CAS(E) This 1

Good morning, Friends! I hope your weekend is going wonderfully! We are in Denver at the moment and will leave in a while to head to my parents' house for the Thanksgiving holiday!! I am SO excited to see my family! We decided to leave a little yesterday afternoon to get a jump on our travels. After Nick's basketball game - which didn't turn out like we would have wanted - we went to Cabella's and got his birthday present. He got a bow!! He was so excited to get it! So I know what he will be doing while at Grandpa and Grandma's house - lol!! 

Today's card was inspired by the very first sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch. I LOVE their sketches! So I gave some of the others a try. I thought this one turned out pretty sweet. I punched three 1" circles from Very Vanilla and then embossed them with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. These are then adhered to a piece of Very Vanilla, leaving room for my flower. Then I adhered this panel to a piece of Early espresso. I stamped the flower and the stem from Perfectly Preserved in More Mustard and Lucky Limeade onto a scrap of Very Vanilla and cut them out using the Cannery framelits dies. The stem is adhered with a glue dot and the flower has a metallic brad in it and is then popped up onto the card. Then I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to help me line up the greeting. This panel is popped up onto a card base of Very Vanilla with a piece of Orchard Harvest designer paper. Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

Good morning everyone! Yea!! It's Friday! And Sketch Frenzy Friday has a new sketch to play along with this week! This week's sketch was created by me! Take a look!

And here's my card!

For my card I stamped the jar from Perfectly Preserved in Early Espresso onto a piece of Very Vanilla then cut it out using the Cannery framelits dies. I adhered this to a strip of Early Espresso that was flagged at the bottom. This is adhered to a card base of Crumb Cake which has a piece of Orchard Harvest designer paper. Then I stamped the lid in Raspberry Ripple and cut it out. I wrapped some linen thread around the lid before popping it up onto the jar. I punched a piece of vellum using the oval scallop and then pierced an oval using the paper piercing essentials pack. I stamped the greeting in Early Espresso onto Very Vanilla and cut it out I popped this up onto the vellum piece and then popped up the vellum piece onto the jar. Finally I added an Early Espresso button with some linen thread.

Not a Very Merry Monday 41

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is off to a great start! Nick's basketball team ended their season with a win! So that was fun and exciting! Now we have the district tournament to look forward to at the end of this week! I think that basketball has worn him out! He is ready for a little vacation! I didn't seem to get much done yesterday - ugh! I hate it when that happens! So I really need to focus and get going! Here's hoping that it all comes together today!

Today's card was inspired by the Merry Monday sketch at Always Playing with Paper. I love the trio of circles (or any shape that you might want to have)! The Merry Monday sketch challenge is meant to be a Christmas card but I am still trying to get as many fall cards in as I possibly can. So I went in a different direction but still used the sketch. And that is also the reason for the blog title - lol! A very easy card! I adhered a strip of Orchard Harvest designer paper to the front of a Crumb Cake card base and then three 1 3/8" punched circles from Early Espresso. On Very Vanilla I stamped the apple from Perfectly Preserved in Raspberry Ripple and the stem in Lucky Limeade three times then cut them out using the Cannery framelits dies. These are popped up onto each circle. Then I stamped the greeting from Made for You in Early Espresso. And you can probably tell that I had to punch out my greeting from another piece of Crumb Cake. That is because I messed it up on my card and didn't want to take it all apart to do it over. And I do wish that I had added some rhinestones. That would have been really cute, too. Good morning everyone! And welcome to another Thursday challenge from the team at Create with Connie and Mary! I hope that you are inspired and will be able to play along with us this week! This week we are being challenged with a fabulous sketch! Take a look

Love this super simple and clean sketch! And that's what I tried to do on my card. Take a look!

I also wanted to do a fall theme. I layered a piece of Orchard Harvest designer paper onto a piece of Early Espresso and then wrapped a piece of Early Espresso 1/8" taffeta ribbon around this. This panel is then popped up onto a card base of Very Vanilla. Then I took a piece of Very Vanilla and used the Apothecary Accents to cut the shape. I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Early Espresso and then used the paper piercing essentials pack to pierce the shape inside the frame. On a scrap of Very Vanilla I stamped the flowers from Perfectly Preserved in More Mustard and the stems in Lucky Limeade. These are cut out with the Cannery framelits dies. Early Espresso brads are put into the flower centers and then popped up onto the frame. The stems are adhered with glue dots. The frame is popped up onto the card.

