Crisp Layered Flowers

Good morning, Friends! I hope your weekend is off to a great start! We are in the Denver area for the last two soccer games of the season! Thankfully the roads were great and the moon shone gorgeous last night as we drove over! It was so beautiful the way the moon reflected off the snow on the mountain tops! The scenery was just as beautiful as it is during the day! Loved it! So here we are and tomorrow we will drive home and begin the week all over again! :)

Today's card was one I did with my stamp club this month. I love these colors together! Here are the details:

  • Card base is Baked Brown Sugar
  • Layer of Baked Brown Sugar that is run through the Big Shot with the Pretty Print embossing folder and then adhered to a layer of Crisp Cantaloupe
  • Tie a piece of Very Vanilla seam binding ribbon around the panel and pop up onto card
  • Stamp the flower from Mixed Bunch in Crisp Cantaloupe onto Crisp Cantaloupe and punch out with the Blossom punch
  • Stamp flower from Flower Shop in Crisp Cantaloupe onto Crisp Cantaloupe and punch out with the Pansy punch and adhere to bigger flower with dimensionals
  • Use the Little Leaves sizzle to cut leaves from Pistachio Pudding and cut apart then adhere to back of flowers and pop up onto card
  • Punch a flower from Soft Suede using the Boho Blossoms punch and adhere to flower center and add a large rhinestone
  • Stamp greeting from Petite Pairs in Soft Suede

Good morning, Friends! Today marks the end of another fabulous week of special creations from the Create with Connie and Mary Fall Collection! At the end of each week Connie and Mary post a fun challenge. This week they have come up with a beautiful color challenge. Take a look!

Soft Sky, Crushed Curry and Chocolate Chip. These are colors that are found in the new Sweater Weather designer paper in the Holiday mini catalog. Here's how I put them together.

I was looking to do something other than leaves for this card. And I really love sunflowers! So I set about to try and create a sunflower. Here are the details:

  • Card base is Whisper White
  • A Chocolate Chip strip was run through the Big Shot using the Tasteful Trim die and then adhered to the back of a piece of Sweater Weather designer paper
  • Stamp greeting from Four You in Chocolate Chip
  • Pop panel up onto card
  • Stamp flower image from Mixed Bunch twice onto Whisper White using Crushed Curry ink
  • Cut flowers out by hand and then snip each petal
  • Layer flowers together
  • Fold a piece of 7/16" Natural Trim in half and adhere to card then adhere flowers to card with dimensionals
  • Stamp flower center in Chocolate Chip ink onto Whisper White, cut out and adhere to flower
  • Thread some linen thread through a Naturals button and tie a bow then adhere to flower center

Curry Flower

Good morning, Friends! I made it to the weekend! This weekend our town is hosting a Country Jam. In the 23 years that I have lived here, I have never been to Country Jam. I do like country music but not the crowds, heat and drunks. So I just try to stay away from all of that and before you know it, the festival is over and we return to our normal town! Well, this weekend, our soccer team was supposed to work the I.D. tent and there were not enough people to cover all the spots. So I got asked to help out. And being the nice person that I am :) I said yes. Thankfully we were under a nice shade tree and tent! We were away from most of the crowd and we only dealt with very few drunks. It was actually kind of fun! I had a lot of fun people watching. Wow! Very interesting people!! And today I get to spend the day stitching but tomorrow I look forward to just being lazy!!

Today's card was one that I did with my stamp club this month. I got the idea from the new catalog. I loved the layout and these colors are so fun and happy!! Here are the card details:

  • Card base is Whisper White with bottom corners rounded
  • Coastal Cabana layer with top corners rounded
  • Strip of Crushed Curry punched with dotted ribbon scallop punch and then adhered behind Coastal Cabana layer.
  • Stamp greeting from Perfectly Penned in Coastal Cabana and then pop up panel onto card
  • Strip of Pumpkin Pie designer paper from Polka Dot Parade pack, flag bottom and adhere to card
  • Stamp flower from Mixed Bunch in Crushed Curry onto Whisper White, punch out with Blossom punch and pop up onto card
  • Stamp flower center in Pumpkin Pie and punch out with 3/4" circle punch
  • Add a brad to flower center and pop up onto card
And there it is! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Mixed Bunch, Perfectly Penned; Paper- Whisper White, Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry, Polka Dot Parade designer paper; Ink- Crushed Curry, Coastal Cabana, Pumpkin Pie; Accessories- Blossom punch, 3/4" circle punch, dotted ribbon scallop punch, corner rounder, silver brad, dimensionals

Melon Mambo Friends

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is off to a fabulous start! I cannot believe how the weather has turned! We were having the most gorgeous weather with sun and temps in the 70's! But yesterday we got rain (which I'm not complaining about) and the temps dropped down into the 20's!! We had all kinds of freeze warnings! And we even had blizzard warnings! Yikes! Thankfully it didn't snow around here! My poor flowers! They don't know what to do - lol! I am so happy for the moisture, though. And I am so happy that Nick's track meet isn't today - lol! It would be really cold out there today! He has until Thursday for the weather to warm up. And it is supposed to.

