Good morning, Friends and Happy Halloween! Nick is so excited for the evening! He will be going to a friend's house who lives in a big neighborhood to do some trick-or-treating. I wasn't sure if he would still be into it but they are really excited about it - lol! I remember doing that at that age, too. Anyway, then he gets to spend the night. On a school night. Even better!! Yes we rock as parents or maybe we don't but either way he is looking forward to it! Someone really should declare the day after Halloween a day off from school - just my opinion!
Today's card is in honor of Halloween. And I won't be playing with this set for quite a while. I took a piece of Basic Black card stock to the Big Shot and embossed it with the Web embossing folder. Then I punched a circle using the 2 1/2" circle punch. I popped this panel up onto a piece of Summer Starfruit. Then I took a strip of Lucky Limeade and used the Tasteful Trim die to cut the rick rack and adhered this to the back and the whole panel is adhered to a card base of Basic Black. Next I stamped 'Franke' from Googly Ghouls onto a piece of Whisper White with black StazOn and colored him with a Lucky Limeade marker. He's cut out and popped up onto the card. I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes onto a strip of Whisper White with black StazOn and flagged one end. This is adhered to the card. And you can't forget those googly eyes!
Have a safe and fun Halloween! Watch out for those cute little trick-or-treaters! Don't want anyone to get hurt! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Fab Friday 05
Good morning, Friends! I can't believe that October is about to end! Yikes! Where did all the time go? My son has been making sure that we know his birthday is coming up - lol! He loves this time of the year! First comes Halloween, then his birthday, then Thanksgiving and then a few short weeks later it's Christmas!! Woohoo for him!! Yikes for me! I thought I would have so much more done than what I actually do. So I guess I had better find time to get busy!!
Today's card was inspired by the challenge at Fab Friday. Great designers and challenges! This sketch was pretty easy and I need to whip up a card pretty fast so I went with it! And since Halloween is tomorrow, I thought I had better use my cute Halloween set before it went by! I ran a piece of Basic Black through the Big Shot with the Web embossing folder and adhered it to a piece of Lucky Limeade. Then I popped up this panel onto a card base of Basic Black. On top of this I adhered a strip of Pumpkin Pie designer paper from the Polka Dot Parade pack. Both ends are flagged. I stamped the mummy from Googly Ghouls onto a piece of Whisper White using black StazOn and cut him out. He is popped up onto a tag from the Ghoulish Googlies designer kit and that is popped up onto the card. A googlie is added to finish it off. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! I am back with today's Sketch Frenzy Friday's newest sketch! This week's sketch was created by Patrice Herrera. Take a look!
Very Clean and simple - I love it! Here's what I came up with using her sketch!
I pulled out the Googly Ghouls set. I haven't used it in a while - right? Lol!! Anyway, cut a strip of Lucky Limeade using the Tasteful Trim die and adhered it to a panel of Lucky Limeade and then adhered it to a card base of Basic Black. Then I popped up a square of Rich Razzleberry. I stamped the mummy in black StazOn onto Whisper White and cut him out. He is popped up onto the square. Then I stamped the 'boooo' in black StazOn onto Tangerine Tango and punched it out with the oval punch. This is tucked under the mummy. Finally, I added the googlies. Super simple!!
Remember that all of the designer's creations can be seen on the main Sketch Frenzy Friday blog. I hope you are inspired to play along this week! We always love to see what you do with our sketches! Be sure to upload your creation to the blog! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Retro 29
Good morning, Friends! We made it to the middle of the week! For some reason we were all really tired last night! Even Nick put himself to bed and that rarely happens! I was able to get some stamping done and some laundry done. Today it's more laundry and stamping but I also hope to get some of Nick's quilt top done. I am making good progress but just need to keep going. Tomorrow night it will be all about packing as Becky and I leave Friday morning!!
Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Retro Sketches. I thought it was something a little different and held so many possibilities! No surprise that I pulled out the Googly Ghouls! Don't worry. I didn't use him for the next two days - lol!! I cut squares from Rich Razzleberry, Lucky Limeade and Pumpkin Pie and used the 3/4" circle punch to round the corners (one corner on each). The I adhered the top two to a piece of Basic Black. The bottom one got stamped with the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in black StazOn. I also added a little piercing. This is popped up onto the panel. Then I stamped the bat in black StazOn onto a piece of Whisper White and cut him out. He, too, is popped up. Then I popped up this panel onto a card base of Basic Black and added two googlies. Simple!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Celebrating FMS 25
Good morning, Friends! Wow! Another week is upon us! And we are on the downhill side of September! I have noticed that the days are getting a lot shorter, too. Today I have to take my car in to get it serviced. It's under warranty and we want to make sure it is all in good working order for all the trips we will be making in the next few weeks for sports. But I didn't want to sit at the dealership while it was being worked on so Becky is going to come and get me and take me back to her place so we can work on some of our stitching projects while it is being worked on. Now that sounds like fun!!
Today's card was inspired by a sketch at Freshly Made. They are celebrating their one year anniversary and have asked those that play along to pick a past sketch to use. Well that is very hard because they are all so wonderful!! In fact, yesterday's post was one of their past sketches. I just couldn't choose one! This is the card I did with my shoebox club last week. A super simple layout and it uses my favorite Halloween stamp set, Googly Ghouls! I adhered a piece of Basic Black to a card base of Lucky Limeade. Then I took a piece of Pumpkin Pie and pierced several circles on one side and tied a piece of Basic Black taffeta ribbon around the other. This is popped up onto the card. I stamped the mummy in black StazOn onto a piece of Whisper White and cut him out and popped him up on the card. Then I stamped the 'boooo' onto a piece of Whisper White in black StazOn and punched it out with the oval punch. This is adhered to the Pumpkin Pie panel. Finally, I added the gogglies (can't forget those)! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Nacho 11
Good morning, Friends! I hope you are ready for a great weekend!! Looks like it will be a nice one around here! In a little while I will be heading out to an open house of a new little wool store in town! Our wool teacher has decided to open her own studio and sell her own designs (along with others) and she will be selling other items that one needs when stitching! I am so excited!! Then after I do a little shopping, Nick has a soccer game! We weren't going to let him play because of his foot but he has made a remarkable recovery so we decided that he has to talk to his coach and together they can decide. He says he feels perfectly fine. Now I just tease him because he had to put us through all that drama for just a 24 hour injury. Geesh!!
Today's card was inspired by the Nacho Average Challenge. It's a great sketch this week and I knew it was perfect for my Googly Ghouls! So I took a piece of the Pumpkin Pie designer paper from the Polka Dot Parade pack and flagged one end. To the back I added two strips of Lucky Limeade that had gone through the Big Shot with the Tasteful Trim die. This panel is adhered to a Basic Black card base. Then I stamped the mummy in black StazOn onto Whisper White and cut him out. He is popped up onto a tag from the Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kit and that is popped up onto the card. Then I stamped the 'boooo' in black StazOn onto a strip of Pumpkin Pie and flagged both ends. I also popped this up onto the card. Finally, I added my gogglies! Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

Good morning everyone! I hope your week is going great! If you keep up with my posts you will have read about my son and his little accident. I did take him to the doctor and there was nothing broken nor did they find a fracture. So that is good news. However, the doctor did put a splint on and has him walking on crutches for a little while. If it doesn't heal then we go back next week to see what else can be done. So rest and ice is the order for him! We will see how well he rests - lol!! By the way, thank you all for your nice comments about his recovery! I do appreciate them all!!
So how about a Thursday challenge for you all!! Create with Connie and Mary are challenging us with color! Check out these fabulous colors!
And I seem to have Halloween on the brain. Especially with the cutest Halloween set ever! Here is what I came up with!
