The Stamp Review Crew: Festival of Trees

Hello everyone! It's time for another blog hop from The Stamp Review Crew! This time around we are featuring the Festival of Trees stamp set. I am your stop after the fabulous Heidi Baks!

I started my card from a sketch and then ended up doing my own thing. Now I'm not so sure I am all that thrilled with it. I hate it when that happens. But here it is and I hope that you can get some inspiration - lol!

  • Card base is Crumb Cake
  • Round the top right hand corner of a piece of Merry Moments designer paper and sponge the edges with Crumb Cake ink
  • Use the Bitty Banner punch to punch a banner from Cherry Cobbler card stock and adhere to back side of designer paper then adhere to card
  • Stamp the tree image from Festival of Trees onto a piece of Crumb Cake using Mossy Meadow ink and punch out using the Tree punch
  • Sponge edges of the punched tree using Mossy Meadow ink and adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Stamp the greeting onto a piece of Crumb Cake using Cherry Cobbler ink and punch out using the Washi Label punch and sponge the edges using Crumb Cake ink then adhere to card
  • Add rhinestones to tree
  • Tie a piece of linen thread through a basic metal button and adhere to card

There you have it! It's time to send you on to see what the fabulous Debra Burgin has created! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

A Merry Tree

Good morning everyone! I hope your week is off to a fabulous start! Not much going on around here. It is supposed to get colder this week with a storm system moving in so that will make the kiddos a little crazy - lol!

Today's card was inspired by one that I had done quite some time ago. I was going through older posts and picking out cards that I liked that I had done and trying to recreate them with current product. That was kind of fun! Think I will look for more cards to do that way!

  • Card base is Cherry Cobbler
  • Run a piece of Mossy Meadow through the Big Shot using the Styled Lines embossing folder then adhere to card base
  • Adhere a piece of Merry Moments designer paper to card
  • Flag the end of a piece of Crumb Cake and adhere to card
  • Punch a scallop circle using the 2 3/8" scallop circle punch from Cherry Cobbler card stock
  • Punch a circle from Crumb Cake using the 2" circle punch and sponge the edges using Whisper White craft ink then adhere to scallop circle
  • Adhere the scallop circle piece to the card with dimensionals
  • Stamp the greeting from Festival of Trees onto the banner using Cherry Cobbler ink
  • Stamp the tree image onto a piece of Old Olive using Mossy Meadow ink and punch out using the Tree punch
  • Sponge the edges of the tree using Old Olive ink and adhere to circle piece using dimensionals
  • Add three rhinestones to card
Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

This will be my last Christmas card of the year. But I had to make one for today!

My card is very simple.

CCMC 332

Good morning, Friends! I apologize for not posting more. I hope that changes soon! Besides having very limited time, I also seem to lack the creative mind. But I have my stamp club coming up soon and I will need to get my projects for that done this weekend. Here's to hoping I get a lot done!! But today is the Create with Connie and Mary challenge! This week we are being challenged to make a gift card holder!

Hmmm... This one was difficult for me just because I didn't want to do something that has been done a lot before. And, as I said before, my creative side is just not cooperating. So I went searching on Pinterest. I found a super simple little tag that had a pocket. Perfect! I turned it into a gift card holder!

I cut a piece of Smoky Slate at 2 3/4" x 6 1/2". The top of the tag is cut using the Labels framelits. The bottom is scored at 2" and folded up then adhered with sticky strip. I added a piece of All is Calm designer paper to the front of the pocket. The tree from Festival of Trees is stamped onto Whisper White using Pear Pizzazz ink and the circles are stamped with Lost Lagoon ink then the tree is punched out with the Tree punch. I adhered the tree to the tag with dimensionals. I stamped the pot onto Whisper White using Smoky Slate ink and cut out then adhered to the tree. I stamped the greeting onto a strip of Whisper White using Lost Lagoon ink and flagged the end then I adhered it to the tree. I tied a piece of white baker's twine through a Nordic designer button and adhered it to the tag. I punched a hole at the top of the tag and tied a piece of Lost Lagoon taffeta ribbon through the hole.

There you have it! Be sure to see all the other wonderful ideas for gift tags at the Create with Connie and Mary site! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Festival of Trees; Paper- Smoky Slate, Whisper White, All is Calm designer paper; Ink- Pear Pizzazz, Lost Lagoon, Smoky Slate; Accessories- Tree punch, Labels framelits, Lost Lagoon taffeta ribbon, white baker's twine, Nordic designer button, dimensionals

CCMC 328

Good morning, Friends! It's another Thursday challenge from the Create with Connie and Mary team! This week we have some pretty colors to work with!

Cherry Cobbler, Lost Lagoon and Smoky Slate. But what to do with them? Even though I wanted to use some of my fall stamps and accessories, I thought that these would work better with a Christmas theme.

This is a super simple card!

