SFF 032312

Good morning everyone! Here is the newest challenge from Sketch Frenzy Friday! Take a look at this fun sketch created by Patrice Herrera.

This was a super fun sketch for me to work with! I did place some of the elements on the opposite side but that's what worked for me! Take a look at what I came up with!

I decided that I needed use up some of the SAB products! The freebies end at the end of this month. I hope you have gotten yours! Anyway, I took a piece of Very Vanilla and ran it through the Big Shot twice - once using the Adorning Accents edgelits scallop die and the second time using the Adorning Accents edgelits scallop embossing folder. This is adhered to the top of a panel that consists of a piece of designer paper from the Everyday Enchantment pack which is adhered to a piece of Calypso Coral card stock. Then I tied a piece of Pool Party seam binding ribbon around the top and popped it up onto a card base of Very Vanilla. I took a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and stamped the image from Sprinkled Expressions with Calypso Coral ink and round the corners. This is adhered to a piece of Calypso Coral card stock that has all the corners round, too. I popped this panel up onto the card. Then I stamped the greeting in Calypso Coral onto a Very Vanilla scrap and punched it out with the 1 3/8" circle punch. This is adhered to the focal panel. I used the itty bitty shapes punch pack and punched a flower from Pool Party and added it to the greeting. I also added a few rhinestones to the flowers.

I hope that you were inspired! Please take some time and check out what the other designers did with this fun sketch! Click 'here' to see what Jennifer did. And be sure to upload your creation to the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog so that we can all see what you do with this sketch! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

TSSC 209

Good morning everyone! What a beautiful day! The sun is shining and the skies look to be clear! It is still really chilly this morning but I think it is going to be very nice!! Nick has a little soccer thing he is doing this afternoon but other than that I am looking forward to just having a restful weekend! I got some stamping done yesterday and even got to work on my wool appliqué projects. My friend Becky and I have been taking classes. We have one more class next month to learn how to finish the entire project. So in the mean time I am working on some other projects, too. I really do like it!!

Today's card is one that I did for Mary Jo's Lunchtime Sketch Challenge. I liked this layout! Something fun and different - well, at least different for me. I love how the circle highlights the scallop. My card base is Calypso Coral. Then I added a circle of Early Espresso that I cut using the 3" circle die. Then I ran a piece of Wisteria Wonder card stock through the Big Shot with the Stripes embossing folder and tied a piece of Early Espresso narrow taffeta ribbon around it before adhering it to the card. I used the Perfect Pennants die and a piece of Calypso Coral card stock to cut a scallop circle. This is popped up on the card. Then I punched a piece of Whisper White with the 2 1/2" circle punch and stamped the flower from Sprinkled Expressions in Wisteria Wonder and the greeting (also from the same set) in Early Espresso. I popped this up on the card. Then I added a few finishing touches. I punched a flower from Calypso Coral with the itty bitty shapes punch pack and added a few rhinestones. A pretty simple card! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

SSSC 151

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is off to a great start! I need to finish a few projects today but that's about it!

Today's card comes from a sketch by Karen Giron. I always like her sketches! I haven't played hers in a while and decided to give this one a try. I didn't do as many layers but I like how soft this one turned out! You all know it is Sale-A-Bration time, right! I am using the SAB set called Sprinkled Expressions. I started with a card base of Whisper White and then added two panels of Blushing Bride of which I rounded the outside corners. Then I took another piece of Whisper White and ran it through the Big Shot with the Adorning Accents edgelits embossing folder. I embossed the bottom part with the hearts. I stamped the image at the top in Blushing Bride. I glued this down to a piece of Basic Grey and added a strip of Twitterpated designer paper that has one end flagged. This panel is then popped up on the card. Then I stamped the greeting - also from the same set - in Blushing Bride on a scrap of Whisper White card stock and punched it out with the 1 3/8" circle punch. I popped this up on the card. Then I took some Blushing Bride card stock and put it in the Big Shot with the Fashionable Hearts embosslit and placed the smallest heart right over the stamped hearts. I added a rhinestone for a little bling! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!
