Smoky Camera

Good morning, Friends! Well, I am safely home! I got home yesterday early afternoon after a very scary drive home over the mountains. Snowy, snow packed, icy, and the wind blowing the snow all over that made visibility very low. Ugh! So I am thankful to be home! Today will be laundry day and probably some grocery shopping. I also need to get some stamping done. I have a new stamp set to play with that we got at the Catalog Premier Party! Can't wait to do something with it! Lots of fun stuff in the new catty!

Today's card was inspired by one I had pinned a while ago. Super simple and clean!

  • Card base is Very Vanilla
  • Stamp the greeting from Peachy Keen onto a piece of Very Vanilla using Calypso Coral and round the top corners with the corner rounder
  • Use the scallop edge border punch to punch a strip of Coastal Cabana and adhere to back of stamped panel and then adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Stamp camera image in Smoky Slate and cut out
  • Adhere camera to an Essentials Wooden Element and then adhere to card
  • Add a large rhinestone to camera lens
Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

CCMC Card "Create"tions Week 3 Favor

Hello everyone! Well, the Create with Connie and Mary Card "Create"tions edition has come to the end of week 3. This was it! What a fun edition! And SO many amazing ideas! I hope you didn't miss it! You can still sign up and view all the card sets and download each tutorial!!! Just sayin'… ;)

So at the end of each week during the edition, each designer shares a little favor with everyone that features the stamp set that was used during that week. This past week I used the Peachy Keen set! What a fun set with coordinating paper, washi tape, framelits, oh my! So I decided to make a frame. All of the products in the suite seemed to say "frame" - lol!

This is actually pretty easy to put together! I bought a plain frame from a craft store and covered it with strips of Retro washi tape! How fun is that!! And so easy! Then I decorated with stamps from the Peachy Keen set and the coordinating On Film framelits. I also used the circle and starburst framelits, too. The heart comes from the Essentials Wooden Elements and the camera has a large rhinestone for the lens. I thought this frame would be fun for two pictures and that's why I cut two frames. I was thinking along the lines of those small school pictures! Or how about cute pictures of you and your friends?! Whatever your imagination can create!

Don't forget to see what the other designers made! You can find their creations at Create with Connie and Mary! Thanks so much for stopping by and for your wonderful comments on my card sets! I really appreciate it! I hope you have gotten lots of great ideas these last three weeks! Have a super day!

Peachy Keen Filmed

Good morning, Friends! Ahhh! It's Friday! We will be leaving for Denver later today. Nick has two soccer games this weekend. And that's all the traveling to the East Slope we will have to do this season! Woohoo! That will help save some money - lol! It's nice when we can do a double header like this and don't have to come back. And I think the roads should be ok for us too! Nick is enjoying his last day of Spring Break! I am really excited about school starting up again on Monday! Maybe I'll get something done - lol!

Today's card was the first one I made for the Create with Connie and Mary sketch for this week. Not my favorite and that's why the other one was posted. But I don't hate it either. Anyway, it is what it is - lol!

  • Card base is Whisper White
  • Adhere a panel of Coastal Cabana to card
  • Adhere three strips of Fresh Prints designer paper to card
  • Cut the frame from Crumb Cake card stock using the On Film framelits dies and adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Stamp sentiment from Peachy Keen in Real Red onto a piece of Whisper White and adhere to a piece of Real Red card stock then adhere to card
  • Punch three flowers from Coastal Cabana using the itty bitty shapes punch pack and adhere to card
  • Add rhinestones to flower centers
Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Gold Friend

Good morning, Friends! I hope you all are having a fabulous week! It does seem to be going very fast! It might be a little shocking to Nick to have to go back to school on Monday! He's been having so much fun on his break! I think I am ready for him to go back so I can get some things done around here! Yikes! I do need to do some stamping!! Looks like it might rain today so that might help.

Today's card uses the new gold products. I had fun creating this one!

  • Card base is Very Vanilla
  • I adhered three strips of the Watercolor Wonder designer washi tape to a strip of Very Vanilla and angled the end then adhered the panel to the card base
  • Run a piece of gold foil paper through the Big Shot using the Decorative Dots embossing folder then round the corners with the corner rounder
  • Adhere panel to card with dimensionals
  • Stamp greeting from Peachy Keen in black StazOn onto a strip of Very Vanilla and flag the end
  • Tie a piece of gold baker's twine around the stamped panel and then adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Add three gold sequins cut from the gold sequin trim

CCMC Card "Create"tions Design Team Blog Hop: Peachy Keen

Good morning, Friends! Welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Card "Create"tions Design Team blog hop! I hope that you have been enjoying the preview of what's to come! Connie and Mary have been sharing super cute card sets! Now the design team is doing a blog hop that features one stamp set they are using for this special edition. So you probably came from Debbie Henderson's blog. I always enjoy her designs!

My card today features the Peachy Keen stamp set. I will be using this set during week three of this special edition. I love this stamp set and coordinating framelits! They all just work perfectly together! And I love how the Retro Fresh designer paper adds the fun to these products!

  • Card base is Tangerine Tango cut at 11" x 4 1/4" and folded in half to create the card base
  • Cut a piece of Retro Fresh designer paper at 4" x 3 1/4" and flag the bottom then adhere to card base
  • Use the On Film framelits to cut the filmstrip from Baked Brown Sugar and adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Stamp the sentiment from Peachy Keen onto a strip of Very Vanilla that measures 3/4" x 3" using Coastal Cabana ink and flag the end
  • Take the camera framelit and lightly "moosh" it into the Baked Brown Sugar ink pad then use it to cut the camera shape from So Saffron card stock
  • Adhere the camera shape to the card and add a Tangerine Tango candy dot to the camera lens
A super simple card! I hope that you are as excited as I am for the Card "Create"tions to begin! It won't be long now! So be sure that you get signed up! Oh, and be sure to click the link below to see the gorgeous project that Connie has waiting to share with you! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Mojo 337

Good morning, Friends! I hope you are all having a fabulous start to the weekend! We have a meeting with the soccer coach who will be taking a group of boys and some of their parents (me included) to Brazil this summer. We have to get some papers signed and notarized for visas. As I look outside right now it is very cloudy and gloomy! I hope it does rain! Spring rain! The best!! So March Madness?? Wow!! Some very fun and exciting games yesterday! I always feel sorry for those seniors that lose. I am sad for them but I am excited for the winners, too. Sport… I am looking forward to more games!!

Today's card was inspired by Mojo Monday's sketch challenge. This was actually pretty quick and easy! Love these On Film framelits!

  • Card base is So Saffron
  • Run a strip of Coastal Cabana through the Big Shot using the Arrows embossing folder then adhere to card base
  • Adhere a piece of Retro Fresh designer paper to the card
  • Stamp the sentiment from Peachy Keen in Coastal Cabana onto a piece of Very Vanilla then adhere to card
  • Cut a piece of Baked Brown Sugar with the filmstrip die from the On Film framelits and adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Cut the camera image with the On Film framelits from Tangerine Tango and adhere to card with a dimensional
  • Add a rhinestone to the camera lens
