Good morning, Friends! It is really foggy around here this morning! My son and husband left just a little while ago for Kansas! Yep! The whole house to myself! Woohoo!! I have a shorter day at school today and was hoping to come home and start the fun but I have to go to the DMV. UGH!!! My driver's license expires on my birthday (which is Friday) so I had better take care of that today. Not looking forward to that but it has to be done. I hope that my family has good roads all day today!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Paper Craft Crew Challenges! I was really inspired by Justin's card! WOW! I wanted to copy that one but decided to take it in a different direction. I am loving this Snuggles & Smooches set! I kept my card very simple!

  • Card base is Whisper White
  • I stamped the squiggle circle from Snuggles & Smooches onto the card base using Crisp Cantaloupe ink
  • Punch a banner from a piece of Stacked with Love designer paper using the Bitty Banner punch and adhere to the back of a strip of another piece of Stacked with Love designer paper then adhere to card
  • Stamp the sentiment onto a piece of Whisper White using Calypso Coral ink and cut out then adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Stamp the heart image onto Whisper White using Real Red ink and cut out then adhere to card
  • Add a variety of rhinestones to card
Super simple but so much fun! Preview Week is going on at Create with Connie and Mary! Debbie is sharing a fantastic card with you all! Be sure to stop by and see what the fun is all about! While you are there, take advantage of the early bird pricing on the Spring Collection! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! I hope you had a fantastic weekend and are ready for a new week! Seems like those weekends just fly by! The boys lost their soccer game yesterday. And that was a real bummer! It means that we won't be in the State Cup tournament. :( I know the boys really wanted to win. I guess they will have to try it again next year. So now we just play the games for the season and hope that we win our division and can move up to the next level. And so our busy soccer season begins! The weather yesterday felt like summer almost! Wow! We were really hot and I didn't dress accordingly. I finally took off my shoes to help cool down a bit. I got sunburned on my feet - lol!! It felt so good! But now it is supposed to snow again on Tuesday (in Denver, rain in our area). Yep! It's that crazy spring weather!!

Today's card was one that I had made quite a while ago. It was inspired by the sketch at Paper Craft Crew Challenges

  • Card base is Baked Brown Sugar
  • A layer of Baked Brown Sugar was run through the Big Shot using the Arrows embossing folder then adhered to the card with dimensionals
  • Run a piece of Very Vanilla and a piece of Retro Fresh designer paper through the Big Shot at the same time using the Banners framelits and adhere together (the Very Vanilla helps add stability to the designer paper)
  • Add three mini brads to banner then adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Stamp greeting from Geometrical in Coastal Cabana onto Very Vanilla and flag the ends then adhere to card
  • Punch a circle from So Saffron with the 1/2" circle punch and adhere to card
  • Stamp the arrow from Geometrical in Tangerine Tango onto Very Vanilla and cut out then adhere to card
Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

  • Stamp greeting in Baked Brown Sugar onto Very Vanilla and punch out with the 2 1/2" circle punch
  • Cut bottom part of circle off and adhere a Hardware Essentials clip to circle then use dimensionals to adhere circle to card

Good morning, Friends! I hope you all had a super great Fourth and a fantastic weekend! I am back from my trip to see my family in Kansas! We got back last night with time to unpack and unwind a little from the long drive. We had SO much fun setting off firecrackers - well, Nick did! This is almost as fun as Christmas for him! And the fireworks show was a huge hit! We even had people stop along the road to watch! We really know how to do it - lol!! Now it's back to the regularly scheduled events of the week. Nick has a haircut and I need to go grocery shopping.

Today's card was one I did for a recent swap. I used the sketch at Paper Craft Crew Challenges to help me with the layout and the Color Coach helped me pick out some different colors. And I do like the way this turned out! The sketch is from a while back but it is a fun one! Here are the card details:

  • Card base is Summer Starfruit
  • Layer of Summer Starfruit
  • Layer of Smoky Slate that was run through the Big Shot using Modern Mosaic TIEF then adhered to Summer Starfruit layer
  • Tie Summer Starfruit stitched satin ribbon around this and pop up onto card base
  • Cut a strip of Elegant Eggplant and a strip of Summer Starfruit card stock and flag bottoms of both then adhere to card
  • Use 3" die to cut circle from Whisper White and then trim some off the top
  • Stamp border image from Mosaic Madness in Summer Starfruit and sentiment from Petite Pairs in Smoky Slate
  • Adhere circle to card by tucking the top part up under the ribbon
  • Stamp mosaic image in Smoky Slate onto a scrap of Whisper White, punch out with mosaic punch and pop up onto card
  • Stamp small mosaic image in Elegant Eggplant onto a scrap of Whisper White, cut out and adhere to first mosaic image
  • Add a rhinestone to center
And there you have it! Thanks for stopping by and for all you wonderful comments! I love hearing from you! Have a fantastic day!

Good morning, Friends! Looks like it snowed again last night. Not as much as the night before but there is some white stuff out there. Yesterday's snow melted off before the day was over. And now we have more but that's o.k. We really need the moisture and to have it all melted off by the end of the day means that it isn't getting as cold as it was just a month ago! And I love how the days are getting just a little longer! I feel spring coming on!! Today we are headed out for breakfast and then Nick has two basketball games! Looking forward to that! His cough is getting a little better but still needs those inhalers. So glad it wasn't anything more serious.

