Since this is the last week, the challenge is for the designers only. So the designers are sharing their last creation with you all using this beautiful color challenge! Check it out!

Coastal Cabana, Pool Party, and Smoky Slate. So very pretty! Here is what I created!

I used a couple of carry-over stamp sets to create my card: Evergreen and Greetings of the Season. Here are the card details:

  • Card base is Smoky Slate
  • Layer of Coastal Cabana that was embossed with the Northern Flurry embossing folder
  • A piece of Smoky Slate 3/4" chevron ribbon is tied around the layer
  • Cut a circle of Whisper White using the 3 1/2" circle die
  • Stamp the tree from Evergreen in Pool Party three times - once full strength and twice having stamped off
  • Stamp greeting from Greetings of the Season in Smoky Slate
  • Adhere circle to Coastal Cabana layer using dimensionals and trim off end
  • Adhere layer to card with dimensionals
  • Add two rhinestones
I hope you like my creation! It's been a blast being a part of the Winter Collection! Find the other designers' creations by visiting the Create with Connie and Mary website! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

And my card...

The colors are fun Christmas colors that coordinate perfectly with the Season of Style designer paper. I did something a little different for my card. It is super simple with not a lot of stamping!! Here are the details:

  • Card base is Whisper White cut at 4 1/4" x 11" and folded in half
  • Strip of Season of Style designer paper cut at 1 3/4" x 4 1/4" and then scalloped at the bottom using the scallop edge border punch then adhere to card
  • Strip of silver glimmer paper cut at 3" x 1/2" and adhere to card
  • Stamp greeting from Greetings of the Season in Cherry Cobbler
  • Use the Perfect Pennants die to cut the tree shape from Old Olive paper and then run through the Big Shot again with the Square Lattice embossing folder for more texture
  • Sponge edges of tree with Old Olive ink
  • Cut the trunk of the tree from Crumb Cake and sponge edges with Crumb Cake ink then adhere to back of tree and pop up onto card
  • Add a large rhinestone jewel to top of tree
Make sure to stop by the Create with Connie and Mary site to get more inspiration! And don't forget to sign up for the Winter Collection! Enjoy your day!!

Noel Squares

Good morning everyone! I hope your weekend is shaping up to be a great one! Looks like another warm sunny day here. Normally that would make me happy (and it probably does for a lot of people around here) but my husband just showed me a picture of what one of our lakes looks like right now. NOT good!! You can walk right out into the middle of it! Yikes!! If we don't get a real winter around these parts we are going to be in a serious drought condition!! I am even afraid that our ski resorts are not going to have any snow for skiing. It's starting to get scary!! I really hope it snows a lot!!!

Lately I have been in a sort of creative slump. I have been doing so much sewing because I just haven't felt very creative. But I really needed to get some stamping done so I turned to my Pinterest boards and found a few to "alter". This is one of them. This didn't turn out quite like I had planned but it will work. I punched a strip of Cherry Cobbler with the dotted ribbon scallop punch and adhered it to the back of a piece of Crumb Cake. This is then adhered to a card base of Crumb Cake. Then I punched five Cherry Cobbler squares using the 1 3/8" square punch. To each of these I adhered squares of patterned paper from the Festival of Prints pack that were punched with the 1 1/4" square punch. These squares are popped up onto the card. Then I stamped the sentiment from Greetings of the Season in Cherry Cobbler. I added a star that was punched from champagne glimmer paper using the Merry Minis punch pack and put a pearl on top. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! Just a few more days of November left! Wow!!! Create with Connie and Mary have another fabulous challenge for us this week! This week we are being challenged with color. Take a look at these fantastic colors!

Wisteria Wonder, Baja Breeze and Silver Glimmer. BEAUTIFUL!!! Love these colors together! And I wanted to keep with the season so I made a Christmas card.

I just love Wisteria Wonder and will be very sad when it has to say good-by at the end of the Stampin' Up! year. It is such a beautiful soft purple! So I was glad to be able to use it for a Christmas card. I used the sketch from the Fab Friday challenge blog. First, I adhered a piece of silver glimmer paper to a card base of Wisteria Wonder. Then I adhered a strip of designer paper from the Twitterpated pack to the bottom half of a piece of Whisper White. I stamped the greeting from Greetings of the Season in Wisteria Wonder. Then I pierced two circles using the Essentials Paper Piercing pack. I used the Merry Minis punch pack to punch two ornaments from silver glimmer paper. These are popped up inside each circle. I used a ruler and the Wisteria Wonder marker to draw lines to make them look like ornaments. Then I tied a piece of Wisteria Wonder ruffled ribbon around this panel and popped it up onto the card.

Be sure to visit the Create with Connie and Mary website to see what the other designers did with these fabulous colors! I hope that you will be inspired and find some time to play along with us this week! We always love to see what you come up with! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Seasoned Tree

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is off to a great start! It was kind of nice last night to just be able to come home and not have to hurry off to get somewhere. I did have a Christmas frame class but was very laid back. And the frame is just beautiful! I put it up next to our tree and it looks great! Thanks, Becky!! Tonight should be more of the same! Now to figure out what I should make for dinner...

