonight! I am really excited about that! And this afternoon I must go into town and make my final decision about what fabric I am going to use. I can't believe I have waited this long to decide. So much beautiful fabric to choose from! At least I have it narrowed down between two different ones.

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Clean&Simple. I think I have made more Valentine cards than ever this year! I am having so much fun with the Hearts a Flutter stamps and framelits dies! And the More Amore designer paper is SO beautiful and fun to work with! For this card I took a piece of More Amore designer paper and adhered it to a card base of Pool Party. Then I carefully cut apart a heart from the same paper collection. Behind the heart is a banner from the Hearts a Flutter stamp set that was stamped in Real Red onto Very Vanilla and cut out with the Hearts a Flutter framelits dies. I popped this up onto the card. Then a heart was cut from Real Red using the same framelits dies. Behind this heart is a strip of Very Vanilla with the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamped in Basic Grey. I popped this up onto the bigger heart and added a rhinestone. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Clean&Simple 223

Good morning from Las Vegas! We got here pretty early yesterday and checked in and rested a while before seeing the rest of the team. Then we drove down to the strip and the guys rode the roller coaster at New York New York. We walked around a little and then had pizza and headed back to the hotel. Nick and my husband tried to see a movie but ended up back at the hotel and the kids just played arcade games. So much activity around here! And lots of different events going on this weekend! It's crazy! But we are having fun and we only need jackets!! We figured it was almost 40 degrees warmer here! SO nice!!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Clean&Simple. Not a lot of stamping on this one and that makes it really simple!! I adhered a piece of Sycamore Street designer paper to a card base of Island Indigo. Then I stamped the sentiment from Made for You in Island Indigo onto a panel of Whisper White and adhered two strips of Tangerine Tango that were punched with the dotted ribbon scallop punch. This is adhered to the card. I punched a scallop circle from Island Indigo and a Whisper White circle. These are adhered together and popped up onto the card. I used the Elegant Butterfly punch to punch one from Pool Party and the Bitty Butterfly punch to punch one from Summer Starfruit. These are adhered together with a brad in the middle and then popped up onto the card. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Made for You; Paper- Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White, Summer Starfruit, Pool Party, Sycamore Street designer paper; Ink- Island Indigo; Accessories- dotted ribbon scallop punch, Elegant Butterfly punch, Bitty Butterfly punch, silver brad, scallop circle punch, 1 3/4" circle punch, dimensionals

FTL 219

Good morning, everyone! Oh it felt SO good to sleep in this morning! I know I am getting a much later start than usual but I so needed the sleep! I feel so rested and ready to start my day! And I do have a lot that I would like to do today!! I still need to get some more stamping done. So that is what I will probably focus on. Later this evening, Nick will have his first indoor soccer game. It's not really games that they do but rather just a chance to get out there and play. We will be going to Las Vegas in January for a tournament so that is something to look forward to!!

Today's card was inspired by last week's sketch from the Clean and Simple blog. I also tried to use some colors that I hadn't touched in quite a while. I took a piece of Whisper White and ran it through the Big Shot with the Northern Flurry embossing folder. Then I adhered it to a strip of Chocolate Chip then to a piece of Pool Party that was punched with the scallop trim punch. Then I popped up the entire panel onto a card base of Chocolate Chip. I stamped the image from Snow Much Fun in black StazOn onto a piece of Whisper White and colored him in with Chocolate Chip, Wild Wasabi, Pool Party and Pumpkin Pie markers. I carefully cut him out and popped up onto the card. Then I stamped the sentiment in black StazOn onto a strip of Whisper White and flagged the end. This is tucked behind the image. The last thing I did was to add a few rhinestones to the snowflakes. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Snow Much Fun; Paper- Chocolate Chip, Pool Party, Whisper White; Ink- black StazOn, Wild Wasabi, Pool Party, Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip; Accessories- Northern Flurry embossing folder, scallop trim punch, rhinestones, dimensionals

FTL 210

Good morning, Friends! A quick post today. We need to eat a little breakfast and then pack the car and head to the soccer field. An early game and then a long drive back home. The boys played outstanding yesterday! They beat the #2 team 3-2!!! Here's hoping they play that great today!!

Today's card is one that I made a few weeks ago using the sketch from the Clean&Simple blog. A super quick layout and so versatile! I took a piece of Cherry Cobbler and adhered a piece of Gumball Green, Crumb Cake designer paper and a strip of champagne glimmer paper to it. This is then adhered to a card base of Crumb Cake. I stamped my greeting from Sweet Essentials onto a strip of Very Vanilla and flagged one end. This is adhered to the card. Finally, I added some champagne glimmer snowflakes that were cut with the Snow Flurry die. I popped these up onto the card and put a neutral brad in the center but I wished I had put a pearl. I like the look of the pearls better. Oh well. Now you know!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Sweet Essentials; Paper- Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, Neutrals designer paper, champagne glimmer paper; Ink- Cherry Cobbler; Accessories- Snow Flurry die, neutrals brads, dimensionals

FTL 203

Good morning, Friends! Another week seems to be flying by! Here we are halfway through the last week of our summer! I know I keep repeating that but it's mainly because I need to remember that I will need to start getting the boy up and getting him ready for school! While it's been nice just being lazy and leisure, it will be nice to have a regular routine once again.

