Good Friday morning everyone! I am SOOOOO excited because today is the first day that we can order from the NEW Stampin' Up! catalog!!! Yippppeeee!!! I am also pleased to bring you the latest sketch challenge from Sketch Frenzy Friday! This week's sketch was created by Sharon Wheet. Take a look!

Lots of wonderful possibilities here!! And here's what I came up with!

I kept it pretty simple! I started by making my flower. I used the Mixed Bunch set to stamp my flower in Raspberry Ripple onto Whisper White and then punch it out with the Blossom punch. Then I stamped the flower center in Pretty in Pink also onto Whisper White and cut it out. I popped the flower center onto the flower. Then I stamped the greeting from A Word for You in Raspberry Ripple onto a strip of Whisper White and flagged one end. I tucked the other end behind the flower center. I used Old Olive to die cut some leaves with the Little Leaves sizzlet and adhered these to the back of the flower. All of this is popped up onto a square of Whisper White. My card base is Whisper White with a piece of Raspberry Ripple that has been run through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice embossing folder. Then the square panel is popped up on top of that. The finishing touch is a rhinestone for the flower center!

Be sure to click 'here' to see what Jennifer has come up with! Take the entire tour to see what the other designers have done with this great sketch! I hope that you will have some time to create a project using this sketch! Be sure to upload your creation to the Sketch Frenzy Friday site so we can all see! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Butterfly for You

Good morning everyone! Time to start another week! Time sure does seem to fly by these days! Hopefully things will start to slow down around here as we won't have to do any traveling for games for a while. It's fun to get out of town but it is nice to be home, too. And I do have a lot of chores that need to get done. I hope to find the motivation to get them done these next few weeks.

Today's card was inspired by one that I have saved on my Pinterest board. So clean and so simple!! I did add the striped embossing to mine. My card base is Whisper White that I ran through the Big Shot with the Stripes embossing folder. Then I punched a 2 1/2" circle from Whisper White and stamped greeting from A Word for You in Night of Navy. I punched another 2 1/2" circle from the Pocketful of Posies designer paper and cut it to fit just under the words. Then I took a piece of Baja Breeze card stock and ran it through the Big Shot using the Beautiful Wings embosslit. I added a mini brad and adhered it to the circle. The circle is popped up onto the card. Super simple! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! Time for another great sketch challenge at Sketch Frenzy Friday! This week's sketch was created by Kim Innis! And what a fun sketch it is!

These banners sure seem to be all the rage right now! And I do love using them, too!! They add a really fun element to card making! So this is how I interpreted it.

I took a piece of Whisper White and added three strips of designer paper from the Pocketful of Posies pack. I took a piece of Whisper White and ran it through the Big Shot with the Lots of Tags sizzlets. This is popped up onto the card. Then I stamped the leaves/stems from Flower Fest onto Lucky Limeade in Lucky Limeade ink and the flower onto Rich Razzleberry in Rich Razzleberry twice. I cut out the leaves/stems, one whole flower and then just the middle of the second. I put a flower brad in the flower center and popped this up onto the flower. I arranged the leaves/stems and the flower onto the tag and glued them down. I wrapped a piece of Lucky Limeade ruffled ribbon around this and stamped the greeting from A Word For You in Rich Razzleberry. This panel is popped up onto a card base of Whisper White.

A Mocha Morning Anniversary

Good morning, Friends! I can't believe we are starting another week! And the last full week of October! It has really gone by quickly! Nick starts a new quarter at school today with a new elective that he is excited about. Thankfully, it is a short week! I didn't sleep well last night so I am already looking forward to Thursday when I can sleep in - lol! Just another week of routine practices and homework.

Today's card was copied from one of the cards that we did in card class this month. I just changed it up to use Stampin' Up! products. I had just gotten the Mocha Morning designer paper and was dieing to use it somehow. But I was too afraid to cut into it. I mean it is SO pretty! So I used this card to help get me started and I made several cards with this paper! This is a super simple card and I thought it made a pretty anniversary card (or birthday or whatever occasion). Thanks so much for stopping by and have a super day!