Today's card was one of four that we did at stamp club last night! What a most wonderful and FUN bunch of ladies! Love them all!! I love how this card is so bright and fun and yet has a muted card base. I adhered a strip of Sunshine and Sprinkles designer paper (with the bottom flagged) to a piece of Crumb Cake card stock that was run through the Big Shot with the Woodgrain embossing folder. Then I added a strip of Whisper White with the end flagged that was stamped with the sentiment from Sweet Essentials in Melon Mambo. The panel is then popped up onto a card base of Crumb Cake. On a piece of Whisper White I stamped the flower from Mixed Bunch in Melon Mambo and punched it out with the Blossom punch. I also stamped the flower center onto Whisper White in Early Espresso and punched it out with the 3/4" circle punch. I added a silver brad and adhered it to the flower. To the back of the flower I added two leaves that were punched with the Blossom Petals builder punch from Old Olive. I folded these in half before adhering to the back of the flower. Then the flower is popped up onto the card. Super simple!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Mixed Bunch, Sweet Essentials; Paper- Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Old Olive, Sunshine and Sprinkles designer paper; Ink- Melon Mambo, Early Espresso; Accessories- Woodgrain embossing folder, Blossom punch, Blossom Petals builder punch, 3/4" circle punch, silver brad, dimensionals

I am so excited for this edition! I do hope you will join us as I am positive that you will love all the projects that the designers are working up just for our subscribers!

I have to say that Nick is really taking FULL advantage of his spring break! I have hardly seen him since last Thursday! But I am so glad for him! I am so happy that he has such wonderful friends to get together with and that they enjoy doing physical outdoor activities as much as he does! No couch potato, t.v. watching, video games, "I'm bored" kid here! Love that about him! For me, I finally get my hair cut and colored today! Yea!! I always love to have that done! Then I need to shop for some necessary items to finish a few birthday gifts and then home to get some stamping done!

Today's card was inspired by the Seize the Birthday challenge. I also did this card for a recent swap that I participated in. Love the fun bright colors on this! And it's fairly simple to put together! I punched a strip of Island Indigo with the dotted ribbon scallop punch and adhered it to the back of a piece of Summer Smooches designer paper. This is adhered to a piece of Whisper White. Then I tied a piece of Daffodil Delight seam binding ribbon around this. The sentiment from Friendly Phrases was stamped in Island Indigo and then the panel was adhered to a card base of Island Indigo. I stamped the flower from Mixed Bunch in Daffodil Delight and punched it out with the Blossom punch. The flower center was stamped in Island Indigo and fussy cut with the paper snips. I added a brad and popped this up onto the flower. I punched two leaves from Lucky Limeade using the Blossom Petals builder punch and adhered them to the back of the flower. The flower is popped up onto the card. I added two rhinestones to the greeting - just because :) Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Mixed Bunch, Friendly Phrases; Paper- Whisper White, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, Summer Smooches designer paper; Ink- Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo; Accessories- Daffodil Delight seam binding ribbon, Blossom punch, Blossom Petals builder punch, dotted ribbon scallop punch, silver brad, rhinestones, dimensionals

STB 1 - Feminine

Good morning, Friends! I am having a hard time waking up this morning! Ugh! I kept thinking that it was Sunday and I could sleep in a little. But I realized I was wrong and now I am downing the coffee to help me get going - lol! Looks like I need a day to do some stamping. I have quite a few cards I need to make and then I also have a swap to get ready for. I want to have all this done as we will be leaving for Las Vegas on Friday! Yea!! We are all looking forward to that!