Today's card is #2 that my stamp club did on Monday night. This card was inspired by my friend Mary Brown. She used these same colors, stamp set and technique last week on a card she did. I used the sketch at Clean&Simple to help me put this card together. And I quite like how it all turned out! I think the ladies did, too! And the best part is, it is really simple!! I took a piece of Daffodil Delight to the Big Shot and ran it through with the Fancy Fan embossing folder. This is adhered to a piece of Basic Grey and then adhered to the card base of Whisper White. Then I took a piece of Whisper White and a piece of Basic Grey card stock to the Big Shot and ran them through with the Apothecary Accents framelit dies. I stamped the image from Serene Silhouettes in Basic Grey and sponged Daffodil ink just on top of the flowers. I cut the Basic Grey piece because I wanted just the bottom portion. This is adhered to the Whisper White piece. I tied a piece of ribbon around this and then popped it up onto the card. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!!

FTL 199 - Happy Birthday, Sherry!!

Good morning, Friends! Home again, home again! Now to get some laundry done, grocery shopping, stamping, sewing... Oh and Nick spent the night at a friend's house and I will need to run them to the rec center in a little while... Then he has soccer camp later tonight... I hope I get a lot done - lol!! We had a great weekend, though! We will be on the road again this weekend. I'm so thankful that we get to to this! It can get tiring but it is so much fun and a great way to spend time together as a family!!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch from Clean&Simple. It was their sketch from last week. Last Wednesday we celebrated our friend's birthday, which is actually today - Happy Birthday, Sherry!!! This is the card that I gave her. I started with a strip of Whisper White that was flagged at the bottom. Then I punched two strips of Midnight Muse with the dotted ribbon scallop punch and adhered them behind the strip. This panel is popped up onto a card base of Whisper White. On scraps of Whisper White I stamped the cupcake bottoms from Create a Cupcake in Midnight Muse and the tops in Summer Starfruit, Primrose Petals, and Baja Breeze. These were all punched out with the cupcake builder punch. I popped these up onto the card. Then I punched flowers from Summer Starfruit, Primrose Petals, and Baja Breeze using the itty bitty shapes punch pack. I added a rhinestone to each flower center. I stamped the greeting on a strip of Whisper White in Midnight Muse and flagged both ends before adhering it to the bottom cupcake. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Create a Cupcake; Paper- Whisper White, Midnight Muse, Primrose Petals, Summer Starfruit, Baja Breeze; Ink- Midnight Muse, Primrose Petals, Summer Starfruit, Baja Breeze; Accessories- dotted ribbon scallop punch, cupcake builder punch, itty bitty shapes punch pack, rhinestones, dimensionals

FTL 190

Good morning everyone! I hope you're ready for a super weekend! We are having pinch ourselves because we actually have a totally FREE weekend! No sports (well, except maybe a practice on Sunday afternoon), and no where we have to be!!! I think we are going to spend a lot of time trying to get some things accomplished around the house! We even got to sleep in a little! That is why I am later in posting. That and I had to take the photos of the cards I made yesterday and edit them. The card I wanted to show today was not very photogenic. Ugh! So I am going to try again later and see if I can get a better picture of it.

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Clean&Simple. I just love the look of a good clean and simple card! And I have been using lots of white lately! In fact I need to order more - lol! Again, I thought I had better use up some of the paper that will be retiring at the end of this month. I pulled out the Flirtatious designer paper pack for this one. I took a strip of it and flagged one end. This is adhered to a piece of Whisper White card stock that was run through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder and then the panel is popped up onto a card base of Whisper White. Then I punched a 2 1/2" circle from Whisper White and stamped the image from Lean on Me in black StazOn. I carefully water colored her with Pretty in Pink, Daffodil Delight and Blush Blossom inks and a blender pen. This is adhered to a scallop circle that was cut from Pink Pirouette card stock using the Perfect Pennants die. I popped this up onto the card. Very simple! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Lean on Me; Paper- Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Flirtatious designer paper; Ink- black StazOn, Pretty in Pink, Daffodil Delight, Blush Blossom; Accessories- Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, Perfect Pennants die, 2 1/2" circle punch, blender pen, dimensionals

FTL 183

Good morning, Friends! I hope you are all having a fabulous weekend! I can't believe that we are at the end of March! Spring has definitely sprung and it almost feels like summer! Yikes! What will this summer feel like? I got my first sunburn of the season yesterday. Nick was supposed to have a soccer game but the other team didn't show up. Don't ask me how mad we all are about that (this was the second time they stood us up). So the coach took the opportunity to practice a little with the boys and the parents got to chat and bask in the sun! It was a gorgeous day!! Today will be much of the same and Nick has baseball practice. I had better put the sun block on today!

