Bermuda Birthday

Good morning, Friends! I hope you all had a great weekend! I sure did!! My friend Sherry was in town and we had a great time celebrating birthdays and stitching and visiting and laughing! My guys were gone all weekend, too, as Nick had a bike race. They got back yesterday evening and it sounds like Nick had the best time! This is his first time doing these types of races and he finished 15th out of 33! Not too bad!! I got a good bit of stamping done yesterday with no one home. It's nice to have everyone home! And Thursday we will be leaving again for a few days. Summer is flying by!

Today's card is a super quick and easy one!

  • Card base is Whisper White
  • Adhere a strip of the Cherry on Top washi tape to a piece of Whisper White card stock
  • Adhere a piece of the Cherry on Top designer paper to the panel slightly overlapping the washi tape
  • Adhere panel to card base with dimensionals
  • Stamp the greeting from Age Awareness onto a piece of Whisper White using Bermuda Bay ink
  • Use the Project Life corner rounder to round the top right and bottom left corners then adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Add a few Bermuda Bay sequins to card
I haven't used this set in quite a while and thought it fit perfectly! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Birthday Greens

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is off to a great start! Nick is doing soccer camp this week and that means I will need to send him off in a short while. Then I have the day to get some things done. Yesterday I did manage to get the laundry done! So maybe my stamping mojo will find me today? We will see...

For today's card, I started out using a sketch but I didn't like all the sketch components so I scrapped that and this is what came about. I really wanted to put Pistachio Pudding and Garden Green together. I just love how they look together! This is really simple!

  • Card base is Garden Green
  • On a piece of Pistachio Pudding, stamp the greeting from Age Awareness in Garden Green and cut out with the Starburst framelits
  • Tie a piece of of Crisp Cantaloupe twine around the starburst cut out and adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Stamp the additional sentiment onto a strip of Whisper White using Pistachio Pudding ink and adhere to card
Easy peasy!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Day 1 Preview Week and Masculine Age

Good morning, Friends! Well, it's only four more nights till we leave! Wow!! I can't believe it's here! Last minute things to do this week including laundry. I need Nick to figure out if he has enough clothes to take. And I know we will be able to do laundry there but it's easier if we don't have to. Getting SO excited!! I will have my cards ready to post without me in case I have no internet access. I should but you just never know... So we all went for another mountain bike ride yesterday. I wore a tank top and now my shoulders are sporting a pretty good sunburn. Not terrible but it is uncomfortable. And Nick did the entire trail on his unicycle! Wow! I was so impressed! He is really good! So much fun!

Today's card was a totally different card in my mind but this is what emerged. Not my favorite but I thought it made for a nice masculine birthday card.

  • Card base is Lost Lagoon
  • Run a piece of Whisper White through the Big Shot using the On Film framelits dies
  • Stamp the greeting from Age Awareness in Basic Grey onto a piece of Moonlight designer paper and adhere to the die cut piece
  • Tie some linen thread around the bottom of die cut piece and adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Stamp the candles onto a piece of Whisper White using Lost Lagoon ink and punch out with the 3/4" circle punch
  • Adhere circle to a piece of Basic Grey that was punched with the 1" circle punch then adhere to an Essentials Wooden Elements circle then adhere to card

Blackberry Cake

Good morning, Friends! And Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful hard working dads out there! Especially mine! Love you, Dad!! Yesterday we rented a mountain bike for me and went for a great ride! The weather was pretty nice - maybe the wind could have been a little less - but it was a great day! I am going to try a different bike today and we will ride again. I really love mountain biking! Woohoo! So glad to be doing it again and I can't wait to get a bike! This is what my husband wanted for Father's Day and he says he's having a great weekend so far! A little barbecue tonight and sports on the TV to finish it all off!

Today's card didn't turn out quite like I had planned. But I got to this point and didn't know what else to do so this is it. Quick, simple and very mailable...

  • Card base is Whisper White
  • Stamp the words from Age Awareness onto the card base using Blackberry Bliss
  • Adhere two pieces of Moonlight designer paper above and below the greeting
  • Stamp the candles in Hello Honey onto a piece of Whisper White and punch out with the 3/4" circle punch
  • Punch a circle from Blackberry Bliss using the 1" circle punch and adhere to stamped circle
  • Adhere circles to card with dimensionals
  • Add rhinestones to candle flames
Create with Connie and Mary Summer Collection Preview Week starts tomorrow! Be sure to stop by everyday to what little surprises are in store! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Dotty Birthday

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is off to a great start! I get my hair colored today! Yay!! I love to lighten it up for summer! I am making progress on all my stamping that I need to get done before next Thursday! Wow!!! I can't believe it's coming up so fast! We have been planning this trip since last August! So much to do!! But I do think it's all under control. As long as I don't have anymore surprises like last week when my car decided to die. Ugh! Thankfully that is getting fixed and while it is an unexpected expense, I am relieved it wasn't any worse than it was.

I had stamp club with some very fun ladies last night! It was fun to get together even though we really missed our friend, Becky. Today's card was one of the club cards from last night. I really like this set! Actually, there are two sets on this card. The dots at the bottom are from a set called Dotty Angles. I think that is going to be a favorite, too! The birthday greeting is from a set called Age Awareness. Again, I think this one will be popular, too! Anyway, both of these sets are photopolymer sets. LOVE them!!! They stamp up really nice and you can place them perfectly! Here are the details:

  • Card base is Sahara Sand
  • Stamp the dots from Dotty Angles in Sahara Sand at the bottom of the card base
  • Make a tag from Whisper White
  • On the tag start by stamping the "birthday" in Island Indigo at the bottom of the tag and then stamp the "happy" above that (makes it easier) then stamp just the bottom part of the balloon using Tangelo Twist
  • Stamp the balloon again onto another piece of Whisper White and cut out the balloon part (not the string) and adhere to the tag (you will just adhere the bottom part of the balloon to the tag - the rest hangs off)
  • Tie a piece of Island Indigo 1/4" cotton ribbon through the hole of the tag
  • Punch a piece of Tangelo Twist card stock using the dotted ribbon scallop punch and adhere to bottom of tag
  • Adhere tag to card with dimensionals
There you have it! Be sure to check out the early bird savings on the Create with Connie and Mary Summer Collection! We will be starting soon! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!