Flower For You

Good morning everyone! Here we are beginning another week! Wow! And it's nearing the end of October! Nick just ended his first quarter of school. Time just seems to be going by so quickly! The boys ended their soccer season on a super note! 6-1!! We needed a big win and it was nice that it came on the last game! Now we are down to one sport in our family - lol! Nick has a basketball game on Tuesday and then he has Thursday and Friday off this week. That will be a nice break! And it will be good for me to kind of catch up!

Today's card is one that I did with my stamp club earlier this month. I had wanted to use this set and coordinating framelits so I came up with this easy card. I adhered a piece of More Mustard that was cut with the Apothecary Accents framelits onto a piece of Very Vanilla. On top of this is a strip of Orchard Harvest designer paper. Then this whole panel is popped up onto a card base of Very Vanilla. I stamped the jar from Perfectly Preserved in Early Espresso onto Very Vanilla. Inside the jar I stamped the stem in Lucky Limeade and then this panel is adhered to a piece of Early Espresso and then popped up onto the card. I stamped the flower in More Mustard onto Very Vanilla and the cut it out with the Cannery framelits. I put a neutrals brad in the center before popping it up onto the jar. I also used the Cannery framelits to cut the jar top from the Orchard Harvest designer paper. I adhered the paper to a cut piece of Very Vanilla (for stability) and then wrapped some linen thread around it. This is also popped up onto the card. Finally, I stamped the greeting onto Very Vanilla in Early Espresso and cut it out by hand. This is adhered to the jar. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Greetings Friends!! It's Thursday once again and time for another great challenge from the Create with Connie and Mary team! This week we are being challenged with a sketch! Check out this fun sketch!

Something a little different for me but I like that! I like that these challenges get me out of my box! And I like how my card turned out! 

I kept my card pretty simple. I took a piece of Crumb Cake card stock and layered a piece of Orchard Harvest designer paper at an angle and then wrapped a piece of Raspberry Ripple stitched satin ribbon around it before adhering the panel to a card base of Crumb Cake. Then I layered a piece of Crumb Cake to a piece of Early Espresso and popped it up onto the card. Then I stamped the images from Perfectly Preserved onto Very Vanilla - the jar in Early Espresso, the lid in Island Indigo, the flower in More Mustard, the apple in Raspberry Ripple and the stem in Lucky Limeade. All these were cut out using the Cannery framelits dies. The lid is adhered to the jar and then popped up onto the card. I popped up the apple and tucked the stem behind it. I put a neutrals brad through the flower center and popped it up onto the jar lid. Finally, I stamped the greeting from Made for You in Early Espresso. A fun fall card!

Announcing Card "Create"tions!!

Good morning, Friends! Another week to begin! It seems we are just flying through these fall days! This past weekend we went over the mountains because Nick had soccer games. We left here on Friday and it was raining pretty good! We made it over no problem but the mountains did get a good amount of snow and when we came back over on Sunday we got to see it! Thankfully the roads were clear and dry but you can definitely see that winter will be coming! I do hope that the mountains get a lot more snow than last year!! 

Today's card was one that I made a few weeks ago. I was trying something a little different and wasn't sure that I like it. I don't hate it but it just didn't wow me - lol! I stamped the jar from Perfectly Preserved in Early Espresso onto a piece of Very Vanilla. This is adhered to a piece of Island Indigo that has the bottom scalloped with the scallop edge border punch. Then I wrapped a piece of Crumb Cake seam binding ribbon around this and tied a bow. I popped this up onto a card base of More Mustard. Then I stamped the jar lid in Island Indigo, the pear in More Mustard and the stem in Early Espresso onto Very Vanilla. I used the Cannery framelits dies to cut them out. I adhered the jar lid and the stem to the card and popped up the pear. Then I stamped the greeting in Island Indigo onto Very Vanilla and punched it out with the small oval punch. I punched a small hole and used the vintage trinkets to attach it to the bow.

