Good Friday morning everyone! Time for another great challenge at Sketch Frenzy Friday! This week's sketch is provided by Tina Munzke. Take a look at this fun sketch!

Lots of fun elements on this one! I had a lot of ideas for this but this is what I finally came up with!

I kept my card very simple, just like the sketch. I stamped the leaves from Summer Solstice on a strip of Whisper White in Lucky Limeade. Then I stamped the leaves again on scrap paper and cut them out. I cut a strip of Lucky Limeade card stock with the Tasteful Trim die and adhered it to the stamped strip. Then I tied a piece of Lucky Limeade ruffled ribbon around this and glued it to a card base of Whisper White. The cut out leaves are popped up over the stamped leaves. Then I stamped the sentiment from Sincere Salutations in Lucky Limeade in the bottom left hand corner of the card.

I hope you will find some time to play along with us this week! Be sure to upload your creation to the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog so that we can take a look, too! SSC 248

Good morning, Friends! Boy did we have a windy day around here yesterday! No wonder Nick didn't feel good. His allergies were at an all time high! Now today I am feeling my sinuses acting up, too. Ugh! The dust was blowing so thick all day long! I really hate the wind like that! But now it should be calm and nice. If we could get some rain that would help settle it all...

Today's card was inspired by the sketch challenge at Stamping 411. I like these kinds of sketches where you can show off some of our beautiful designer papers! But which one to show off - lol! I decided on the Mocha Morning specialty papers. I haven't used them in a while and this one is flocked. It is so pretty that I don't want to cover it up so this design is perfect! My card base is Crumb Cake. Then I cut another piece of Crumb Cake down a bit and added a layer of Basic Black and then the beautiful designer paper from Mocha Morning. I tied a piece of Basic Black satin ribbon around this panel. Then I stamped the sentiment from Sincere Salutations and added three rhinestones before popping the panel up onto the card base. A very simple card! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Mocha Thanks

Good morning, Friends! I hope you all had a most wonderful Christmas! I know I sure did! And, of course, I ate way too much! Yum!! I think my brother leaves today so that will be sad. I am not sure what our plans are for the day. I am thinking that I will need to do some laundry.

Today's card is one that I did with my stamp club this month. This is a super easy card. I wanted to keep it really simple so that the beautiful Morning Mocha paper would take center stage! I started with a card base of Soft Suede card stock. Then I added a piece of Very Vanilla card stock. Then I took a piece of Crumb Cake and scalloped one end of it, added a piece of Soft Suede and then a piece of the Morning Mocha designer paper. Then I tied a piece of the Soft Suede taffeta ribbon around this and popped it up on the card. Then I took a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and ran it through the Big Shot using the Designer Frames embossing folder. I cut around the oval and lightly sponged the edges with Crumb Cake ink. I stamped the greeting from Sincere Salutations in Soft Suede onto a scrap piece of Crumb Cake and punched it out with the extra large oval punch. I lightly sponged the edges with Crumb Cake in and glued it inside the oval. The oval is popped up onto the card. The final touch was to add five small pearls. There you have it! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

SFF 031811

Good Friday morning! Sketch Frenzy Friday is ready to challenge you with another sketch. Are you ready? This week's sketch is brought to us by - ME!! I came up with this week's sketch! So I do hope you will find time to play with us this week.

For my card I started with a card base of Pear Pizzazz. I then decided that I wanted to use the leafy stamp and the flower from Growing Green and watercolor them. So I used watercolor paper, Pear Pizzazz and Peach Parfait markers and my aqua painter to watercolor them (I stamped them in Black StazOn). The flower was stamped on a separate piece so I could cut it out. I used my photo corners punch and punched out a corner from Concord Crush and glued it to the card. The leafy stamped panel is popped up as is the cut out flower. Then I stamped the leafy stamp in Pear Pizzazz on the side of the card and the greeting from Sincere Salutations in Concord Crush right over the top. I then added a line of basic pearls underneath. And there you have it! A nice spring card!

So now head over to Jennifer's blog to see what she did with the sketch. Be sure to click your way through the tour to get inspired and then create your project using this week's sketch. Upload it to the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog so we can all see! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!