Today's card was inspired by a new sketch challenge blog called Seize the Birthday. Each week they will have a new sketch and alternate between feminine and masculine birthdays. For the first week they have started with feminine. Ladies first!! Anyway, this is what I came up with. A flagged strip of Sahara Sand is adhered to a flagged strip of Sycamore Street designer paper and then to a piece of Island Indigo that was run through the Big Shot with the Honeycomb embossing folder and then to a card base of Island Indigo. Whew!! The flower from Mixed Bunch is stamped with Tangerine Tango onto Whisper White and punched with the Blossoms punch. I also punched two leaves from Lucky Limeade with the Blossom Petal builder punch. These are adhered to the back of the flower and then popped up onto the card. I punched a 3/4" circle from Island Indigo and adhered this to the flower center. I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Island Indigo onto a strip of Whisper White and flagged the end. This is tucked behind the Pool Party button with White baker's twine which is adhered with glue dots. The button is from the Sycamore Street ribbon and button pack. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Mixed Bunch, Teeny Tiny Wishes; Paper- Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Sycamore Street designer paper; Ink- Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango; Accessories- Honeycomb embossing folder, Sycamore Street ribbon and button pack, white bakers twine, Blossoms punch, Blossom Petal builder punch, 3/4" circle punch, dimensionals

Melon Flower

Good morning, Friends! Well, we made it home yesterday afternoon. I was totally wrong about the whole "one more game and we would be on the road home" thing. The boys lost their first game but they did have a second game that they did win. And that meant they had a third game which they won as well! So we ended on a pretty good note there! Nick had a blast and gave it his all!! And we all got a little bit too much sun. I am feeling the effects of that now. I must remember the sun block for this weekend! So it's a day of laundry and crafting. And boy is it humid around these parts! Ugh!!

Today's card is a simple one. I adhered a strip of Twitterpated designer paper that has one end flagged to a piece of Whisper White. I stamped the greeting from Sweet Essentials in Melon Mambo and popped this panel up onto a card base of Whisper White. Then I stamped the flower from Mixed Bunch in Melon Mambo onto Whisper White and punched it out with the Blossoms punch. I used the same punch to punch out a flower from Old Olive. I cut two petals from the Old Olive flower and adhered them to the back of the flower to act as leaves. The flower is popped up onto the card. I stamped the flower center in Basic Grey and cut this out. This is popped up onto the flower. Then I added a grey button with some white baker's twine to the flower center. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Mixed Bunch, Sweet Essentials; Paper- Whisper White, Old Olive, Twitterpated designer paper; Ink- Melon Mambo, Basic Grey; Accessories- Blossom punch, neutrals buttons, white baker's twine, dimensionals

Happy Day To You!

Good morning, Friends! Well, Becky and I head back to reality today. We will be making the long drive back to home. :( We have had a super great time here and Sherry is such a beautiful and wonderful hostess! We were never in need or want! Being back at home will be nice, too, as I do have a lot that I need to catch up on. And it will be good to see my family!

Today's card is the last of the cards that I did for my stamp club this month. I love how this one turned out. I started with a card base of Marina Mist and then added a strip of Real Red designer paper from the new Polka Dot Parade designer paper pack. I took a piece of Whisper White and scalloped the top with the Adorning Accents edgelits and stamped the greeting from Friendly Phrases in Early Espresso. This is popped up onto the card. Then I stamped the flower from Mixed Bunch in Summer Starfruit onto Whisper White and punched it with the Blossom flower punch. I stamped the flower center in Early Espresso and cut it out. This is adhered to the flower and I added a button with some Early Espresso baker's twine to the center. I punched another flower with the Blossom punch from Gumball Green and used two petals for the leaves. The flower is popped up onto the card. Happy day to you all and thanks for stopping by!!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Mixed Bunch, Friendly Phrases; Paper- Marina Mist, Whisper White, Gumball Green, Polka Dot Parade designer paper; Ink- Summer Starfruit, Early Espresso; Accessories- Adorning Accents edgelits, Blossom punch, itty bitty buttons, Early Espresso baker's twine, dimensionals

SFF 060112

Good Friday morning everyone! I am SOOOOO excited because today is the first day that we can order from the NEW Stampin' Up! catalog!!! Yippppeeee!!! I am also pleased to bring you the latest sketch challenge from Sketch Frenzy Friday! This week's sketch was created by Sharon Wheet. Take a look!

Lots of wonderful possibilities here!! And here's what I came up with!