I used the sketch at Retro Sketches and the Googly Ghouls stamp set to help me create this card. I adhered a piece of Summer Smooches designer paper to a card base of Tangerine Tango. Then I adhered I piece of Whisper White to a longer piece of Lucky Limeade and then to a piece of Rich Razzleberry. I wrapped a piece of Rich Razzleberry stitched grosgrain ribbon around this and then popped up this panel onto the card. I stamped 'Frankie' in black StazOn onto a piece of Whisper White and cut him out. Then I colored him with a Lucky Limeade marker and popped him up onto the white panel. Then I stamped the 'boooo' in black StazOn onto a strip of Tangerine Tango and adhered it to the card. Finally, I added two googlies and called him cute!!
Be sure to stop by the Create with Connie and Mary website and see what the other designers did with these colors. I hope you will join us and create a project using these colors and upload it to the website so that we can all take a look! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

CASology: Week #10
Good morning, Friends!! It is SO nice to wake up to the sound of rain! Love the clouds and the rain!! especially when we haven't seen hardly any of it this summer! And the temperatures are cooler and you can feel fall in the air! I love fall! And I love that I got to sleep in a little. Nick fell at school yesterday afternoon and hurt his ankle really bad. Really bad! We decided to let him sleep in a little this morning and then I will look at it and make a decision as to if I take him back to school or to the doctor. I am praying nothing is broken or fractured or too serious! He can't seem to put any pressure on it and I even had to wheel him out of the school in a wheelchair! It was really swollen so I hope that it went down. I also hope that it doesn't hurt so bad today. I'll wake him up in a few hours and see. This is his real first injury!
Today's card is for a new challenge that I am excited to participate in. It is called CASology. They are looking for clean and simple cards. And you all know how I love the clean and simple! Their cue word this week is 'sky'. Well, I have been making quite a few cards with this super cute Googly Ghouls set and went with it again as you do see bats in the sky!! I also tried hard to stick with a one layer card as that is the challenge for the LNS group. I stamped the 'boooo' onto a Whisper White card base in black StazOn and then I stamped two bats onto the card as well. I stamped a third bat onto a scrap of Whisper White and cut him out. I used my Basic Black marker and a ruler and drew a sort of frame around the inside of my card. Then I popped up the third bat and added gogglies! I like simple but these one layer cards are a little more difficult for me! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

FMS 51 and PPA 142
Good Sunday morning, Friends! I hope you all have had a wonderful weekend! The boys tied their soccer game yesterday. That team was a tough one and one that we had lost to late last spring in a tournament. So we were happy with a tie. I am happy to report that we have played three games and haven't lost any - lol! Tied two and won one! Nick played great! He was goalie and made some amazing saves. He got new goalie gloves and they helped him do his job! Today I get to go to the quilt shop and spend the afternoon stitching and then the Broncos play this afternoon! I am anxious to see how our new quarterback - Peyton Manning - will do!
Today's card is for two challenges! Yep! I got really inspired this time - lol! I used the sketch from Freshly Made and the colors from Pals Paper Arts. I thought the colors would be great for Halloween and the sketch is a fun on to use the Googly Ghouls with. The colors are Lucky Limeade, Elegant Eggplant and Pumpkin Pie. So I used the scallop edge border punch to punch the length of a piece of Elegant Eggplant card stock and adhered a piece of Lucky Limeade dsp to that. Then this panel is adhered to the card base of Lucky Limeade. Then I stamped frankie in black StazOn onto a piece of Whisper White and colored him with a Lucky Limeade marker. I cut him out and popped him up onto a panel of Whisper White which is then popped up onto the card. Then I stamped the 'boooo' in black StazOn onto a strip of Pumpkin Pie and flagged one end. I tucked this behind frankie and added my gogglies! Cute!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning everyone!! It's time for another challenge from the team at Sketch Frenzy Friday! This week's sketch was created by ME!! It's a simple one! Take a look!
And my card!
Yep!! Another Halloween card with the Googly Ghouls set! This is such a cute set!! And I love the googlies that go with it! So for my easy card I ran a strip of Basic Black card stock through the Big Shot with the Tasteful Trim die. This is adhered to a piece of Whisper White panel. Then I stamped the 'boooo' stamp in black stazOn. I adhered this to a piece of Basic Black and then popped this up onto a card base of Lucky Limeade. Then I stamped little frankie in black StazOn onto Whisper White and then colored him with a Lucky Limeade marker. I cut him out and popped him up onto the card. And we can't forget those googlie eyes!! Love those!!
