CCMC Saturday Blog Hop: Mint Macaron

Hello everyone! Welcome to another Saturday blog hop brought to you by the Create with Connie and Mary designers! We are excited to show you projects created using the color Mint Macaron! I am your stop right after the fabulous Debbie Henderson!

I LOVE this new In Color! It is just so pretty! I am always looking for new ways to use it! Here's how I used it for this week's hop:

• Card base is Mint Macaron
• Adhere a lace paper doily to the card base
• Punch a scallop circle from Mint Macaron using the 2 3/8" scallop circle punch and adhere to center of doily
• Punch a circle from Whisper White using the 2" circle punch
• Stamp the honeycomb image from Butterfly Basics onto the circle using Mint Macaron ink (stamp off once) then sponge the edges using Mint Macaron ink and adhere to scallop circle
• Stamp the butterfly image onto a piece of Whisper White using Mint Macaron ink and cut out using the Butterfly thinlits 
• Sponge the edges of the butterfly using Mint Macaron ink and adhere to card with a dimensional
• Thread a piece of linen thread through a silver basic metal button and tie a bow then adhere to butterfly
• Stamp the greeting onto the card base using Momento ink

Minty Ferns

Good morning, Friends! It's Friday! This is going to be my mantra once again - lol! I have a meeting at school today. It's a short one so that is ok and then I can come back home. I know I will have time to work in my room next week. It just seems so crazy early to be going back to school! There is a biking camp that Nick wanted to go to next week. Instead, the biking team is going up for the weekend for a special clinic. He is excited about that! Time to get all the clothes washed and ready for school!

Today's card was one that I did for a recent swap I was in. I am in love with the Mint Macaron color and love to try out many different color combinations! This one is pretty simple!

• Card base is Crumb Cake
• On a slightly smaller piece of Crumb Cake, stamp the Hardwood background stamp using Crumb Cake (I inked the background stamp with Crumb Cake using a sponge and then lightly tapped random areas with my finger tips)
• Adhere panel to card base
• Cut the label shape from Very Vanilla using the Lots of Labels framelits and then cut one end off to create the flat edge (the top)
• Stamp the greeting from Butterfly Basics onto the shape using Momento ink
• Stamp the fern image using Mint Macaron being sure to stamp several times without re-inking
• Tie a piece of linen thread around the panel and then adhere to card with dimensionals
• Punch a butterfly from vellum using the Bitty Butterfly punch and adhere to card with a glue dot
• Add a pearl to butterfly and two smaller pearls to vanilla panel

The Stamp Review Crew: Butterfly Basics

Hello everyone! It's time for another Stamp Review Crew blog hop! This time we are featuring the beautiful set, Butterfly Basics! I am your stop right after the fabulous Cindy Beach! 

I just love this gorgeous and elegant set! I came up with a super easy card with the help of a sketch from Sketch Frenzy Friday! And I tried to use just the stamps. So here's what I came up with!

• Card base is Pear Pizzazz
• Stamp the fern image from the Butterfly Basics stamp set onto the card base using Pear Pizzazz ink (stamp the image several times without reinking)
• Stamp the dotted line image using Early Espresso ink
• Stamp the greeting using Pear pizzazz ink
• Stamp the butterfly image onto a piece of Whisper White using Blushing Bride ink and cut out using the Butterfly thinlits and adhere to card with dimensionals
• Thread a piece of linen thread through a basic metal button and tie a bow then adhere to butterfly

CCMC Preview Week Day 4!

Hello everyone! I hope you are having a fantastic week so far! Spring break is going way too fast! I can't believe that I have to go back to work on Monday! But I have spent all my money so I guess it's time - lol! Right now I'm looking forward to spending a great week with my parents! 

Today's card was inspired by my friend Becky! She had made a card similar to this one for our shoebox club a few months ago. I loved the way she used the vellum to soften the card so I decided to change it up a bit and make my own!