I kept it pretty simple! I started by making my flower. I used the Mixed Bunch set to stamp my flower in Raspberry Ripple onto Whisper White and then punch it out with the Blossom punch. Then I stamped the flower center in Pretty in Pink also onto Whisper White and cut it out. I popped the flower center onto the flower. Then I stamped the greeting from A Word for You in Raspberry Ripple onto a strip of Whisper White and flagged one end. I tucked the other end behind the flower center. I used Old Olive to die cut some leaves with the Little Leaves sizzlet and adhered these to the back of the flower. All of this is popped up onto a square of Whisper White. My card base is Whisper White with a piece of Raspberry Ripple that has been run through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice embossing folder. Then the square panel is popped up on top of that. The finishing touch is a rhinestone for the flower center!

Be sure to click 'here' to see what Jennifer has come up with! Take the entire tour to see what the other designers have done with this great sketch! I hope that you will have some time to create a project using this sketch! Be sure to upload your creation to the Sketch Frenzy Friday site so we can all see! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

TSSC 210

Good morning from Ault! My friend and I are visiting a very good stamping/crafting friend who lives in Ault. Did you know that it means "A Unique Little Town"? Cute, huh! We got here yesterday early evening and had a fantastic dinner! Then we did some wool appliqué the rest of the evening! Today we are going to have a wonderful breakfast and then we are going on a field trip to various stamping and quilting stores. Fun, fun fun!!!

Today's card was inspired by Mary Jo's Lunchtime Sketch Challenge. I really liked the sketch and had fun with this card. I tried some different colors, too. My card base is Riding Hood Red with a piece of Basic Gray that was run through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. Then I stamped the greeting from Friendly Phrases in Basic Gray onto Whisper White and added two silver brads. This was adhered to the card and then a piece of Twitterpated designer paper. Then I stamped the flower from Mixed Bunch in Riding Hood Red onto Whisper White and punched it out with the Blossom punch. I also used the Blossom punch to punch out a flower from Riding Hood Red card stock and then from Pear Pizzazz card stock. The two Riding Hood Red flowers are adhered together. I cut two petals from the Pear Pizzazz flower and used them as leaves and adhered them behind my flowers. This is popped up onto the card. Then I took a Basic Gray button and tied a bow with the white baker's twine. I glue dotted this to the middle of the flower. And there you have it! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

A Happy Mixed Bunch

Good morning everyone! I am pre-posting once again as we will have another early morning. The first two games did not go our way. The boys are playing teams that are ranked very high in their states where they come from. They are definitely getting some great experience by playing against some super skilled kids! And their spirits seem to be positive despite the lopsided scores of their games. I just hope the boys can score some goals. Regardless, they have been having a great time in really awesome weather! We even got to go to the zoo! FUN!

Today's card is one that I had my stamp club ladies do last week. I really liked how this one turned out, too. Nice and spring-like! I took a piece of Whisper White and ran it through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder and I only embossed the top part of that piece. I stamped the greeting from Friendly Phrases on the bottom part of that piece and rounded the bottom right hand corner with the corner rounder. Then I took a strip f Baja Breeze card stock and ran it through the Big Shot with the Tasteful Trim die and adhered that to this panel to separate the dots from the greeting. Then I tied a piece of Calypso Coral ribbon from the SAB Everyday Enchantment ribbon and brad pack. Then I glued a piece of Calypso Coral card stock the back of this panel that had been punched with the dotted ribbon scallop punch. This panel was adhered to a card base of Whisper White that had the bottom right hand corners punched. Then I stamped the flower from Mixed Bunch in Calypso Coral onto Whisper White and punched it out with the Blossom punch. I also punched another flower from Calypso Coral. I adhered the two punched flowers together and slightly curled the flower petals up to give it a little more dimension. Then I punched a 3/4" circle from Whisper White and a flower using the Blossom Bouquet triple layer punch from Daffodil Delight. These were adhered together and a Calypso Coral brad was put through the middle. Then I popped it up onto the flower and the flower was popped up on the card. I know this sounds like a lot but the card was pretty easy to put together! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Friendly Phrases, Mixed Bunch; Paper- Whisper White, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Baja Breeze; Ink- Calypso Coral; Accessories- Everyday Enchantment ribbon and brad pack, Blossom punch, Blossom Bouquet triple layer punch, 3/4" circle punch, In Color brads, Tasteful Trim die, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, corner rounder, dimensionals

CCMC 189

Good morning everyone! I hope your week is going great! Today is the day we will be leaving for Phoenix!! Nick has a soccer tournament down there and we are so excited to be going! Today is also the day for another fabulous challenge at Create with Connie and Mary. This week we are being challenged with color. Take a look at these fabulous colors!

