Good morning, Friends! I here with this week's challenge from the Create with Connie and Mary team! This week we have a color challenge! Take a look at this wonderful collection of colors!
Aren't they yummy!! I am in love with this combination! And what a perfect time to use the new Epic Day Washi Tape and designer paper! Here's what I came up with!
I used the sketch at The Paper Players to help me with the layout. I love the banners so this was easy to put together! I took a strip of Basic Grey to the Big Shot and ran it through with the Chevron embossing folder. This is adhered to a card base of Pool Party. Then I two prints from the Epic Day designer series paper to make two banners (the Calypso Coral and Pool Party ones). The third banner was made by taking the Washi Tape and putting it onto a strip of Whisper White. Then I trimmed it up and made a banner! The three banners are adhered to the card. I stamped the chevron image from Oh, Hello in Pool Party onto Whisper White. Then over the top of this I stamped the sentiment in Basic Grey. This is punched out with the 1 3/4" circle punch and adhered to a piece of Calypso Coral that was punched with the 2 3/8" scallop circle punch. I popped this up onto the card and added a Basic Grey button that was tied with some white baker's twine.
Be sure to visit the Create with Connie and Mary website to see what the other designers did with these colors. I hope you will be inspired to play along! I can't wait to see what you do with the fabulous colors! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!!

You've inspired me to play with my washi tape. I like the two different ways you've used it and the effects you've gotten.
ReplyDeleteAnother washi tape masterpiece. I just need to get the stuff out and play with it! It sort of scares me...I'll be brave! Love this simple card!
ReplyDeleteI love this color combination too. Loving the way you used washi tape with your card. Awesome card, Deb!
ReplyDeleteDeb, your clean design really showcases these colors and I love how you incorporated the washi tape! Love your card!
ReplyDeleteHi Deb--love this! Great idea to use the washi tape on cardstock and cut into a banner--perfect when you want to use it on an embossed background. Genius idea! Love your take on the sketch and these colors are fabulous together! So glad you joined us at The Paper Players!

ReplyDeleteVery pretty Deb! Love the repeated chevron pattern. Thank you so much for joining us this week at the Paper Players! :)
ReplyDeleteLoving the banners Deb. I like how the chevron embossing matches the tiny stamped chevron's in the sentiment layer. Sorry I'm late commenting, catching up from vacation!