Good morning everyone! I hope you are all doing well. I have to confess that I am not. Yesterday before we left my friend Sherry's house I was not feeling very good and my eye was almost swollen shut. A five hour drive home and I slept most of the way. My stomach wasn't upset or anything but I just felt awful and my head hurt!! Poor Becky! I was just an awful passenger. I went to the doctor right when I got home and he has diagnosed me as having shingles. What??? Anyway, I am up this morning trying to do what I normally do and it is very hard. :( But I will try to press on...

My card today was inspired by last week's challenge at The Paper Players to use banners on a clean and simple card. And here's mine! I stamped the jar Perfectly Preserved in Early Espresso onto a panel of Very Vanilla then the stem in Lucky Limeade and then the flowers in Island Indigo. I pierced a circle around the flowers with the paper piercing essentials pack. I added three banners made from the Orchard Harvest designer paper and popped this panel up onto a card base of Very Vanilla. Then I stamped the greeting by inking just the words with an Island Indigo marker. Finally, I added three rhinestones. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!

Good morning everyone! Wow! Another week and the last week of September!! Can this really be? I am going to be making this really short as we are heading home today. Time to get back to reality and my routine. Oh what fun we had!! You are the best, Sherry!!

Today's card was inspired by last week's sketch at iSpy. I layered a piece of designer paper from the Orchard Harvest pack onto a card base of Crumb Cake. Then I cut three strips from Early Espresso and adhered them to the card. The a strip of Crumb Cake was adhered with the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamped in Early Espresso. Then I took a piece of Very Vanilla and embossed it with the oval Designer Frame embossing folder and cut it out. This is popped up onto the card. I stamped the ear of corn from Perfectly Preserved onto Very Vanilla using Lucky Limeade, More Mustard and Cajun Craze markers. This was cut out using the Cannery framelits dies. Good morning, Friends! Today is our last full day here at our good friend's house. Boo :( But we have a full day of stitching planned! And I am excited to get a lot done! We had a most awesome time at the quilt show yesterday and even spent some time visiting a few of our favorite quilt and wool shops! Of course I spent way too much money but I love everything that I purchased! I won't get to most of them this year but they will be waiting for me next fall! The two big kits that I got are more fall oriented. Who knows? I may be so excited that I can't wait and I end up starting soon! And we can't forge that the Broncos play today! Go Broncos!!!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made. This sketch was a little challenging. I did start over a few times before I was happy. Still not sure about it but at least I don't hate it - lol! I layered strips of the designer paper from the Orchard Harvest pack onto a panel of More Mustard and then onto a piece of Early Espresso and then popped the whole thing up onto a card base of More Mustard. Then I punched a Very Vanilla circle with the 2 1/2" circle punch and stamped the pear from Perfectly Preserved in More Mustard and the stem in Early Espresso. This is layered onto a scallop circle of Early Espresso that was cut from the Perfect Pennants die. This is popped up onto the card. Then I stamped the second pear in Lucky Limeade and the stem in Early Espresso onto a scrap of Very Vanilla and cut it out using the Cannery framelits dies. I popped this pear up onto the card. Celebrating FMS 13

Good morning, Friends! I hope you are all having a super weekend! It looks to be another fine day around here! I love football Sundays! There is always something to watch! Nick's soccer game didn't go the way we would have liked. But the boys played very well! And Nick played great, too! Couldn't tell he was on crutches just a few days ago - lol! They are always so much fun to watch!