Melon Mambo, Chocolate Chip and Lucky Limeade are the wonderful colors for this challenge! Look at what I came up with!

I think that I just love these colors together! So bright and cheery and brown looks great with these colors, too! I took a piece of Whisper White and stamped the greeting from Friendly Phrases in Chocolate Chip. I added two strips of Melon Mambo card stock that were punched with the dotted ribbon scallop punch behind it and then adhered it to a piece of Chocolate Chip. This panel is popped up on a card base of Chocolate Chip. Then I stamped the flower from Mixed Bunch in Melon Mambo onto Whisper White and punched it with the Blossom punch. I used the same punch to punch another flower from Lucky Limeade. I cut two flower petals and adhered them to the back of the Melon Mambo flower. Then I stamped the flower center in Chocolate Chip on Whisper White and cut it out. This is popped up on the flower. I popped up the flower onto the card. Then I tied a bow with the white baker's twine in a clear bitty button and adhered it to the flower center. The finishing touch was to add two rhinestones under the greeting. And it's finished! Simple!

Make sure to visit the Create with Connie and Mary site to see what the other designers did with these super colors. I hope that you will be able to play along with us this week! We always love to see what you do! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

FMS 21

Good morning, Friends! I hope you all had a great weekend! I can't believe that we are at another Monday. I could have used another day in the weekend but here we go! I have my stamp club tonight so I need to spend most of the day getting ready for that. And then there is a super basketball game on later tonight!

Today's card was inspired from a sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. My card base is Very Vanilla to which I added two strips of the Everyday Enchantment designer paper that I clipped at the ends to make it look like it was flagged. Then I stamped the flower from Mixed Bunch in Pool Party on Very Vanilla and punched it out with the Blossom punch. I also punched a flower out with the same punch from Pool Party and Lucky Limeade. I slightly curled the petals of the Very Vanilla flower before adhering it to the Pool Party flower and then I cut two of the Lucky Limeade petals and adhered them to the back of the flower to look like leaves. This is popped up on the card. Then I punched a flower from Pool Party using the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer punch. I put a brad from the Everyday Enchantment ribbon and brad pack through the middle. I felt like it didn't show up very well so I punched a 1/2" circle from Soft Suede and glued it to the flower. I popped up the punched/brad flower up onto the center of the flower. Then I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Pool Party onto a strip of Very Vanilla and flagged one end. I tucked this under the flower. And there you have it! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Flagged Flower

Good Sunday morning everyone! It was sure great to sleep in this morning but I didn't really expect to sleep this long! I took a peek at the clock and just expected to sleep about a half hour longer and ended up sleeping two hours longer!! Yikes! Oh well! Now I don't have as much time before I have to get Nick to soccer practice. Looks to be a beautiful day today!

Today's card is one that I did for a recent swap I participated in. My card base is Soft Suede with a piece of Pool Party glued down. Then I took a piece of Whisper White and rounded the bottom corners. I took a piece of the Attic Boutique designer paper and scalloped one end and corner rounded the other. I glued this to the Whisper White piece and then wrapped a piece of Pool Party seam binding ribbon around it before popping it up on the card. On a scrap piece of Whisper White I stamped the flower from Mixed Bunch in Pool Party and punched it out with the Blossom punch. I also stamped the flower center in Soft Suede and punched it out with the 3/4" circle punch. I put a brad through this and popped it up on the flower and the flower is popped up on the card. Then I took two strips of Whisper White and stamped the words on each in Soft Suede. The greeting is from the hostess set, Happiest Birthday Wishes. I flagged one end on each and glued them to the card by tucking them behind the flower. And there you have it! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Mixed Bunch, Happiest Birthday Wishes; Paper- Whisper White, Soft Suede, Pool Party, Attic Boutique designer paper; Ink- Pool Party, Soft Suede; Accessories- Pool Party seam binding ribbon, scallop edge border punch, corner rounder, Blossom punch, 3/4" circle punch, gold brad, dimensionals

My Freak Swap

Good morning everyone! I hope that your first week of the new year was great! I am glad that it was a short one of waking up early! It was sure nice to sleep in today. Especially since the weather is sort of dreary today. Not used to that as it has been so nice around here! You wouldn't think it was even winter! I do hope the mountains get some snow because they are kind of hurting for it right now.