Continue through our design blog tour to get inspired. Click 'here' to see what Jennifer did with the sketch. Be sure to upload your creation to the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog so that we can all see what you created! We always love to see what you come up with! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! It's Thursday and time for another challenge from the ladies at Create with Connie and Mary! This week we are being challenged with a sketch. Take a look!
And my card...
I had to laugh when I uploaded my card to the challenge folder. I was one of the last to upload and when I saw all the other designer's cards, there were a few of us that had the same idea! I adhered a piece of Pumpkin Pie designer paper from the Polka Dot Parade pack to a card base of Lucky Limeade. Above that I stamped the 'boooo' image from Googly Ghouls in black StazOn. Then I took a piece of Basic Black card stock and ran it through the Big Shot with the Web embossing folder and then ran my white StazOn pad over the embossed to highlight the web. This is popped up on the card. I stamped the mummy image in black StazOn onto a piece of white card stock and cut him out. He is popped up onto the card. I added a Lucky Limeade strip. My final addition was to add the googlies to the card. I did leave off the ribbon as I just couldn't make it work for me.
Be sure to visit the Create with Connie and Mary website to see the other designers creations. While you are there, be sure to check out the Create Holiday Edition! I also hope to see your creation linked up there as well! We always love to see what you do with our challenges! You are all so very talented!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Googlie Spider
Good Sunday morning everyone! I hope your weekend has been going great! After we came back from the memorial service yesterday, we each took a little nap. I was still feeling the effects of my migraine so it was nice to lay down for a while. Then Nick got invited to a baseball game (our local minor league team) and spend the night with a friend. So we drove him in and were looking for a place to eat when some friends of ours called us up and asked if we would like tickets to the same baseball game. We said yes and went, too!! I hadn't been to one and it was so much fun!! The seats were great ones, too!!! And the GJ Rockies winning the game added to the fun, too! We got home pretty late and thankfully I was able to sleep in. Ahhh!! Tomorrow morning it's up early to get the kiddo off to school!
Today's card is the fourth of the cards I did with my stamp club this month. I really liked how this turned out even if it is super easy!! I got the idea from the recent special issue of PaperCrafts magazine. I embossed a piece of Basic Black with the Web embossing folder and then adhered it to a piece of Lucky Limeade. This is popped up onto a card base of Basic Black. Then I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Basic Black onto a strip of Pumpkin Pie. A strip of Lucky Limeade was cut with the Tasteful Trim die and adhered to the bottom part of the Pumpkin Pie strip. I put a brad through and attached a piece of white baker's twine behind this before adhering it to the card. Then I stamped the spider from Googly Ghouls in black StazOn onto a piece of Whisper White and cut him out. He is popped up onto the card and over the baker's twine. I added two googlies for his eyes. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Webbed Frankie
Good morning, Friends! I hope your weekend is off to a great start! We are home this weekend - yea! The last three weekends we have been traveling so it's nice to be home! But what will I do?? Lol!! I do need to catch up on the laundry; it sounds like I need to do another cricket hunt (ugh); I need to get some stamping done; I need to go grocery shopping (ugh); and then there are the things I "want" to do... But first I will have my coffee and then think about where to start - lol!!
Today's card was one that I did for a recent swap I participated in. I just love this little Frankie!! I mounted a piece of Lucky Limeade designer paper to a piece of Lucky Limeade card stock and then to a card base of Basic Black. Then I took a piece of Basic Black and round the four corners before taking it to the Big Shot and running it through with the Web embossing folder. Then I used my white StazOn pad and rubbed it over the embossed web to make it stand out. I took the Pumpkin Pie baker's twine from the Ghoulish Googlies designer kit and wrapped it around twice before popping up the panel onto the card. I stamped Frankie from Googly Ghouls in black StazOn onto a piece of Whisper White, colored him with a Lucky Limeade marker and then cut him out. I popped him up onto a tag from the Ghoulish Googlies designer kit added a silver brad and then popped up the tag onto the card. I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in black StazOn onto a strip of Whisper White and flagged one end. The other end is tucked behind Frankie. And the final touch was to add the googlie eyes. So fun!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good Friday morning everyone! It's time for another great challenge from the team at Sketch Frenzy Friday! This week's sketch comes from Robbie Rubala. Take a look!
