Easter Florets

Good morning, Friends! Oh thank goodness it's Friday! It was a great time of sewing yesterday! I got a lot done on my project! So I signed up for two more days of sewing next week and I could potentially have it all done by then! But we will see… Lol! Tonight I am looking forward to a nice bbq with friends! 

Today's card was another one that I did with my stamp club this month. I wanted to show off some of the beautiful vellum that we sell as well as some of the other gold products. 

• Card base is Very Vanilla
• Adhere a piece of the gold designer vellum to another piece of Very Vanilla
• Stamp the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in black StazOn just above the vellum piece
• Tie a piece of gold twine around the panel (I wrapped mine around the panel twice)
• Adhere panel to card base with dimensionals
• Stamp the stem from Fabulous Florets in Pear Pizzazz onto a piece of Very Vanilla and adhere to card with dimensionals
• Stamp the flower images onto a piece of Very Vanilla with Blushing Bride and cut out then adhere to card with dimensionals
• Add gold sequins to the card

The colors of my card were inspired by a bouquet of daisies that my husband got me for Valentine's Day! So bright and vibrant they were! I just had to use them for a card! Here are the details:

• Card base is Wisteria Wonder
• Stamp the outline flower image from Fabulous Florets in Wisteria Wonder onto the card base
• On a piece of Whisper White stamp the solid flower image twice in Wisteria Wonder and the leaves in Old Olive then stamp the sentiment in black StazOn
• Adhere the panel to the card with dimensionals
• Stamp the solid flower image again onto a scrap piece of Whisper White with Melon Mambo and the leaves twice in Old Olive and cut them out
• Adhere leaves to the back of the cut out flower and adhere to card with dimensionals
• Punch a banner from Melon Mambo with the bitty banner punch and adhere to card
• Add two rhinestones

Good morning, Friends! It's finally Friday and time for the Sketch Frenzy Friday challenge! This week's sketch was created by Sharon Wheet. Check it out!

So I flipped the layout and here's what I created!

A simple sketch and a lot of fun elements! I adhered a strip of Print Poetry designer paper with the end flagged onto a card base of Very Vanilla (I was able to use a scrap). I made my tag by cutting a piece of Crumb Cake and rounding the top with the 1 3/4" circle punch. I flagged the bottom and then stamped the stem from Fabulous Florets in Gumball Green. The tag is popped up onto the card. I stamped the flower image in Primrose Petals onto Very Vanilla and cut it out. This is popped up onto the tag. Then I stamped the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Gumball Green onto a strip of Very Vanilla. I flagged one end and adhered it to the tag. Finally I threaded some linen thread through a vintage faceted button and adhered it to the top of the tag.

Good morning everyone! And Happy August!! Wow! This summer is really flying by! I have set a goal to finish my first "Fun and Done" quilt by the end of this month. And it is very do-able! I just need to keep on pace. I have all the squares done. They just need to be put together in rows and then attached to the quilt. I have half of them done already. But tomorrow we leave for Park City because Nick's soccer team is playing in a big tournament there. It will be fun to get out of town again! Being the first day of August means that everyone can order from the new Holiday mini catalog!! Yea!!! And the new version of MDS is available! lots of great stuff is going on!!


Today's card was inspired by the sketch at iSpy. A super simple one!! I do love what the designers came up with, too! I kept mine very simple and clean. I apologize for the picture not coming out great. I adhered a strip of Midnight Muse to a card base of Whisper White. Then I stamped the stem from Fabulous Florets in Gumball Green onto a panel of Whisper White and tied a piece of Gumball Green around it. This is popped up onto the card so that just a hint of the Midnight muse is showing. On the other side of the panel I stamped the quote in Midnight Muse. Then I stamped the flower onto a scrap of Whisper White in Midnight Muse and cut it out. This is popped up onto the card. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning everyone! It's time for another fun challenge at Create with Connie and Mary! Did you have fun with last week's "Celebration" challenge? I saw a lot of fantastic cards! Thanks so much for celebrating with us! This week we are back to our regularly scheduled challenges and we have a sketch to work with. Take a look!

I think this sketch is so interesting! You could do so many fun things with it! And I was inspired by the Rich Razzleberry color and wanted to use it in my card. Here is what I came up with.

Instead of having my flower stem hang off the main panel, I chose to stamp it on the Pear Pizzazz. So that's how I started my card. I stamped the stem from Fabulous Florets in Pear Pizzazz onto Pear Pizzazz and then ran that through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice embossing folder. This is glued to the Whisper White card base. Then I took a piece of Whisper White and stamped the stem again in Pear Pizzazz and the greeting from Friendly Phrases in Rich Razzleberry. Before putting the three silver brads in, I adhered this to a strip of Rich Razzleberry and flagged the ends. Then the panel is popped up onto the card making sure to line up the stem. I stamped the flower in Rich Razzleberry onto a scrap piece of Whisper White and cut it out. This is popped up onto the card.

Good Friday morning, Friends! I am excited to show you the latest challenge at Sketch Frenzy Friday! This week's sketch was created by Jennifer Weide. Take a look!

Very clean and simple and holds so many possibilities! Here is what I came up with.