Today's card is for the challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. They are celebrating their one year anniversary and so the challenge is to pick a past sketch and use it for your creation. Well, that was really hard for me as they have SO many wonderful sketches to choose from!! I picked FMS 13. I also decided NOT to use my Googly Ghouls set - lol! Although you will be seeing a few more cards done with that set. So I picked another favorite set, Perfectly Preserved! This set is perfect for fall and the colors in the Orchard Harvest designer paper is perfect for fall, too! This is a very simple card. I punched two strips of Early Espresso card stock with the dotted ribbon scallop punch and adhered them to the back of a piece of Orchard Harvest designer paper. This is adhered to a card base of Cajun Craze. Then I stamped the ears of corn from Perfectly Preserved onto Very Vanilla using Lucky Limeade, Cajun Craze and More Mustard markers. Then I cut them out using the Cannery framelits dies. The two outer ears are adhered to the card and the middle one is popped up. Then I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Early Espresso onto Very Vanilla and punched it out with the Word Window punch and popped it up onto a piece of Very Vanilla that was punched with the Modern Label punch. This is adhered to the card. I added two rhinestones to finish it off! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning everyone! Well, it is day three of the swollen ankle (on my son) and it seems that he is doing extremely well!! Yea!! I really think that the splint along with icing it did it wonders. While it is still really bruised, he can walk on it and is pain free! I am so relieved and so is he! I still am not sure about him playing in the soccer game this weekend but I will let that be between him and his coach. 

Today is Friday!! Yea!!!! And Sketch Frenzy Friday has another wonderful sketch for you!! This week's fabulous sketch was created by Jennifer! Take a look!

So I took a brief (and I mean brief) break from my Googly Ghouls to play a little with the Perfectly Preserved set. I absolutely love this set, too! The coordinating framelits and designer paper make a great card every time! I adhered a piece of the Orchard Harvest designer paper to a piece of Raspberry Ripple card stock and then to a card base of Crumb Cake. On top of this I adhered a piece of Early Espresso card stock and on top of that I popped up a piece of Crumb Cake that I sponged with Crumb Cake ink. On Very Vanilla card stock I stamped the jar in Early Espresso, the lid in Island Indigo, the apple in Raspberry Ripple and the stem in Lucky Limeade. I used the Cannery framelits to cut them all out. The jar is popped up and the lid has Early Espresso baker's twine wrapped around it several times. I also tied and Early Espresso button on. The apple is popped up on the jar as well. Pretty simple!!

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is off to a great start! We are just settling into our weekly routine around here! I got four loads of laundry done yesterday and need to get two more done today. No problem - right? Lol!! Rain is forecasted for today and tomorrow and I really hope it does! We need it SO badly!! And rain would be a nice diversion from the hot and dry that it has been ALL summer long! The colors are turning up in the mountains. My friend Becky went up there last week and took some awesome pictures! Down in the valley, I noticed a few trees were starting to turn color as well. Fall is definitely coming!! Yea!!!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at iSpy. This is not my usual style and it seems kind of busy to me. But I love these papers from the Orchard Harvest designer paper pack. The colors and patterns remind me of fall! So I followed the sketch to be able to use these papers. I layered squares of the Orchard Harvest designer papers onto a piece of Crumb Cake and then popped up this panel onto a card base of Crumb Cake. Then I stamped the apple from Perfectly Preserved in Raspberry Ripple and the stem in Lucky Limeade onto Very Vanilla. These were cut out using the Cannery framelits. I popped this up onto a 1 1/4" circle of Crumb Cake that was adhered to a 1 3/8" circle of Raspberry Ripple and then adhered to a scallop circle of Early Espresso. This was then popped up onto the card. Then I stamped the sentiment in Raspberry Ripple onto a scrap of Crumb Cake and punched it with the small oval punch and adhered a strip of Early Espresso. I popped this up onto the card. Then I strung some linen thread through an Early Espresso button and tied a bow before adhering it to the card. Finally I added a rhinestone to the apple. Canned Apple

Good morning everyone! Wow! It was so nice to sleep in a little this morning! I slept so soundly last night! Ahhh!!! That hasn't happened for quite some time. Not too much going on today and that sounds great to me!! Just a lot of relaxing. Watching some sports on the t.v. and maybe a little crafting in between! I hope that you all are enjoying your weekend, too!

