CCMC Saturday Blog Hop: Hello Honey Leaves

Good morning everyone! It's time for another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop! This week we are featuring fall cards that use one or more of the old In Colors! I am your stop after the fabulous Debbie Henderson!

Fall is my favorite time of year! The leaves are turing a beautiful golden yellow and that was my inspiration for this card! I decided to use the beautiful In Color, Hello Honey and the Vintage Leaves stamp set!

  • Card base is Whisper White
  • Adhere a strip of Rich Razzleberry washi tape (from the Happy Haunting designer washi tape) to another piece of Whisper White
  • Stamp the smaller leaf from the Vintage Leaves stamp set onto the panel using Hello Honey ink (I stamped off once before stamping onto my panel)
  • Stamp the splotches from the Perpetual Calendar stamp set onto the panel using Crumb Cake ink (I stamped off once before stamping onto my panel)
  • Adhere panel to card base
  • Stamp the two other leaves onto a piece of Hello Honey card stock using Momento ink and cut out using the Leaflets framelits
  • Sponge the leaves using Hello Honey ink then adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Stamp the greeting from And Many More stamp set onto a strip of Whisper White using Momento ink and flag one end then adhere to card
  • Thread a piece of linen thread through a gold basic metal button and tie a bow then adhere to card
  • Add a few gold sequins to card

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop: Keep It Simple Fall Card

Hello everyone! Welcome to another Saturday blog hop with the Create with Connie and Mary designers! This week we are featuring more great Fall projects but keeping it simple. I am your stop after the fabulous Debbie Henderson

When I first saw the assignment for this week's hop I was instantly excited! I love simplicity and I love projects that are very simple and yet make a statement! But then I stressed myself out because I thought I would be making it too simple. So I calmed myself down and remembered that "simple" is what I do best and I didn't need to stress out. And then this happened...

  • Card base is Crumb Cake
  • Use the splotchy image from Perpetual Calendar stamp set and stamp onto the card base with Crumb Cake ink
  • Cut the leaf image from Crumb Cake card stock using the Leaflets framelits and sponge the edges with Crumb Cake ink
  • Stamp the sentiment from For All Things stamp set onto the leaf using Early Espresso ink
  • Adhere leaf to card with dimensionals
  • Thread a piece of linen thread through a gold basic metal button and tie a bow then adhere to card
Before I send you on, I want to give you a sneak peek of what's to come in the October Create with Connie and Mary mini edition! Lots of very fun projects for the fall and Christmas season! Check it out!

I hope you will plan to join us for this month's edition! Time to send you on to see what the fabulous Connie Babbert has created! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a super day!

Happy Howl-o-Ween!

Good morning everyone! Are you all ready for another week? Ready or not, here it comes! Two more full weeks of school and then it's a short week for us because our fall break will start! Woohoo! I can hang on till then, right? I am so ready for our fall break! We had a great weekend of high school bike racing! Two more weeks and we will have another! I love those weekends! We even went for a ride last night! The evenings are a little cooler and that makes riding more enjoyable! It is supposed to rain the next couple of days so we will see how much riding we can do. I am ready for the cooler fall temperatures!

Today's card was one I did with our shoebox group this month. I needed something pretty quick and easy.

  • Card base is Crumb Cake
  • Stamp the dots from the Perpetual Calendar stamp set onto the card base a few times using Basic Black archival ink
  • Punch a circle from Crushed Curry using the 2" circle punch and sponge the edges using Crushed Curry ink
  • Adhere the circle to the center of a spider web doily and adhere the doily to the card
  • Stamp the owl image from Howl-o-Ween Treat onto Very Vanilla card stock using Blackberry Bliss ink and cut out using the Boo To You framelits
  • Adhere owl to card with dimensionals
  • Stamp the greeting from And Many More onto a strip of Very Vanilla and flag the end then adhere to card
Don't forget that the Create with Connie and Mary September mini session has started! We are featuring some great projects for the upcoming holidays! You can still sign up to see all the wonderful ideas! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Control Freaks Blog Tour: Time to Celebrate

Hello everyone! Welcome to the Control Freaks Blog Tour! We are so excited to inspire you with our ideas with the theme of Celebrations! I am your stop after the talented Patty Bennett! Please note that if you are viewing this before the 20th, all the links may not be working. Be sure to stop by again on the 20th when everything should be in working order! Now on to my projects...

For my first project I used the Cheerful Critters stamp set. I just think these little guys are the cutest! And you can put any small sentiment inside the signs! I love it! I thought that this little guy would be great for a young boy's birthday or achievement! I used the Sweet Sunday Sketch to help me with the layout.

  • Card base is Whisper white
  • Run a piece of Lost Lagoon card stock through the Big Shot using the Lucky Stars embossing folder and adhere to card
  • On a piece of Whisper White stamp the image from Cheerful Critters using Tuxedo black Momento ink and stamp the sentiment inside the sign
  • Color the bear using Crumb Cake and a blender pen and his shirt using Lost Lagoon and Pear Pizzazz markers
  • Cut a strip of Pear Pizzazz card stock and use the fringe scissors to fringe the end then adhere to the stamped panel
  • Tie a piece of linen thread around the panel and then tie a button gold basic metal button on
  • Adhere the panel to the card with dimensionals
For my next card I went a little more sophisticated. I love sunflowers. So I wanted to try to recreate a sunflower since I don't have any sunflower stamps. I found an idea where someone had layered the stamps from the Petal Potpourri stamp set and a light bulb went off (trust me, it doesn't happen often - lol)! I love how this turned out!

  • Card base is Crumb Cake
  • On another piece of Crumb Cake stamp the sentiment from Because You Care stamp set using Early Espresso ink
  • Adhere the panel to a piece of Early Espresso card stock and then adhere to the card base using dimensionals
  • Stamp the butterflies stamp from the Perpetual Calendar stamp set onto the card base using Crumb Cake ink
  • Stamp the solid flower image from the Petal Potpourri stamp set onto a piece of Whisper White card stock using So Saffron ink then stamp the lined image right over the top using Hello Honey ink (note: it is most helpful to use a Stamp-a-ma-jig)
  • Punch the flower out using the Flower Medallion punch
  • Stamp the flower center onto a piece of Whisper White using Early Espresso ink and punch out with the 7/8" scallop circle punch then adhere to flower with dimensionals
  • Cut the leaves from Mossy Meadow card stock using the Flower Fair framelits and adhere to the back of the flower
  • Adhere flower to the card
  • Thread a piece of linen thread through a gold basic metal button and tie a bow then adhere to flower center
I hope you have gained some inspiration! I now send you on to the fabulous Wendy Weixler to see her beautiful creations! Thank you so much for stopping by and have a super day!
