Good morning everyone! Wow! Hard to believe that we are starting another week! Only two more weeks of school around here! I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day! I did! We ended up going out for a very nice lunch and then did some furniture shopping. We needed some good lamps for our living room and found two that work beautifully! My husband was great about helping me get a little of the kitchen and living room cleaned up, too! And the weather was perfect! Now here we are back to it!
Today's card was inspired by the challenge at CAS-ual Fridays. This week they wanted to see clean and simple projects with birds. Now I am really not a bird person so I don't have many images with birds but I did have this set, Everything Eleanor that had this bird image and I did manage to come up with something that I really like! My card base is Whisper White to which I adhered a strip of Island Indigo that has the ends flagged. Then I stamped the label from Everything Eleanor in Pool Party onto Whisper White and cut it out. I stamped the greeting from Trendy Trees in Island Indigo on the label and the label is popped up onto the card. Then I stamped the bird from Everything Eleanor in Island Indigo onto Whisper White and cut that out. This is popped up onto the label. The last thing was to punch a flower from Daffodil Delight with the itty bitty shapes punch pack and add a pearl. Pretty clean and simple! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

CFC 51 Happy Birthday!
Good morning, Friends! I hope your weekend has been fantastic! Ours was another busy one with another quick trip to south Denver. Most people went right home after the game but Pat and Nick had tickets to the Rockies game and met some friends of ours there. So I dropped them off and came to the hotel and watched it on t.v. They were off to a super start and then things pretty much fell apart for them. And then the rain started and that's when the boys all came back. Too bad for the Rockies. But it sounds like everyone had a great time! A home run ball got close to where they were sitting!!
Today's card was inspired by the theme at CAS-ual Fridays. The challenge was to create a clean and simple birthday card. I took a piece of the Just Add Cake designer paper and adhered it to a piece of Early Espresso and then to a piece of Whisper White. This is all popped up onto a card base of Whisper White. Then I took a strip of Whisper White and flagged both ends before stamping the greeting from Create a Cupcake in Early Espresso. This is adhered to the card. I punched a 1 3/4" circle from Whisper White and popped this up on the card. On a scrap of Whisper White I stamped the cupcake bottom in Wild Wasabi and the top in Blushing Bride. These were punched out with the cupcake builder punch and popped up on the circle. Then I punched a flower from Poppy Parade with the itty bitty shapes punch pack and added a rhinestone. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

CFC 26
Good morning everyone! And happy November! It's like we start counting down till Christmas. I guess it is time to start some serious Christmas shopping because I don't like to get out and do it after Thanksgiving! Nick had the day off today so we slept in. So nice! But he won't have another day off until Thanksgiving. He didn't go trick-or-treating last night. And I don't think he missed it. He really doesn't eat all that much candy anyway. And it's nice not to have it in the house so that I will be tempted! We watched a great Monday night football game instead. That was fun!!
Today's card was for the LNS challenge last week which was to create projects using leaves and/or trees. I wanted a different color combination so I looked at my Color Coach and this is what I found - Always Artichoke, Cajun Craze and Perfect Plum. Perfect Plum, really? But then I remembered a tree that we had at our last house. It was a Purple Autumn Ash. I loved that tree! The leaves turned the deepest purple in the fall. It was beautiful! So here it is on my card! I like the way it all came together! I also used the sketch at CAS-ual Fridays to get me going. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!
Card Recipe: Stamps- Autumn Splendor, Grateful Greetings; Paper- Confetti Cream, Always Artichoke; Ink- Always Artichoke, Cajun Craze, Perfect Plum; Accessories- neutrals buttons, linen thread, piercer, dimensionals