Today's card was inspired by the layout at clean&simple. I got to playing with the sketch and came up with the idea of making a sunflower! I am really into sunflowers (maybe because of where I am from - lol). I cut a scallop circle from Daffodil Delight with the scallop circles #2 die. The scallops by themselves were not much of a flower look for me so I cut into each scallop and that satisfied me! Then I punched a circle from Early Espresso card stock with the 2 1/2" circle punch and ran it through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. I adhered these together and glued the flower to the card base of Whisper White. Part of the flower hangs off the card and so I cut the remainder off. I free hand cut a stem from Lucky Limeade card stock and tucked it under the flower. I used the Blossom Builder punch to punch a leaf from Lucky Limeade and crinkled it a bit before adhering to the card. I stamped the greeting from Thank You Kindly in Early Espresso onto a strip of Whisper White. I flagged one end. This is popped up onto the card. Then I used a piece of Tangerine Tango to cut some butterflies with the Beautiful Wings embosslit. I picked one and added a mini brad and popped it up beside the sentiment. Something different but very fun! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Thank You Kindly; Paper- Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Lucky Limeade, Tangerine Tango; Ink- Early Espresso; Accessories- Beautiful Wings embosslit, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, Blossom Builder punch, Scallop Circles #2 die, 2 1/2" circle punch, mini brad, dimensionals

FTL 179

Good Sunday morning, Friends! I hope you are having a fabulous weekend! February is quickly coming to a close! Wow! Not much on our agenda today. I probably should do some grocery shopping but we will see. I know I do have to get some laundry done. And I want to start on another of my stitching projects. These new ones that I got go really fast! And they are really cute, too! Not that I am thinking of Christmas already, but they will make great gifts! Two of them I am doing are for Nick's teachers. Hope they like them!

Today's card was inspired by the Fall-To-Layout at Clean&Simple. I kept mine very clean and simple and used the colors from the Big Top Birthday designer paper pack. I really liked the bright colors and haven't used many of them, yet. But summer is coming! I also pulled out a set I haven't used in a while, Up, Up and Away. Anyway, I started with a piece of Whisper White card stock and stamped the greeting in Old Olive, the balloon basket and the clouds and birds in Tempting Turquoise. Then I stamped the clouds again on a scrap piece of Whisper White along with the balloon in Real Red and the tail in Daffodil Delight. I cut these out and adhered the biggest cloud to the front of the balloon and the tail to the back of the balloon and popped it up on the panel. Then I added two mini brads under the greeting and popped the whole panel up onto the card base of Whisper White. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

FTL 175

Good morning, Friends! I can't believe that we are at the last little bit of January! That just seemed to fly by! We had a quiet weekend around here. And it doesn't look like there is too much excitement for the week. That's o.k. with me! Just a nice routine!

Today's card was one that I did for the fall-to layout at Clean&Simple. I'm not sure that this is my favorite card but I like the three hearts and the button. Those little buttons are so stinkin' cute!! I started with a piece of Basic Grey and attached a piece of Twitterpated designer paper to it. Then I pierced holes in the Basic Grey all around the designer paper. This panel is popped up onto a card base of Whisper White. Then I punched three hearts from Blushing Bride using the Full Heart punch. The two outer ones are glued flat to the card. The middle one is glued to a Riding Hood Red heart that was cut from the Scallop Heart of Hearts sizzlet and then is popped up in the middle. I cut some hearts from Baja Breeze using the Fashionable Hearts sizzlet and used a glue dot to attach the smallest heart in the corner. Then I took the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes and stamped it on a strip of Whisper White in Basic Grey. I flagged one end and glued it flat. Then I added a Twitterpated designer button that has some white baker's twine tied to it. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Teeny Tiny Wishes; Paper- Whisper White, Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze, Basic Grey, Riding Hood Red; Ink- Basic Grey; Accessories- Full Heart punch, Scallop Heart of Hearts sizzlet, Fashionable Hearts sizzlet, Twitterpated designer buttons, white baker's twine, dimensionals

FTL 169

Good morning everyone! Here we are at another week. I just can't believe how fast it is all going! I know my son can't wait for Christmas break to get here, though. Everything just seems to go at record speed this time of year. We need to finish up the shopping and don't even talk to me about Christmas cards! Maybe I will get some sent out.

