Good morning, Friends! Another week is upon us! As you know, we were in Denver over the weekend. We drove over on Saturday and the weather became an issue. We eventually made it but it was slow going for quite a while. The game was Sunday morning and they played quite well! They lost in overtime and it was a heart breaker! They had the game in hand. Ugh! I am really happy with how they played! So after the game on Sunday we went to the mall because Nick needed some track spikes. We spend some time getting those and then we have lunch. We get out on the road (and it has been very windy the whole day) and begin our journey home. I get a text from the team mom about how incredibly horrible the roads are ahead of us. Ugh! We continue hoping it gets better. Then we get a call from another parent letting us know that Glenwood Canyon is closed because of a semi accident. Ugh!! We still continued our journey home. Turned out that we went through the snow storm/blizzard, sliding down the mountain at times, watching others slide as well and seeing many cars off the road. It was awful!! And then we had to take a detour to get around Glenwood Canyon that was 3 times as long turning our 4 hour trip into a 7 1/2 hour trip! So we let Nick sleep in this morning and will take him to school after a little while. What a nightmare! And we couldn't even take home a win - lol! But Nick is really excited about his track spikes - lol! So glad the sun is shining today. But it does seem that I have another head cold or allergies. Whatever it is, I am miserable! I still hope I can get some stamping and sewing done today. We will see...
Today's card came from an idea that Judy shared at our recent Shoebox event. She made these cute candles from designer paper! I switched it up a bit as I wanted to use a sentiment from Stampin' Up! So this is how mine turned out! Super simple!! I adhered a piece of Sunshine and Sprinkles designer paper to a card base of Whisper White. Then I stamped the sentiment from Word Play in Basic Grey onto a piece of Whisper White. I added two silver brads and a rhinestone before popping this up onto the card. Then I cut a piece of designer paper for the candle and cut the top at an angle. This is popped up onto the card. I punched the flame from Daffodil Delight using the Bird builder punch (the wing part) and sponged the edges with Daffodil Delight ink. This is also popped up. Super Simple! Thanks for stopping by! Have a super day!!

Fab Friday 03
Good morning, Friends! I hope your week has started off good for you! It's an exciting day around here as Nick has his first Middle School basketball game today! He says he is really nervous but I bet all the boys are! I told him this is the start of his school sports! He is really proud to be representing his school and I think that is really neat! Anyway, I am excited for him and this is going to be a really fun adventure for us all!
Today's card is one that I did a few week's ago. It was for the Fab Friday challenge. I super simple sketch! I have really been into using this new champagne glimmer paper! It is just so fun and sparkly! I adhered three strips of the glimmer paper to a card base of Cherry Cobbler. Then I stamped the image from Word Play in black StazOn onto Whisper White and punched it out with the 2 3/8" scallop circle punch. I colored the ornament with a Cherry Cobbler marker and pierced holes in each scallop. This is popped up onto a 2 1/2" circle that was punched from Gumball Green. Then this is popped up onto the card. And that's all there is to it!