  • Card base is Lost Lagoon
  • Use the Tree punch to punch a tree from Whisper White and then run through the Big Shot using the Decorative Dots embossing folder
  • Adhere a piece of All Is Calm designer paper to the back of the punched piece with dimensionals then adhere to the card so that the designer paper is adhere directly to the card base and the white piece is adhered with dimensionals
  • Punch a star from silver foil paper using the itty bitty accents punch pack and adhere to top of tree
  • Stamp the greeting from Festival of Trees onto the card base using Lost Lagoon ink
  • Tie a piece of white baker's twine around a folded piece of Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon and through a basic metal button then adhere to card
Be sure to visit the Create with Connie and Mary site to see what the other designers did with these fabulous colors! While you are there check out the details of the Holiday Edition! We are about to wrap up week 3! Great ideas for last minute gift giving! I hope you will join us!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Recessed Festive Tree

Good morning everyone! I am really glad that today is a shorter day for me! I really need to get downtown to find shoes and pants! While the weather gets really nice in the afternoon, I know it is only a matter of time before it will stay colder all day. And right now all I have to wear are capris and sandals! My feet do get a little cold in the mornings! But I do have a dilemma today as the Kansas City Royals play this afternoon! UGH! What to do? I don't want to miss this game because if they win it will be another sweep! Wahoo! I guess I'll see where my car takes me after school - lol!

Today's card is another that we did at stamp club this month. As I look at this picture the colors seem "off" to me. Hmmm... That's annoying because this is a really pretty card in person.

  • Card base is Pear Pizzazz
  • Adhere a piece of All is Calm designer paper to a piece of Whisper White and use the Tree punch to punch a tree from the panel
  • Stamp the tree from Festival of Trees onto a piece of Pear Pizzazz using Garden Green ink and adhere to the back side of the cut out with dimensionals
  • Adhere the panel to the card by putting dimensionals onto the backside of the panel on the Whisper White card stock only
  • Punch a star from silver foil paper using the itty bitty accents punch pack and adhere to top of tree
  • Stamp the greeting onto a strip of Whisper White using Lost Lagoon ink and flag the end then adhere to card
  • Thread a piece of Whisper White cotton ribbon through a basic metal button and tie a knot then adhere to card
  • Add three rhinestones to card
A super simple and fun card to make! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Preview Week Day 6: Crumb Tree

Hello everyone! I was up early this morning to get Nick to the bus where he is going to the east slope to play two high school soccer games! A little too early for me but I don't think I will be going back to bed or taking a nap today. I'm hoping to get a lot out of my last day of Fall Break. Back to work on Monday! I am feeling much better but still get those annoying coughing fits. I hate those!! Nick will be back tomorrow afternoon so we will enjoy our quiet home this weekend - lol!

It's day 6 of Preview Week at Create with Connie and Mary! Two more designers have been announced and are sharing their creations along with blog candy! So make sure you visit their blogs to find out how to enter to win! Since the Holiday Edition is getting ready to launch, I decided to make another Christmas card. The Festival of Trees stamp set is just so easy to use! Love the photopolymer and the matching punch! I didn't use the punch this time.

  • Card base is Crumb Cake
  • Adhere a piece of Trim the Tree designer paper to a piece of Garden Green card stock and then adhere to card base with dimensionals
  • Ink up the tree from Festival of Trees using Garden Green ink and then use an old blender pen to lift the ink off the stem of the tree and color the stem with an Early Espresso marker then stamp onto a strip of Whisper White
  • Flag the bottom of the Whisper White strip
  • Stamp the pot image onto Whisper White using Early Espresso and cut out then adhere to bottom of stamped tree
  • Stamp the greeting onto the strip using Cherry Cobbler ink then adhere banner to card with dimensionals
  • Add a rhinestone to top of tree
  • Tie a piece of linen thread through a basic metal button and adhere to card

I was able to watch the Broncos win - woohoo!! AND I was able to watch the Royals win!!! That is so exciting!! So that made for a great weekend! I seem to have more of my voice back this morning. CCMC Holiday Card "Create"tions Blog Hop Week 2

Hello everyone! The Create with Connie and Mary Cards "Create"tions has come to the end of week 2. We are doing a blog hop at the end of each week to close the week out and give everyone a sneak peek of the set that we used during the week. You may have just come from Debbie's blog. She always has a beautiful project to inspire us all! For the end of week 2 we are showing you ways to use the Tiny Treat Boxes that are in the Holiday mini catalog. Here's what I did with mine!

I used the dots stamp from the Festival of Trees set to stamp the outside of the box using the Whisper White craft pad. This stamp is actually used to decorate the tree stamp but I thought it could look like snow on the box! Then I decided to make a simple tag. My tag seems kind of oversized for this cute little box but I couldn't resist. I made a tag from Whisper White card stock and rounded the top of it using the 1 3/4" circle punch then I ran it through the Big Shot using the En Pointe embossing folder. I stamped the tree image from Festival of Trees using Pear Pizzazz ink onto Whisper White and punched it out with the coordinating Tree punch. I stamped the "to/from" onto the tree using Mossy Meadow ink and then adhered the tree to the tag with dimensionals. I threaded some white baker's twine through a gold basic metal button and adhere it to a folded piece of Natural 5/8" Chevron ribbon and then adhere it to the tag. I adhere the tag to the top of the box making sure it would still be easy to open the box.

I love how you get a lot of boxes in a package! So many fun things to do with these cute little things! So now I send you on to Connie's blog to see what fun idea she has come up with!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