Today's card was inspired by one I had saved on Pinterest. I had it saved for quite a while and needed some inspiration so I turned there. Loved how easily this came together! The scalloped edged was made by running a piece of the Festival of Prints designer paper through the Big Shot with the Tasteful Trim die. This is is adhered to the back of a piece of Cherry Cobbler that had the bottom two corners rounded with the 1" circle punch. Then I wrapped a piece of Crumb Cake seam binding ribbon around this and then popped the panel up onto a card base of Crumb Cake. I stamped the greeting from Greetings of the Season in Cherry Cobbler onto a strip of Very Vanilla. This is adhered to the Cherry Cobbler panel. I stamped the tree from Scentsational Season in Gumball Green onto Very Vanilla and cut it out using the Holiday Collection framelits dies. This is popped up onto the card. Finally, I added a star that was punched with the merry minis punch pack from champagne glimmer paper. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

CAS(E) This! #3

Good Sunday morning, Friends! We made it back home safe and sound yesterday! We made some really good time and were able to pick up some dinner on the way home. After we ate we unloaded the car and then put up the tree and Christmas decorations. And then we could sit back and watch a little college basketball the rest of the evening. Very nice! Before we left Kansas, we helped my mom put out her tree and like she said, it just doesn't feel like Christmas yet. And after putting out my decorations, I would have to agree! I feel like I have put up my tree in the middle of June or something - lol! Just doesn't seem "right". Hopefully, the weather will start to change and that will help me. Who knows. Either way I have to get going on my shopping and my creating!! But first things first - today it's about the Broncos!! Go Broncos!!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at CAS(E) This. It's an older one. Love their sketches for a clean and simple card!! The color scheme on this one is a little different for me. I punched a 2 1/2" circle from a piece of designer paper from the Festival of Prints pack. Then I adhered a strip of Cherry Cobbler to one side and then to a card base of Very Vanilla. I stamped the greeting from Greeting of the Seasons in Cherry Cobbler. Then I cut a snowflake from champagne glimmer paper using the Snow Flurry die and popped it up onto the card. I accented it with three pearls. Easy!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

SFF 112312

Good morning everyone! Are you glad it's Friday? And Black Friday, too!! I don't do Black Friday anymore. Too much stress for me! If I had it my way, I would have my Christmas shopping done already - lol! But it never works out that way. I am glad it's Friday because Sketch Frenzy Friday has a new sketch for you! This week's sketch was created by Jennifer Weide! Take a look!

A super simple and clean sketch! Just what we all need around the holidays! And here is what I created!

Doesn't get much easier than this! I stamped the greeting from Greetings of the Season in Cherry Cobbler onto a Very Vanilla card base. Then I adhered a strip of designer paper from the Festival of Prints pack with the end flagged. I stamped the ornament from Delightful Decorations in Cherry Cobbler and punched it out with the ornament punch. On the back, I taped a bit of linen thread to create a hanger. This ornament is then popped up onto the card. Then I stamped the center piece in Old Olive and punched it out with the 3/4" circle punch. I popped this up onto the card and added a rhinestone. You might notice, too, that I did flip the sketch.

Be sure to visit the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog to see what the other designers created using this fabulous sketch! And I hope that you will find time to create along with us! We love it when you do! Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

Christmas Squares

Good morning, Friends! Another week is here! I just can't believe how quickly the time goes by! I was able to get two more gifts done for my nieces yesterday. I only have one more to go!! But then I need to figure out what else I need to get them or make for them. And my husband isn't much help there - lol! And what am I going to do for the rest of the family? So many decisions and so little time! And tonight Nick has a basketball game! I just love to watch him and his team! Right now they have won 4 and only lost 1! Keep up the great work, Fruita!!

Today's card was inspired by one that I did at Becky's card class last month. A super simple one and I just loved the squares from the designer paper! On a piece of Very Vanilla, I adhered squares of designer paper from the Festival of Prints pack and one Very Vanilla square that is popped up onto the panel. I punched the tree from champagne glimmer paper with the Merry Minis punch pack. I stamped the greeting from Greetings of the Season in Cherry Cobbler and then tied some Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon around this panel. The panel is popped up onto a card base of Very Vanilla. Easy!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! I hope you are all ready to play along with our newest sketch challenge from the team at Sketch Frenzy Friday! This week's sketch was created by Tammy Fite. Take a look!

Such an interesting sketch that I was quite stumped at first. I thought that this would be a great sketch to show off some of the beautiful designer paper! So I started looking. And came up with this!

Not much to this particular piece of designer paper but I liked the design and thought it was quite festive - lol! I kept it very simple!! I used a piece of designer paper from the Festival of Prints and cut strips and flagged the ends. Love the chevron look!! I adhered these down to a piece of Very Vanilla and then adhered a strip of Cherry Cobbler to the bottom. This panel is popped up onto a card base of Very Vanilla. I stamped the sentiment from Greetings of the Season in Cherry Cobbler at the bottom of the card. And for a little embellishment, I punched an ornament from Cherry Cobbler using the Merry Minis punch pack. This is popped up onto the card with a pearl added.

Remember that you can see all the designer's creations on the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog! I hope that you are inspired to play along with us this week! We always love to see what you do! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

SFF 101912

Good Friday morning! I get to sleep in this morning as yesterday was the last day of the first quarter of school. And today means that the teacher is getting all the grades together. Oh joy! Next week will be parent/teacher conferences. But I don't want to think about school. I want to show you the newest sketch from the Sketch Frenzy Friday team! This week's sketch was created by Sharon Wheet. Take a look!

What a beautiful clean and simple sketch! I needed that! Here's what I came up with!

I just got the set Greetings of the Season. Such a nice selection of greetings and I thought this sketch would be perfect for one of them. Since I wanted to use snowflakes, I picked the word stamp "Peace on Earth". I took a piece of Whisper White to the Big Shot and used the Northern Flurry embossing folder to emboss it. This is popped up onto a card base of Whisper White. Then I took another piece of Whisper White and used the Labels framelits dies to cut the label shape. I stamped the greeting in Elegant Eggplant and popped this up onto the card. Finally I added two snowflakes that were cut from silver glimmer paper using the Snow Flurry die. A super simple but elegant card.

Be sure to visit the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog to see all the designer's cards! I hope that you are inspired to play along with us this week! We just love to see what you do and I even get inspired by you! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!