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Clean&Simple. When I first saw the sketch I didn't have any ideas. But after looking through a magazine, I saw ideas using two triangles for a Christmas tree. Well, I decided to give it a try and here is my result! I got my color cues from the Just Add Cake designer paper. And I think it turned out pretty cute! My card base is Poppy Parade and then I used the 3 1/2" circle die to die cut a circle from Blushing Bride card stock and that is glued to the card front. I stamped the words from Grateful for You in Early Espresso onto the circle. Then I cut the two smaller triangles from the Perfect Pennants die using designer paper from the Just Add Cake pack. I trimmed the ends of each triangle with the scallop edge border punch and curled them out a little. I cut a small piece of Early espresso for the trunk and a star using the stars die and So Saffron paper. The tree is popped up on the card and the final touch was some rhinestones. I hope you like it, too! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Grateful for You; Paper- Poppy Parade, Blushing Bride, Early Espresso, So Saffron, Just Add Cake designer paper; Ink- Early Espresso; Accessories- rhinestones, 3 1/2" circle die, stars die, Perfect Pennants die, scallop edge border punch, dimensionals

FTL 151

Good morning, Friends! Wow, halfway through another week! Nick commented on how fast the days seem to go. I hope he still feels the same way when I have to get him up in just a few minutes - lol! He is SO not a morning person. But this is good for him so that he can start preparing for school that starts in just a few short weeks! Need to get the last minute school shopping done...

Today's card comes from the sketch at Clean&Simple.  They made a square card but I stretched it out and made a regular sized card. I do like the way it turned out! I went to my Color Coach for these colors of Wild Wasabi, Chocolate Chip and So Saffron. Then added a tiny bit of Pool Party. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

FTL 146

Good morning, Friends! I am typing this from my hotel room. Soon we will be up and at 'em to drive another six hours to my parents house. Nothing exciting but Nick is excited to get there! It has been two years since we have been there for the Fourth of July. I was able to get a lot of stamping done before we left so I could post cards while I was gone. And I used a lot of new product! I did pack some stamping stuff to take to my parents, so we will see if I can create anything this week.

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Clean&Simple. This sketch is the current one. I do like the way it turned out but boy, was it time consuming! First I stamped the doilies and then colored them and then cut them out! I just love this new In Color, Wisteria Wonder! It is such a pretty purple!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Delicate Doilies, Happiest Birthday Wishes; Paper- Wisteria Wonder, Basic Black, Whisper White, Flirtatious designer paper; Ink- black StazOn, Wisteria Wonder; Accessories- silver brads, dimensionals

FTL 145

Good morning everyone! Here we are at the last week of June! I really hate to remind my son, but the summer is already 1/3 of the way over. I think he has been enjoying it, though! And a reminder to all of you that this is the last week (up through Thursday) that you can order off the retiring list! If there is something you want be sure to give me a shout! I am really studying the new catalog to figure out what I will be ordering first! Too many things I want!!

Anyway, here is a card that I made using the sketch from Clean&Simple. It is actually last week's sketch but I liked it and wanted to try it. I am not completely happy with how it turned out but it's o.k. I will have to try this sketch again and do it a little differently. The greeting is from a new hostess set. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Delicate Doilies, Happiest Birthday Wishes; Paper- Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo, Flirtatious designer paper; Ink- Melon Mambo; Accessories- basic pearls, Perfect Pennants die, 1 3/4" circle punch, dimensionals

FTL 144

Good morning, Friends! Wow! I can't believe that we are in the middles of June already! Where is all the time going? I have a lot that I really need to do today and then Nick and I leave tomorrow for Boulder for another soccer tournament. Crazy! So I do hope that I find time to stamp today so that I can post while I am gone.

Today's card is another one that I did with my stamp club this month. This card was a big hit! And it is so simple! I think the reason it is such a hit is because of the nice bright colors - Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry. I used the layout from Clean&Simple. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Fabulous Florets, A Word for You; Paper- Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White; Ink- Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive; Accessories- scallop edge border punch, scallop oval punch, large oval punch, dimensionals

Good morning everyone! I think this is my tenth time of trying to post this - UGH! I HATE that I had to update my Internet Explorer!! It has really screwed everything up and now nothing works like it did before and I am completely frustrated! First I had to figure out how to re-size my photos and now I can't seem to post the way that I have always done it - UGH!

O.k. I think I am better now? We will see. Anyway, my card was a quick one, inspired by the layout at Clean&Simple. And I used some of the new In Colors! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Fabulous Florets, Happy Greetings; Paper- Lucky Limeade, Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White; Ink- Lucky Limeade, Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant; Accessories- basic rhinestones, dotted scalloped ribbon border punch, dimensionals
