MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! I pray that each of you has a very special and blessed day today!
My card today was created especially for today to show the reason of the season. I adhered a strip of champagne glimmer paper to a card base of Early Espresso. Then I used the Labels framelits dies to cut two sizes of frames from Very Vanilla. On the larger one I used the Festive Paper Piercing pack to pierce around the inside of the label. This is popped up onto the card. On the smaller one I stamped the image from Come to Bethlehem in Early Espresso. I also stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso. Then I sponged the edges with Crumb Cake and popped it up onto the card. I added a pearl to the star and called it done! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!!

Good morning everyone! Sorry about being MIA these last few days. My computer had a little "fever" so I had to run it to a certified Apple Care dealer which happens to be about 90 miles east of where I live. Nice, huh? So I am doing all my computer work from my husband's computer and it sure feels ancient! Ugh! He needs a new computer SO bad!! But you didn't come to hear about my computer issues. No! You are here for the Create with Connie and Mary challenge - yea!!! This week we are being challenged with a sketch. Take a look!
Isn't this awesome!!! I love this sketch! SO many possibilities with this! It was really hard to decided what to do! So here is what I finally came up with!
A super simple Christmas card! One that I think could be easily mass produced and mailed without all the bulk. I pulled out my Come to Bethlehem set and stamped the image with black StazOn onto Very Vanilla, I layered this onto a piece of Basic Black and then added the banners of Basic Black, silver glimmer paper and Newsprint designer paper. Then this panel is popped up onto a card base of Very Vanilla. I stamped the words in black StazOn and added a rhinestone to the star.
Be sure to visit the Create with Connie and Mary website to see what the other designer's created using this sketch! I hope that you are inspired to play along this week. Upload your creation so that we can all take a look! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! It's Friday! And Christmas is only two days away! We are with my family right now and it is SO nice! Time to relax and enjoy each other's company! But I do want to remind you that there is a new sketch challenge at Sketch Frenzy Friday! This week's sketch was created by Robbie Rubala. Take a look!
Cute!! And different! I wasn't sure what I was going to do with that curvy area. But after going through my stamps I got an idea! Take a look!
Now, my curve goes the other direction than the sketch, but it is still the same idea. And I do love the way this turned out! My card base is textured Basic Grey. I stamped the image from Come to Bethlehem in black StazOn onto Basic Grey (being careful to not ink up the star part of the image) and cut the curved area by hand. I attached this to a piece of the beautiful silver glimmer paper. Then I cut a piece of Basic Black and attached a piece of the beautiful flocked paper from the Mocha Morning designer paper to the bottom and my stamped image is glued to the Basic Black piece. The Basic Black taffeta ribbon is tied around all this to hide the seam between the silver glimmer and the flocked papers. Then I popped this panel up onto my card base. The last thing I did was to stamp the star part of the image onto the back side of the silver glimmer paper and cut it out. I then popped this up on the card.
Please click 'here' to go and see what Jennifer has created using this sketch. Continue your way through the tour and get inspired. I know this will be a busy week for all but I hope that there might be some time for you to join us for this week's challenge. We always love to see what you come up with! Be sure to upload your creation to the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Bethlehem Button
Good morning everyone! I know that I am a little late in posting but it is our vacation time - lol! I am at my parents' house for the week. I had the honor of meeting my mom's Stampin' Up! demonstrator, Eva and her husband (also a stamper)! They came over last night to bring my mom's order. Eva had some samples to show and they were gorgeous! I am anxious to try out a new technique they told me about! It's always so much fun to meet other demonstrators! My brother is here now and my sister and her family will be coming tonight. I just love this time of year when the whole family can be together!
Today's card is one that I did a while ago. I was looking through an older magazine and found a card with a CAS design. So, I decided to copy it using Stampin' Up! supplies. I added a little more to it but I think it turned out all right. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!
Card Recipe: Stamps- Come to Bethlehem; Paper- Early Espresso, Very Vanilla; Ink- Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake; Accessories- linen thread, Early Espresso button, sponge

Mocha Morning Bethlehem
Good Sunday morning everyone! I hope you are having a super weekend! Yesterday's demonstrator meeting was awesome! I believe that everyone had a most wonderful time! We did some business discussions and then we had a cookie exchange with 6 x 6 recipe pages and then we played a little Stampin' Up! BINGO (thank you Sherry for your wonderful prizes) and then we had a gift exchange. This group of demonstrators can make THE best gifts!! I got a most beautiful Advent Calendar that was made by Heather Williams. The details on this are outstanding!! Thank you, Heather! So today is a day of relaxing and watching a little football - I love football Sundays! Plus, it is pretty yucky outside.
Today's card is one that I did in my workshop last week. I love this stamp set and it always makes very simple, yet elegant cards. I used some of the flocked Mocha Morning designer paper and the Tulip embossing folder. And then added a little ribbon and a rhinestone. Pretty simple! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! It's time for another great challenge from the Create with Connie and Mary team! This week we are being challenged with color. Take a look at these colors!
Our challenge colors are Cherry Cobbler, More Mustard, and Basic Black. I do like the swatches of color together. But what to do with them? Well, I have been cranking out the Christmas cards lately so that's what I went with. Check it out!
This is a very simple card. I love this stamp set and how easy it is to use! This set would definitely be a great one to use to mass produce those Christmas cards! I started with a card base of textured Cherry Cobbler card stock. Then I took a piece of More Mustard and scalloped the bottom of it and wrapped a piece of Basic Black narrow taffeta ribbon around the bottom. This is glued flat to the card front. Then I took a piece of Cherry Cobbler and stamped the image and greeting from Come to Bethlehem set in black StazOn. Then I sponged the edges with Cherry Cobbler and glued it to a piece of Basic Black card stock. This panel is popped up on the More Mustard. The final touch was to add a rhinestone to the star. Super easy!
Please be sure to check out the rest of the design team at Create with Connie and Mary to get more inspiration using these colors! I do hope that you will play along with us this week and post your card to the site so that we can all see what fabulous things you do with these colors! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good Sunday morning, Friends! We woke up to another cold morning! There is heavy frost everywhere and we decided to fire up the wood stove to help take the chill off in the house. Brrrr!! Yesterday's soccer game did not turn out the way we would have liked. And it ended up being really cold there, too! We thought that it would be warmer than it was so I only brought a jacket. Ha! Thankfully we had two blankets that I could wrap up in to help. But when we got home we had chili waiting for us to eat - yum!! Today will be a day of watching football! I love football Sundays!
Today's card was inspired by Mary Jo's lunchtime sketch. I thought this sketch was really cool! I love the three strips of paper that are flagged at the ends. Lots of possibilities for this one! This card would definitely make a great Christmas card to mass produce! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!
