Good morning, Friends! I hope your weekend is off to a great start! We are in Vail this weekend for a 3v3 soccer tournament. A lot of Nick's soccer team is doing this which means that there are two teams. Yesterday they played each other. Of course you want your son's team to win but it was hard to not cheer for the other boys, too. Anyway, we did lose to them. Then the boys played another game and that one ended in a tie. So two more games today and then we see what tomorrow brings. At least they are having fun. And the weather is perfect!! I even had to wear a jacket - WOW!!! I love it!!
Today's card is one that was inspired from a card that I pinned from Pinterest. Of course I had to change the colors and stamps. I stamped the floral image from My Friend in Gumball Green and So Saffron onto Very Vanilla. And then I stamped the sentiment in Gumball Green. I cut apart the panels and arranged them onto a piece of Gumball Green. I tied a piece of Gumball Green stitched satin ribbon around this and popped it up onto a card base of So Saffron. Good morning everyone! Another week is beginning! The summer seems to be starting off at a fast pace already! I know this month will fly by! Our calendar is really full of wonderful things that we will be doing! My son and his friend pitched a tent in the back yard and slept outside last night. I kind of worried about them as it got really cold last night! I think they are still asleep at the moment. I'm sure they will be up in a little while, though. I remember doing that as a kid. How fun!!
Today's card is another super easy one! I saw a similar card on Pinterest and wanted to try it out so I tweaked what I saw and came up with this one! I took the image from My Friend and colored the stems with Lucky Limeade and the flower tips with Wisteria Wonder and then stamped it onto a piece of Very Vanilla. Then I stamped the sentiment in Wisteria Wonder and added some Wisteria Wonder ribbon and two silver brads. This is then popped up onto a card base of Very Vanilla. Done! Good morning, Friends! Another week is flying by! Today is the last day of school for this week. They have conferences tomorrow and then no school on Friday as well! Yipppeee!!! We finally get to sleep in a little! Well, except for my poor husband who really could use a little extra sleep. And, according to Nick, there is less than 15 days of school left in the year! Wow! Where did all of that time go?
Today's card was inspired by one I saw on the Hero Arts website. I like to look at their website and see their art work. They make some really great cards and I think it's fun to re-create them using Stampin' Up! supplies! I really love this Mocha Morning designer paper and am so sad it will be leaving us at the end of this month. So I decided to get it used up! Actually, I have a lot of designer paper that needs to get used up! Anyway, I started with a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and added strips of the Mocha Morning designer paper to it. Then I punched a window using my 1 3/4" circle punch and rounded the corner using my 1 1/4" circle punch (love how that gives a bigger rounded corner). I laid this panel on my card base of Very Vanilla to give me an idea of where to stamp the greeting from Friendly Phrases which I stamped in Soft Suede. Then I popped the panel up onto the card. Then I took a piece of Crumb Cake to the Big Shot and used my Beautiful Butterflies die to cut the butterfly. I stamped the image from My Friend in Crumb Cake and sponged the edges with Soft Suede. Then I added a button from the neutrals buttons with some Very Vanilla narrow taffeta ribbon. This is popped up onto the card. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Today's card was inspired by an older iSpy sketch. I love the banners peeking out from the main panel. I kept my card very simple. I took three strips of Newsprint designer paper, flagged the ends, and then sponged them with Crumb Cake before adhering them to a Crumb Cake card base. Then I stamped the image from My Friend in black StazOn on Very Vanilla and sponged the edges with Crumb Cake before adhering it to a piece of Basic Black. This panel is popped up onto the card. Then I stamped the sentiment in black StazOn onto a strip of Very Vanilla. I flagged the end and glued it to the main panel. Today's card was one I did for my stamp club this month. I got the idea for this card from the recent PaperCrafts magazine. The card in the magazine used various cuts of ribbon on the side and just a sentiment on the main panel. I changed it up a bit. My card base is Soft Suede to which I added various scraps of Pocketful of Posies that were flagged on one end. Then I adhered a piece of Night of Navy. For my focal panel I stamped the floral image from My Friend in Soft Suede onto Crumb Cake. The sentiment is stamped in Night of Navy. This panel is popped up onto the Night of Navy. Then I added a flower that was punched from Poppy Parade with the itty bitty punch pack and a rhinestone. A super easy card!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good Sunday morning, Friends! We are still in Denver as the boys have another soccer game today. They did win their game yesterday so that was very exciting! After the game, Nick spent the afternoon with a friend and Pat and I got to go have a nice lunch and do a little shopping! We don't get to hang out just the two of us very often so that was really nice! We will be making our way home after the game today. Should be a really nice drive back!