A totally fun, clean, simple and very versatile sketch!! So this is what I came up with!
I decided to use the Googly Ghouls set since I had it out already. I am loving this little Frankie guy! So cute! I ran a piece of Basic Black through the Big Shot using the Web embossing folder. Then I wrapped a piece of Pumpkin Pie baker's twine around this before adhering it to a card base of Lucky Limeade. I stamped Frankie from Googly Ghouls in black StazOn onto a piece of Whisper White, colored him with a Lucky Limeade marker and cut him out. I popped him up on a tag from the Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kit (the baker's twine is from this kit). The tag is popped up onto the card. I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in black StazOn onto a strip of Whisper White and flagged one end. I tucked the other end under Frankie. Finally, I added two gogglies. Can't have a googly ghoul without googlie eyes - lol!!
Click 'here' to see what Jennifer has done with this sketch. Be sure to take the entire tour to get inspired from all the fabulous designers! I hope you will be able to play along with us this week and create a project using the sketch provided. Be sure to upload it to the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog so that we can all see! Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!!

Good morning everyone! Welcome to the first Create with Connie and Mary Thursday challenge of August! I still find it hard to believe that we are into August! This week we are being challenged with color. Take a look at these fun colors.
Real Red, Sahara Sand and Basic Black. A lot of neutrals with a pop of color. Love it!! Since the Holiday mini has been debuted, I decided I wanted to use the cute Googly Ghouls set. So here is what I came up with.
I just love this little mummy!! And Frankie, from the same set, also stole my heart! I used the sketch at Retro Sketches. his is just a super fun sketch and I knew that everyone would come together! So I adhered a piece of the Basic Black designer paper to a card base of Sahara Sand. One end of a piece of Basic Black card stock is punched with the scallop edge border punch and the other end has the two corners rounded. On top of this is a piece of Whisper White and the panel is popped up onto the card base. Then I stamped the mummy in black StazOn onto a scrap of Whisper White and cut him out. He is popped up onto the card. I added a flagged strip of Sahara Sand and a black button with some white baker's twine. My pop of red is a little heart punched with the owl builder punch. And we can't forget the googlie eye!! I love these!! Under the panel I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in black StazOn. So fun!!
Be sure to visit Create with Connie and Mary to see what the other designers have done with these colors. I hope that you all will play along, too! I always love to see what you do with our challenges! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

One-Eyed Mummy
Good morning everyone! I hope your week is going just great! I didn't seem to get very much done yesterday. I guess I had better get in gear today as we will be leaving for a baseball tournament early on Friday. Should be a fun weekend! Tonight several of us are getting together to celebrate a friend's birthday. I am looking forward to that as we haven't seen her for a while! Becky is making her chicken and noodles! Yum!!!
Today's card was inspired from the latest Stamp It magazine. I am also showing a sneak peek of a stamp set from the new and upcoming Holiday mini catalog. I just loved this little Halloween set and it was the first on my list. My card base is Lucky Limeade with a piece of Basic Black that went through the Big Shot with the Spider Web embossing folder. Then I cut a piece of Lucky Limeade designer paper and rounded opposite corners. I added a piece of Pumpkin Pie patterned paper from the Polka Dot Parade designer paper pack and flagged one end. I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes before popping this panel up onto the card. Then I took some sticky strip and added my Basic Black taffeta ribbon. I stamped the mummy on a scrap of Whisper White in black StazOn and cut him out. He is popped up onto the card. My finishing touches were to add a few rhinestones and a googlie. The gogglies are new in the Holiday mini catalog and are meant to go with this set. Just love those!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!
