Shaker Balloon

Good morning everyone! Well my busy week has started! Yesterday was a fun day filled with stitching but I did have to leave early to complete some unfinished projects. Thankfully I got most of them done before my son and husband got home! Tonight is Stamp Club! I am looking forward to seeing the gals again!!

Today's card was one that I had done a while ago. I hadn't photographed it and it must have been in a place where it got a little warped and neglected :(. I wanted to show it so I am posting it anyway.

  • Card base is Whisper White
  • Cover the card front with a piece of Birthday Bash designer paper
  • Cut the balloon shape out of a piece of Whisper White using the Balloons framelits
  • Stamp the "birthday" and the balloon string from Celebrate Today onto the card using Night of Navy ink
  • Cut a circle from a piece of Birthday Bash designer paper and stamp the "happy" onto it using Night of Navy ink
  • Adhere a piece of the window sheet to the back of the balloon cut out
  • Adhere dimensionals all the way around the balloon cut out (on the back)
  • Add your shaker materials to the window area (I put in gold sequins and punched out stars from gold glitter paper)
  • Adhere the stamped designer paper to the dimensionals then adhere the panel to the card with dimensionals
  • Punch a star from gold glitter paper using the itty bitty accents punch pack and adhere to card
  • Tie a bow using the Calypso Coral ribbon from the Best Year Ever accessory pack and adhere to card
There you have it! A fun shaker card for a birthday! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

For my card set this past week, I used the Celebrate Today stamp set. I love this set and coordinating framelits! So easy to create fun cards! For my favor I decided to pair the stamp set with the new Mini Treat Bag thinlets!

  • Cut the bag parts from Birthday Bash designer paper using the Mini Treat Bag thinlets dies and adhere together to form the bag
  • Cut a banner from a piece of Whisper White that measures 2" x 4 1/4" and flag the bottom
  • Adhere a strip of Birthday Bash designer paper to the edge of the banner that measures 3/8" x 4 1/4"
  • Stamp the balloon string image from the Celebrate Today stamp set onto the banner using Night of Navy ink
  • Stamp the balloon image onto a piece of Whisper White using Calypso Coral ink and cut out using the Balloon framelits
  • Stamp the "birthday" image onto the balloon using Night of Navy ink then adhere the balloon to the tag using dimensionals
  • Adhere the banner to the bag using dimensionals
  • Tie a bow using a piece of Coastal Cabana thick baker's twine and adhere to balloon

Baby Banner

Good morning everyone! I hope your week is going great so far! I am glad it's a short day for me today! The laundry seemed to pile up the day after I did it! Ugh! So I will dig into that. I also need to do a little stamping and some computer work. That should fill up my afternoon and evening - lol!

Today's card was inspired by an older sketch that I had seen. I thought the panel would be fun to use for the banner stamps in the new Celebrate Today stamp set. This is a great set with lots of possibilities!

  • Card base is Pistachio Pudding
  • Run a piece of Pistachio Pudding through the Big Shot using the Large Polka Dot embossing folder and adhere panel to the card base
  • Run a piece of Baked Brown Sugar through the Big Shot using the Large Scallop edgelit
  • On a piece of Whisper White stamp the banners image from Celebrate Today using Crisp Cantaloupe ink
  • Stamp the "baby" banner image onto a piece of Whisper White using Baked Brown Sugar ink three times and cut out using the Balloons framelits then adhere them to the panel
  • Adhere panel to the scalloped panel and then adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Add pearls along the scalloped edge
Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!
