Good morning, Friends! This last week of June seems to be flying by! Nick has had a lot of soccer going on and we seem to be running into town several times a day. Sure keeps one busy!! I haven't even cooked dinner at home all week! I think I might be able to tonight but now I need to figure out what we might want - lol! If I can get that figured out I can go to the store while Nick is at camp this morning and time it just right so that when I'm done shopping he's done at camp and then we go straight home so nothing spoils in this heat!! Guess I had better start thinking...
Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Paper Players. Not sure how I feel about this one. I thought the sketch was unique and fun but I what I visualized didn't quite come through on this card. But here it is! Card details:
- Card base is Basic Grey
- Layer of Basic Grey run through the Big Shot using the Framed Tulip TIEF and then adhered to card base
- Layer of Primrose Petals
- Stamp label image from Everything Eleanor onto Very Vanilla using Pink Pirouette, cut out and then cut the top part of label off
- Stamp sentiment from Petite Pairs onto label in Basic Grey and then adhere to layer
- Tie a piece of Basic Grey stitched grosgrain ribbon around layer and pop up onto card
- Stamp scallop image in Primrose Petals onto Very Vanilla and cut out
- Punch a circle from Basic Grey with the 1 1/4" circle punch, adhere to scallop image and pop up onto card
- Stamp bird image onto Very Vanilla using Basic Grey ink, punch out using the 1 1/4" circle punch and pop up onto card
- Thread some linen thread through a Very Vintage designer button and adhere to card

Good morning, Friends! I here with this week's challenge from the Create with Connie and Mary team! This week we have a color challenge! Take a look at this wonderful collection of colors!
Aren't they yummy!! I am in love with this combination! And what a perfect time to use the new Epic Day Washi Tape and designer paper! Here's what I came up with!
I used the sketch at The Paper Players to help me with the layout. I love the banners so this was easy to put together! I took a strip of Basic Grey to the Big Shot and ran it through with the Chevron embossing folder. This is adhered to a card base of Pool Party. Then I two prints from the Epic Day designer series paper to make two banners (the Calypso Coral and Pool Party ones). The third banner was made by taking the Washi Tape and putting it onto a strip of Whisper White. Then I trimmed it up and made a banner! The three banners are adhered to the card. I stamped the chevron image from Oh, Hello in Pool Party onto Whisper White. Then over the top of this I stamped the sentiment in Basic Grey. This is punched out with the 1 3/4" circle punch and adhered to a piece of Calypso Coral that was punched with the 2 3/8" scallop circle punch. I popped this up onto the card and added a Basic Grey button that was tied with some white baker's twine.

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is off to a fabulous start! I know those in the midwest are snowbound! Wow!! Here we did get a little snow last night but Nick is really jealous of those kiddos who get another day off - lol! I just hope that all this snow will start to help with the drought situation that we will be facing this summer. I am starting to feel better and better as the days go by (slowly). I hope today is another good day. I tried to do some stamping yesterday but only got this card done. Well, I did get another one done but I want to see if I can make it a little more exciting. We will see if I have it in me today - lol!
Today's card was inspired by the sketch challenge at The Paper Players. A very clean and simple sketch! And I think that I held to that with my card. I stamped the outline image from Oh, Hello in Sahara Sand onto a card base of Whisper White and the "hello" part of the greeting in Rich Razzleberry (I must have gotten some ink on my hand so I tried to cover it up with the white gel pen). Then I used the Ovals framelits die and cut the smallest oval from Pool Party and popped it up onto the card. I stamped the flower in Rich Razzleberry and Lucky Limeade onto a scrap of Whisper White and cut it out. This is popped up onto the oval. Finally I threaded some white baker's twine through a button from the Sycamore Street ribbon and button pack and adhered it to the oval. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning everyone! I hope you are all doing well. I have to confess that I am not. Yesterday before we left my friend Sherry's house I was not feeling very good and my eye was almost swollen shut. A five hour drive home and I slept most of the way. My stomach wasn't upset or anything but I just felt awful and my head hurt!! Poor Becky! I was just an awful passenger. I went to the doctor right when I got home and he has diagnosed me as having shingles. What??? Anyway, I am up this morning trying to do what I normally do and it is very hard. :( But I will try to press on...
My card today was inspired by last week's challenge at The Paper Players to use banners on a clean and simple card. And here's mine! I stamped the jar Perfectly Preserved in Early Espresso onto a panel of Very Vanilla then the stem in Lucky Limeade and then the flowers in Island Indigo. I pierced a circle around the flowers with the paper piercing essentials pack. I added three banners made from the Orchard Harvest designer paper and popped this panel up onto a card base of Very Vanilla. Then I stamped the greeting by inking just the words with an Island Indigo marker. Finally, I added three rhinestones. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!

Good morning everyone! I hope your week is off to a great start! Nothing exciting going on around here this week. And that is kind of nice right now!
Today's card is from a sketch at The Paper Players. This is actually their challenge for last week but it would also fit this week's challenge, too. So I will probably enter it for that one. But I did use the sketch as my starting point. I took a piece of Baja Breeze and added a piece of Twitterpated designer paper to it. Then I stamped the greeting from Thank You Kindly in Basic Grey onto a scrap of Whisper White and punched it out with the Decorative Label punch. This is glued to the back of the Baja Breeze panel. Then I wrapped a piece of Whisper White taffeta ribbon around this and popped it up on a card base of Whisper White. For my focal point I took a stamp from the Apothecary Art set and stamped just the outline part of the image. Then I took it to the Big Shot and used my Labels Framelits die to cut out the shape. This is popped up over the ribbon. I stamped the flower images from Bordering on Romance on scrap pieces of Whisper White in Basic Grey and colored them in with Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze, Island Indigo, Riding Hood Red and Pear Pizzazz markers. I cut these out and popped them up on the label frame. The little flower in the corner actually has two dimensionals on it! The last thing I did was to add a little bling with some rhinestones! Good morning, Friends! I hope your weekend is off to a great start! My husband and son are out camping and fishing this weekend, so I have the whole house to myself!! They left yesterday and will be back sometime tomorrow! While I love having the house to myself, I find it hard to sleep at night. So I am a little tired this morning! Today is also our demonstrator team meeting! And I am in charge of refreshments!! After I get this posted I will be baking some goodies to take! Yum! It's probably a good thing that my boys aren't here to eat them before I leave - lol!