Today's card is one that I created for a recent swap that I participated in. I just love the way this one turned out! And you all know how I feel about the Perfectly Preserved set - lol! I also just love these colors together!! So the for the base part of my card I adhered a strip of the Orchard Harvest designer paper (flagging the bottom) to a piece of Crumb Cake to a piece of Island Indigo and then popping the panel up onto a card base of Crumb Cake. This I adhered a strip of Raspberry Ripple on top of this. I stamped the images from Perfectly Preserved in Early Espresso, Island Indigo, Raspberry Ripple, and Lucky Limeade onto Very Vanilla and cut them out using the Cannery framelits dies. I adhered them together and then popped up the jar onto the card. I punched a flower from More Mustard using the Boho Blossoms punch and a circle from Early Espresso using the itty bitty shapes punch pack. This is adhered to the jar with a bitty button and some Early Espresso baker's twine. Good morning everyone! Yea!!! It's Friday!! We are ready for a long weekend! I hope that you all get some time off this week to play along with us at Sketch Frenzy Friday! This week's sketch was created by Tammy Fite. Take a look!

Great sketch!! It was something a little different for me and I found out that it was FUN!! Take a look at what I did!

I kept it all very simple. I adhered two squares of the Orchard Harvest designer paper to a card base of Crumb Cake. Then I used the Apothecary Accents framelits dies to cut a frame from Very Vanilla card stock. I stamped the greeting from Perfectly Penned in Early Espresso and used the paper piercing essentials pack to pierce inside the frame. This is popped up onto the card. I stamped the flower from Perfectly Preserved in Raspberry Ripple onto Very Vanilla card stock and cut it out using the Cannery framelits dies. I put a brad in the flower center and attached it to the frame.

Flower in a Jar

Good morning, Friends! Wow! Another Monday has rolled around! What a great weekend we had! The soccer team won their game yesterday and that was great as we haven't beat that team until yesterday! Now it's back to the routine of school and practices with a dentist appointment thrown in for good measure - lol! And then September comes. I think I am ready for fall. How about you?

Today's card was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest. Great simple layout! And I used my new favorite stamp set and colors! Are you tired of see this set? I am hoping to spend some time creating today so I will try to break out a different stamp set. For this card I stamped the jar from Perfectly Preserved in Early Espresso onto a piece of Very Vanilla, then the stem in Lucky Limeade, then the flower in Raspberry Ripple, and then the greeting from Sweet Essentials in Early Espresso. I took a piece of Early Espresso card stock and tore the edge before adhering it to the back of the stamped panel. Then I pierced a circle around the flower image using my paper piercing essentials pack and added two pieces of Orchard Harvest designer paper that were flagged and popped this panel up onto the card. Finally I added a rhinestone to the flower and called it done! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Canned Tag

Good morning, Friends! I hope your weekend is going great! I know that I told you that we had the house to ourselves last night. It was pretty quiet around here! We ended up just enjoying the quiet and got some things done around here before ordering a pizza. Yep, nothing fancy. But it was nice. So, we will be picking him up soon and then he has another soccer game (they tied their game yesterday). AND... it is my husband's birthday, today, so we will be shopping for some new shirts for him (he needs some badly) and then our wonderful friend, Becky, will be making a glorious dinner and dessert! Can't wait for chicken and noodles!! Yum!!! 

Today's card was inspired by one that I saw on Pinterest. I loved the tag that they used so I tried to make it a little different on mine. Used a different set and here is what I came up with. I adhered a strip of Orchard Harvest designer paper onto a card base of Crumb Cake and then stamped the greeting from Friendly Phrases in Early Espresso. Then I cut a piece of Crumb Cake to 2 3/8" and slid the top part into my 2 1/2" circle punch and punched the top part of the tag to round it. I flagged the bottom part and then popped this up onto the card. I stamped the images from Perfectly Preserved in Early Espresso, Island Indigo, Raspberry Ripple and Lucky Limeade onto Very Vanilla and cut them out using the Cannery framelits dies. I adhered these together and popped them up onto the tag. Then I added a bronze button with some Crumb Cake seam binding ribbon to the top of the tag. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends!! Are you all ready for a great weekend? I guess that first week of school wore me out a little - lol!! It was really nice to sleep in a little. A little later we will be going to Nick's first soccer game of the season! I am so excited for them to get this season started! And I think they are ready to go out and win!! Then Nick has a birthday party sleep over, so Pat and I will have the evening to ourselves! Gee, whatever will we do :))))