I started with a card base of Pear Pizzazz. Then I took a piece of Blushing Bride and ran it through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice embossing folder. I sponged the edges with Blushing Bride and added two brads to opposite corners. Then I adhered it to the card. Then I took a piece of Whisper White and stamped the leaf image from Fabulous Florets in Pear Pizzazz. I adhered this to a piece of Early Espresso and popped up the panel on the card. I stamped the flower on a scrap of Whisper White in Blushing Bride. I cut it out and popped it up onto the card. The last thing I did was to stamp the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Early Espresso on a strip of Whisper White and flag one end. This is adhered to the main panel.

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is off to a great start! It's always nice to get Monday over with! Nothing exciting happening this week around here. I found some time to get some stamping done yesterday. Still need to catch up on a few things but then I think I am going to dive into some fabric that came in and start on my first quilt! I am so excited to do one! I will keep you updated on my progress. I am doing a "Fun and Done" quilt. I did square up my fabric yesterday so I will start cutting and getting it ready for sewing! Yea!!


Today's card was inspired by the Mojo Monday sketch! What a fantastic sketch they had this week! I love all the squares! I punched 12 squares from Whisper White with the 1 1/4" square punch and then ran them through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. Then I rounded opposite corners on each before I adhered them to a piece of Whisper White. I wrapped a piece of Wisteria Wonder ruffled ribbon around this and popped the panel up onto a Whisper White card base. Then I punched a piece of Whisper White with the 2 1/2" circle punch and stamped the stem from Fabulous Florets in Lucky Limeade. This circle is adhered to a piece of Wisteria Wonder that was cut with the Perfect Pennants die and then this is popped up onto the card. I stamped the flower in Wisteria Wonder onto a scrap of Whisper White and cut it out. This is popped up onto the stem. Then I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes onto a strip of Whisper White, flagged one end and tucked the other behind the flower. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Fabulous Florets Center Step Card

Good Sunday morning everyone! I hope you are all having a super weekend! Mine has been wonderful! My guys will come home today from their camping/fishing trip. I am sure that they will want to take a nap and hopefully they will want to shower and clean up a bit, too! The demonstrator meeting went very well yesterday! Thanks to Sherry, Emily, Cheryl and Judy for putting it all together! We had awesome make-n-takes!! I just might have to show them this week! 

Today's card was one that I did for the shoebox club that I am in. We meet on a monthly basis and this is the card that I prepared for them. I really like the way this one turned out! And it was fun to do something a little different than the traditional card. Other than the cuts and folds of the card, it really went together very easily! Good Sunday morning, Friends! I got to sleep a little later this morning and it was nice! I am still in Denver but we will be heading home today. Nick got up earlier and headed down to breakfast so that he could get a little more swim time in. I thought I would post this real quick like and then get ready so that I can get me some breakfast, too. Thankfully, Pat will take him swimming! I just cannot stand to be in that pool room! It is SO crazy hot and humid in there!!

CASEing With Florets

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is going great so far! The weekend will be here before we know it! I am looking forward to getting some stamping done. I think that Nick will be spending the day at a friend's house. So I will be by myself! I should be able to get a lot done, right? And tomorrow afternoon he has a birthday party to go to. I am out of cards to show so I do need to get to work! And I have some new toys coming this week so that should be easy!

Good Friday morning! I still can't believe that this is the last weekend of June! Boy did it fly by! Today we have another sketch for you all from the Sketch Frenzy Friday team! Take a look:

This week's sketch comes from Kim Innis. I have to admit that this sketch really stumped me! I guess that means that I was really challenged!! I don't know if I am completely happy with my card but here is what I finally came up with:

I started with a card base of Pretty in Pink. Then I took a piece of Pretty in Pink and ran it through the Big Shot using the lattice die. I put two pieces of Melon Mambo squares behind the lattice and glued it all down. I punched a scallop circle in Whisper White and popped it up on the card. Then I stamped the flower image from Fabulous Florets in Melon Mambo onto Pretty in Pink cardstock and cut it out. I stamped the leaves from the same set in Old Olive onto Certainly Celery cardstock and cut them out, too. The flower is popped up as well. The 'thanks' (from Thank You Kindly) is stamped in Melon Mambo. My final touch was to add a pearl to the flower center.

Good morning everyone! Are you ready for another fabulous Thursday challenge from Create with Connie and Mary? This week they are challenging you with color! Check out these fantastic colors:

The challenge colors are Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise, and Old Olive. Don't they look yummy together? Here is what I came up with:

I really like how my card came out! I actually copied it from the brand new Idea Book & Catalog! I did have to change the stamps and I did use different colors but the rest is pretty much the same! I started with a card base of textured Tempting Turquoise. Then I took my sponge dauber and my Very Vanilla craft pad and sponged the middle area. Isn't that cool? To that I added a strip of Newsprint designer paper which I punched one side with the scallop trim punch. I cut a strip of Tangerine Tango and notched one end and glued that to the dsp. For my focal point I cut a piece of Old Olive and stamped the stem from Fabulous Florets in Old Olive (I stamped off once to make it a little lighter). I stamped the flower in Tangerine Tango on Very Vanilla and cut it out. This is popped up on the stem. Then I stamped the greeting from Happy Greetings in Basic Black. For the final touches, I rounded the top right corner and popped up the panel onto the card. There you have it!