Today's card is one I did for a recent swap I was in. The swap was to showcase the new products in the Occasions mini. I do like how this one turned out! My card base is Blushing Bride. Then I cut a piece of Whisper White and stamped the greeting from Friendly Phrases in the bottom right hand corner in Basic Grey. This piece was glued to a piece of Basic Grey and the glued to the card front. Then I cut a piece of the Twitterpated designer paper and flagged both ends before gluing it down to the Whisper White piece. Then I used the new labels framelits dies and cut a label from Whisper White. I popped this up on the card. For my flower I stamped the image from Mixed Bunch in Blushing Bride onto Whisper White and cut it out by hand. Then I adhered it to a flower that I punched from Riding Hood Red with the blossom punch. I only put adhesive in the middle of the flower and then gently curled the edges of the petals to give it a little more dimension. This part is popped up on the label. Then I stamped the flower center with Riding Hood Red onto Whisper White and cut it out. I put a silver brad through the center and then popped this up in the center of the flower. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Wonderful Blossom

Good morning everyone! This is the last day that I can sleep in. Bummer. And Nick doesn't think it is so great, either. His vacation will end today and tomorrow he goes back to school and starts the third quarter. I can't believe that he is so close to being a seventh grader! What happened? Time to get back to a routine for all of us. And that IS a good thing - lol!! I was so glad to find time to stamp a few cards yesterday.

Today's card was inspired by a PaperCrafts magazine. I went through some of my old magazines yesterday to see if I could find some inspiration. And I did! It's fun to re-visit some of those. This is a really simple card, too. My card base is Pear Pizzazz. I added two strips of designer paper from the Twitterpated designer paper pack and then stamped the greeting from Friendly Phrases above those. Then I punched a circle from Basic Grey card stock with the 2 1/2" circle punch and stamped a flower image from the Mixed Bunch set with Basic Grey ink. For my flower I punched two flowers using the blossom punch and Blushing Bride card stock. Then I took my bone folder and curled the petals until the fibers in the paper weakened. Then I could carefully separate the petals. Makes it look like there are more flowers, doesn't it? I adhered the flowers together. Then I stamped the flower center image in Basic Grey ink on Whisper White card stock and cut it out. I glued it to the center and added a Basic Grey button with some white baker's twine. The flower is glued to the circle and then popped up on the card. Something a little different for me and a lot of fun! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Mixed Indigo

Good morning, Friends! I am pre-posting this as we will be up early this morning and driving back to Colorado! What a great visit we had!

Today's card was inspired by a card I saw in the recent PaperCrafts magazine. Mine doesn't look anything like the magazine one, but the card I saw inspired me to use some of my new products. I started with a card base of Whisper White. I cut down another piece of Whisper White and glued a piece of the Blushing Bride pleated satin ribbon to it. Then I stamped the greeting from Friendly Phrases in Island Indigo right above that. I popped this up on the card base. Then I stamped the flower from Mixed Bunch on a scrap piece of Whisper White in Island Indigo and punched it out with the Blossom punch. I colored in the flower with the Blushing Bride marker. I also punched a flower using the same punch from Island Indigo. I attached these two punched flowers together and popped them up on the card. Then I ran some linen thread through a Baja Breeze button (from the new Twitterpated designer buttons) and glued that to the center of the flowers. The last thing I did was to curl the edges of the flower petals to give it some more dimension. A super simple card! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Enchanting Birthday

Good morning, Friends! I am sure you can tell that I am having a fantabulous time with my family! My posts are getting later and later in the day - lol! I love to sit around the table in the morning sipping my coffee and talking with everyone. This is something that I will miss when I have to go home.

Today's card uses some new products! I decided that I would start showing some new products from the upcoming Occasions and SAB catalogs. You are going to fall in love with these wonderful products!! While this card is not my favorite, I like the idea. I started with a card base of Very Vanilla. Then I cut down a piece of Very Vanilla and a piece of Calypso Coral and adhered them together. I wrapped a piece of Calypso Coral ribbon (from the new SAB catalog) around this three times and tied it. This piece is then popped up onto the card. Then I punched two flowers with the Blossom punch (from the new Occasions mini catalog) from new designer paper from the SAB catalog. Please forgive me for not knowing the names. I will look them up and put them in the recipe. The two flowers are glued together and then I curled up the ends and popped it up on the card. Then I stamped the flower center from the Mixed Bunch set onto Very Vanilla with Soft Suede and cut it out. Then I glued it to a 1" circle that was punched from Soft Suede. Then I used a new brad from the SAB catalog to put in the center. This is popped up on the card. Finally, I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Soft Suede onto the card (I actually recommend that you stamp this before popping up the panel). Simple and cute! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!