They left yesterday and will be back sometime tomorrow! While I love having the house to myself, I find it hard to sleep at night. So I am a little tired this morning! Good morning, Friends! It's Monday once again. And it is the last week of July! Wow! Nick starts his conditioning camp for soccer and then practice starts next week! As I told my friend, the "crazy" starts all up again! But the boys will need to be getting ready as they have a tournament in three weeks. And right after we get back from that, school starts! I do want to tell you all (cause I know that you love to hear all about my life), Nick got up early and went to work for nearly two weeks with Pat and also did a LOT of work around here to earn money. He wanted to buy a unicycle. Well, Saturday he had earned enough to buy one. So we went to The Bike Shop and let him get it. Of course he needed to learn to ride it but he stuck with it the rest of Saturday night, and all day yesterday and by the end of the day he had pretty much learned how to get up on it (without supports) and ride it quite a ways! We were so proud of him for how hard he worked to buy it and then to learn to ride it! Now I just hope and pray that the same motivation will carry on to and through school!

Good morning, everyone! Halfway through another week! Wow! Yesterday was my dad's birthday and I forgot to mention it so "Happy Birthday, Dad!!" I could have called him anytime during the day because he is retired now!! I will be sure to do that today! So, can you believe that I was able to turn off the air conditioner yesterday evening?! We were sitting in our house with the windows open and cool air blowing through! It was SO nice!! Reminded me of fall but that isn't coming for a while. Now it will get hot again but it was really enjoyable while it lasted!

Good morning, Friends! It's time for the Thursday challenge at Create with Connie and Mary! This week's challenge will be combined with next week's challenge. You see, Stampin' Up! is having their annual convention next week and many of the design team will be going. I will not be one of those. (tears) Yes, it is a choice that I made and I am being a "big" girl about it but I will definitely miss all my wonderful stampin' friends!! Anyway, since there will be so many gone, Connie and Mary decided to combine this week's and next week's challenges together and run them for two whole weeks! That means more time to play!! So, the challenges will be both a sketch and a color challenge! I chose to go with the color challenge. But you could do the sketch or do both on the same card! Lots of possibilities! Anyway, here is the color challenge:

I think these colors are just fantastic! I love how they look together! I started my card with a base of Basic Gray textured cardstock. My panel is a strip of Basic Gray patterned paper that is notched and two strips of Pumpkin Pie that have been punched with the scallop trim border punch glued to the back. I glued this panel down to the card. Then I took So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie and used my Fun Flowers die to die cut the flowers (the top flower is actually punched with the 5 petal flower punch). The So Saffron flowers were run through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. Then I tried to "curl" the petals with my bone folder. I am not sure how well this actually turned out. Then I put an antique brad through all the layers and popped it up onto my card! The last thing I did was to stamp the greeting from My Friend in Basic Gray on Whisper White and tuck it behind the flower. And there you have it!

Good morning, Friends! What a lovely day it will be around here! I do believe it will be very summer like around here! Now I will be wishing we had a pool - lol! Oh well. Staying indoors with air conditioning and my stamps is just as good! I was up very early this morning. I felt a migraine coming on and wanted to "nip it in the butt" before it got too bad. And then since I was up I thought I would try to put together a very quick card to show you. In a little while I have to wake up my son to get him ready for basketball camp. That won't be fun! But he did say he had a great time yesterday!