Need for Speed

Good morning everyone! I was finally able to sleep in a little this morning and it felt good! We have been so busy this weekend watching various baseball games that it is hard to believe that we are starting a new week again! Fruita still has a couple of teams that are still in the tournament! And we will be watching one of those teams tonight. If either of them loses one more game then they are out. Go Fruita!!

Today's card is another that was inspired by the catalog. This comes from page 77 - the whale card. The card was really super simple and is a more masculine card. I don't make a lot of those. Anyway, thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

FTL 144

Good morning, Friends! Wow! I can't believe that we are in the middles of June already! Where is all the time going? I have a lot that I really need to do today and then Nick and I leave tomorrow for Boulder for another soccer tournament. Crazy! So I do hope that I find time to stamp today so that I can post while I am gone.

Today's card is another one that I did with my stamp club this month. This card was a big hit! And it is so simple! I think the reason it is such a hit is because of the nice bright colors - Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry. I used the layout from Clean&Simple. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Happy Friday, everyone! And time for another great sketch challenge at Sketch Frenzy Friday! This week's sketch was designed by Ros Davidson. Take a look:

Isn't it great? And here is what I did with it:

I am just loving the Fabulous Florets set! And I am finding more to do with this designer paper than I ever thought I would! For today's card I started with a card base of Whisper White and then glued down a piece of Pacific Point. Then I cut four panels of the new designer paper Beyond the Garden and glued those down. I cut a strip of Daffodil Delight and glued that at the bottom of the Pacific Point. I used the Lots of Tags sizzlet and die cut a tag to stamp my greeting in Pacific Point. The greeting comes from A Word for You. this is popped up and a flower punched with the itty bitty shapes punch pack in Daffodil Delight is glue dotted down with a pearl in the center. Then I stamped the stem and flowers on Whisper White in Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango and cut them all out. These are popped up as well. And there you have it!

So now it is time for you to go see what Jennifer did with the sketch. Be sure to click all the way through the tour to get inspired. Then go and create your project using the sketch provided and upload it to the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog so we can all see! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

FTL 132

Good Monday morning! Here we are at the beginning of another week! My husband's business is starting to take off for the season so that means he will be gone in the early morning and most of the day. And I am starting to look for a part time job again. I think I am ready to find something now. I have applied for a couple that I think would be perfect for me but we will see what happens.

Today's card was inspired from the sketch at Clean & Simple. This was from last week's sketch. I seem to be a week behind on these things. But that's o.k. They are all great sketches and it's good to use them! This one was really simple and I just love the way it turned out! I used a stamp set I hadn't used in a while, too. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

CCMC 143

Well, this month seems to be flying by! I can't believe it's Thursday and time for another challenge with Create with Connie and Mary! This week, Connie and Mary are challenging us with this sketch. Check it out!

And boy was this sketch challenging! I worked and re-worked my designs. I scrapped most of them. But then I finally decided I liked this card. I also wanted some fun spring colors. So I went to my Color Coach and found these: Marina Mist, Pink Pirouette, Soft Suede and Certainly Celery. I started with a card base of Marina Mist and then added a panel of Pink Pirouette with Whisper White satin ribbon tied around it. For the scalloped squares, I punched two from Soft Suede and then used my scallop squares duo die to cut the third from Soft Suede. I then ran them through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. I cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock to fit in the middle scallop square to kind of "highlight" it. Then I used my Birds & Blossoms sizzlets to cut the flowers and leaves. I added silver brads and the middle flower is popped up (the middle scallop square is also popped up). The last thing was the greeting from the A Word for You stamp set which is stamped in Soft Suede. Done!

Be sure to visit the Create with Connie and Mary website for more wonderful inspiration! We would love to see what you do with this sketch! And don't forget that when you use 100% Stampin' Up! products, you are entered into a drawing to win a FREE subscription to Create Summer Edition! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!