Today's card come from a sketch at Freshly Made. Yep! I used the Perfectly Preserved set! Love this set!!! I ordered a brand new package of Crumb Cake two weeks ago and I need to get another one ordered! I just love how all these colors go together!! And you will be seeing this set for a few more cards (in a row). Did I say how much I love this set? :) O.k. This card is so super simple looking but not so much a simple card to make. Well, it might be for you all but I had to start over several times - lol! I drew a light pencil line on my card base of Crumb Cake. Then I used the stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the apples and stems and I stamped them in Crumb Cake. Then I stamped the other apple in Raspberry Ripple onto Very Vanilla and the stem in Lucky Limeade onto Very Vanilla and used the Cannery framelits to cut out those pieces. I popped up the apple onto the card, covering one of the Crumb Cake apples. Then I used the sentiment from Made for You and stamped it in Early Espresso. Finally I added a rhinestone for a little bling!! I did erase the line very carefully, too. Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!!

Good Friday morning everyone! Wow! Another week that has flown by! My son just finished his first week of school and all seemed to go well! Yea!! Now we start a weekend of soccer games and fall seems to be in the air! Sketch Frenzy Friday has a new sketch for you to play with! This week's sketch is provided by Tina Munzke. Take a look!

I love how she kept her sketch really simple! So I tried to keep my card the same. Take a look!

I am loving this new set from the Holiday mini catalog, Perfectly Preserved and matching Cannery framelits dies! I apologize now for all the cards you will be seeing with it - lol!! I stamped the apple image from Perfectly Preserved three times onto a strip of Crumb Cake in Raspberry Ripple and Lucky Limeade. Then I stamped the same images onto a piece of Very Vanilla and used the Cannery framelits dies to cut them out. I popped the cut image up onto the strip. The strip is popped up onto a piece of Crumb Cake that went through the Big Shot with the Argyle embossing folder. This is then adhered to a piece of Early Espresso and then popped up onto a card base of Crumb Cake. I stamped the greeting in Early Espresso onto a piece of Very Vanilla and cut it out. It is adhered to the card. And finally, I added a rhinestone to the main apple!

Good morning everyone! I finally have a post for you!! I have discovered something about myself: I am just not creative in the evenings. Sunday I had planned to make a few cards for the upcoming week and we ended up being out of the house the entire day. So when we got home I thought I would try to get a card ready for Monday. Well, I tried. I just couldn't get "it" together and thought I would work on Monday. Well, Monday turned into another "one of those days" and I didn't even get into the craft room. So yesterday I HAD to do something. After dropping Nick off at school I got some laundry ready and then headed to the craft room. And things started coming together! I am looking forward to getting more done today! Nick's Back-to-School Night is tonight and I look forward to meeting his teachers. He seems to like his schedule and his teachers! That's good news!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch from Freshly Made. Like I said, I had every intention of having this card done on Monday so needless to say, I missed the deadline to enter it. But it is a great sketch! I also caved in and got the Perfectly Preserved set along with the matching framelits. I am SO glad I did! I am loving these new toys!! I also got the Orchard Harvest designer paper. I am considering this my fall type stamps - lol! For this card I tok a piece of Orchard Harvest designer paper and adhered it to a card base of Crumb Cake. Then I took three strips of Early Espresso card stock and flagged one end of each. These are adhered to a piece of Very Vanilla and popped up onto the card. I stamped the images from Perfectly Preserved onto a piece of Very Vanilla (jar lid in Raspberry Ripple, jar in Early Espresso, pear in Lucky Limeade with Early Espresso for the seeds and the stem in Lucky Limeade and Early Espresso). I used the matching Cannery framelits dies to cut these all out - super easy!! I added some Early Espresso baker's twine to the jar lid along and assembled these all together and then popped the jar up onto the card. I stamped the greeting in Early Espresso onto a piece of Very Vanilla and cut it out by hand (because I don't have the Bitty Banners framelits dies) and it is adhered to the jar. Finally, I added an Early Espresso button with some Early Espresso baker's twine. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!