CCMC 179
Good morning everyone! It's time again for another fantastic challenge at Create with Connie and Mary! This week is a color challenge and just take a look at these very fun colors!!
The challenge colors are Poppy Parade, Lucky Limeade, and Basic Grey. The green and red spoke Christmas to me. And the grey fits right in with a silver look. Love it! So here is what I came up with.
I really do like the way this one turned out! Lucky Limeade and Poppy Parade are very bright so I used more of the Basic Grey to mute them a bit. This is one super simple card! My card base is Basic Grey. I stamped the Simple Snowflake stamp on it in Basic Grey and rounded the bottom corners. Then I took a strip of Whisper White and stamped the greeting from Word Play in black StazOn. I stamped it again on a scrap piece of Whisper White and colored the ornament with the Lucky Limeade and Poppy Parade markers and cut it out. This strip is layered onto a piece of Poppy Parade and then a piece of Lucky Limeade ruffled ribbon is tied around it and glued to the card. Then I took the cut out ornament and popped it up on the card (right over the original one). Easy!!
Please take some time to go see what the other designers have come up with! You will find their creations at Create with Connie and Mary! I do hope you will have some time to play along with us! We always love to see what you come up with! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Comfort and Joy Sparkle
Good morning everyone! Another week. Another Monday. I just can't believe how fast these weeks fly by! The soccer season ended yesterday with a WIN! Finally! The boys played really well and they found that they can win! It was really great to watch! I am so happy for them! Now they can take a little break and be ready for some winter training. Actually, these boys will be starting up again in January as we have a tournament in February. Now I think that Nick will be doing some basketball.
Today's card was inspired by one I saw on the Hero Arts blog. I love this glimmer paper! It is so bright and sparkly! This is a super simple card but I really like the sparkle and shine to it! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Remembering 9/11
Good Sunday morning, Friends! Today is a day to remember. I chose to make a card for all those brave men and women who have fought for our freedoms and those who still are. My thoughts and prayers also go out to those who were directly affected by the horrific attack ten years ago. I will never forget that day!

SC 343 Is All White!
Good Sunday morning everyone! I feel like I am up way too early! Yesterday we had a fundraiser for Nick's baseball team all day! And it was a HOT one! I almost didn't make it! Pat and Nick helped with the car wash part and I helped with the bake sale part. Looks like we made a lot of money! But, boy am I tired! Today we will be going up to see Pat's family on the mountain. And that should be fun, too. Then we start the week all over again...
Today's card meets two challenges. I used the sketch from SplitCoast and the Late Night Stamper's challenge was to make an all white card. The first thing that comes to mind with an all white card is wedding so that is what I did with mine. I do love to make all white cards. They are so elegant and you can use a lot of texture! Thanks for stopping by today!
Card Recipe: Stamps- Word Play; Paper- Whisper White; Ink- Basic Black; Accessories- Whisper White organza ribbon, 2 3/8" scallop circle punch, 1 3/4" circle punch, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, basic pearls, dimensionals

Good Friday morning! Here we are into June already!! My parents will be leaving tomorrow and that is sad. But we will be seeing them in a few short weeks! Nick will be the saddest of all as my brother (who is like an older brother to Nick) will be going, too. Nick has so much fun with his uncle! So today we have another sketch from the Sketch Frenzy Friday team! This week's sketch is brought to us by Angela Walters! Take a look:
And here is what I came up with:
And here is what I came up with:
A super simple card!! I made a 3 x 6 card for this sketch. I wanted to use stars in place of the circles and my stars were a little too big for the regular sized card. I got out my Seeing Stars stamp set and stamped the large outline star three times in Pacific Point, So Saffron, and Tangerine Tango on the same color of cardstock and cut them out. Yes, I could have used my punch but I wanted the cut line up close to the stamped line. I have a Whisper White card base and I cut a strip of Old Olive that is notched out at both ends and glued down. Then at the right hand side of the card, I took the "wish big" stamp from Word Play and inked it up with So Saffron, Pacific Point, and Tangerine Tango markers and stamped. The two outside stars are glued flat and the middle one has a silver brad in it and is popped up. And that's it!
Time to send you on to see what Jennifer has come up with. Keep going through the tour to see how each designer interpreted the sketch. Then create your own project and upload it to the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog so we can all see! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

TSSC 173
Good morning, Friends! Boy have I been a real slacker lately! I have been running out of stamping time and then when I have some I am working on my design team projects. Yesterday I made myself make one card. I hope to get the mojo going again to make several today. We will see. I decided to use Mary Jo's lunchtime sketch to get me going for this card. Here is her sketch:
And here is my card:
And here is my card:
It was really hard not to reach for my flowers for this one. But I was looking for something different. The LNS challenge this week is to make masculine cards. I think this qualifies! This dirt bike stamp has come in so handy at my house! My son just loves it!!
Remember that Mary Jo does a blog hop for her challenges so you can upload your card right here! And you can see what everyone else has done, too! Pretty cool! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!