Good morning, Friends! Wow! I can't believe that we are in the middles of June already! Where is all the time going? I have a lot that I really need to do today and then Nick and I leave tomorrow for Boulder for another soccer tournament. Crazy! Today's card is another one that I did with my stamp club this month. This card was a big hit! And it is so simple! Fabulous New Products

Good Monday morning, Friends! I really wanted to sleep a lot longer but I need to get myself moving so I can get Nick to soccer practice on time. He won't be too happy to get up, either. But it is a lot cooler in the morning to have practice. And this is their last week of practice before the tournament this weekend. Then he can take a little vacation from all the sports for a while. He will still do a little 3 v 3 soccer league but that is a lot less pressure and no practices. I like it because it gives him something to do!

Today's card is one that I made last week. I got inspiration from a new magazine that I bought. I am not completely happy with my focal point but I didn't know what else to do. I used two new colors and new ribbon. I really like this new ribbon and can't wait to get more colors! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is off to a great start! I got to sleep in a little and that is always a treat! In a little while I will have to take Nick to soccer practice. It is nice that they have it in the morning when it is cooler! They have a tournament next weekend and then they can take a little break from it. He will still play a little bit here and there but it won't be quite as intense. And tonight he has a baseball game. Me? I hope to stamp some. I did get a few cards done yesterday and that was nice! I even got to play a little with some of the new stuff!

Good morning everyone! I think this is my tenth time of trying to post this - UGH! I HATE that I had to update my Internet Explorer!! Cobblers and Daffodils

Good morning everyone! I thought I would pop in and share a card I made last week. My family is still here so I won't be posting much this week. But be sure to come back on Thursday for the Create with Connie and Mary challenge and then again on Friday for the Sketch Frenzy Friday challenge! We are having so much fun around here! We took in two exciting JUCO games yesterday and I hope that we get more in today. Nick has his soccer tryouts this week, too. And his baseball team is practicing as they have a tournament this weekend!

For my card today, I took a layout from my friend, Becky. It is one that we did in her card class last month. She used some new baker's twine and I wanted to do the same. But we only have a few colors of it so I knew that I wanted to go with Cherry Cobbler. So what goes with Cherry Cobbler to make it not look to Christmas-y. Well, the Color Coach said Daffodil Delight! I also used a bit of black to make it stand out. I have to say that I really like these colors together! Good morning! Thursday already!! I sure hope that you will find some time to play along this week with the challenge at Create with Connie and Mary! This week they are challenging us with colors. Take a look:

Aren't these colors fun? I think so!! This challenge is with the colors Peach Parfait, Baja Breeze, and Riding Hood Red. Riding Hood Red is a color that I don't use as much but it sure is a great color! Might have to find more to do with this color! So here is what I came up with:

So Fabulous Florets is such a super great stamp set! I love it! So I pulled it out and went from there. My card base is Baja Breeze and I cut another piece of Baja Breeze, tied a piece of Whisper White taffeta ribbon around that. Then I stamped a flower in Baja Breeze and inked up part of the 'hello' greeting from Happy Greetings in Riding Hood Red and stamped that over the flower. I took a piece of Whisper White cardstock and stamped my flowers in Peach Parfait, Riding Hood Red and Baja Breeze in a random pattern and even let them overlap. Then I cut this piece into panels and mounted them onto a piece of Riding Hood Red. This panel is popped up. The last thing I did was to punch a flower from Peach Parfait using the itty bitty shapes punch and add a rhinestone! I really like how this card turned out! And it was so easy to do!

Fabulous Florets

Good morning, Friends! I can't believe that we are already at the middle of the week! I am looking forward to the weekend. I could have slept another three hours this morning! And this weekend my parents and brother will be here and I will get to sleep in! Only three more days of school left, too! Nick played in a baseball game last night and they won! This is a team that asked Nick to fill in for a few players that got injured. After that game the coaches wanted to play another game as a make-up game and that one ended up getting rained out! I am not sure what they will do with that. Anyway, it was a fun evening!

Today's card is one that I did for a recent swap I was in. I used different parts of different layouts to come up with this one. And I used my Color Coach for the colors. These are not colors I would normally put together but I rather like them on this card! Anyway, it was fun and doesn't look too bad either! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

I am just loving the Fabulous Florets set! And I am finding more to do with this designer paper than I ever thought I would! For today's card I started with a card base of Whisper White and then glued down a piece of Pacific Point. Then I cut four panels of the new designer paper Beyond the Garden and glued those down. I cut a strip of Daffodil Delight and glued that at the bottom of the Pacific Point. I used the Lots of Tags sizzlet and die cut a tag to stamp my greeting in Pacific Point. The greeting comes from A Word for You. this is popped up and a flower punched with the itty bitty shapes punch pack in Daffodil Delight is glue dotted down with a pearl in the center. Then I stamped the stem and flowers on Whisper White in Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango and cut them all out. These are popped up as well. And there you have it!