• Card base is Whisper White cut at 4 1/4" x 11" and folded in half
• On another piece of Whisper White cut at 4" x 5 1/4", stamp the hexagon background stamp image from Butterfly Basics stamp set using Smoky Slate ink
• Stamp the leafy image using Old Olive ink
• Stamp the sentiment using Rich Razzleberry ink
• Cut a piece of vellum at 1 1/2" x 5" and flag the bottom
• Adhere to stamped panel by putting adhesive just at the top of the vellum piece and folding it over to the back to adhere then adhere the panel to the card base
• Cut a butterfly from Rich Razzleberry card stock using the Butterfly thinlits and adhere to card with dimensionals making sure to place the butterfly so that part of the vellum gets adhered to the card
• Thread a piece of linen thread through a gold basic metal button and tie a bow then adhere to butterfly

Hello everyone! Are you all ready for the weekend? Is it Friday yet? Lol! Can you tell that I am? Actually, I'm ready for spring break! One more week!!! The boys did great last weekend in Vegas at their soccer tournament! They won three out of four! It was our best tournament yet! This weekend starts our regular season with a double header. Here's hoping they keep up the winning streak!

Today is the Thursday challenge at Create with Connie and Mary. I love playing along with their challenges! This week they have a color challenge!

Basic Black, Wild Wasabi, and Sahara Sand. I decided to go with the Butterfly Basics stamp set for this one.

• Card base is Whisper White
• On another piece of Whisper White, stamp the fern from the Butterfly Basics stamp set using Wild Wasabi ink several times along the right hand side of the panel and stamp some without reinking to give depth
• Stamp the honeycomb image onto the panel several times using Sahara Sand ink
• Stamp the sentiment using Tuxedo Black Momento ink
• Adhere stamped panel to a piece of Basic Black card stock and then adhere to card base using dimensionals
• Cut a butterfly from Basic Black card stock using the Butterflies thinlits and adhere to card with dimensionals
• Add rhinestones to butterfly body

Lost Lagoon Butterfly

Good morning everyone! My little mini vacation is over and it's time to get back to work :(. I had a very wonderful time! I got some stamping done (not as much as I had wanted) and I got to go mountain biking with my sweetie and I even got to do a little stitching! I slept in and I feel so much better right now! Plus it's a short week so I can do this!! I really can't believe how fast this year is going by! Crazy! Tonight we have a parent meeting to get Nick ready for his Sophomore year! How did that happen???

Today's card was another that I did with my club gals. Quick. Easy. And oh so pretty with that butterfly die!

• Card base is Pistachio Pudding
• On a piece of Whisper White stamp the fern from Butterfly Basics using Pistachio Pudding ink
• Tie a piece of Lost Lagoon stitched satin ribbon around the panel and adhere to card using dimensionals
• Stamp the greeting onto a piece of Whisper White using Lost Lagoon ink and punch out with the oval punch then adhere to card with dimensionals
• Cut the butterfly from Lost Lagoon card stock using the Butterfly dies and adhere to card with dimensionals
• Add rhinestones to butterfly body

Good morning everyone! It's Thursday and that means one more day closer to the weekend! Woohoo! But I must focus on today. And today is the Create with Connie and Mary challenge! Woohoo! I always love their challenges and all the great inspiration from the designers! This week we have a beautiful color challenge!

Basic Grey, Lost Lagoon and Sahara Sand are the colors to use this week. At first they reminded me of winter colors and I wasn't in the mood to do anything related to winter. Plus the temperatures have just been unseasonably warm around here! Love it! So I got out some new products and went to work!

This is a super simple card but really like how this turned out!

• Card base is Sahara Sand
• Stamp the leafy image from Butterfly Basics onto the card base using Sahara Sand ink stamping several times without reinking
• Stamp the sentiment onto the card base using Basic Grey ink
• Stamp the butterfly image onto a piece of Lost Lagoon card stock using Lost Lagoon ink and cut out using the Butterflies thinlets
• Adhere butterfly to card with dimensional
• Thread a piece of linen thread through a basic metal button and tie a bow then adhere to butterfly