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Paper Craft Crew Challenges. I kept this one pretty simple. Two corners of a piece of Sycamore Street designer paper are rounded and then adhered to a card base of Sahara Sand. Then an oval that was cut from Island Indigo using the Oval framelits dies was cut and and adhered to the card. I stamped the oval image from Oh, Hello in Summer Starfruit onto Whisper White and cut it out with a smaller oval from the Oval framelits dies. The greeting is stamped in Island Indigo. This is popped up onto the card. On top of this I adhered a strip of Pool Party with the end flagged. Then I cut I butterfly from Tangerine Tango using the Beautiful Wings embosslit. This is adhered to the card. Finally, I added a button from the Sycamore Street ribbon and button pack with some white baker's twine tied through it. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! I hope your weekend is going great! It's another COLD one around here! My husband said it was -8 this morning! The sun will come out but the inversion is what is making it so cold around here. And the snow doesn't melt very fast, either. But there are more play-off games today so no need to go outside - lol! Plus I need to make some more cards for the blog. I had better get to work on that today as well!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Paper Craft Crew Challenges. And can I just say that I love the way this one turned out? This is image is just SO adorable!! I took a piece of the More Amore designer paper and flagged one end. This is adhered to a piece of Primrose Petals. I tied a piece of Very Vanilla seam binding ribbon around this and added an antique brad. A piece of Pool Party was run through the Big Shot with the Designer Frames embossing folder. I cut the frame out and sponged it with Pool Party ink. I cut a piece of Very Vanilla card stock to fit just inside the frame and stamped the image from Greeting Card Kids in black StazOn. I colored the image with Pool Party, Primrose Petals and Daffodil Delight inks and a blender pen. This is adhered to the frame and then popped up onto the card. I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in black StazOn and popped up the panel onto a card base of Primrose Petals. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning everyone! I hope you are having a super weekend! Last night Becky, Emily, Sherry and I got together to celebrate our Christmas and Emily's and my birthdays. It was SO much fun! Since Sherry moved away, we have to be a little more strategic about when we do these things. She was in town this weekend so that is why we did it all now. It was so great to see her and get caught up on everything. And Becky made her famous chicken and noodles and graham cracker ice cream - YUM!! Thanks girls!! I had the best time and I LOVE all my gifts! You are the best!!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Paper Craft Crew Challenges. I used a piece of Print Poetry designer paper and adhered it to a piece of Raspberry Ripple that was punched along the bottom with the scallop edge border punch. This is then adhered to a piece of Primrose Petals that was run through the Big Shot with the Honeycomb embossing folder. A piece of Raspberry Ripple stitched satin ribbon was tied around it before it was adhered to a card base of Very Vanilla. Then I stamped the greeting from Oh, Hello in Raspberry Ripple onto Very Vanilla and punched it out with the Decorative Label punch. This is popped up onto the card. A butterfly was punched from Summer Starfruit using the Bitty Butterfly punch. I added a metallic brad and adhered it to the card. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Honeycomb Thanks

Good morning everyone! Wow! Here we are at the last day of 2012! What a very fast year it has been! Do you all have New Year's Eve plans? We generally like to just be at home and go to bed early. But this year some friends of ours invited us over to play games and snack (like I need more food). Should be a fun time! Then we can sleep in and lounge around tomorrow.

Today's card is another that shows a peek of some of the new products! This card layout was inspired by the sketch at Paper Craft Crew Challenges. I made it quite a while ago that it won't be entered into the challenge but that's o.k. I really like how this turned out! I just love Crumb Cake and Midnight Muse together!! I ran a piece of Crumb Cake through the Big Shot with the Honeycomb embossing folder. Then I stamped the greeting from Oh, Hello in Midnight Muse onto a piece of Very Vanilla. This is adhered to a piece of Midnight Muse and popped up onto the Crumb Cake piece. Then I flagged one end of a piece of Print Poetry designer paper and adhered it to the Very Vanilla piece. I added three brads and then adhered this panel to a card base of Midnight Muse. I punched a 1 1/4" circle from Midnight Muse and adhered it to the card. Then I stamped the flower using Midnight Muse and Gumball Green markers onto Very Vanilla. I cut this out and popped it up onto the circle. Thanks for stopping by and have a super safe New Year's Eve!!!

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is off to a great start! We had a nice evening last night as Nick only had basketball practice. We came home and had a nice home cooked meal and then watched football! I'm glad it will be this way for a little while! He has a game after school today and that will be fun!!

Today's card was done quite a while ago. I almost forgot about it! And I do like the way it turned out. It was inspired by the sketch at Paper Craft Crew Challenges. It's a simple card and would be a great one for mass production and even mailable! I took a piece of Very Vanilla and ran it through the Big Shot with the Argyle embossing folder. I adhered a strip of Cherry Cobbler to the back and then adhered it to a card base of Very Vanilla. Then I took some Very Vanilla card stock and punched each shape from the Merry Minis punch pack. After punching the shape, I then used the Postage Stamp punch and punched it out. The fourth square is just the Postage Stamp punch. I popped up each square onto a piece of card stock - Gumball Green for the tree, Cherry Cobbler for the ornament and champagne glimmer for the star. These are then adhered to the card. Then I stamped the sentiment from Sweet Essentials in Cherry Cobbler onto a strip of Very Vanilla and flagged one end. This is adhered to the fourth square. I added a rhinestone for some bling! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Sweet Essentials; Paper- Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, champagne glimmer paper; Ink- Cherry Cobbler; Accessories- Argyle embossing folder, Merry Minis punch pack, Postage Stamp punch, rhinestones, dimensionals
